Anno 117: Pax Romana sends the city-building series into the Roman era with elegance, meticulous attention to detail, and stunning audiovisual design. The captivating rhythm of construction is only occasionally disrupted by technical issues and overly aggressive AI. Even so, it stands as a worthy successor – one that makes it easy to lose track of time.

At first glance, this is "only" some Assassin's Creed game from the Lord of the Rings world. When you look at it again you see an immersive action RPG relying on fun and fancy combats that are plentiful here. Tolkien is still waiting for that proverbial game that would find them and in the darkness bind them, however, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is close to it.

Excellent adventure with a fast-paced fighting system and sophisticated RPG elements could be compared to the “Souls-series” games thanks to its difficulty setting and some mechanics. However, it is so imaginative and visually successful, that it’s definitely not a rip-off. On the contrary it has the potential to create its own group of fans who will be discovering the secrets of the game for several more months.

The most extensive installment of the entire game series brings a spectacular adventure filled with land and sea battles. It's great to look at it and the traditional sandbox is just fine' however, this third volume's many very important qualities of the entire game series along with its game system have been lost without the new features making up for it. The less, the better, and look before you leap should have been the proverbs of the day. Assassin's Creed III is undoubtedly a very good game, but I cannot shake off the feeling it could have been much much better.

Suppose you have killed off all the demons, and completed the almost educational path through the Moscow underground. Maybe. A careful evolution of Two Point Hospital, not much more than that. Still, the ageless tycoon genre doesn’t really need that many innovations to work properly so Two Point Campus remains a very good game.

After all, a funny and original multiplayer shooter that kept the good from its predecessor, improved some not-so-good mechanics and served a great menu. However, creators made some minor mistakes and several half-way decisions, but as a whole it is a noticeably better product.

A shooter that doesn’t reinvent R’lyeh. Forgive Me Father 2 captivates with relentless action, fantastic visuals, a top-tier metal soundtrack, and wonderfully old-school gameplay. It occasionally gets tangled in level design and its own story, but overall, it’s an awesome, fast-paced boomer shooter perfect for letting off steam.

MIO: Memories in Orbit is an outstanding metroidvania that easily stands alongside genre giants like Ori and the Blind Forest and Hollow Knight. Its watercolor visuals and captivating, vibrant world full of hazards and secrets kept me glued to the screen for dozens of hours without a single dull moment. The only minor drawback lies in the less engaging classic combat encounters during exploration, though this can be somewhat mitigated through settings.

A charming adventure with a cat hero and a mysterious story. It’s a real joy to explore the dilapidated concrete city, even if the game is, at its core, quite simple. At least it doesn’t ever repeat itself, though.

World of Goo 2 takes the best elements of the legendary original and enriches them with a heap of fantastic new ideas. The sheer number of unique puzzles built around the seemingly simple concept of constructing physics-based structures from quirky goo balls is breathtaking, consistently pushing players to think outside the box and discover creative solutions. It's still a refreshingly inventive puzzle game—but at least on PC, it suffers from very problematic controls that can lead to considerable frustration.

You stick your nose under your first sod and there you are – in another world. Terraria is not much of a Minecraft 2D rip-off, it's an addictive pursuit of perfection that entertains; even though it stinks of a sweat from the adits.

A fantastic remake of a great strategy game where the gods themselves settle the score. Age of Mythology: Retold looks amazing, introduces plenty of new features that make the game more enjoyable than ever, and most importantly, proves that some games truly never age.
