Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is more than just a sequel. Gust delivers a real breath with a revisited formula much more dynamic and fun, but sad to found back the same defaults than the 2020 game.
-
Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is a good RPG that excellently adapts the events of the last arc of the manga/anime. It's a real treat for fans with its good combat system and good character representation, although its technical limitations hinder the game's potential.
-
Dec 13, 2024A definite recommendation for Fairy Tail fans, Fairy Tail 2 has its issues, mainly with pacing, but the overall package is an enjoyable journey with a beloved cast of characters.
-
Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 wastes no time in throwing players into the action, perhaps at the expense of being welcoming to newcomers. Those who have played the first game, however, will probably love this sequel, even though its new combat system becomes a little repetitive during extended playing sessions.
-
Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 had the duty to unleash the great latent potential of the first episode, but unfortunately the developer missed the mark, creating a title that is overall inferior to the previous one. Drawing on the lessons and mechanics of the Atelier Ryza trilogy, the turn-based combat system has made huge steps forward, and it is a real shame that all the other aspects of the production have been neglected or at least penalized by decisions that are nothing short of opinionated. We are convinced that fans of the license will love it despite all its flaws, but it is highly unlikely that the title will be able to win the sympathies of those who still do not have a strong attachment to Natsu and company.
-
Dec 16, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is a mixed bag, appealing to fans but not really respecting the original manga/anime and showcasing the world of Fairy Tail to newcomers with a lackluster RPG only supported by a decent combat system.
-
Dec 17, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is a highly derivative game that even fans of the anime will struggle to enjoy. The first signs of its lackluster quality appear in the mediocre character models, which are further compounded by a dull and uninspired combat system that lacks any real excitement.
