Despite its new cooperative gameplay, Epic Mickey 2 is not the epic sequel we were waiting for. The title developed by Junction Point studios lacks real ambition, especially regarding its technical innovations compared to the previous episode on Wii. And yet, Epic Mickey 2 offers enough hints to famous Disney productions and beautiful landscapes to satisfy players, and it will occupy them for hours thanks to its great game length and a amazing world to paint just as you like.- JeuxActu

If Dragon Ball Z : Extreme Butoden had a great starting point with the 2D old-school fighting pedigree, Arc System Works blew it by making the game incredibly repetitive in its gameplay and because of the lousy Z-assist System. Still recommended to hardcore fans.- JeuxActu

Ten years after Super Meat Boy, SMB Forever has the merit to try something new and yes, maybe surprising. Unfortunately, the switch from a classic platform game to an autorunner risks leaving a lot of fans behind. But the game absolutely does not sink into mediocrity despite its few flaws.- JeuxActu

Mafia The Old Country was meant to revive the franchise after the failure of Mafia 3. Its strengths lie in a gripping story, charismatic characters, and a beautifully realized Sicilian setting. The cinematic presentation and soundtrack add real flair. But the gameplay falls flat: gunfights lack punch, stealth feels dated, knife duels repeat themselves, and stiff animations break immersion. The game also over-assists the player, undermining its own realism. In the end, it’s a visually stunning but mechanically outdated entry, worth it for the story but disappointing for anyone seeking engaging gameplay.- JeuxActu

With its tons of content and its inventive gameplay, Disgaea 3 : Absence of Detention is a great game. But this version is totally dispensable for PlayStation 3 owners and for newcomers who can be frustrated by the disappearance of the french translation. More characters, more stories, but for a limited audience.- JeuxActu

Very exciting on paper, Back 4 Blood still blows hot and cold once you take it in hand. It's a good shooter, yes. The atmosphere and the Left 4 Dead touch are directly perceptible, of course. The card system extends life and encourages players to be strategic, okay. But there are still too many small imperfections here and there to consider the game a total success.- JeuxActu

Mother Russia Bleeds is a nice first down for Le Cartel Studio, but not yet a masterpiece because of some bugs, a very changing difficulty and too much big pixels that make it kind of hard to see things. The game is saved by its cliché Russian setting and a very good OST.- JeuxActu

Where the Water Tastes Like Water feels like a roadtrip deep into the heart of America, with lots of nice stories. The tasks are still very repetitive, and a Director's Cut version would improve it a lot.- JeuxActu

Easy to learn and fun from the get-go, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 feels like the rightful heir to NBA Jam, but the pay-to-win system needed to acquire all the players ruins the fun and make it more of a party-game than something you'll play for straight days.- JeuxActu

With no surprise the guys at Traveller's Tales are delivering a LEGO game that's still decent. But this year the studio has snoozed a bit with a game deprived from any innovation. Happily the Marvel license was chosen this year, and it can brig a special taste to the game by itself. Over a hundred characters from Stan Lee's imagination, a new scenario, a good gameplay and a nice lifespan, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a good LEGO game, maybe one of the most fun to play, but not necessarily a classic of the series, be it current gen' version or next gen'.- JeuxActu

Tell me Why is clearly the heir of Life Is Strange, but it will only appeal to those who don't mind to hear the same story. Both games are extremely similar, and it feels like DontNod is getting low on inspiration. If you don't mind that deja vu feel, you'll enjoy a nice storyline and a very nice artistic touch.- JeuxActu

A DLC that's strictly made for the hardcore fans of the series. With a single campaign, 3 companies and a fourth one sold as a DLC, it all comes pretty expensive for not much content. Grab it if you're fond of the IP, wait for a Steam discount otherwise.- JeuxActu

It's hard to understand why EA wants to make FIFA more casual, more accessible, as the series is a record seller every year. It's also quite hard to get why FIFA World Cup: Brazil 2014 is sold as an entire game whilst it's more like a big DLC. Of course, all the official content make the game interesting as long as you take it for what it is: a fancy football game far from the demanding gameplay of FIFA 14.- JeuxActu

Wonderbook is one of the greatest Augmented Reality device of its generation. Creating immersion like you've never experienced before and using cleverly the PS Move, Book of Spells will entertain young players that love Harry Potter's adventures. However, quickly the gameplay shows its limits and appears to be too simple to amaze us more than an afternoon. But, we're still looking forward to the future Wonderbook title!- JeuxActu

Devil May Cry 4 in another game in a long list of remasters. Do you need it? Yes if you haven't played the original game, absolutely not if you have since the improvements are too few to matter.- JeuxActu

Marketed as a remake with its new graphics engine, Like a Dragon Ishin is actually just a remaster to which its cutscenes have been boosted. After the improved cutscenes, the game reveals its technical problems (rigid animations), bugs and imbalance. With a game released almost 10 years ago, it was inevitable. But the strength of Yakuza games is also its immersion, its many activities and its history which succeed in transporting the player to an exotic feudal Japan.- JeuxActu

For their tenth birthday, Ratchet and Clank are not making an incredible come-back. And yet, despite the lack of humor and graphics that are getting old, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault remains entertaining enough thanks to its interesting gameplay mechanics and its well-balanced difficulty. Multiplayer mode won't occupy players for the next ten years, but it will surely please them.- JeuxActu

We had placed a lot of hope in this Gotham Knights. The adventure was pleasant but too imperfect, interesting but not legendary enough; especially for a license around the Dark Knight, even without him in the title role. Too bad then. It is therefore high time for him to come back, and in the most beautiful way.- JeuxActu

Visually outdated when it came out, this remaster of Saints Row : The Third can't manage to bring the graphics to the modern era, and it's still filled with bugs, but if you like that kind of humor, the game is still fun.- JeuxActu

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale won't dethrone the Super Smash Bros. IP, but finally offers a great alternative, especially players looking for some crossover fighting games. The title proposes some good ideas such as its battle system mainly focused on combos. However, the fighting sequences lack the necessary dynamism.- JeuxActu

Warlords of New York is a welcome add-on to The Division 2, but it just feels like more of the same, which isn't surprising as the whole game already felt like a 1.5 version of the first opus. A worthy DLC, but not outlandish.- JeuxActu
