The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild and marks some pluses like changes to Link's new abilities and the large-scale open world. The game has many playable possibilities with the combination of our powers in which the sky is the limit. However, it is more of the same with a different name and the graphic section is not that great.

Capcom does it again. Resident Evil 4 is the best example of how to reimagine a game that has been with us for a long time. This Remake makes the gameplay feel fresh, intuitive and fun. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth expands the 2020 game by taking this second installment to new playable horizons and the individual stories of each character are more developed. The open world makes a difference from the usual as it is full of activities to do and secrets. If it weren't for the medieval environment and the fact that it goes by another name, Metaphor: ReFantazio could easily be called Persona 6, and it would still be a fantastic JRPG of the type that only Atlus can deliver. This game is very enjoyable, with a political plot, an impressive artistic section, new gameplay elements, particularly in combat, and so-called Archetypes. All this makes this game a memorable proposition.

Although Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stands out for its artistic direction and dynamic turn-based combat, it doesn't fully convince me. Maybe I've become more demanding, but it feels like the game is always trying to give me the upper hand. The gameplay mechanics are already familiar and feel more like an update than an innovation. It needs some polishing in certain areas—maybe then I'll give it another chance.

DOOM: The Dark Ages reinvents the classic FPS with a medieval twist that shifts the pace without losing the franchise’s brutal essence. While its gameplay demands some adjustment and the visuals aren't particularly impressive compared to previous entries, it runs smoothly on PC and its narrative piques curiosity. It’s a bold gamble that, without breaking the legacy, deliberately strays from the traditional formula.

This remake stays very faithful (perhaps too faithful) to the original work, preserving both the story it’s known for and its core gameplay. However, it features noticeable graphical improvements, a new over-the-shoulder control scheme, enhancements to the camouflage system, and refined stealth mechanics. While it doesn’t introduce major changes, it still stands as an essential title.

Return to Monkey Island is a love letter to fans of the franchise. The game makes us enjoy fun situations and at the same time makes us solve puzzles without any hint. The style is a bit different and many fans of the game will not like it at the beginning but it deserves the opportunity.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a sure candidate for GOTY because of how great it is. It's hard not to get hooked on its story or fall in love with its artistic direction, it makes us empathize with the characters and their experiences. Every player should give it a chance, even the first game.

The JRPG Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is brought to modern consoles so that those fans who are so fond of it can enjoy it. It is a game that has a sometimes tragic story but that keeps the player watching. It is very replayable due to the various endings it has. As a port, my complaint is that hardly any improvements are implemented.

Live A Live is a unique JRPG that jumps to consoles with some huge improvements. 8 stories to live, 8 different gameplays although with the same bases and 8 different time settings, are the proposal of this title that was once lost in time. Those who wanted to try it and don't have a Switch can do so.

Final Fantasy XVI on PC comes with many improvements compared to the original version. However, this performance issue makes the experience disappointing, especially for those who do not know how to manually adjust the graphic settings. DLSS is useless because it's hard to achieve a stable 60 FPS. The original game is really good, but the experience on PC change your mind. Playing with a mouse and keyboard can be a challenge during the first few hours.

The new class and activities boost the experience by making room to play them with friends. Despite it could have been better, the visual work far exceeded expectations.
