Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a nice muso that pulls all the right strings to seduce the fans of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you can forget about the lousy visuals and the repetitiveness of it all, you might enjoy the nice gameplay it offers.- JeuxActu

While the overhaul of the diplomatic system is a very welcome feature delivered by Rising Tide, the uselessness of the hybrid affinities, the tediousness of moving aquatic cities and the quite impressive price tag of the extension only restricts it to the most hardcore fans.- JeuxActu

Ubisoft has to be careful not to exploit the Far Cry franchise too much. New Dawn is an intermediate Far Cry, which will satisfy the fans waiting for the next major part, but it's nothing exceptional. Nice to play, but clearly not a must-have.- JeuxActu

Even if Concrete Genie offers nice arty visuals, and a good freedom in the murals we can paint, most of the other aspects are let downs, from the gameplay to the level design and the narrative.- JeuxActu

The Crew 2 still falls short of expectations in spite of the improvements made over the first iteration of the game. The open-world feels empty, the multiplayer features are useless as there is no PvP and the rest of the game feels way too generic to stand out from its competition. Forza Horizon is still a safer bet.- JeuxActu

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 feels more like a big update to the first game than a true sequel, and if the fights are worthy, the MMO side of things feels like a last minute add-on as the empty Cloud City shows.- JeuxActu

Get Even could have been a great game but it suffers from too many flaws to be able to really capitalize on it's strengths. It still offers a good narrative and amazing sound.- JeuxActu

On PS5 and Xbox Series X, FIFA 21 enjoys a healthy bump in graphical quality, with a Forstbite engine that's impressive as ever. But outside of this visual improvement, the game hasn't changed, and the same problems are still there.- JeuxActu

If you're a mainstream gamer, we have no reason to recommend Telltale's Game of Throne as it's far from being the best game of the studio. On the other hand if you're a fanatic of R.R. Martin's books you won't regret your purchase as it's better than the HBO series.- JeuxActu

Pokémon Pokopia is a bold spin-off that flips the usual Pokémon formula on its head. No battles, no duels, just a world to rebuild, habitats to create, and Pokémon to hang out with. The game really shines in its creative freedom: you can terraform, build, decorate, and even use Pokémon abilities to shape the world however you like. It’s cozy, easy-going, and instantly fun, especially if you’re creative or younger, and the first few hours are a real blast. The downside? It gets repetitive pretty quickly. The same mechanics repeat from island to island, quests and habitats feel predictable, and there’s not much challenge to keep things exciting. On paper, it’s a refreshing change of pace, but the slow rhythm and repeated tasks can bore players who like a bit more action or progression. For us, the first 10-12 hours were fun, but after that, the next 15 hours started to feel a bit samey.- JeuxActu

More a party game than a real sports game, Nintendo Switch Sports naturally follows in the footsteps of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Club. And it's true that we have fun, as long as we have a few friends at hand and a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. These two conditions are indeed necessary to have fun over the long term, because the absence of any scripted mode means that solo play has almost no interest.- JeuxActu

The Hong Kong Massacre is a somewhat generic top-down shooter game that's aimed at scoring, as the narrative is pretty bleak, while the action is very repetitive. The only defining feature are the bullet-t-ime and dives that the hero can perform.- JeuxActu

DOOM Eternal still feels great on the go in its Switch version, but of course, you'll have to be ready to make do with sub-par visuals. Thankfully, Panic Button defined the 30 fps framerate as a top priority, which guarantees a playable game at all times, even if the resolution has to dip very low at some times to keep the frames coming. It's blurry, but it's fast.- JeuxActu

Artistically, it is certain that Compulsion Games offers us its finest copy, with a game that constantly flirts with the beautiful and sometimes the sublime, all cradled by a soundtrack as captivating as it is enriching. But if the coating is more than successful, the gameplay proposition is much less so, since South of Midnight languishes in a rather staggering classicism. With its limited and repetitive gameplay loop, the structure of its levels that is far too linear and conventional, disappointing bosses and a bestiary of distressing poverty (there are 6 different enemies during the 15 hours of adventure), we realize that Compulsion Games has favored form over substance. Be careful, it is far from being catastrophic, but there is nothing exciting either, and it is all the more regrettable that certain mechanics, although conventional, manage to work at times. South of Midnight is clearly a game built for Game Pass: it plays well when it's part of the subscription.- JeuxActu

Let's be clear: Pokkén Tournament is not a compelling VS fighting game. There's too few characters, not enough content and the campaign mode is far too boring. But, it can be seen as a good surprise as it offers solid bases of fighting game, likely to attract veterans and newcomers.- JeuxActu

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a very good throwback to the early 90's when Street Fighter II was taking the world by storm. This version doesn't really improve the recipe, but this title remains a cornerstone for videogames.- JeuxActu

It's not a bad idea to bring some new stuff into the tactical genre. Above all, when it's done by such a talented studio that Intelligent Systems. However, gameplay here is far too irregular to be a new standard. As all their productions, Codename S.T.E.A.M. requires a high level of focus and anticipation to master the battlefield. But we can only regret the lack of attention towards writing, background and visuals.- JeuxActu

With Vader Immortal, ILMxLAB offers a nice VR experience that allow the player to really feel like the Dark Lord, with it's lightsaber and it's force powers. On the other hand it still feels like an experience more than a game, and is there fore very short, with a pricetag that seems a bit hefty.- JeuxActu

Outward is a true old-school RPG with feels as well-rounded as the best games from the past but also as dated, as the technical side of things isn't really up-to-date. If you can forget about the wrapping and focus on its internals, Outward is clearly worth a shot.- JeuxActu

Six years after the last LittleBigPlanet, the IP comes back as Sackboy A Big Adventure, but the game isn't as good as its legacy would lead us to believe. The DualSense isn't put to good use, and the game truly feels like a PS4 title. If you're looking for a platformer for a kid, it's still a good pick.- JeuxActu

While being full of good features and clever ideas, Elite Dangerous feels like its release has been rushed in order to get ahead of Star Citizen. The games lack player interactions and the happenings have very little impact on the gameplay, maybe the humongous 400 billion systems map should have been scaled to the numbers of players. A game that shows great potential, but has yet to achieve it.- JeuxActu

Certainly, DiRT Showdown is not the best racing game of 2012. However, Codemasters proves it knows how to develop a good one. If there's nothing bad to say regarding its content, choices in terms of gameplay can be questioned. indeed, some good ol' drivers could easily fall asleep whereas newcomers will enjoy the spectacular races DiRT Showdown has to offer, introducing a new social network, Racenet, to the multiplayer mode.- JeuxActu

As a DC Comics crossover game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is quiet fun to play like the previous title of the IP developed by TT Games. Even if the usual weaknesses remain, the title brings interesting features like full dialogues that offer a pleasant experience in the series, sometimes to the detriment of humor. Finally, the open-world universe lets players discover Gotham City, LEGO-style, despite some problems with camera positions and characters that happen to be stuck into walls.- JeuxActu

If the fact of constantly replaying the same type of online games in order to progress your characters does not scare you, then Evil Dead The Game will not disappoint you. The gameplay is solid, the references to the films of the saga are numerous, the graphics have nothing to be ashamed of, the demonic creatures and the soundtrack are very creepy, and the knockouts bring a good dose of gore.- JeuxActu

Casual players won't clearly be amazed by the graphics offered by Game of Thrones. As regards the RPG players, the ones that could spend entire nights playing, they will be happy to find intuitive game mechanics. The tactical aspects of fight sequences are also really enjoyable to learn and the players' choice are well-embedded in the story, faithful to the saga. This is what truly matters.- JeuxActu
