Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is a wonderful continuation of this RPG anime adaptation, with fast paced flashy combat and a gorgeous world to explore.

Feb 12, 2025If you're a fan of Fairy Tail, well, you probably already bought the game. If you're not, then I doubt this game will persuade you, but if you're at all curious, and don't mind being thrown in at the tail (see what I did there?) end of the story, then I think theres a lot of fun to be had in the world of Earth-Land.

Dec 11, 2024Adapting the final explosive story arc of the original story, Fairy Tail 2 is a game that goes straight to the point, featuring charming characters and a well-crafted combat system that makes fighting the forces of the Alvarez Empire incredibly fun. The lack of any involving side activity, lackluster world design and very short length, however, limit the appeal of the experience only to fans of Hiro Mashima's works, as there simply isn't enough for those who are already in love with Fairy Tail to justify a purchase.

Jan 6, 2025I like Fairy Tail 2. It’s competent but not great, and there are a few things that irk me; like locking exploration behind specific characters that join much later. If you’re not a fan of the series, the game lacks quite a bit of backstory, and even the stuff that is in the game can be locked behind late game campfire scenes. If you are a fan of Fairy Tail in manga or anime form, this is a fun jaunt through the final arc of the series.

Dec 11, 2024Fairy Tail 2 is a title that struggles to convey the genuine fun typical of the adventures born from Hiro Mashima's pen. Behind a combat system that is overall decent and enjoyable—particularly in small doses and during boss fights—lies a formulaic and at times fragile JRPG that fails to rise above mere mediocrity. A major disappointment, it is recommended only for die-hard Fairy Tail fans who might still be able to overlook its obvious shortcomings.

Mar 10, 2025FAIRY TAIL 2 is best left for fans and potentially players of the first game. A fun combat system and entertaining character interactions are strained against a linear, dull boss rush adventure with poor performance and weak sidequesting. I don’t think I can call this game an RPG in any capacity.

Jan 13, 2025Even if you're a huge Fairy Tail fan, stay away. In fact, if you're a huge Fairy Tail fan, you should especially stay away.
