    For about half the cost of a lift ticket at a major ski resort, Stoked: Big Air Edition's mountains and riding are an authentic representation of what snowboarding is: a canvas for creativity, where finding a perfect line is its own reward.

    Stoked is a true and pure Snowboard simulation. The ones looking for fast rides and spectacular tricks should think if they can face such a hard approach to the genre.

    Stoked: Big Air Edition is not for everybody. It doesn't fill in the void left by the fabulous, over-the-top style of the SSX series. For players looking for the realistic equivalent of Skate to the snowboarding sport, Stoked is where it at its strongest.

    It's a completely different experience from SSX and other arcade snowboarding game: compelling to the point of frustration, it will give some satisfaction only if you'll dedicate a lot of time and effort to the learning curve. It's a shame that the many events feel somehow disconnected, making the progression even more difficult to follow.

    Stoked: Big Air Edition is a good game dedicated to the most hardcore snowboard fans. If you're looking for a snowboard simulation, this could be your best choice. The budget price and the good gameplay are enough to balance the lack of a proper career mode.

    One of my all time favorite snowboarding games and it is the most realistic one i have ever played. After being an ssx fan for a long time i was not sure if snowboarding games really had a future but this game was a very pleasant surprise. My mistake; I shouldn't trust mainstream coverage of games like this that appeal to a smallish niche of crazy people who'd rather put a lot of effort into perfecting simple tricks than doing absurd tricks and wearing wingsuits or whatever. And that group includes me, so I appreciate this game a lot and am highly impressed by what I was fearing could never live up to its promises. The soundtrack and presentation are both great, too. Really, this game surprised me at every turn and I suspect I'll be playing for a long time to come.… Expand

I don't know what these reviewers are smoking, but you're better off just playing SSX 3 or SSX On Tour on the last-gen consoles. The controls seem like they are ported from a Wii game. You can barely hit grinds and when you do it looks completely retarded. The control scheme is supposed to emulate Skate's but it fails miserably. You flick the stick up and your rider flies 10 feet into the air and looks totally stiff and unrealistic. I'm disappointed that I spent money on this crap based on these reviews. Save your money and either buy an old copy of SSX 3 or On Tour or just wait until a better snowboarding game comes along. Seriously, don't buy this crap.… Expand
