Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a charming game, with fantastic pixel art but a too simplisitc and weak Metroidvania, as it doesn't have much to offer to adventurers and feels too much of a very linear rip-off of Castlevania Symphony of the Night that lacks depth and true epic feel.- Gameblog.fr

In the end, Neurodeck is not a bad game. Those who would occasionally start a new session might enjoy their time, as it relies on a refreshing concept and fine visuals. In the long run though, the gameplay mechanics really lack of depth and the difficult topics of the game, such as toxic masculinity or post-partum depression, reveal to be approached in a too vague way.- Gameblog.fr

Despite the repetitiveness inherent to the genre, the player is constantly hooked by the depth of the game, filled with subtleties and hidden features. The launch version of Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch is hardly convincing. Panic Button showed it was up to the task of porting this highly demanding game on the console, but at the cost of losing a major part of what makes the game both enjoyable and competitive. Five years after the critically acclaimed The Climb, it's finally time to go back on a rock-climbing game. Bravely Default II couldn't be through with the past, as shown by the JRPG's traditional elements which inevitably, if not deliberately arouse nostalgia. While its wider, undulating world invites exploration, this episode seriously lays everything down, from the decidedly abrupt narrative to the extremely demanding strategical battles, exploiting the risk rewarding system and jobs' combination skills at full extent. Such kinds of class, whether wisely revised or exquisitely original, are worth it. Hence Tomoya Asano signs a deeply moving fairy tale intended for the genre's erudites, a beautiful proof of bravery.- Gameblog.fr

In many ways, Little Nightmares 2 is better than the first installment of the series. Throughout the six hours needed to beat the game, the player finds himself embarked on a whirlwind of opposite emotions, both terrified and blown away by the atmosphere that emerges from the setting, magnified by clever camera work, and by the general pace of the game. Don't even think about playing Cyberpunk 2077 on base PS4, its performance is awful. Of course, no one can expect a game to run like it does on a good PC, where it is a stellar experience. But what we feel is that this version was abandoned, no effort was put in it. Blurry, not very smooth, suffering from NPC that just pop or have no faces for a couple of seconds. It also feels very empty, which obliterates its positive qualities. Not to mention myriad glitches and hiccups that are probably less evident on PS4 Pro or PS5, but which make us say that you need a computer or, if everything goes well, wait for the Next-Gen versions if you want to have a real taste of Cyberpunk 2077.- Gameblog.fr

Cyberpunk 2077 is a new masterpiece from CD Projekt RED, a huge, dense, vibrant, colorfoul and dark Sci-Fi RPG that any fan of the genre should step in. As the Yakuza franchise is still trying to become a household franchise in the West, the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio decided to flip the switch and create a turn-based RPG. The result of that experiment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, is a resounding success. The "dynamic RPG" gameplay fits the Yakuza universe and tropes like a glove and its mechanics are surprisingly deep. As expected, ScourgeBringer is a well-balanced and dynamic Rogue-lite. Thanks to a fast-paced action and a complete set of moves, Kyhra's adventure through this sometime repetitive but nervous environment makes us want to go for another run almost every time.- Gameblog.fr

Amnesia: Rebirth is, despite its name, a new episode into the saga. We follow Tasie, lost in the desert after a crash plane, looking for the other survivors and it's a true pleasure to live its story, very well written, even if some gameplay mechanics feel quite outdated.- Gameblog.fr

Ricky Haggett's I Am Dead offers a nice walk on a fictional island through the eyes of the recently deceased Morris Lupton, hoping to find a new Keeper to prevent a volcan's eruption. With it's dog Sparky and a clever mechanic of zooming into almost every item, house or people you can see, I Am Dead is a short but relaxing puzzle-adventure. We simply hoped the extra challenge was more rewarding.- Gameblog.fr

Reconnecting with feelings that have gone out of fashion, Art of Rally is a welcome entertainment at a time games are more and more complex and dense. Just like kart racing, it offers quick handling and good sensations. Without second thoughts, we drive and we learn to adapt to the different cars it offers. In addition, it is perfect for small PC configurations.- Gameblog.fr

Did Milestone want to release his Ride 4 absolutely before the end of the year in order to finish the PS4 / Xbox One cycle? No one will probably have the answer in the near future. Still, if the game is improving well on technical aspects (graphics, modeling and AI) it has lost all the mood that its previous opus had managed to generate. It is now a game of motorcycles on circuits that merges into the category.- Gameblog.fr

Windbound is a survival game with rogue lite components. If the game has good ideas and design, the controls lacks of ergonomy, and the game is quite repetitive.- Gameblog.fr

FIFA 21 is not bad but it does not innovate at all the recipe initiated by FIFA 20. Very focused on the attack, the defense suffers from a significant imbalance, leaving the open door to matches filled with goals. It is a transitional opus, leaving known bases so as not to upset the players and thus draw great novelties for FIFA 22.- Gameblog.fr

We thought that Crash Bnadicoot would never be the same iconic character he once was: we were wrong. This fourth episode brings back every foundation of the series, twisting it with the brand new quantum masks mechanics, to deliver a strong, rich, colorful and demanding entry to the series. Rooted in the late 90's, Crash just need to discard its old precision issues to compete with the big ones of the beloved platform genre.- Gameblog.fr

Despite its lack of epicness, Star Wars Squadrons is a pleasant surprise. Whether you're a Star Wars fan or not, you have a good chance to enjoy what this Space Opera game has to offer, which is a great achievement for Motive Studios.- Gameblog.fr

The Walking Dead Onslaught is definitely not as good as Saints & Sinners. This VR experience, taking place in the TV show's universe feels outdated, characters share the same moves, story is not that interesting, the whole game is too easy and repetitive. Rick, Daryl, Michonne, Carol cannot save it, sadly.- Gameblog.fr

Especially if you know and love the original game, Mafia Definitive Edition is pure joy. We follow the adventures of Tommy Angelo like we would follow those of a character of a good move form Coppola. Beyond nostalgia, we take part in a wonderful gangster story. Despite every issue the game suffers at the moment (random freezes, crashes...) and some terrible optimizations on PC and PS4, it's still a captivating game, but it's hard to ignore its flaws.- Gameblog.fr

WRC 9 feels more like a big update than a deep evolution of the series. It is a little and already a lot because the game has sufficient quality to justify its purchase. As long as you are already a fan of the discipline. Either way you don't really have a choice if you want to drive in a virtual WRC championship.- Gameblog.fr

Tennis World Tour 2 may look like a simple update, but proves to be a really deep overhaul, both from a qualitative and quantitative point of view. That translates into a much punchier feel with a more authentic rendering overall, thanks to a subtle management of timing and faults. While some lingering assistance still generates imprecision, filling such loopholes surely belongs to Big Ant's work. The Australian studio thus shaped the best tennis simulation on current consoles at least, because of far more experienced competitors on PC. Hence Nacon can develop legitimate eSports ambitions, as long as it stands away from balance or greedy issues through an artificial cards system for instance.- Gameblog.fr

Hades is a fantastic Rogue-lite that offers some terrific action, strond design, beautiful narrative, unforgettable characters and, needless to say, tremendous visuals and soundtrack. Even players who are or became allergic to its genre should try it, as it has probably no Achille's Heel and is, for sure, the most accomplished Supergiant Games experience to date.- Gameblog.fr

Super Mario 64 keeps its whole interest from historic and nostalgic points of view, a revolutionary approach that Super Mario Sunshine spreads in every sense of the word, while Super Mario Galaxy takes off literally outer space, among the brightest three dimensional platformers. Such true ports preserve these masterpieces' authenticity, but the Super Mario 3D All-Stars title suggested more, both in content and style. Brilliant HD renditions with fully available soundtracks on the go don't shine enough to overshadow some old issues and Super Mario Galaxy 2's glaring omission from this otherwise stellar collection.- Gameblog.fr

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim dives us into a complex story, mixing heroes, periods of time and themes to deliver a love letter to Japanese science fiction. Curiously, the game is strictly divided between phases, switching from narrative story-driven thumbnails to minimalist strategy fights, delivering a strange but satisfying experience for every Japan lover and 2D aesthete.- Gameblog.fr

NBA 2K21 gives us the same observation as that established a year earlier with NBA 2K20: that of stagnating within the saga, without any real major improvement. But this time, the few bets attempted by the development studio have the main consequence of serving the game, at least in its first approaches and making it even a little less accessible to the general public. A quality episode certainly, despite its flaws, but not up to expectations. We could expect better for a transition to the new generation of consoles.- Gameblog.fr
