Keiji Inafune seems to be a bit lost with this game. Maybe it was the budget management? Nevertheless, Mighty No. 9 is a disappointment. It's a very mediocre platformer that more often irritates than entertains.

Dead by Daylight can be scary for the victims and satisfying for the hunter, but lack of variety in game modes makes it repetitive after a dozen or so hours, especially if we don't have a group of friends ready for bloody competition.

Spiders proves once again that you don't really need a huge budget to create something pleasant and somewhat unique. The Technomancer is not a top-shelf AAA kind of game, but it's also not a mediocre one. Some 30 hours on Mars goes by very quickly.

Inside is short but immensely interesting, telling its story almost like a silent movie, without words. Playday has once again managed to create something unique, a game that stays with us for hours after finishing the story.

Short and simple adventure, providing few hours of gameplay. Opus: The Day We Found Earth will make you appreciate the size of the universe, even if the gameplay mechanic is not very deep.

It's hard to be bored while sabotaging competition's infrastructure and detonating underground nukes. Couple more buildings or patents would be a welcome addition, but Offworld Trading Company is already a complete, well-thought-out strategy.

Umbrella Corps has potential and interesting concepts - and not much more. Few engaging moments can't hide the overall mediocrity and lack of polish. Patches can improve the game in a long run, but so far there's little to be excited about.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a classic example of form over substance. Pleasant, acrobatic sprint over futuristic roofs is often slowed down and distracted by focus on combat or hidden items. Basic gameplay and running in the City of Glass is still more than worthwhile though - there's no better courier than Faith.

Shadwen's biggest problem is not the execution, but an excess of ideas. Frozenbyte tried to include various mechanics and concepts, prioritizing quantity, not quality. It seems the game would be better without the shallow emotional story and time-stopping system. Gameplay is more often annoying than fun.

Despite some shortcomings and impediments in the combat system, Valkyria Chronicles has barely aged at all. Sure, it's a last-gen game, but it's still charming, intriguing and forcing to use a tactical approach.

Severed is a great game, drawing from the classic dungeon crawling adventures, with an interesting gameplay model and unique visuals. Unfortunately, full playthrough is a little bit too short - it's a pity to part with such a good production after seven hours of fun.

Overwatch in a nutshell? Satisfaction, competition, excitement and heaps of fun, thanks to extremely refined gameplay. One of the best online shooters available, with plenty of varied characters to choose from and master.

When it comes to expansion packs, Blood and Wine is truly a masterpiece: huge scale, beautiful vistas, interesting stories and multitude of activities beyond the main quest. A wonderful goodbye for one of the best games in a long, long time.

People interested in improving scores in rhythmic fight sequences will have a moment of fun with Shadow of the Beast. Those counting on a story, exploration or character development will be disappointed - there's not much more under the puddle of blood.

Subsequent episodes of The Walking Dead: Michonne were issued very quickly. This affected the quality of the final product, and the full story can be completed in few hours. The game fails in many ways and makes us more a spectator than a participant in the events.

Total War: Warhammer is a successful entry in the storied franchise, its biggest advantage being the opportunity to guide perfectly recreated units from the tabletop original. This diversity encourages to try and finish all the campaigns, even though the differences between armies should have been emphasized a little bit stronger.

Id Software proved that you can use a classic road to get to present time, without destroying the charm of the original. Doom remains an old-school, dynamic shooter devoid of lengthy cut-scenes and convoluted plot. It's a hell of a ride, just like twenty years ago.

Homefront: The Revolution can at times make us feel like a freedom fighter. These moments are pleasant, but far too rare. Gameplay quickly boils down to checking tick-boxes on a map and even the story missions are not sufficiently engaging and interesting.

Stellaris brings a lot of fresh elements to the space strategy genre, but - after a promising start - the gameplay changes into more tedious management. At some point you can't help but feel it would be more interesting to start again with a fresh save and abandon our civilization: special events disappear, errors make it impossible to finish missions and the enemy AI is never very smart in combat.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an interesting proposition, worth recommending for gamers interested in complicated strategy, with quick reflexes and divided attention. It's also a beautiful adaptation, perfectly conveying the atmosphere of Warhammer 40,000.

Uncharted 4 undoubtedly keeps up pace with its predecessors, serving as an excellent ending for the series. A lot of action, incredible adventures, humor, and highest levels of audio and graphics in video games - Uncharted 4 has it all. It's a stellar game.

Stories: The Path of Destinies masterfully blends interactive storytelling with action gameplay. It's the story that's undoubtedly the best part of the game, but other elements are not far behind. All of this makes replaying a highly attractive proposition, even after discovering that one, proper ending.

Alienation is a beautiful and deadly spectacle. Gameplay is immensely fun, making it hard to stop exterminating more and more aliens. It is a pity that the developers could not achieve 60 frames per second or add a local co-op option, but the game is great nonetheless.

An interesting and pleasant adventure, not too demanding alternative for Pokémon fans, who are perhaps a little bit tired with the same formula. Yo-Kai Watch won't offer any deep gameplay system, but maybe that's the point.

Hyper Light Drifter offers an engaging, mysterious adventure. Heart Machine's game demands patience, but rewards with great atmosphere and satisfying combat system. All we need is an addition 30 frames per second. 30 FPS lock can be a valid design choice, but not in a dynamic game with a focus on action.

Forced Showdown's design makes it fun to exterminate hordes of enemies for a few hours on various arenas, but later on the progress of unlocking much needed cards stalls significantly, just like our enjoyment.
