Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is a fair product. It still shows some quality difference between the various disciplines, and its AI is not well balanced, but it's worth to play it with friends or family, as it can give moments of fun and lightheartedness with its multiplayer mode.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is probably something different from what you are used to. The narrative background and the main character are the main charms here, but don't expect any kind of challenge from the gameplay, which suffers from some hiccups in the investigation process. What you're left with is part wasted chance, part fascinating back-story. Surely, it could've been much more than this, and that's a shame.

Scribblenauts Unlimited is nothing special. Simply a Wii U porting of a well known game.

NHL 23 is an improved and refined version of last year's edition. EA Vancouver had declared that it had taken advantage of all the criticisms raised by its passionate community: so it was. Presented as the first blockbuster for PlayStation VR, Farpoint is an interesting title. Being a peculiar combination of an FPS and on-rail shooters, the gameplay works very well, but Farpoint loses its grip in the last part of its adventure. Haunt the House: Terrortown can be considered a successful experiment and one of the few titles really deserving the Playstation Mobile offer.

Ride 2 is a step forward compared to its predecessor, if nothing else for the greatest number of game modes and models. The maturity of the brand, however, is still far away, and the guys at Milestone needs to work harder if they want to publish a new instalment of the series every year.

Jet Car Stunts 2 works fine as the first episode, thanks to an interesting editor that allows player to create and share their own levels.

Overload comes out of that school of thought that, in the 90s, made the FPS great: a fast-paced, fast, punitive and very particular shooter in its movement system. A title that carries that philosophy to the present day, but carries with it a loyalty to the past that structurally feels the weight of time.

Godfall is an immature title, unbalanced in many of its constituent components, evidently built to take advantage of the launch of PlayStation 5 with a bit of cunning. A game with many defects, but also with a satisfying and delightfully hilarious combat system, capable thanks to its enviable substance of supporting - together with the theatrical, exorbitant, opulent technical realization - the entire hut.

No news from the Hack'n'slash battlefront: repetitious action in a wonderful fantasy world. The control scheme works well even on the Pad, online Co-Op helps the replay value.

A classic transitional chapter: it does not include particular novelties, nor does it propose an unforgettable story, but adds new pieces to the narrative mosaic, preparing us for the grand finale.

Exoprimal is a cooperative shooter characterized by a great gameplay, but which desperately needs more content due to excessive repetitiveness of the matches. It takes very little to see everything that Capcom production has to offer. In other words, at the moment it is perfect for playing a few matches in the company of friends, especially if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. Those who, on the other hand, hoped to invest hours and hours to watch the final video of the campaign, may find themselves faced with an insufficiently stimulating package.

Gloomy and enigmatic like few other virtual reality titles, Last Labyrinth is a unique and original experience.

Patapon 2 is not the title we wanted. The team left the gameplay unchanged and repetitive on the level design; the enitre game looks like an add-on of the previous title instead of a new one. The positive points are the new upgrade system of our army, a good multiplayer mode, and an improved longevity, but the game it's always the same.

In short, a glass half full and half empty, for a rather demanding indie which knows how to surprise and excite in any way. Of course, if only it had lasted a little longer.

Mario Kart is still on its throne. Mod Nation Racer has a great editor, but the driving feel is too simple and a little bit clumsy.

Deep and satisfying, Blood Rain Chronicles: Mirage is a valid alternative to Muramasa, ranking itself as a really interesting action game.

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is a fun game that has lost very little in this edition for PS Vita. Unfortunately the price is too high and this is a big problem that makes it advisable only to true fans of the franchise and the genre.

Fossilizing yourself on the past can sometimes be counterproductive, and the risk of inheriting its strengths and weaknesses is high. Contra Operation Galuga's level design hasn't always thrilled us, and we feel the same about the artistic direction behind the experience. The game, however, winks at those nostalgic for the saga, who will have no difficulty feeling at ease in tackling the missions throughout the Galuga archipelago, undoubtedly capable of entertaining long-time fans.

There's more value in the visuals and in the musical score than what you'll find on the gameplay side here, and that's a shame.

We're sure that Tequila Works didn't want to revolutionize the platform adventure genre, and therefore we won't say that Song of Nunu is a failed mission. The intention was to focus on a story with different and more subtle tones, far from what was done in the other League of Legends spin-offs. Song of Nunu is, in short, a more intimate adventure, very story driven and with some combat here and there to embellish everything. There is no great depth of design, nor layered mechanics: all the environmental puzzles are accessible, as are the fights, and the entire experience proceeds in this style. A simple game that sometimes becomes elementary and imprecise. Intriguing for anyone who wants to know a few more details about Nunu and Willump, less remarkable for anyone looking for an adventure to remember.

It's one of those games that you'll enjoy only if you can appreciate the art behind the gameplay, as the latter doesn't have much to offer.

A nice alternative version of Ghostbusters, with a more relevant role of environment puzzles and a sweet control scheme. Too bad the cartoon-graphics aren't that good.

Legends Labyrinth suffers of several problems. Despite that, this unusual hack'n slash-based puzzle will not fail to enthrall thanks to the extraordinary work of level design.

The ultimate effort of the US home team is to combine the excellent experience of the third-person shooter with foundational elements of some of the most successful works of the last few years, in an effective and convincing manner, at least from the gambling point of view.

If you liked the first Kane & Lynch you can give a chance to Dog Days, but the game still suffer from a clumsy gameplay and inaccurate shooting mechanics.

We recommend Path of Exile only if you already have solid group of friends, or if you just want a free pastime and don't want to spend money on better, albeit slightly unoriginal, titles like The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, Torchlight 2 or the Diablos series itself.

It had great potential, and it's a shame that it doesn't get a chance to fully express it. The art behind the project is simply beautiful, but gameplay doesn't show the level of polish we expected. It's still a 10 hours long fun-ride, so you might consider it even if it's not perfect.

Treasure offers another Xbox Live Arcade remake of one of its former glory, after Ikaruga and waiting Radiant Silvergun. Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury adds some interesting options such as co-op, revise the control system experiencing Geometry Wars double-stick and enhances the level editor. On balance, however, this remake proves difficult for novices with its rather steep difficulty curve, while those who have already fleeced on Dreamcast or Nintendo DS will hardly muster the impetus necessary for another take.

To split Break Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse in two parts was not a good idea. When the plot finally starts to take off, everything is postponed to a later date. For the rest, however, it is still the beautiful Broken Sword we know.

ActRaiser Renaissance is an excellent remake that manages, not without some slips, to update a playful formula that over the years has not found convincing re-propositions. When Renaissance stays true to the source material, Sonic Powered's work is able to achieve excellent results, but it is when it deviates from the traced path that something starts to go wrong. Although all the gameplay additions, especially in managerial moments, are appreciable and well structured, what is missing is that perfect cohesion between apparently unapproachable elements that made ActRaiser a masterpiece of the 90s. In any case, Renaissance remains a successful experiment, able to awaken the attention of long-time players and also attract those who, for personal reasons, have never been able to try the original on SNES.

NHL 22 finally brings the series to the next-gen: the beginning is encouraging but we are still far from the magnificence that had characterized the EA series for long periods in its first thirty years of life.

Fieldrunners 2 is one of the best tower defense on the market: fun, nice to play and challenging. However, the PC version in no way justifies the price, very high for a product too similar to version for mobile devices.

Despite the shallow graphics, the new Supreme Ruler is a solid and incredibly depth strategy game that will appeal to every fan. On the other hand the new players will be overwhelmed by its complexity due to the complete lack of a tutorial.

An interesting training ground for whoever wants to face bigger challenges in the near future, but it doesn't have the bone structure to fully stand as an all around experience on its own. On the other hand, some aspects of the combat system show personality, and will make the drawbacks even more annoying.

It remains a well-crafted and well-crafted product for those who have enjoyed titles like Manifest 99 should try.

If the great TMNT: Shredder's Revenge still hasn't quenched your hunger for ninja turtles, with The Cowabunga Collection prepare yourself for indigestion: Digital Eclipse has done a really good job in re-adapting 13 products that have made the history of the Konami series. Some titles have aged well, others a little less (especially the GameBoy ones). In short, for all those teenagers who grew up at the turn of the eighties and nineties with the myth of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello, it is a recommended purchase but some might turn up their noses at the launch price of this collection, proposed at 40 euros.

A nice game, perfect for the players who want a strategical experience without loosing the thrill of the action. Unfortunately, multiplayer options are very poor.

The cocktail of genres proposed by SEGA can be considered an experiment that was only half successful, also because of an overly repetitive narrative and excessively stereotyped characters.

Little Goody Two Shoes is a work that alternates elements of absolute merit with others that are less successful. Greater attention to the adventure, survival and dating sim components would undoubtedly have benefited by offering a more complete and satisfying experience. It's unfortunate that the developers of AstralShift didn't dedicate the same attention to them as they did in the delightful artistic profile of the title.

Anyway, TurnOn proves to be a pleasant, bizarre and curious gaming experience.
