Oddworld: Soulstorm is an adventure platform of yesteryear, which manages to modernize its playful formula only at times, with the addition of some guessed tricks aimed at perfecting the framework of Abe's Exoddus. Not everything flows with the right fluidity, and the consistent difficulty of the game is aggravated by unfortunate game design choices: yet, when it works, the work of Oddworld Inhabitants manages to guarantee a good dose of satisfaction, thanks to a substantial amount of content and of Abe's immortal grotesque charm.

The new version of the game brings a load of content designed specifically for fans of the Koei Tecmo crossover universe, those who will benefit most from this "update". On the other hand, the experience remains what it was in the beginning: a reckless action, naturally prone to a monotonous gait, but overall better than other congeners and in its own way galvanizing, if taken in small doses.

Bomberman Blitz is the Bomberman we all know: a good number of arenas, many options and the ability to play the bomber on two screens will cheer the fans of Bomberman. Pity, however, that a title that points on the multiplayer - since the mere presence of the battle mode - has some limitations with the absence of a local mode with a single copy of the game, or the limited complexity of the online mode.

Red River places one step above Dragon Rising. The game adds some new features that give the title more accessibility, but it lacks in general refinement. Testament The Order of High Human is an experience with ups and downs. The plot never really manages to intrigue but the game world offers several interesting settings and exploration remains pleasant thanks to the fun parkour sections. The combat system is quite simple, yet it does not fail to give magical blows worthy of the name and various ways to make the protagonist more lethal. At the same time, and unfortunately also applies to the bosses, the movements of the enemies turned out to be a bit spartan and unable to match the quality of what has been confirmed as a good visual presentation. If you are looking for an adventure that is not too long, focused on challenging gameplay and made by people with an obvious passion for action RPGs, you will overlook the flaws and enjoy yourself.

Assassin's Creed Shadows marks the continuation, and perhaps the end, of the cycle that began with Origins. However, the episode set in Japan also represents the downward spiral, in terms of quality of some components of the gameplay and content offering, of a structural model that is starting to feel the weight of the years. Shadows is a game that wants to please everyone and that does everything more or less well, but without truly excelling in anything, and - unfortunately - without leaving its mark. The epic of shinobi and samurai leaves open several glimmers of hope for the future. But we hope that, both with DLC tied to the story of Naoe and Yasuke and with the next episodes, the saga can truly start again, rediscovering the ability to amaze us.

Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case tells a good story starring the detective Hercule Poirot, who although younger than his moustached and experienced version is equally shrewd, intelligent and charismatic. The supporting actors and the plot work, brought to life in various and detailed locations by a valuable visual and artistic presentation, net of cutscenes that are not as well cared for. Unfortunately it is precisely in the playful dimension and in the rhythm that the experience loses some points, because sometimes it dilutes the progress too much with lots of backtracking and puzzles with a not exactly intuitive solution. In any case, the title of Blazin Griffin has what it takes to make the fans of the iconic character born from the beloved mystery writer happy.

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando reimagines a tried-and-true formula, transporting it to a new open-world setting where the Swarm Engine's capabilities once again demonstrate their effectiveness in managing hordes. The result is a riot of blood, bullets, gasoline, and ignorance that will delight anyone looking to spend an evening hunting zombies with friends. When everything runs smoothly, Saber Interactive's title effectively conveys the feeling of being in the middle of one of those apocalyptic films where the only priority is surviving yet another wave of the undead. However, the game's offerings, as they stand, are far too limited and quickly become repetitive. The project's underlying structure is solid and shows promise, but new content will be needed to transform Toxic Commando into something more than a fun cooperative shooter for a couple of evenings.

Voice of Cards is an operation of an uncertain nature: too little time between one chapter and another, too few changes, too much repetition of the same stumbles. Empire of the Ants is the work of a small studio that was inspired by the famous novel by Bernard Werber to give a touch of originality to a complex genre like RTS: although the narrative suffers from the "reduced" ways of expressing its protagonists, the excellent visuals manage to give great complexity to a game world that can be appreciated for the care taken in modeling every detail. From a strategic point of view, the title is based on a simple and well-oiled structure, which unfortunately suffers from a basic redundancy caused by the lack of variety and the lack of depth inherent in the game situations, while the exploratory side is often plagued by problematic collision management that sometimes prevents you from fully enjoying the splendid scenarios.

Cyber Shadow is a good product overall, and a decent debut for Mechanical Head's young Finns; a two-dimensional action that pays dignified homage to a game formula capable of still carving out an important space in today's videogame panorama. Its distinctly hardcore nature and amarcord vein make it a title probably unappetizing to a majority audience, certainly pleasant for lovers of old action-platform arcade experiences on the edge of game over. The plot has some brighter moments towards the conclusion (of the first half) but also some inconsistencies linked to a characterization of the characters that is not always effective. The offensive possibilities within the tactical mode are interesting but also limited, as is the breadth of environments which ended up underlining some unrefined aspects of the gameplay. Timekeepers may appeal to the most avid fans of the franchise, but it lacks the refinements that could have made it an RTS capable of reaching greater heights. The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection offers a way to discover—or rediscover—a trilogy lost to time. These are lighthearted, colorful, and breezy titles that appeal primarily to fans of old-school RPGs, yet still manage to carve out a niche for themselves today thanks to a combat system that is enjoyable in its own right, and a pacing that never demands too much of the player. It is especially gratifying to see how Capcom is taking steps to preserve—and, ultimately, lend dignity to—productions that would otherwise risk remaining confined to the past. Nevertheless, this remains a collection that carries with it all the limitations of the original trilogy, including a certain underlying repetitiveness and a structure that, today, struggles to surprise those seeking something deeper or more layered. However, for those willing to embrace its simpler, more childlike nature, the *Star Force* saga remains a sincere adventure.
