The Dark Pictures Anthology resumes its journey grounded in certain constants—its horror roots, its focus on plot and character, and its narrative branching—but also introduces significant new elements, chief among them a fresh setting and revamped gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, this ambition to innovate was not fully realized; the stealth mechanics in *Directive 8020* prove too rudimentary to sustain the sheer volume of sequences that rely on them, while the sci-fi setting remains anchored to stylistic conventions so ordinary that they prevent the title from standing out from the crowd. The narrative fails to build the sense of gravity that ought to define a mission to save the entire human race, though it recovers slightly thanks to a body-horror-infused finale and an intriguing concluding twist. The new map system, based on "Turning Points," is a godsend for completionists, who can finally explore every nook and cranny of the story without having to needlessly replay entire chapters; meanwhile, on the graphics and performance front, Supermassive has done a solid job, despite the lackluster nature of the art design.- Everyeye.it

Aphelion confirms Don't Nod's versatility and its determination not to remain confined to a single genre, venturing wherever the studio's imagination feels the need to go. However, this adventure on the planet Persephone—in terms of both its gameplay and narrative components—ultimately does little more than scratch the surface of the ice of which it is composed, without ever truly breaking through it. The result is a work that attempts to weave together themes of survival, responsibility, and human connection against the backdrop of an environmental crisis, yet struggles to fully develop its own core concepts. Nevertheless, it remains an intriguing experience—particularly for that segment of the audience seeking a more intimate and grounded science fiction story.- Everyeye.it

Tides of Tomorrow attempts to depict a world suffocated by plastic—crafting a fascinating setting rich in thematic potential—yet ultimately treats the subject with the same superficiality with which, outside the screen, we have learned to coexist with it. All the right ingredients are there: the ambition to confront the player with the moral consequences of their actions, bolstered by a brilliant concept like the "Story-Link," which strives to weave players' choices together within a shared dimension. The problem, however, is that this very ambition struggles to translate into something truly impactful. The numerous choices rarely carry the weight they should, and the saccharine writing style ends up excessively dampening the tone. Tides of Tomorrow offers glimpses of something immense lurking beneath the surface, yet never quite manages to bring it to light.- Everyeye.it

Life is Strange: Reunion brings down the curtain not only on the story of Max and Chloe but on the entire franchise—and it does so in a rather controversial manner. This is not to say it is a bad game; at the very least, Deck Nine has managed to craft a few moments of enjoyable fanservice. Beyond that, however, there is little else: the plot becomes overly convoluted, inexplicably sidelining certain key elements of the lore, while the gameplay is poorly balanced—giving ample scope to Max’s time-rewinding ability while drastically diminishing Chloe’s role. The credits—which roll to the rhythm of an excellent soundtrack—offer only partial satisfaction: they do, admittedly, allow us to bid farewell to Max and Chloe once and for all, but they also leave us wondering just how necessary it all really was.- Everyeye.it

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a project defined by contradictions: ambitious in vision, inconsistent in execution. The lore is expanded with genuine generosity, the return of the original voice cast is a gift that certainly should not have been taken for granted, and the concept of exploring the era of the Imperial Kain through four distinct perspectives remains—from a narrative standpoint—the most compelling direction the series could have taken with a project of this scope. Fans of the mythology will find material well worth the wait. Yet the game built around it is imprecise where it ought to be surgical, sluggish where it strives to be dynamic, and visually uneven in ways that simply cannot be ignored. Those approaching the saga for the first time may find its standing relative to the genre's finest examples to be anything but favorable. Those returning—having grown up with Kain and Raziel and long dreamed of a new chapter in the saga—must first come to terms with the shift in genre, and there is no guarantee they will be willing to do so. Ascendance marks a step in the right direction; however, truly restoring Nosgoth to the greatness it deserves will require far more decisive strides. The future of the series remains entirely unwritten. This title merely hints at that potential, without fully proving it.- Everyeye.it

Origin could have been just another licensed gacha game—a monetization machine disguised as a video game. Fortunately, it is not; it possesses a distinct voice and original ideas, and, above all, demonstrates a genuine desire to be remembered for something that transcends the sheer weight of the license from which it was born. Much will depend on the extent to which Netmarble remains fully committed to pursuing this direction. For now, Britannia is a place worth returning to—despite all the limitations noted thus far.- Everyeye.it

The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection offers a way to discover—or rediscover—a trilogy lost to time. These are lighthearted, colorful, and breezy titles that appeal primarily to fans of old-school RPGs, yet still manage to carve out a niche for themselves today thanks to a combat system that is enjoyable in its own right, and a pacing that never demands too much of the player. It is especially gratifying to see how Capcom is taking steps to preserve—and, ultimately, lend dignity to—productions that would otherwise risk remaining confined to the past. Nevertheless, this remains a collection that carries with it all the limitations of the original trilogy, including a certain underlying repetitiveness and a structure that, today, struggles to surprise those seeking something deeper or more layered. However, for those willing to embrace its simpler, more childlike nature, the *Star Force* saga remains a sincere adventure.- Everyeye.it

1348 Ex Voto is a highly imperfect work that—much like its own history—thrives on dualities, on light and shadow, yet manages to leave a mark in its own way: a small *ex-voto* capable of speaking to us and our modern cages, drawing upon a Middle Ages that proves itself both intimate and relevant.- Everyeye.it

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando reimagines a tried-and-true formula, transporting it to a new open-world setting where the Swarm Engine's capabilities once again demonstrate their effectiveness in managing hordes. The result is a riot of blood, bullets, gasoline, and ignorance that will delight anyone looking to spend an evening hunting zombies with friends. When everything runs smoothly, Saber Interactive's title effectively conveys the feeling of being in the middle of one of those apocalyptic films where the only priority is surviving yet another wave of the undead. However, the game's offerings, as they stand, are far too limited and quickly become repetitive. The project's underlying structure is solid and shows promise, but new content will be needed to transform Toxic Commando into something more than a fun cooperative shooter for a couple of evenings.- Everyeye.it

Rayman: 30th Anniversary is a great re-release marred by the inexplicable absence of the original soundtrack. Rayman is a true classic that, despite its extreme difficulty, remains a very fun and surprisingly beautiful title, and this new edition offers almost all of its versions, well emulated with good image filters, multiple accessibility options, and a selection of extras with exceptional documentary and historical value. But all this good work, without something as important and fundamental as Rémi Gazel's score to complete the experience, ultimately falls flat and greatly diminishes its overall value.- Everyeye.it

God of War: Sons of Sparta is a solid Metroidvania, but it doesn't do anything more or less than many other exponents of the genre. It works, it entertains, and it flows smoothly, but it rarely surprises. The story of Kratos's adolescence and his relationship with Deimos are the heart of the experience, offering a more intimate look at a character we're used to seeing in a completely different light. The idea works, but it's held together by a rather conservative gameplay structure, with redundant combat, a lackluster level design, and an art direction that favors nostalgic homage over originality. The result is an enjoyable but rather standard prequel, closer to a narrative interlude than a fundamental piece of the saga. Kratos fans will still find something to interest them, as will those looking for an accessible Metroidvania without too many rough edges. Those looking for a chapter that will leave their mark will, however, feel like an opportunity only partially exploited.- Everyeye.it

Romeo is a DeadMan is a product that has sparked deep reflection in us: we're happy that a figure like SUDA51 is still active in the global gaming scene and that he's still capable of infusing his creations with such a recognizable stylistic imprint, but it's also true that Grasshopper Manufacture seems anchored in an outdated, almost anachronistic, game development philosophy that needs a breath of fresh air to compete, or even survive, in the ever-changing action genre. While on the one hand, we find a manneristically varied yet solid gameplay structure and an artistic direction that oozes style from every pore, on the other, we must point out a less than rosy situation in terms of level design and the presence of poorly crafted gameplay devices.- Everyeye.it

One of the clearest impressions is that Project Motor Racing is currently a work in progress. It has excellent intentions, a foundation that could grow, and an "old school" philosophy that could appeal to a wide audience. But this requires time, updates, refinements, and a clear creative direction. The game isn't broken, it's not a failed product: it's simply very immature, still far from being a benchmark title, but with enough potential to get there if adequately supported. A release in early access at a budget price would probably have been more consistent with the current offering, because quantitatively speaking, the game offers a lot, but suffers from evident shortcomings in key areas: AI, penalties, driving system, and the overall cohesion of its ecosystem. Some aspects are already very good, and we are confident that in the future the game could become a benchmark for racing game enthusiasts, if only for the uniqueness of its car roster and the good career mode.- Everyeye.it

Sacred 2 Remaster is a preservation effort, rather than a modernization. Longtime fans will benefit, finally being able to explore the world of Ancaria again on next-gen systems. Beyond that, however, the remaster doesn't introduce any significant improvements that would encourage a purchase outright. It remains a piece of gaming history that's refreshing to see brought to new generations. But nostalgia aside—and despite the budget price—it's undeniable that fans of the genre can now find significantly more satisfying experiences for the same money.- Everyeye.it

As much as we appreciate the idea of putting ourselves, for once, not in the shoes of a budding driver needing to prove his worth, but in the cloud of a "Deus ex Machina" who can literally call the shots, build courses, drive, race, and destroy everything, without having to worry about driving techniques, gear changes, road conditions, and so on, Wreckreation takes arcade "simplification" to extremes. The result is not, as the developers likely hoped, a "eat and run" title, where you can enjoy extreme speeds and environmental (and car) destruction freely and without consequences. Crucial details and spectacularity are missing, car customization is extremely limited, and the absence of a certain feeling is felt. Whether the most dedicated players will be able to create courses and flying circuits so insane as to be worth the (albeit modest) price of entry to this enormous, yet empty, playground, we cannot know at this point. For now, if you're willing to bet on Wreckreation, it's certainly not a bad game, but it's not as exciting as it seemed before we started it up for the first time.- Everyeye.it

In an era where titles like Streets of Rage 4, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, and even its predecessor, Double Dragon Gaiden, have proven that it's possible to revive the classic beat 'em up formula with modern depth and respect for the source material, Double Dragon Revive represents a step backwards in virtually every way. It's not easy to frame an operation like Once Upon a Katamari, suspended between the desire to renew a twenty-year-old tradition and the fear of losing the true essence of what is a cult PS2 title. The joy of completely destroying the settings, starting from their smallest elements, remains intact, and it's impossible not to be won over by the nonsensical madness of a video game that never takes itself seriously. Yet it was reasonable to expect some substantial additions to a gameplay formula that, while still unassailable, dates back to distant 2004. Bandai Namco has thus played to the nostalgia factor without taking the risk of modernizing its intellectual property, giving longtime fans another chance to roll their Katamari, but without offering any convincing glimpses into the future of the series.- Everyeye.it

Keeper offers a short journey, and that in itself is certainly not a flaw. The real issue lies in the way the adventure's time has been managed, with the first half containing its most visually and gameplay-wise brilliance. Unfortunately, just when it decides to mix things up, Double Fine's work suffers a dip in quality that's hard to ignore. Even if it's followed by a more successful and genuinely refreshing final section, it still makes a significant impact on a four-hour experience. If you're looking for a relaxing game that's not short on inexplicable creatures and fascinating scenarios—and this is even more true if you have a young player to keep you company—then give Keeper a chance. Those looking to experience Double Fine's "next big thing" would be wise to wait for future updates from Schafer and his team.- Everyeye.it

While moving beyond an artistic inspiration that clearly nods (and maybe even a couple of nods) to Cuphead, Acecraft doesn't break the boundaries of its free-to-play shoot-'em-up nature. The gameplay is simple and extremely intuitive, but it's also slow and lacks much depth or intriguing solutions, while the confusing progression system lives in the shadow of classic gacha progression: without real money, Acecraft feels diluted and uninspiring, but at least it's possible to play for long sessions without having to endure the usual ads that plague mobile titles.- Everyeye.it

All things considered, considering the target audience of all Microids' Poirot games to date and their evolution over time, despite the quality of the writing and narrative, we can't help but consider Death on the Nile a small step backwards, or, to be more polite, at least a "stop." The weak puzzles and the artistically simple technical aspects didn't convince us. After the remake of the first Pac-Man World, it was reasonable to assume that Bandai Namco would continue the nostalgia drive, and the forty-fifth anniversary of Pac-Man was the perfect time to re-release the second installment in the series to attract as much attention as possible. There's no denying that a certain amount of effort went into Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, which not only revamped the game's technical features but also improved its controls, even offering some previously unseen extra content that proves useful in increasing the adventure's overall longevity. The problem is that the original game wasn't exactly the most engaging 3D platformer on the market when it was released in 2002, and the fact that this remake remains as faithful as possible to the original isn't the best business card considering 23 years have passed since then. Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is a nostalgic journey designed for Pac-Man fans, but it doesn't pretend to match the quality of the best modern platformers out there.- Everyeye.it

The Claws of Awaji is a DLC that reflects both the strengths and weaknesses of Assassin's Creed Shadows: some narrative elements are interesting, but the story ends without much excitement, nor does it sufficiently delve into the renewed conflict between Assassins and Templars. The introduction of a new weapon for Naoe livens up the combat a bit, but the gameplay remains more or less the same: ultimately, Awaji is an island that replicates the same exploration loop as the base game on a smaller scale, without adding anything new. Although it is free for all those who pre-ordered at the time, it is still a significant expansion at €25.- Everyeye.it

As often happens with first works, Lost Soul Aside was the victim of its creator's unbridled ambitions and the vast inexperience of the team that supported him during development. Eleven years ago, the project, spearheaded by Yang Bing alone, seemed simply incredible, but today—especially with the latest generational leap and the advent of titles like Black Myth: Wukong—the magic of Lost Soul Aside has faded, becoming a sort of standard. The title is based on a frenetic, robust, and satisfying combat system unlike any other, but this alone cannot offset the numerous problems that plague all other aspects of Chinese production, nor does it justify the high entry price set by Sony this time around. Faced with a market now saturated with souls-like games and increasingly less diverse, fans of more traditional action RPGs and hack'n'slash games might still give it a chance.- Everyeye.it

Metal Eden is a video game about synthetic humans and robots, and in an almost meta-narrative sense, it feels cold and soulless. The pursuit of rhythmic and engaging gameplay is evident, yet another attempt to emulate the Doom formula. The experience feels repetitive and linear, less layered or challenging than it could have been. Moreover, the game even underuses its signature mechanic, the absorption of cores, which becomes quite repetitive over time. It's not a bad game, let's be clear: those who enjoy FPS challenges with "push-forward" gameplay have at least eight missions to test themselves with various weapons and a narrator with a lot to say. Echoes of the End is only halfway successful. The game boasts impressive technical features and a puzzle quality rarely found in an action adventure. While it's a pleasure to play, the Myrkur Games production suffers from a number of issues, including a rather crude combat system and, more generally, a fairly derivative story. Edens Zero is a seemingly half-hearted and unconventional undertaking: a title designed for fans already familiar with the story, the characters, and their powers. Getting interested in Mashima's work from the game alone is difficult, as the hyper-fast-paced plot doesn't allow for any attachment or empathy, the stark locations lack the same punch as those drawn in the manga or anime, and the characters are like dolls to be dressed up however we want, only to have them clash with each other, without ever feeling a sense of challenge. If that's enough for you, there are indeed quite a few costumes and "costumes," especially (but not exclusively) for women, with animations that showcase them well, and models of the protagonists that fit them perfectly. As for the game itself, however, there's very little RPG in it, and the action is lazy and overly simple. A real shame.- Everyeye.it

Bandai Namco's remaster of the first two Patapon games, cult classics relegated to a console now obsolete, is the best way to rediscover the charm of a saga that previously suffered from problematic porting. Pyramid and Japan Studio's absurd gameplay recipe, with its blend of strategy and rhythm with RPG elements, is still irresistible despite the repetitiveness that lurks at its core, partly due to a gameplay structure that thrives in short play sessions. Shadow Labyrinth is undoubtedly an interesting experiment, starting from an idea we'd like to see explored more often: thoughtfully modernizing a past title, reviving the key ideas that led to its creation but incorporating them into a modern framework. It's a shame the execution isn't the best: beneath the pleasant nods to Bandai Namco's history lies a derivative Metroidvania, reminiscent of a bygone era. Compared to Astrobot, which was effectively a small game with great gaming value, Switch 2's Welcome Tour is a strange hybrid that constantly oscillates between fun, interesting and boring, without ever finding a stable position. Would it have been better if they had given it away? Definitely. Is the price an insurmountable obstacle compared to the value of the product? RoadCraft is an interesting simulation compromise, which combines great attention to detail in models, times and settings, with the attempt to maximize the importance of the “task - completion - reward” mechanism. There is no need to refuel the vehicles, nor to worry about them breaking. It is almost more of a “simulation of a child builder’s imagination”, where everything is allowed and experimentation is a must. By involving other players online, distributing tasks and playing “role-playing”, the title’s playful peak is reached. However, those who experience RoadCraft alone will notice the hybrid nature which is not entirely realistic, nor “facilitated” enough. The Precinct has everything it needs to put on a great show, but it forgets the most important thing: entertainment. It starts with an intriguing idea and develops it through a solid procedural structure... which, however, begins to creak too quickly. The narrative is stripped down to the bare bones, the game world is fascinating but remains superficial, and the gameplay, despite some brilliant intuition, struggles to renew itself over time. And yet, there are moments in which everything seems to work: hair-raising chases, a well-crafted moral system and that pinch of satisfaction in enforcing the law - at least while it lasts. Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a love letter to Tite Kubo's work and his legions of fans. By forgoing even the slightest competitive ambition, Tamsoft has managed to translate the spectacular and even unpredictable nature of Bleach's battles into playful terms, developing a noisy and strategically-focused combat system. Unfortunately, the story mode, the online infrastructure, the roster of playable characters, and even the balance leave much to be desired, but we are nevertheless convinced that the developer has succeeded in its main intent, which was to create a tie-in that fully respects the unique and unmistakable style of the license. Assassin's Creed Shadows marks the continuation, and perhaps the end, of the cycle that began with Origins. However, the episode set in Japan also represents the downward spiral, in terms of quality of some components of the gameplay and content offering, of a structural model that is starting to feel the weight of the years. Shadows is a game that wants to please everyone and that does everything more or less well, but without truly excelling in anything, and - unfortunately - without leaving its mark. Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a good remaster of a title that has some structural flaws, some evident at the time of its release and others that have emerged over time. There is no point in hiding the problems: the camera management is antiquated, the controls far from the modern standard, the uncertainties in the registration of inputs and in the AI of the enemies are difficult to forgive (also because they were easily resolvable, with a fine work on the game code). On the other hand, however, we have a work of preservation of a much-loved classic in the world of Star Wars, which puts on the table a classic but modernized aesthetic, renewed textures, a nostalgic soundtrack and atmospheres that will surely thrill George Lucas fans. The replayability is high, while the local multiplayer and the additional modes (primarily the one-on-one one) add depth to the game. Recommended, but only for Star Wars fans!- Everyeye.it

Unfortunately, the gameplay, the fights and the puzzles are much less refined and perhaps the most serious shortcoming is yet another: the game has little soul, and uses the action figures involved less than it should. In short, it would have been better not to bring the Funko Pops to life. They are definitely better off standing still on our shelves.- Everyeye.it

Freedom Wars Remastered should have arrived in 2025 with more content, not just a higher difficulty mode. It is not enough to debut on a home console with an improved resolution and 60fps, especially if the models remain the same that were proposed at a much lower definition and on a smaller screen. This operation seemed to us to be intended only for nostalgics or those who do not want to let the memory of Freedom Wars go into oblivion. A real shame, especially because if the intention was to test the waters for a possible sequel it will be difficult to convince Bandai Namco to invest in the operation.- Everyeye.it

Both for the care with which the game world is created and for the quantity of content, Wuthering Waves struggles to compete with the market giants it tries to imitate. Kong Survivor Instinct is a simple game with a clear mission: to make us experience the tension of being hunted by giant monsters that try to crush us by demolishing everything in their path. A mission that is overall successful, but not flawlessly. The gameplay mix has its ups and downs, also due to the stiffness of the protagonist and the less than brilliant clashes with human enemies. We really liked the dynamic backgrounds, but the experience - if nothing else, better and not a little better than the previous one on King Kong - remains of fluctuating effectiveness.- Everyeye.it

While never reaching particularly high quality peaks, Alien: Rogue Incursion confirms itself as a good action game in virtual reality, which sacrifices the horror element typical of the film saga in favor of a more direct and brutal approach. Although not intrinsically lacking, the formula chosen by the developers shows its side with a certain basic repetitiveness, closely linked to the reduction of the threat represented by the xenomorphs. While a little more variety would certainly have benefited the production of Survios, Rogue Incursion remains an enjoyable title, especially if you are a fan of the imagery created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett.- Everyeye.it

Fairy Tail 2 had the duty to unleash the great latent potential of the first episode, but unfortunately the developer missed the mark, creating a title that is overall inferior to the previous one. Drawing on the lessons and mechanics of the Atelier Ryza trilogy, the turn-based combat system has made huge steps forward, and it is a real shame that all the other aspects of the production have been neglected or at least penalized by decisions that are nothing short of opinionated. We are convinced that fans of the license will love it despite all its flaws, but it is highly unlikely that the title will be able to win the sympathies of those who still do not have a strong attachment to Natsu and company.- Everyeye.it

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered has the undoubted merit of preserving and re-proposing in an updated key a saga that still today has all the cards on the table to fascinate the public, thanks to charismatic characters and an evocative imagery. The process of updating the experience implemented by Aspyr is fluctuating, and fails to stem the effects of the passage of time, especially evident for the first Soul Reaver. With the hope of one day being able to witness the announcement of a true remake of Raziel's epic, The Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered manages at least to attenuate the nostalgia of the fans of the first hour, with a rich package of extra content and the possibility of reliving, at a modest expense, two games that have made history.- Everyeye.it

Despite being rooted in a valuable gaming system, supported by a convincing technical sector, Metro Awakening struggles to maintain its initial momentum among the numerous stages of an adventure that, in the absence of noteworthy variations, is longer than it should be and - especially in the final hours - rather repetitive. Vertigo Games has done a good job in adapting the atmosphere and characters of 4A Games' post-apocalypse to the interactive framework of virtual reality, but without managing to compose a fully balanced and satisfying offer. The Pokémon TCG Pocket must be analyzed for what it is, that is, a mammoth but clearly evolving work. It is the most ambitious digitalization ever of the popular card game, as well as the main attempt to modernize its core mechanics in a few years now. From a technical point of view, the mobile app is well made and collectors will be happy to spend hours and hours immersed in decks, binders and displays of their favorite Pokémon. At the same time, a sparing distribution of the rarest cards risks undermining the experience of all users, from those who just want to "catch 'em all" to those who aim to experiment with as many competitive decks as possible. For this latter type of player, however, the biggest obstacle to overcome is the simplicity not only of the mechanics, greatly streamlined compared to the originals, but also of the cards themselves. Simplicity that can make sense in an introductory set, of course, but which must absolutely give way to deeper strategies in the near future.- Everyeye.it

Empire of the Ants is the work of a small studio that was inspired by the famous novel by Bernard Werber to give a touch of originality to a complex genre like RTS: although the narrative suffers from the "reduced" ways of expressing its protagonists, the excellent visuals manage to give great complexity to a game world that can be appreciated for the care taken in modeling every detail. From a strategic point of view, the title is based on a simple and well-oiled structure, which unfortunately suffers from a basic redundancy caused by the lack of variety and the lack of depth inherent in the game situations, while the exploratory side is often plagued by problematic collision management that sometimes prevents you from fully enjoying the splendid scenarios.- Everyeye.it

Mutants Unleashed is a dull game, from every point of view. It is not fun in single player and it is not fun in multiplayer. Outright Games deals with games aimed at a young audience and, given that children are perhaps twice as eager to play as us adults, standing still watching cutscenes, identical and silent, seems like a contradiction. In short, if you are a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, rewatch Mutant Chaos or Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Paramount, read The Last Ronin or play Shredder Revenge, but save Mutants Unleashed. Overall, Undisputed is a worthy product, which manages to bring “great boxing” back to the market in video games, a good fifteen years after the release of the last Fight Night. The core of the proposal is represented by an excellent assortment of mechanics, which grants ample room for maneuver both to those looking for a more technical experience, and to novices in the art of digital boxing. Far from being the disaster prophesied by the genre's detractors, but the miracle desired by fans of the great artists involved this time by FuRyu, REYNATIS is a practical demonstration of how, many times, it is not enough to put together brilliant minds to give life to an authentic masterpiece. Indeed, the superficial screenplay by Kazushige Nojima and the repetitive soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura almost seem to suggest that not even they fully believed in the goodness of the project, whose most successful elements are hands down the artwork created by Yasutaka Kaburagi. Although limited by an extremely dated technical sector and an almost non-existent level of difficulty, the combat system of REYNATIS is quite intriguing, even if some mechanics could have been implemented with greater conviction. All things considered, REYNATIS takes home a passing grade, however the advice is to wait for the first discount before pouring into the streets of this dystopian reinterpretation of Shibuya.- Everyeye.it

Akimbot's adventure isn't unpleasant, but its shortcomings are evident. The potential of the combat has remained partly unexpressed, either because of some weapons that are too standard, or because of the limitations of the more particular and powerful ones. Then there's the platforming, which has its moments of brilliance, but is accompanied by phases that are far less successful and with an inconsistent pace. The gameplay structure rests on a story with "forecast" developments, which fails to enhance the game's most interesting characters. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a fun game, but it's not enough. We appreciate the effort to adapt a sport that was based on other rules to a video game content that must come to terms with the needs of the gameplay. However, we reiterate, that today the content is really too little: the single player challenges are limited and the multiplayer can satisfy you for a few games, but nothing more. More modes, more proposals and a more varied offer were needed, especially in the customization of the team, which instead has few skills to improve. Fans will have their share of satisfaction in whizzing around with their brooms, but the difficulty of the gameplay risks raising the accessibility bar a lot and keeping out all that more casual audience that instead in Hogwarts Legacy had made the fortune of Portkey Games.- Everyeye.it

Although the new class system has undoubtedly helped to rejuvenate the product formula a little, Square Enix's new "vision" continues to be too anchored to the traditions of the long-running Japanese saga, which this year celebrated its thirty-third anniversary. The conversion for Nintendo Switch does not do full justice to ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, which won over audiences and critics last year (albeit with some reservations). Bandai Namco Entertainment's decision to directly market the Deluxe Edition of the product, which at this time therefore includes all the DLC previously sold separately, does not at all compensate for the serious technical compromises that the ILCA team had to make in order to run the title on the hybrid car from the Kyoto company. Critical Hit Games' debut title is a graphic adventure capable of building a fascinating setting, certainly indebted to the imagery linked to the cornerstones of the genre, but with a unique personality thanks to the aesthetic and musical references to the United States of the 1990s 40. Nobody Wants to Die reduces the possibilities of its gameplay to the bare minimum, forcing the player to simply reach for the different indicators on the screen, to focus everything on a story that unfortunately does not develop in an orderly manner. A verbose exposition tends to dampen interest in a setting that would have worked better by leaving something to the imagination, while the plot finds complete meaning only through one of the four available endings, while the other three fail to fill several gaps in a slightly confusing script.- Everyeye.it

Thanks to a very pleasant visual and sound component (with some hesitations during the more challenging mini games, especially those in the company of Yor), Operation Memories knows well which audience to address and hits the target overall, but it should be played in small doses. In this sense, the Nintendo Switch version is the one most suitable for hit-and-run games: on the other hand, repetitiveness arises quickly if you don't experience the daily life of the Forgers little by little. The idea of immersing ourselves in the lightness of the slice of life aspect of Spy x Family is a winning one, and in this respect Bandai-Namco's work is a constant hymn to good humor, where fan service reigns supreme. However, the somewhat invasive internal currency system and a gameplay loop that quickly tends towards redundancy do not allow Operation Memories to express its maximum potential. Rise of the Ronin is undoubtedly the most ambitious of the titles developed by Team Ninja up to this point, as well as the riskiest. This is because the vision modeled by the studio led it to face unprecedented challenges in terms of design and technical implementation, deriving from the choice to opt for an open world that frames a more complex narrative structure than that of the previous productions of the Japanese collective. Unfortunately, the aspects that go beyond Team Ninja's "comfort zone" are also the least convincing, in the face of a playful core that reaffirms the developer's talent for creating layered and satisfying combat systems, this time with an eye towards accessibility. The combat system itself is the element that vigorously raises the qualitative balance of Rise of the Ronin, capable of offering hours and hours of martial contests that are as intense as they are exciting. Such is the merit of the combat-progression combo, that it is easy to establish how a more linear structure focused on clashes would have given greater impetus to the proposal, perhaps limiting the technical compromises that the game clearly manifests. Overall, therefore, Rise of the Ronin offers a worthwhile experience, as well as more accessible than the average of Team Ninja's productions, although the route towards the open world has limited the potential of the proposal.- Everyeye.it

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could have been saved, in his evaluation, by the narrative plot: beyond the goodness of the writing of the protagonists, however, there is nothing else, because even the idiosyncrasies with the comic book counterparts they scream before the eyes of passionate readers. That should have and could have been the main target to address, but even the most ferocious enthusiasts would have found fault with this arid content proposal. Metropolis is bare, it is a desert which, although justified by the plot devices, is not sufficient for our gaming era. The missions are all repetitive, some suffocating the yield, even worse than what Insomniac tried to do with Mary Jane's stealth in Spider-Man 2. What remains to be saved are the technical profile, of an excellent level, and the gunplay, which is pleasant for who wants to shoot with little worry and blow up everything possible. The plot has some brighter moments towards the conclusion (of the first half) but also some inconsistencies linked to a characterization of the characters that is not always effective. The offensive possibilities within the tactical mode are interesting but also limited, as is the breadth of environments which ended up underlining some unrefined aspects of the gameplay. Net of the charm of the protagonists and an overall enjoyable combat system, Devil May Cry Peak of Combat is a product totally devoid of original ideas which limits itself to replicating what has been done by other free to play games, however obtaining results which are not even vaguely comparable in terms of effectiveness. So if you appreciate the formula, you'd better divert your attention to Honkai Impact 3rd and other free action games for mobile.- Everyeye.it

Years after the release of the previous iteration of the Monsters genre, The Dark Prince had the opportunity to modernize the historic playful formula of the spin-off and ferry it towards still unexplored lands. Despite the predictions, however, the development team seems to have almost completely given up on the idea of renewing the monster recruitment mechanics and above all the product's combat system, which appears tired and dated. Leaving aside the uncertainties of the performances, which we hope will be circumvented as soon as possible with a corrective patch, the bitterest pills are represented by the choice to make Psaro a silent protagonist and by a hasty screenplay, which in our opinion do not do justice to the dramatic story of one of the most charismatic antagonists of the entire saga. In short, the Lord of Monstrosity deserved treatment more in keeping with his worth.- Everyeye.it

Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All 2 takes up the strengths and critical points of its predecessor, because both in terms of visual and gameplay it has confirmed itself as an overly conservative sequel. There are some small but welcome improvements in terms of variety of levels but the experience is not characterized by particular creative flashes and in the long run it becomes repetitive. In any case, we are talking about a decent scrolling fighting game that is above all pleasant to look at, thanks to the successful cartoony presentation of the image. If you are a fan of Asterix and Obelix and have a friend to play it with, Slap Them All 2 could still be for you, as long as you don't expect an adventure driven by particular ambitions.- Everyeye.it

Christmas Massacre is a magnificent disaster. Puppet Combo's latest effort can't even remotely compete with sacred monsters like Hotline Miami, but that doesn't mean it's a product to ignore. In fact, it is a short and affordable experience whose purchase could be considered by those who want nothing more than to have a laugh, perhaps in the company of some friends and in the midst of the Christmas holidays.- Everyeye.it

Sociable Soccer 24 takes up the baton of Sensible Soccer, but we are clearly talking about a more modern and therefore different experience. He's still faithful to the hit-and-run approach, to quick matches, to "I'll play the last match and then I'll stop". The single player campaign, although simple in structure, is entertaining enough, while local games with friends can be addictive. The variety of players and teams guaranteed by the official licenses is good and the graphics are essential, with some rough edges, but also characteristic. Unfortunately, online multiplayer is very problematic at the moment and we hope that the experts can work to improve the situation as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend Sociable Soccer 24 to those looking for a fiercely arcade and immediacy football experience.- Everyeye.it

The Last Faith is a soulslike metroidvania with many strengths and weaknesses. An experience that oscillates between satisfying and frustrating due to a somewhat lazy level design and, above all, an incorrect balance of the forces in play. Sometimes there are too many enemies in a small space, Bosses who are too resistant, or poorly distributed checkpoints. However, the not too high price, the inspired artistic direction, the many beautiful pixel art models are good incentives to give the game a chance, especially if you are passionate about the genre.- Everyeye.it

Thanks to the absence of new mechanics capable of livening up a gameplay that is starting to be a little too monotonous, rather than the compendium promised to fans of the brand, the tie-in seemed like a half-hearted and haphazardly assembled task. A real stopgap, in the wake of what was done at the time with Ultimate STORM Generations and Revolution, waiting for the inevitable video game adaptation of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations to finally take shape.- Everyeye.it

Can Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 be considered an expansion sold at full price? In part yes, and this element inevitably affects the vote, like the questionable single campaign. At the same time, however, it is impossible to pretend nothing has happened: the multiplayer component is the most fun to play in recent years and includes a pack of maps much loved by fans. Unless you buy COD just for the campaign and are willing to turn a blind eye to the lack of major innovations compared to last year, it is really difficult for you to be disappointed by the classic multiplayer of this chapter.- Everyeye.it

Ufo Robot Grendizer The Feast of Wolves is a game designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. And nothing else. In Italy the localization operation gave us a magnificent dubbing: adhering to the original also in the choice of timbre of the voice actors and voice actresses, as well as in the tones, vocabulary and theatricality. If you don't get bored of facing about 5 hours of very basic challenges and combat just to enjoy these moments of profound nostalgia, then feel free to raise your final rating by half a point. Perhaps with Ufo Robot by Microids you could make a younger relative experience, in an interactive format, a story from your past: the legend of the "thousand valve circuits" and the "miracle of electronics" that "sprints and goes in space".- Everyeye.it
