Ultimately, the new Piccolo Studio game, after the excellent Arise: A Simple Story, is another little gem that could delight fans of platform adventures, especially if sensitive to the passionate environmental message that the title tries to convey for the approximately 6/7 hours necessary to complete it. While generally solid, the gameplay shows its side to some critical issues, especially in the combat phases, but the breathtaking artistic direction alone is reason enough to embark on this bittersweet epic.

Artistically delightful and with a soundtrack signed by Takeshi Furukawa, Planet of Lana confirms itself as a narrative-driven adventure of excellent quality. The symbiotic relationship between little Lana and the tender Mui represents the fulcrum around which the authors of Wishfully build gameplay with puzzle and stealth elements. The result is a splendid journey of about six hours, which with a little more creativity could have reached even higher peaks.

We had a lot of fun playing LEGO 2K Drive. It is an interesting experiment, with a lot of potential, but also with some limitations. The light-hearted tone and the not exactly prohibitive level of challenge make it a title suitable for all ages and ideal for playing in company (also given the support for local multiplayer). The vehicle editor is the real extra gear of an imperfect and at times chaotic production, but full of style, which manages to position itself more than dignifiedly in a slice of the market where competition is ruthless.

With Honkai Star Rail, Hoyoverse has shown that its luck is not simple and that the success of its productions is due to the ability of the teams to create experiences that are open to all, able to involve thanks to well-characterized characters and gameplay that keeps glued to the screen. Despite the unoriginal plot and maps with a very rigid structure, the free to play from the creators of Genshin Impact boasts a turn-based combat system that proved to be spot on and some endgame modes that convinced us. It is therefore an excellent starting point that we hope will be supported consistently through the publication of events, characters and missions that keep users interested in the long term.

Net of some imperfections, Hunt the Night is a product that manages to entertain for its entire duration and beyond, given the presence of extra modes that offer bread for the teeth of fans of soulslike and the like. The simple and fast combat system, the well-studied puzzles and the goodness of the boss fights make the work signed by Moonlight Games an event not to be missed for fans of the genre, both on Nintendo Switch and on PC.

One of the best adventure games ever made. A playful and artistic titan, who gulps down the hours in a single bite, in a sumptuous banquet of possibilities, creativity, imagination. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may not have the disruptive impact that Breath of the Wild had because it grows from its roots, given the direct sequel nature. However, it bears new fruit. He possesses - and it is a great conquest - the courage to implement another type of revolution, enlarging, refining and ennobling every virtue of his predecessor. The legacy of the first Link epic on Nintendo Switch is still felt, both for better and for worse. With the legacy of a glorious past, Tears of the Kingdom builds a magnificent present, and opens wide the horizons for the future of the series. In fact, it has the power to stay connected to memory. Like a memory. Beyond the time.

Peridot is a very different title from other Niantic-branded productions. Without the competition offered by Ingress, the capture and above all the collectible aspect that allowed Pokémon GO to marry such an experience perfectly, the new mobile game of the Californian company presents itself at the moment as a rather meager and limiting Tamagotchi, seen that its main - not to say only - objective involves a substantial outlay of real money. If we add to this the numerous bugs and technological malfunctions found during our tests, without underestimating the exaggerated energy expenditure imposed on the batteries of mobile devices, we struggle to imagine a prosperous future for Niantic's albeit very sweet Peridots.

In conclusion, Darkest Dungeon II has taken a different path than its predecessor but its hardcore soul is intact and clearly visible. It is a ruthless, violent roguelite and embellished with a combat system of rare complexity which, after a few hours of experience and attempts, shows an incredible depth. Net of some problems mainly related to the excessive randomness of some mechanics, we are talking about a title that should not be missing in the luggage of any fan of the genre.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed is the answer to fans' dreams, as well as a solid bridge that inextricably links the first two numbered chapters of the franchise to the third. Indeed, to be completely precise, Tetsuya Takahashi has seized the opportunity to bring order to the continuity of "Xeno" and establish once and for all what is or is not part of it. Whether it's the end of the long narrative arc that began on Wii way back in 2010 or just the beginning of a new (Xeno) saga, Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed is undoubtedly an obligatory stop for any fan of the brand, who after years of doubts and speculations will find more or less all the coveted answers. A passionate love letter that we had hoped to read last year and which despite the delay has finally reached our homes.

Although not without flaws, Afterimage manages to stand out in the panorama of 2D adventures in metroidvania sauce, thanks to its wonderful backdrops, good level design and playful structure. Augoron Shanghai's efforts to make the journey interesting from start to finish are evident, and we believe that fans of intricate stories, labyrinthine maps and important boss fights should not miss the opportunity to step into the shoes of young Renee.

Redfall would have needed a more extensive development cycle, and a pinch of courage in building the structure. It is an imperfect product, but one that knows how to entertain when one finds oneself burying vampires in the company of friends, also given the presence of protagonists with unique abilities and an arsenal equipped with various types of death tools. For these reasons, Game Pass subscribers looking for a few hours of co-op leisure could give it a chance, but keeping one thing in mind: we are not at all facing the next evolutionary step of Arkane-branded productions.

Ultimately, our encounter with The Last Case of Benedict Fox gave us mixed feelings. On the one hand we find an interesting plot, embellished with some tasty twists and framed by an extremely fascinating setting. On the other side of the fence, however, we find an approximate technical realization and a general lack of refinement in the gameplay, defects that end up compromising the overall enjoyment of the work. The new Plot Twist project has been part of the Game Pass catalog since day one: for this reason we still feel like recommending it, at least to a certain extent, to fans of the genre who subscribe to the service. To all the others, however, despite the title being offered at a budget price, we suggest waiting for any patches that can at least solve the most obvious problems. In its properly finished form, The Last Case of Benedict Fox could in fact aspire to much higher qualitative peaks.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel worthy of the name. Respawn has expanded and improved everything that he had convinced us of his predecessor, starting with a well-written story and not without significant twists near the end credits. As far as the playful mix is concerned, Cal Kestis' new journey has proved to be an excellent action adventure, with a rich and layered combat system and a truly satisfying exploratory component. Net of an underdeveloped bestiary and some oscillations in the field of animations, the Force flows powerfully in this space odyssey by EA, which also offers a show on the visual front.

The Mageseeker is a concentrate of speed and action, penalized only by a monotony of the stages and a scarce variety of contents offered in the exploration. Thankfully, the very deep and properly layered battle system manages to counter this issue. In the 15 hours needed to finish the adventure, The Mageseeker will certainly not encourage replayability or backtracking, but will be able to put your skills to the test even in secondary missions. In short, the sum of the parts makes this League of Legends spin-off worthy of being played even by those who are not a strict connoisseur of the Riot universe.

Another Fisherman's Tale proved to be a sequel that lived up to expectations. The duration of the adventure finally does justice to the production value, while the new mechanics based on the ability to manipulate the protagonist's body guarantee a fresh and original approach to solving puzzles. Net of some flaws in the control system, we appreciated the greater physical involvement required of the player during the experience. The narrative sector pushes us to want to know more about Bob and his daughter Nina, accompanied by a narrative voice that skilfully mixes lightness and poetry.

Stray Blade finds its ideal dimension among soulslikes for novices. The learning curve of the satisfying perfect parry and dodge mechanics isn't very steep and one way or another, escaping if necessary, you get to the credits in fifteen hours or so. The lore of the articulated world of Acrea is fascinating, the artistic direction that tells it panorama after panorama even more. Too bad that the fight animations are not the basis of an equally physical and engaging gameplay, which after a few hours begins to repeat itself in a very unattractive loop. If you are looking for a colorful and cartoonish action adventure, which soulslike only has the basic setting, however, you will not be disappointed. But don't expect anything else.

Not all titles have aged the same, and some games have received more attention than others. Wanting to summarize the speech in numerical format, no remastering work in the collection, in our opinion, should obtain a rating lower than 8. However, the highest peaks, such as Final Fantasy IV and VI, undoubtedly deserve a vote closer to 9. This is why we believe that the number you see at the bottom of the article is a fair point of reference for evaluating the entire compilation.

More vast than dense, Burning Shores is the Horizon Forbidden West DLC that it was reasonable to expect. Using Los Angeles as a stage, Guerrilla follows the rules of Hollywood spectacularization and pushes on the pedal of visual exaltation. There is a moment (totally optional) in which you will get lost in a stormy cloud, a prelude to another battle, and where you will breathe an air of profound epicness. And it is thanks to these junctures of considerable scenic and playful commitment that the team's intentions are understood: to push the heights of the Decima Engine even higher and pack an expansion that was satisfying at the right point, before the third act of the epic of Aloy. The one in which the fate of the world will be decided, perhaps once and for all.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp brings back to life a series that made the history of the genre and which the most loyal players missed. The title brings together the first two chapters of the saga, offering two pleasant campaigns and other modes that help increase the longevity of the experience, especially thanks to the online multiplayer component that opens the door to competitive challenge. Net of its light-hearted tones, we are talking about a package with layered gameplay and characterized by a large number of variables, with what it takes to satisfy even the most expert users. Due to the IP on which it is based, Mighty Doom could attract loyal fans for some hit and run sessions, even capable of genuinely entertaining. As sometimes happens in the mobile dimension, however, at a certain point in the Slayer's death campaign, production limits also begin to emerge, linked to the low drop rate of equipment and excessive randomness in the generation of perks, which we remember to be very important for continuing the journey.

With Minecraft Legends, Mojang has hit the bull's-eye again. The attempt to overturn a usually complex genre to make it perfectly accessible to gamers of all ages has been successful, without however renouncing a layered gameplay, capable of giving satisfaction even to those who want to invest time in online modes. Of course, we would have liked some more content at launch and a greater variety in terms of both the single player and online components, but we are confident in post-launch support, usually one of the studio's flagships.

Capcom aims to make a new generation of players appreciate the work done by Inafune two decades ago. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection proposes a dozen well-maintained titles embellished by an online sector, a mode that makes the fights less harsh and a couple of goodies (patch cards, for example) that veterans of the Game Boy Advance/ Nintendo DS will appreciate. Someone will complain about the lack of some famous spin-offs, but the package offered puts more than 200 hours of gameplay on the plate (to really complete everything you will have to invest twice as much). In short, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is an unmissable opportunity to rediscover/recover one of the most underrated Game Boy Advance series. EA Sports returns to the virtual links in a big way, with a PGA Tour with a pleasant visual impact. Unfortunately, EA Tiburon's simulation isn't perfect: despite a refined game physics, the control system is still a bit immature (a three-click version is about to arrive), the customization of your alter-ego can still be improved and some choice of game design appears questionable, think for example of the lack of tutorial. The thirty routes proposed are welcome, while the roster lacks an icon like Tiger Woods, although the offer of the package remains satisfactory overall.

The cosmic deity imagined by H.P. Lovecraft remains immersed in his eternal sleep, because in the interesting video game concocted by Frogwares it is above all the influence of Arthur Conan Doyle that drives a narrative made up of investigations and common crimes, while the horrors of the astral planes remain hidden and can only be touched in short bursts. The plot of the work - which we remember to have been packaged in a very difficult context for its creators - maintains a good rhythm which leads us to overlook the excessive pathos of some exchanges and, although it does not propose anything original within the vast panorama dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, entertains for the approximately seven hours necessary to complete the adventure.

Helvetii is an action roguelike that doesn't feature any vaguely original ideas. Characterized by a below average longevity, it must however be recognized that the product partially compensates for its shortcomings with a high challenge rate and an artistic system that gives a nod to the sensational Vanillaware productions, without however fully equaling its visual rendering.

Except for the fascinating artistic component, which starting from that distant 2007 would become Vanillaware's trademark, GrimGrimoire OnceMore is an imperfect product and not quite worthy of the fame that the Japanese developer enjoys today, also because the reissue has retained most of the defects found in the original. However, since this is one of his very first works, we recommend its recovery not so much for RTS enthusiasts, who may find it too short and shallow, but for fans of George Kamitani and his incredible team of artists.

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog has many merits, above all the ability to once again decline the character of Sonic in another genre. By giving the right depth to each member of the cast, SEGA continues its worthy commitment to provide more layering to its universe. However, while the solution to the mystery is quite simple, the interlude minigame ends up - in the final stages - also being quite frustrating. In short, net of the short duration, the work appears a bit unbalanced in its playful components. In any case, it's about dedicating 2 hours to an excellent SEGA experiment, totally free, to spend an evening of fun with Sonic. It will be worth it.

Prequel to Road 96 and - at the same time - spiritual successor to Lost in Harmony, the new DigixArt title contains a multifaceted experience, in the name of hybrid gameplay and a story yet to be written. The system of moral choices and the racing phases inherited from the 2016 title manage to give shape to an engaging story and to transmit important messages on sensitive issues. On the other hand, it is clear how the desire to create a work of limited size has sometimes made the narration too frenetic and the races on the track too hasty. In short, we would have liked to see something more, but net of this Road 96: Mile 0 is confirmed as a good prequel, appreciable both by those who have played its sequel and by newcomers.
