Lack of several DLCs can be overlooked, impossibility to buy the big Rise & Fall expansion less so, and the butchered multiplayer options are downright annoying. Still, this is a good port of a brilliant game which is a perfect fit for Nintendo Switch.

If the fifth Forza instalment was a compelling reason to buy a console a year ago, this year the baton has been passed to Forza Horizon 2.

The great expansion pack upgrading the original game in many things, it lengthens it out, and it brings both neat new missions and enhancements, making you to play it and finish it again.

However, a lack of motivation to reach the maximum score in every single level, and sections of levels that are often repeated are putting the game down.

Dragon's Dogma 2 revisits the strong merits of its 12-year-old predecessor, which still have plenty to offer - from the diversity of classes to enjoyable combat and an engaging world begging to be explored. The concept of sharing companions with players worldwide and their contribution to your experience is a unique concept, and combined with simulation elements, it creates a highly immersive adventure of which you are an integral part. It's a shame about the technical issues and dated graphics, but everything else more than makes up for it.

An outstanding action-packed ride with superb pacing and delightful gameplay. While it may occasionally torment, most of the time it simply captivates and fulfills. Above all, FromSoft has demonstrated its versatility with Armored Core VI, proving it a studio capable of transcending genre boundaries.

Octopath Traveler 2 doesn’t try to add new stuff just for the sake of it. It’s more of a refinement of the formula presented by the first installment. The strong narrative and the amazing gameplay make it a wonderful experience once more, especially when coupled with its beautiful graphics and sound design.

The Taken King expansion was given the daunting task of saving the game. We know it couldn’t be flawless and perfect. Within the limits set by the original game expansion excels and veterans will love the Oryx adventure mainly due to the imaginative end game content and interesting changes in the economy and loot. It didn’t change a fact that Destiny is not for everyone. If you already left the game long ago hilarious stories and better approach to newcomers won’t lure you back.

Simpler, faster and more accessible MOBA where someone actually thought about design beyond the point of “let's pimp up the 13-years-old fan mod”. Heroes of the Storm is not for everyone, but it will suit players who feel the genre is too complex, difficult and inaccessible. Blizzard actually succeeded in creating almost the exact opposite.

Properly remastered piece, while not so detailed as Windwaker remake, yet it satisfies you and show how great the Twilight Princess is. If you have not played it, you have to try with this remake, and even if you already played the original you should consider a replay. The unique atmosphere and great design overcome the errors from the original.

Once again, F1 manages to be just a bit better in all the key areas. And, for the first time, there’s a documentary movie-inspired career mode that takes you right into the Formula 1 backstage. Overall, I guarantee you’ll spend dozens of hours on those circuits.

Over a decade old SimCity 4 has finally found its challenger. He is young, nimble and not afraid to go into the ring in cheap shorts without a sponsor sticker. Even where the game stumbles, it is more functional than the recent attempt to restart once sovereign SimCity brand. Someone can say it’s a copycat of SimCity but they did a better job, so what.

Excellent simulation didn´t lose anything of its charm with the console conversion – it plays great with steady fps and offers hours and hours of sheer fun. Only a slight impersonality of singleplayer and not very functional link to the RaceNet network prevents a higher score.

Captivating action, wide shot and unprecedented user-friendliness. Shadowgun Legends is on its way to become the king of mobile shooters. However, on the way to the throne it is stopped a few stairs beneath it, because of its unimaginative design.

The father of all the metroid/vanias returned in a surprisingly powerful form after a long wait. Although the genre has shifted over the so many years, Metroid: Samus Returns has dealt with it bravely and has risen to the top.

The War Within is a very solid expansion that delivers the expected dose of new content alongside some welcome innovations. Most notably, the account-wide systems that enable seamless alt gameplay are a highly appreciated change. Delves are fun, and both raids and dungeons work well. While it's still early to fully assess everything, it’s clear that The War Within is worth recommending and playing.

Even though it could give a much better performance, it's still an outstanding JRPG for all the fans of the genre. It is a high-quality gaming title that will let you dream for nice long hours. You just have to forgive its bugs sometimes.

This Switch 2 upgrade is exactly what it appears to be: big, playful, imaginative, and somewhat unnecessary addition. The foundation of one of the best 2D Mario games remains extremely solid, and the new content adds interesting challenges, though somewhat puzzlingly focuses primarily on multiplayer.

A game of two halves. One of them is an amazingly detailed and well-told sci-fi story, the other a fun, strategic RPG. And as a whole it works perfectly.

A very stylish RPG from the masters at Obsidian is certainly not a disappointment, even though we’ve seen better from this very studio. The story is a weaker point, as are the dull fights, but I love the environment of the terraformed planets. This is a game to be savoured several times over.

A massive sequel with a combat system that’s richer and more fun, with a great protagonist, and with a wonderful galaxy to explore. The story could be better, there are some issues of a technical nature, but it’s beautiful, enjoyable to play – and it lets you build a lightsaber of your dreams.

Starfield is an unrivaled large and comprehensive space opera. Although it plays too much like Bethesda's previous games and the exploration of the planets is boring, it entertains with interesting stories and looks truly otherworldly.

Hotline Miami is proof that it is possible to create a fresh and addictive action game, even with the game's emphasis on retro. At the same time it evokes truly human feelings the modern-day shooters die trying to deliver.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is exactly the kind of return the legendary third installment deserves. Its visuals and attention to detail are breathtaking, from weather effects and mud clinging to your gear to the gradual wear on camouflage and scars on the protagonist’s body. Delta stands as the ultimate version of one of the greatest games ever made and the current pinnacle of stealth-action.

A well-crafted post-apocalyptic strategy that initially feels a bit clunky, but over time reveals its stronger aspects. Once it hits its stride, the odd menus and slow start become forgivable.

This new adventure with a new hero in an old environment hits all the right spots. The focus on Miles’ family was a correct choice, plus there’s the obvious benefits of the new console’s power - and you can even enjoy the game on the PlayStation 4 with very few compromises! It’s just a shame that it’s a bit short.

A different, but superb Forza title nonetheless. The game does not harm the series name; on the contrary, it expands on stiff racing circuits with a dense public traffic panorama. Even though it has its flaws and the game shows compromises in it, as their first attempt Playground Games own this specific sub-genre. However, no daydreaming to you Playground Games, you need to drive away from your competition, especially from your Turn 10 fellows.

Strategy game from the classic of the genre is not based on nostalgia, but on the flawless turn-based core around which better and better game is evolving even months after the release.

A fantastic pocket-sized turn-based strategy game that you can play almost endlessly thanks to its rich content. Wargroove 2 captivates with its beautiful design, new mechanics, and an excellent roguelite Conquest mode. While I might opt for more complex strategies on PC, it's definitely among the gems on Switch.

Technotopia is a minimalist city-building strategy game with a quirky visual style that successfully blends with the mechanics of Reigns series. Its gradually unfolding story keeps you engaged and can be completed in a single evening. The game surprises with a cleverly implemented roguelite system, occasionally frustrates with its reliance on randomness, and ultimately disappoints with the lack of any non-story mode. However, for its modest price, it offers an enjoyable few hours of entertainment.

User freedom, decent multiplayer and most of all an overwhelming feeling of supersport car control. Thanks to its qualities Assetto Corsa is a wonderful gift for all of the virtual steering wheel masters.

An unforgiving action RPG that carefully expands upon the foundations laid by the first installment. The combat system is absolutely fantastic, but the RPG layers are perhaps too intricate for their own good.

Valkyria Chronicles game is a tactical and story-oriented RPG in Japanese style, which features a unique combat system, beautiful visuals and also some annoying problems with controls. But you definitely won’t be wrong if you give the game a chance.

Nioh 3 is not without flaws: It could be more expansive, offer a wider variety of weapons, and feature a more diverse bestiary. Even so, it stands as the most entertaining soulslike since Elden Ring. The ability to switch between samurai and ninja adds new depth to combat, while the option to tailor a fighting style to personal preference works exceptionally well. The thoughtfully designed open world encourages exploration without compromising the game’s tough but fair difficulty. For fans of the series and the genre alike, it represents a clear high point of the trilogy.

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us is fantastic (it's a fairy tale), and also fantastic (it's wonderful). It's going to please not only the fans of The Walking Dead from the last year, but also those, who favors a quality writing as well as charismatic characters.

Another year, another few steps in the right direction - but very tiny steps indeed. The promised match engine upgrade doesn’t add up to much and the rest of the innovations will be appreciated only by the most faithful and experienced football coaches.

A DLC surprise for Battlefield 3. The Iranian environment devastated by an earthquake has created an excellent map pack along with an entertaining new mode and a nicely inventive crossbow. This DLC proves that Battlefield 3 has still things to offer, it is not depleted yet.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for the Switch 2 is a technically impressive port that delivers the full experience in a portable form without major compromises. Despite a few weaker spots in visuals and battery life, it offers a surprisingly smooth and visually striking ride. Thanks to smart adjustments, it plays excellently even in handheld mode. And at its core, it’s still one of the best RPGs of recent years, now simply available to take with you anywhere.

If you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, this is one of the best takes on the classic Zelda formula, a combination of fun combat, beautiful graphics and many, many secrets. Prepare to be charmed!

The second part has simply everything, and if you like the FPS and grinding, then there's every reason for Destiny 2 to become your game of fate.

An absolutely fantastic RPG platformer that is old-fashioned in the one thing only - it won't give you anything for free, and it keeps you gaming till your death. This is not for the one-hit wonderers. There are few of this kind of games, of this kind of fun. Rogue Legacy is a fantasy miracle made of pixels.

Another year's volume, another Football Manager, another hundreds of hours of the virtual football game throughout the mouse-clicking. There are no strong novelties this year. It's more about cosmetic changes and debugging the two main game modes. For fans of the series this is a traditional must. For the others this is a chance to hop into the long-established series of intoxicating football madness with improved Classic mode.

Echo Point Nova lets you play by your own rules in its open world. It surprises with an excellent sound design, fluid movement, enjoyable gunplay, and how seamlessly all these elements come together without wasting your time. It never loses momentum and entertains like few other shooters, thanks to the combination of seemingly disparate features that create a unique and engaging mix.

Brave New World brings a lot of new content along with new mechanics that do not, however, change or improve its gameplay. All's just chewed up. It's the same thing as with some immobile wrack, out of which you would try to make a movable cool car by just changing its transmission, respraying it with bee stripes, or by connecting a trailer to it. It just won't do. BNW is no BMW, even though it's not entirely its fault.

Europa Universalis V has a bright future ahead and the potential to become the ruler of grand strategy games. Its complexity serves as both its greatest challenge and its strongest asset. It’s unlikely to win over newcomers to the genre, but devoted map painters will undoubtedly fall in love with it. This is Paradox Interactive’s most ambitious project to date, and if the studio maintains its long-term support, it will stand without equal.

Ratchet & Clank is an good example how to approach the older games. The creators took the basics, added the elements from newer games wrap it into the advanced visuals, and they deliver a truly great entertainment.

A game aimed solely at children and their parents, nothing more and nothing less. A bit of good fun if you’re feeling playful but not nearly as impressive as other Nintendo masterpieces of this era.

Antihero is pretending to be a board game, but it has nothing to offer to board game players. It's flat, scared of depth and gives no room for your own ideas in never-changing battles. You can find a lot of better digital board games on the market. But if you are not interested in table games and you are looking for something slightly different, Antihero has it.

At its core, it's still absolutely amazing, now a bit more beautiful and smoother game.

This temporally unique game adds something new with your every death and moves the story forward beautifully. The environments are breathtaking, the music will soothe you. This is the perfect game for those of you who are, above all, curious.

StarCraft: Remastered admittedly targets to esport. While for professional players it is almost perfect, for ordinary people it is a half-baked remaster of once great game, which is not so good to play today.

A successful metroidvania that, while not bringing any particular innovations to the genre, is a well-executed piece of work, providing an enjoyable gameplay loop. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, above all, does not disgrace the famous name that has long lived only in memories.

The enhanced edition of the glamorous gaming classic invokes mixed feelings. It brings a more modern look and greater users comfort, but some changes don't fully improve the game. Additionally, the enhanced version offers an original content without any changes, which is a warning to all original game owners who were looking forward to new experiences.

Papers, Please is a unique passport stamping simulation game. It becomes surprisingly entertaining because of its gameplay variability and its unusual commentary about an individual working for a totalitarian regime. Bravo.

New Doom does not actually bring anything new and its greatest asset is a confessed retro gameplay. Fortunately, this works well, thanks to a combination of rapid movement, excellent shooting and good old brutality.

This MMORPG is of excellent quality. It has its flaws indeed, however, none of its key features is poor or faulty. On the contrary: the game is based on things that are working perfectly. An exceptionality of the game is underlined by its "campaign" mode that may easily be a substitute for a classic single player game.

An excellent demonstration of making and reviving the genre of tactical turn-based strategies with lots of little innovations and ideas. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is funny, nice and playful game that should not be missed by any Switch owner.

Crash Bandicoot once again proves that the platformer genre isn’t dead yet. The featherbrained atmosphere is exactly what one needs during these testing times, even though you’ll sometimes be left frustrated by the uncompromising difficulty.

Mysteria Ecclesiae serves as a dignified final chapter to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It offers a tightly focused story about faith and guilt that draws the player in and holds attention until the very end. The Sedlec Monastery captivates with its atmosphere and perfectly complements the melancholic tone of Jindřich’s farewell. Mysteria Ecclesiae does not strive for grandeur, but for beauty in the details, and in that, it truly succeeds.

This is not the most creative title. However, the amount of gameplay is so insane you will enjoy this ride by Volition mad men for a god damn long time. And maybe, a few months later, you will still remember your walk in a city with a helmet of the Imperial Army.
