Shadow Warrior 2 is a great sequel. Even irritating dialogues and jokes can't hide the fact, that the combat is simply great and enjoyable. Every fan of dynamic shooting -- and slashing -- should definitely spend some time with the game.

It's obvious that Mafia 3 is a game with huge potential, with a great prologue and a couple of missions later on. Sadly, it seems the developers did everything they could to undermine the quality of the game. However, despite many shortcomings, Mafia 3 still has this special "something" that makes you want to come back and find some more TL-49 fuses.

Gears of War 4 as a whole looks interesting and it's definitely a pleasure to once again become an armed warrior and jump from cover to cover. The game may not impress in terms of graphics, and the universe is not as captivating as it used to be, but it's still good, demanding "Gears" - and that's crucial.

Diverse content, great locations and a number of well-thought-out changes make Legion one of the best opportunities to go back to World of Warcraft. The road to "max level" is a pure pleasure and new endgame activities don't disappoint.

There's few bigger additions in Rise of Iron and the latest expansion certainly won't make you feel like you're playing a brand new game, but gathering fresh loot and discovering secrets can still be engaging.

Massive Damage deftly combines several genres, but some aspects detract from other, better elements - especially resources gathering and waiting for buildings. Still, Halcyon 6 can be recommended for every fan of space exploration and management, often making us feel like in a Star Trek episode.

Despite the banal gameplay mechanics, Reigns is a great little game that will keep you engaged for hours. Nerial is another studio proving that minimalism can go hand in hand with great gameplay.

Toxikk is a great arena shooter, but lacking one element that would make it unique - especially in terms of available weapons. Enthusiasts of classic shooters, especially Unreal Tournament, should check it out nevertheless - there's even a very handy free version.

If EA Sports will stay on this path and plans to provide a story next year, this mode should be improved. It's already a great foundation for the future, though not without flaws. Fortunately, the new engine, other, proven and reliable modes, with quick and rewarding gameplay, make this year's FIFA a really good one.

Playground Games reminds us once again that a car can be nothing more than a huge, expensive toy. Breaking the law in the Australian outback and building a great festival is a lot of fun - the newest Forza Horizon is the best one yet.

Pro Evolution Soccer is one step closer to perfection. Gameplay in PES 2017 is fantastic and engaging, but many of the elements not directly related to kicking the ball need more attention, especially licenses and interface. Fortunately, Konami is on the right path.

ReCore is a decent game and your time spent with it is not lost - not all of it, that's for sure. Armature Studio had some interesting ideas for a title that should've been shorter, more varied and with fewer cheap tricks to extend the last couple of levels.

Mother Russia Bleeds provides the same emotions as classic beat 'em ups in days of yore, but is not without similar issues and problems. For one, the game really needs an online mode.

Redout delights with its fast, fluid pace and an incredible sense of speed. It's a great choice for perfectionists: although the game is very demanding and can make you gnash your teeth, every perfect lap is extremely satisfying.

In the era of Galactic Civilizations 3 and Stellaris, Master of Orion seems to go the easy and safe route: it's devoid of glaring errors, but also shallow. It can only be recommended for people new to the 4X strategy genre.

Worms W.M.D remains faithful to the classics. This is key evidence that this series does not require 3D graphics or changes to the core concepts. Minor fixes and well-integrated innovations are enough to once again drag you in for countless hours.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided keeps you engaged and touches on some serious issues, with great combination of stealth and action to boot. No Man's Sky fulfills its basic function, offering impressive exploration of endless planets, with plenty of amazing vistas and exciting discoveries. Some other elements - like combat, survival or inventory management - are poorly thought-out though, which lessens the overall experience. Hello Games' ambitious title is great for short trips and relaxing sightseeing, not extensive all-nighters.
