The problems on the content and gameplay front could compromise the longevity of the title, whose long-term success remains an unknown at the moment. The hope is that the developers work hard to constantly entertain a community of enthusiasts who can keep production alive, so that the blood continues to flow for a long time to come.

The first chapter is way better than the second, but it's an overall very interesting offer for all the fans of The New Order.

NBA 2K22 is a very ambitious title, perhaps too much so.

A simple Scrolling Shooter, taking us back directly to the 80's.

This new incarnation of MotoGP presents itself in great shape at the annual meeting with enthusiasts. The neural aid system appears extremely scalable and effective, the campaign is full-bodied and highly customizable and the technical sector has also made some perceptible, although not earth-shattering, steps forward. If you want to get closer to the universe of the world championship or, simply, you are looking for a highly simulation title dedicated to the world of two wheels, MotoGP 24 is an excellent entry point.

A classic approach to the Online FPS genre with the blessing (?) of 256 people connected to the server. Massive, but not so incisive.

If golf games bore you but the real sport you like, then try one without an auto pilot: try Golf Club 2.

A great chapter, one that the fans shouldn't miss.

Given the redundancy of activities and the lack of variety of situations, Insanity will offer a good amount of hours of play only to those who will be moved by the desire to improve their records or to those players dedicated to completism. All the others will find themselves in front of a more compelling experience on the artistic side than on the strictly playful one. Anyone who has experienced Jason's epic in Far Cry 3, however, will certainly have an added incentive to explore Vaas' insane mind.

Ever Oasis starts slow, then picks up the momentum and delivers a brilliant adventure full of colorful characters and fun dungeons. Might be a lil' wonky at times but as a first step in a new franchise Ever Oasis is more than we could have hoped for.

Halfway between Half Life 2 and Snow Piercer, The Last Station entices the player thanks to a curious plot, and offers him a challenging gameplay. Do not judge from the visual style, as the latest title published by tinyBuild needs dedication and strategy.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is a little gem. It's not a game that excels in any particular way, but an experience made up of many very solid, if watered-down, subsystems. The combat isn't technical, but it still manages to convince. The platforming doesn't have the complexity of the masterpieces of the genre, but it's still appreciated. The exploration isn't refined, but it still has some witty solutions and vibrant worlds. The plot isn't anything special, but it's embellished with a humor that constantly oscillates between nonsense and black humor. And it's precisely the latter that acts as a glue for the entire experience, transforming it from a set of more or less interconnected systems into a title of substance, which manages to provide a dozen hours (doubled, if you want to explore everything explorable) of healthy and carefree fun.

The White March focuses on the combat, and that might be good if that's what you loved about Pillars of Eternity. The narration is still sound, but you'll spend more time fighting than ever.

It's not perfect yet, but UFC 2 is a great step forward: there's plenty to do and the graphics are just gorgeous.

The Survivalists proves to be a product of excellent quality, capable of combining depth and accessibility in a surprising way to create an experience that will certainly satisfy both purists of the genre (without ever boring them) and above all any newbies looking for an excuse to take your first steps in the world of survival.

Bit. Trip Runner is an extremely particular product, more an audio-visual experience than just a simple game. It's surely fun, but sometimes hampered by faulty gameplay choices, based on trial and error mechanics. A game not for everyone, but surely interesting.

With Heaven's Vault Inkle offers us another extraordinarily packaged adventure, able to concentrate on very few playful elements, decorated with overflowing aesthetic and artistic qualities.

Top Spin 2K25 will delight all sports enthusiasts thanks to satisfying gameplay and, thanks to an excellent training mode, it is also accessible to those who are only recently approaching the discipline. The animations that immerse you on the numerous and variable playing fields are very good, but the general graphics are not the most modern and much more could have been done to expand a very small roster. The game modes are objectively few, yet the games are so exciting that they remove the specter of boredom. In short, we are faced with a great return for the series.

With a surprising overall performance to be his first commercial work (he had already experimented with this free-of-play Where the Goats are), Cardenas gives us a small but complete artistic treatise in the form of an interactive experience, succeeding in a single stroke on stage a fierce criticism of traditional gaming structures and to enhance the school of subtractive design, describing with a bittersweet and poignant approach to the life of new generations.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a surprising, unique and precious experience, whose imperfections disappear in the embrace of a world in which you will leave a small part of yourself.

Shadowrun Returns is a great role-playing game, which retrieves the features of the original representing them in a perfect title for fans.

The last episode of the series signed by Shinji Mikami is grabbed and thrown on the digital store of Xbox One and PlayStation 4, substantially unchanged since the previous generation. In the end, this is not a remastered version, but an overpriced old game.

Gameplay might be repetitive at times, and the combat system is not bright or innovative as we hoped. Still, the Oros region is just wonderful, and halfway through the game the evolution of the character and of the villages really starts clicking in.

More "Survival" than its predecessor, but still anxious and angry, and challenging, The Evil Within 2 lets you play with pleasure from start to finish. It does not look for originality at all costs, and does not want to invent anything from the point of view of the gaming mechanics, but looks like a solid and addictive product with some unexpected bumps and an intense finish. More than a day-to-day nightmare, it's a very calculated thriller: a nervous, violent and explicit adventure that has to be marked by an excellent alternation of situations.

Section 8: Prejuice is definitely a good online FPS, better than the prequel in every aspect. Single player campaign and multiplayer certainly have much to offer, despite many imperfections.

Twelve Minutes represents a videogame experiment born from a series of suggestive intuitions. The choice of setting the title within the confines of a small two-room apartment, combined with the mystery that constantly permeates the work, certainly represents one of the most valuable aspects of the Indie published by Annapurna Interactive. Unfortunately, a scarce malleability, the limited possibilities of interaction and a narrative evolution that makes excessive use of artificial solutions prevent Luis Antonio's work from fully expressing its starting potential.

Behind Sol Cresta lies the desire for redemption of a Platinum Games wounded in pride since Star Fox Zero. A Shoot 'em up with ancient inspirations but aware of coming into the world in 2022, capable of introducing a huge variety of innovative and brilliant mechanics but that exaggerate with the amount of its contents, which become almost suffocating. Excellent work done on accessibility in a genre in which it is not obvious to have so much freedom of approach, less brilliant than done in terms of legibility, crippled by a shallow color palette and a difficult understanding of the layout of the individual stages. Absolutely unacceptable that its plot has been cut and is being sold separately in a DLC priced at € 10.

Super Mario Run is not an endless run game: it’s a great platform game which can be played on a touch screen.

Rise of the Ronin is undoubtedly the most ambitious of the titles developed by Team Ninja up to this point, as well as the riskiest. This is because the vision modeled by the studio led it to face unprecedented challenges in terms of design and technical implementation, deriving from the choice to opt for an open world that frames a more complex narrative structure than that of the previous productions of the Japanese collective. Unfortunately, the aspects that go beyond Team Ninja's "comfort zone" are also the least convincing, in the face of a playful core that reaffirms the developer's talent for creating layered and satisfying combat systems, this time with an eye towards accessibility. The combat system itself is the element that vigorously raises the qualitative balance of Rise of the Ronin, capable of offering hours and hours of martial contests that are as intense as they are exciting. Such is the merit of the combat-progression combo, that it is easy to establish how a more linear structure focused on clashes would have given greater impetus to the proposal, perhaps limiting the technical compromises that the game clearly manifests. Overall, therefore, Rise of the Ronin offers a worthwhile experience, as well as more accessible than the average of Team Ninja's productions, although the route towards the open world has limited the potential of the proposal.

The positive and negative sides of the curious Piku Odyssey end up being absurd: the first work of the collective Sectordub entertains and distracts, without leaving a mark beyond the carefree and cheerful tones.

No doubt about it: Surviving Mars is a good sci-fi city builder.

What is missing, however, is perhaps that special twist, that extra momentum of creativity capable of giving a truly memorable body and structure to the title: who knows what paradox, considering the total absence of the creepy protagonist's backbone.

PopCap Games reinvents its most famous brand, and turn it in a funny multiplayer shooter, with both cooperative and competitive game modes. It is not revolutionary, but it's still solid and genuinely entertaining.

The first chapter fascinated the public with the great characters and a well crafted cliffhanger. A shame that this second part doesn't seem able to show the same qualities, to shrinked between the linearity and the absence of new fascinating characters.

Onde is a different puzzle platform, one of those video games capable of capturing the player's attention for three hours and projecting it into his two-dimensional world. His genius lies in the flawless management of his single mechanic, which is gradually overturned and transformed to make the game more and more satisfying. Onde is a journey into the eternal cycle of life and death in the universe, a journey to be made by surfing on waves of light while being lulled by its splendid soundtrack.

The rating you find at the bottom of the article is the result of a balance between the incredible qualities of the original product and a remastered work that is not always in-depth. Is Nocturne: HD Remaster the best entry point for the Shin Megami Tensei saga? Surely. Is this the best result that could have been achieved? Probably not. But the desire for Shin Megami Tensei V has now become irrepressible.

Full of pathos, well orchestrated and absolutely epic (but at the same time cryptic), Crimson Shroud will attract its target audience, keeping away all other types of gamers.

Need For Speed ​​Rivals is fast-paced, convincing and fun above all. AllDrive beats down barriers between online and offline once and for all but the 30 FPS anchorage on PC would not be good for enthusiasts.

It seems to take inspiration from some 2D-era classics, but in the end it finds its own dimension. Originality takes time to emerge, but when it does, the game will definitely stand aside as a fulfilled experience.

Although devoid of temporary power-ups and other mechanics of the genre, New Super Lucky's Tale is an honest and fun platformer, whose main defects are represented by a longevity that runs out in 8-12 hours and a challenge rate calibrated towards the bass.

Kaptain Brawe can be today a good start for the young ones who never played Monkey Island or the ones who are never satisfied from the graphic adventures. G5 did a really job on this App and we would enjoy a sequel.

Deadbolt is a small action game that can be extremely funny. The gunfight tension is worth more than the gunfight itself: a fundamental rule in cinema that Hopoo Games perfectly applied to its videogame.

If the future DLC will be held to the same standards as La Rapina, in fact, the city that never sleeps could prove to be an expansion worthy of the basic game.

Despite the plethora of bugs, Red Orchestra 2 delivers the best WW2 experience to date. Forget about the buggy and useless singleplayer and embrace the entangling realism of a real battlefield, like never before.

A terrible edition: a lot of aliasing, input lag and a faulty control scheme.

The Flame in the Flood is a scary and quiet sandbox game, set in a terrifying post-apocalyptic world. The survival game by Molasses Flood tries to provide a strong emotional impact.

There's no getting around it: Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is the best way to enjoy the latest iteration of the party franchise featuring the heroic plumber in overalls. The base game returns in its complete version, enhanced by the Jamboree TV expansion, which dramatically increases the amount of content included in the package. Not all of the new features seemed particularly impressive, but all things considered, it's still one of the best party games on the market.

A change of name isn't enough. It's still Harvest Moon for the most part, and it unexpectedly, and disappointingly, takes even some steps back in the gameplay mechanics.

Aliens: Infestation is another nice effort from WayForward, a team we hope will get major support from the greatest software houses and publishers. It's a genuinely funny game, with a great atmosphere, perfectly suited for those who love Aliens but also for the ones which have never seen a movie of the series.

What is perplexing, if anything, is the selling price of the add-ons, frankly exaggerated for a bunch of content that is anything but something really special.

HB Studios have done a good job with the PGA 2K23 adding some new content while improving the gameplay and simulation realism at the same time. The roster features first-rate stars and some global icons such as Michael Jordan and Steph Curry, while the routes included should keep fans busy for quite a while (thanks to the plethora of content produced by its passionate community). TopGolf mode is a great variation on the theme, and online multiplayer is robust albeit lacking in substantial novelties. The graphics sector, on the other hand, can be improved: the quality of the animations and paths is fluctuating and not up to what is achieved by Visual Concepts / 2K with NBA 2K23.

Evolve is a bold move from Turtle Rock. It's a game that requires time and patience to be fully mastered, and a fair number of matches won't be satisfying for reasons that completely elude the player's will or skill. On the other hand, if you really dedicate yourself to mastering the mechanics, and especially if you have a team of friends to cooperate with, the experience will be absolutely unique. Shame for the lack of starting content, which will require further cash to enrich the lasting appeal.

A nice game, perfect for the players who want a strategical experience without loosing the thrill of the action. Unfortunately, multiplayer options are very poor.

The Atelier saga begins to show its considerable age, both in the graphics and gameplay wise. Fans of the brand will find this chapter interesting anyway, but will probably feel a lack of new elements in the formula. Something truly has to be done in the next future to assure the survival of this saga.

Stirring Abyss is a little indie gem.

Although solid and convincing overall, the technical sector shows a few more flaws than that of the last Call of Duty, while the promise of virtuous and free post-launch support for all bodes well for the near future of the title.

The second incarnation of the Jurassic World Evolution series is undoubtedly a clear step up from its predecessor. The end result is a revised and corrected version of a formula that overall continues to work quite well and that we think will satisfy fans of the saga quite a bit. The game is elaborate but not particularly demanding, and it could certainly represent a more than satisfying pastime, as long as you overlook some small defects that afflict its playful structure.

A Zelda Musou is still a Musou.

The Crew Motorfest exudes passion for motors and everything that surrounds them. Not just mechanisms, sticky oil and metal, but also emotions, history, engineering and pilots. The title does not abandon the arcade nature of its predecessors, on the contrary, it strengthens it with a driving system that is easy to approach but more refined and interesting to master, convincing even if not realistic physics and a very respectable graphics sector. Furthermore, on PS5, Dualsense is a very high added value. It's a shame that to have fun even as a solo player you need to always be connected to the Internet, especially because so close to the launch it's difficult to get an idea about the long-term validity of the online game, which for now is promising but less interesting than the solo component. It's also disappointing for the lower recreational impact of vehicles other than four-wheelers and for the rather derivative soul. Certainly, Ubisoft seems to have revived the fortunes of an IP that risked being forgotten and which has now, instead, stepped on the accelerator.

If you are looking for an arena FPS, simply, fun but at the same time able to offer an high level of challenge, then make it yours.

Aggressors: Ancient Rome is an empty and soulless 4X.

Who would have thought that the world of League of Legends was suitable for a "cozy game"? Yet Bandle Tale a League of Legends Story works really well, at least for video game lovers who don't engage their minds too much. Its calming and relaxing power is undeniable, and lies in the combination of pastel graphics and light texture, perhaps too much so in reality. However, the gameplay loop based on improving one's resource gathering, crafting and decoration skills is solid and varied, with objects, tools and accessories to unlock and build. Everything is embellished with an essential artistic direction, which seems "tailor-made" on the chill genre. In short, when an online session of LoL has got you a little too pumped up, a spin on Bandle Tale is ideal to calm down a bit.

Payday: The Heist is one of the biggest surprises of this hot autumn market, marked by triple-A titles of absolute value. If you have 2 or 3 friends to play with, the title Overkill is a highly recommended purchase. Our congratulations to the developers for the insight: we hope to continue to support their creature with new additional missions and already we dream a sequel with an advanced AI and techinal sector. A must for lovers of the co-op.

Dead Take is a fascinating experiment in blending video game and cinematic language. With an escape room feel and a psychological thriller atmosphere, Surgent Studios' experience fails to fully realize the potential of an intriguing concept. The added value offered by a top-notch cast—the performances of Neil Newbon, Ben Starr, and Jane Perry are particularly impressive—is offset by the decision to allocate a truly limited amount of screen time to each actor. At the same time, the choice to delve into the dark side of Hollywood loses some of its effectiveness when the narrative paths abandon realism to grapple with supernatural allure. Overall, Dead Take remains an engaging experience, capable of maintaining player interest and curiosity. The tension remains palpable, although we would have appreciated less use of jump scares, or at least more contextualization.

Although is not a perfect title (the fighting system is not entirely convincing in terms of balance and rhythm), Paper Mario Color Splash remains a work of undoubted quality; delicious to see, listen to and explore.

Initiation is a very regular package, which relies on the idea of the origins of the bat and retrieves the imagination of Batman Begins, but then binds the player into a series of challenges from a widely known flavor.

Stardust Odyessey is an interesting mix of ingredients that gives life to a pleasant but not perfectly finished playful recipe.

If in general the hybrid nature of Nintendo Switch tends to balance the technical limitations of the hardware with portability, in this case there is no valid reason why you should prefer this second version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox to the one launched just a few months ago on PS4 and PS4 Pro, which has even been supporting 4K resolution for some time.

Once you manage to overcome this impressive rock, however, the game experience becomes satisfying, fascinating and satisfying. Valve, in short, has embarked with knowledge of a difficult road, tortuous and uphill compared to competitors, now we must see if the community will be on his side. Artifact, we repeat, proposes a challenge that is not suitable for everyone.

Delightful content for all Diablo 3 enthusiasts and will probably also attract some of the older nostalgic and obstinate guardians.

A refreshing game, deep and complex, but suitable even for new gamers. It has cool graphics even if the engine is light, and the only issue regards the lack of a real "solo mode". Developed specifically for a multiplayer experience, Demigod is a new approach to the genre.

Midnight Fight Express is an adrenaline-pumping brawler that gives the player considerable freedom of approach. Given their short duration, the levels are faced again without thinking too much, perhaps to take advantage of new skills or to get better ratings. The plot is clearly reduced to the bone and the technical profile reveals the limits of production but we are still faced with a product capable of teasing fans of the genre, without a shadow of a doubt.

Well written characters and a finely crafted battle system make this a great entry in Vita's line up.

A nice start for Sony Motion controller. Move is precise and accurate, and some of the sports in the package are seruoisly entertaining. Too bad that only 6 sports have been included in the blue ray.
