Starlink: Battle For Atlas feels a bit like No Man's Sky with a bigger development budget. The game is a very decent space-opera and the toys are cleverly used. The narrative is quite a let-down though and the price is still high, even for players who only want the digital content.- JeuxActu

We can't say that Mad Max is a disappointment. Avalanche gave its game some great qualities such as quality visuals and RPG features to develop your hero and your car. But the game left us with a bittersweet taste of something that could have been much better if the studio had tried to take some more gambles.- JeuxActu

Did you like Splatoon? Did you enjoy Splatoon 2? And what about Splatoon 2 : Octo Expansion? Did you like it ? Then you'll love Splatoon 3! True to itself, the game does not really seek to convince a new audience, and is careful not to offend the regulars. Yes, despite the arrival of several small new features (weapons, maps, replays, Map mode and territories, etc.) Splatoon 3 clearly relies on its achievements.- JeuxActu

Far Cry 3: blood Dragon is a huge trip in the 80's that the developers have allowed themselves by modding the awesome Far Cry 3. Only sold online through Steam, the PSN and Xbox Live for 15 miserable euros, this game is a true acid trip that finally puts the humor as the central point in the storyline hence a game which is incredibly fun to play. Combining the strength of Far Cry 3 in its original form with a creative surge from a game designers with balls, Blood Dragon delivers what we were expect if since long ago: some pure unadulterated fun and that was clearly the objective of Sgt Rex Power Colt whose presence is enough to make this game one of the best investments of the year.- JeuxActu

A Way out is a very good coop game that still suffers from some issues mainly due to the youth of the studio. The game is still one of the most rewarding coop experiences we've had this year.- JeuxActu

As with many remasters, the only reason to buy Gravity Rush Remastered is if you didn't have the chance to play the original one when it came out in 2012. Everything is exactly the same albeit with HD graphics.- JeuxActu

We suspected it a little, but it is sure now : Overwatch 2 is more an update of the first installment than a real sequel. Fortunately, the game became a free-to-play game and the news business model helps to forget this lack of new features and the fact that Blizzard has recycled a lot of things, like all the characters and stages.- JeuxActu

If Batman Arkham Origins is the first game you play in the series, then you'll find it very enjoyable because it has all the great qualities of Arkham City with a new story and even some very few new features. But if you already played Batman Arkham City, then you'll find too many similarities to justify to buy a new game.- JeuxActu

Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo is a nice improvement over the previous rally games from Milestone. With an arcady touch, the games strength is its content and its ease of use, while more experienced players will head over to Codemaster's Dirt Rally.- JeuxActu

If you have taken the time to read our article, you have noticed that there are many negative points with Rise of the Ronin, but the game also has good arguments for its defense and to assert itself in relation to the competition, starting with its gameplay, which is the main thing in a video game. Obviously, the game will suffer from comparison with Ghost of Tsushima, which, whatever anyone says, redefined samurai games. Sucker Punch's game was not perfect, but its open world was much better controlled, more enchanting, more captivating and above all more interesting to explore. Rise of the Ronin is a test attempt on the side, with an empty open world, quite flat and ultimately not very interesting to discover. Technically too, it doesn't keep up, and it's even very weak, especially when we know that it is a game developed exclusively on PS5 and that it still required 9 years of production. Team Ninja still has a lot to prove in the field of open world games, but manages to interest people through the richness of its gameplay and its numerous possibilities. We hope that this first attempt will allow the Japanese studio to do better next time.- JeuxActu

One Piece: Pirate Warriors isn't the game of the year but it's probably the best game in the series. Some can say it's just a Dynasty Warriors-like, with all the problems that come with it, but it's a good one. The use of Quick Time Events is clever and brings some kind of renewal to the gameplay. Most of all, Pirate Warriors is the most accurate episode and it will be no problem to convince the fans.- JeuxActu

Ground Zeroes is full of promises. The fact is that Metal Gear has barely ever been so enjoyable, so smooth to play. The open-world gameplay fits perfectly with the essence of the series and this clearly brings something more. Epic, beautiful (even if we can hope for more once PS3 and Xbox 360 won't be the main targets), flexible and easy to comprehend and to manipulate, Ground Zeroes is, nevertheless, only some kind of blown up DLC. As long as it's sold as a full game, even with a price cut, it will not meet expectations.- JeuxActu

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is what it has been made for. A very accomplished story and a huge number of new puzzles make of this episode a safe bet for the fans. There is therefore a dearth of new features. But this final episode will satisfy newcomers and old fans.- JeuxActu

It's hard to be fully satisfied with First Light if you've played InFamous: Second Son. The game as a whole continues to be very fun but some features wouldn't have been erased. We've got some regrets for the karma system obviously and above all, the missions lack something new. Nevertheless, for such a price tag, First Light will keep you busy for some time and perhaps you'll be happy to learn about Fetch's life.- JeuxActu

You could say Death Stranding 2 is to the first game what Metal Gear Solid 4 was to MGS3: a louder, flashier sequel that tries to impress, but ends up being less moving, less inspired, and less on point. It feels like Hideo Kojima gave in to the urge for self-references, fan service, and over-the-top moments—at the cost of narrative coherence and depth. And that’s really the biggest letdown: it’s not just that the game has flaws, it’s that it gives up on being unique. In the end, Death Stranding 2 isn’t a bad game by any means (it’s actually super solid on a technical and artistic level) but it still feels kind of flat, occasionally lazy, and almost pointless. It loses part of what made the original so special: that weird, uncompromising experience that didn’t look or feel like anything else out there.Where the first one was bold enough to throw you off balance, this one plays it safe. What used to feel like a total gaming oddity now feels like a hybrid product, stuck between big creative ideas and the need to please a wider audience. Kojima probably wanted to take us on another journey, but by refusing to really go somewhere new, it mostly just feels like we’re going in circles.- JeuxActu

Fire Emblem Warriors is a hit for the fans of Musö games as well as fans of the Fire Emblem IP with a joy-inspiring combat system. The only let downs are a crappy AI and some very weird storylines. A good beat'em all on Switch overall.- JeuxActu

Dying Light 2 keeps all the qualities of the first episode, and won't disappoint the lovers of zombies, parkour and weapon tinkering. Despite relatively detailed faces and some beautiful panoramas, the game has some issues, like an annoying open world, which multiplies the tricks already seen elsewhere, especially in Ubisoft productions. We were expecting something more new and fresh.- JeuxActu

A successful bet for Robocop from the Teyon studio which offers us a pleasant spectacle, especially if we like the character and this 80's 90's period of American cinema. But make no mistake, Robocop is an ultra generic FPS, bordering on old school in its foundations, the game doesn't invent anything and people who only swear by the codes of the modern FPS will perhaps be disappointed. But the game has such a pleasant feeling that it is difficult to ignore its pleasure, especially since the game respects the license to death, and that must also be emphasized. It's violent, it's kitsch and it's even narrative, but we had a lot of fun in the 12/15 hours needed to finish the game. Because yes, this Robocop also has the delicacy of having a duration of very honest life for a narrative single player game.- JeuxActu

After Marsupilami The Secret of the Sarcophagus in 2021, the Ocellus studio is now tackling the Smurfs license, at the request of Microids of course. After taking inspiration from Donkey Kong Country 3 years ago, it was a certain Super Mario 3D World that served as the basis for this epic of dreams, and once again, the result is satisfactory. Whether visually or in its gameplay, everything is done with care and a certain quality. There are even some flashes of brilliance in certain passages, such as the mirror level, the free fall in Tetris mode and the infiltration mission, not to mention these huge bosses to face who are also not lacking in game design ideas. No, really, it's clean and square as they say, even if deep down, it lacks risk-taking and diversity. In the meantime, this Smurfs: Epic Dreams does its job very well and does what is asked of it: a platform game suitable for young and old, playable in cooperation to mix generations, and therefore have a good time.- JeuxActu

The GRID series goes arcade with this new game. A ruthless and less exigent gameplay are proof that GRID 2 places itself between Gran Turismo and Need For Speed, leaning towards the arcade style of EA's title. In spite of a moderately interesting solo mode, mostly ruined by a criminal IA, the games scores back with a very fun multiplayer very old school inspired. The lack of real link between the two modes is actually a strength as one don't need to hit the solo to unlocks stuff in multiplayer. GRID 2 still carries the original's DNA but it focuses on arcade in order to seduce amateurs of racing games that want to avoir the tech malarkey.- JeuxActu

Before you go and buy Dead Rising 3 ask yourself what you expect from the game. If you seek a fun sequel to Dead Rising 2, with some new things, then the game is for you, no hesitations. Still as fun as before and populated with a large number of zombies, it delivers a good dose of action. On the other hand, if you're hoping that this launch title stuns you with it's graphics or revolutionizes the franchise, you will be disappointed because it simply is not the case. If the fun is present, the "wow, that's unseen" effect is clearly missing.- JeuxActu

The only actual problems with Styx come from the fact that it's not a big budget game. Sometimes, we can clearly feel it. But fortunately, the price tag balanced this little glitch and we can honestly say that the quality of the game is not questionable. Open world and very straightforward at the same time, Styx urges us to try different ways, to play the missions several times to discover all of its secrets.- JeuxActu

Unsurprisingly, Lightning Returns : Final Fantasy XIII is like the trilogy it ends: full of appeal but ruined by flaws you can't help to notice. We're speaking about the technical aspect that the ip has stacked since its arrival on PS3 and Xbox 360, which still harms the game and our eyes. We're even more disappointed to see that it ruins the good artistic direction of the game. We also have to mention the difficulty, set on extremely hard in a hope to increase the life of the game. But Lightning returns also has some great features, the 13 days left to Lightning to achieve its mission, and the quests to be achieved give a good rhythm to the title, while the costume system give a true strategic dimention to the fights. Don't miss it and hang on tight.- JeuxActu

Far from being a simple clone of XCOM on which we would have added a Marvel skin, Midnight Suns is a different tactical. Forgetting about XCOM's game mechanics for an interesting card system sets Firaxis apart from other games. And then the fights benefit from rather pretty visual effects, and different interactions with the environment which add a small additional tactical layer.- JeuxActu

While not perfect, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes offers a great and charming adventure. The spirit of the famous detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle remains intact, as the game proposes many improvements in terms of gameplay.
