Rematch brings a bold twist to a genre that’s been playing it safe for too long, offering a fast, stylish, and skill-driven take on football. Its gameplay is both accessible and surprisingly deep, turning every match into a highlight reel. Still, technical hiccups, balancing issues, and missing features like crossplay and offline modes keep it from reaching its full potential. Sloclap has built something great, and with the right support, Rematch could grow into a true standout in the genre.

As good as the first episode, the game tries different roads and it goes forward with its mature, bloody, strong and maybe a bit too melodramatic take on procedural crime drama. Don't expect the kind of "choice and consequences" dynamics we experienced in Telltale Games, though.

With some more larger maps, more charismatic bosses and a lower price, Intercept would've deserved a higher rating, but as it stands this Killzone: Shadow Fall co-op DLC is just for die hard fans of the Guerrilla Games shooter. The changes made to the classical structure of the Horde mode are welcome, but beyond that there is not much to be satisfied here.

Demonschool is a game with a strong personality and a distinctive aesthetic, blending PS1-style pixel art with references to classic ’90s JRPGs and an atmosphere reminiscent of Italian horror cinema. However, the game’s ambition often works against it: the story is predictable, the cast is underdeveloped, and the constant humor rarely lands as intended. The combat system, despite some interesting ideas, becomes repetitive as the game progresses and lacks a real sense of progression or reward. Demonschool ultimately leaves the impression of unfulfilled potential, making it an interesting but never memorable experience.

Snake Pass is currently my personal surprise of 2017: a platformer-that's-not-really-a-platformer with strong puzzle elements and a pretty irresistible approach, built with passion and wit around an unconventional concept. Directive 8020 attempts to channel the claustrophobic paranoia of The Thing into deep space, but ultimately crashes under the weight of poor writing. Supermassive Games delivers a weak narrative lacking proper foundational context, populated by an unlikable and inconsistently written cast that makes it nearly impossible to care about their survival. The game's trademark branching choices are frustratingly executed, often resulting in illogical, delayed consequences without adequate narrative support. Coupled with an overreliance on tedious stealth sequences and surprisingly tame body horror, this sci-fi nightmare is a thoroughly missed opportunity.

The Dark Picture: Little Hope is a good step forward from the first chapter. The implementation of more responsive controls and greater clemency in QTE make the experience more correct and enjoyable, although in the end the game structure remains essentially the same. Despite the splashy story in a few too many clichés, the tension remains high, as does the involvement, thanks to a superb technical department. Unfortunately, the naivety of some narrative choice, the introspective smallness of almost all the characters and the longevity reduced to the bone do not let the title fly beyond the discreet.
