Mafia, when compared to other Xbox games, is still one hot little package, but compared to itself, it leaves a little to be desired.

It's been somewhat updated but not all of the updates are better than the original. Still, you absolutely have to get Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes if you haven't played the original - no question.

It's just a good-old fashioned shooter that's heavy on the action and light on story or depth.

It's one of the most derivative games I've ever played. You name a puzzle game where the object is to eliminate shapes, colors or other forms by selective grouping and you are guaranteed to find some element of that game in Super Collapse II...Not to say that Super Collapse II is a bad game.

The game has its own style and would have been a contender if the gameplay was more refined. Online play is available but it's not fully supported.

For under twenty bucks, it's the best racing game, ever, in its price range. The gameplay is balanced in such a way that the game feels like a sim but is as easy to control as an arcade racer.

There's less action but more strategy. It's a nice change of format and one that is entirely addicting.

High camp, and I'm not so sure it's supposed to be...While you won't find anything above and beyond than what you've already experienced in countless first person shooters, DMH is definitely playable and enjoyable without being remotely innovative.

I like the way that you begin the game with only a few tricks and work your way up. It gives you time to get comfortable with your bike. Eventually you will end up with more than 100 moves.

SCEI didn't scrimp on the graphics. The space station/hotel is realistic in every sense of the word from the posh guest areas to the industrial back rooms composed of cold, ribbed metallic corridors.

Don't expect it to be packed with excitement from start to finish since much of the gameplay is repetitive, but there are some decent moments which make wading through the lean times worthwhile - almost.

The videogame resembles the cartoon so well that I instinctively reach for the remote to change the channel. Hey, look, there's a great show on the making of mop handles.

Truth be told, the entire game consists of pointing and clicking your way up a miniature mountain slope. The only effort required is staying awake. This game is so void of stimulation that it should be recommended for insomniacs.

One of the most challengingly beautiful game experiences I've had to date and it's only fault is a camera that makes things unnecessarily difficult in approximately 5% of the game.

The fact you need to adjust where you're sitting on the bike during a race adds to creating a real MX racing experience. Anyone who enjoys MX games will enjoy this one.

I like the card game and find it addicting, but to me it's not really worthy of having an entire game created around it. I miss the RPG action. The turn-based card game gameplay would have made an interesting mode or mini-game. It's like making a main course out of the appetizer.

I don't care what your friend tells you, trust me, that awkward, cumbersome, electronic behemoth may look impressive but it will be collecting dust in a few short weeks. It's like having to pilot the space shuttle to make a cup of coffee.

With an overhauled tutorial, user-friendly interface and straightforward goals, this is easily the most accessible game in the series.

There is so much going on here, that by the end of the review I'm still stunned that it was only $19.99.

The game has a good sense of humor and makes reference to Pitfall and Pitfall 2. It's not a very long game but offers enough challenge to keep you busy for a few days.

It's like exhuming a dead relative only to find that he can't shake his state of decay or that rotting smell. Okay it's not that bad, but I couldn't resist a little tasteless metaphor.

Not only is it dripping with production values, not only are the action sequences intense and the control spot on, but it NEVER stops being fun. With the hefty amount of challenge and unlockables, replay value is also extremely high.

The bikes have a nice low end growl to them that is a pleasant departure from the typical mosquito-like buzz that is usually afforded them.

Both combat styles balance and carry each other making this game playable and even fun for the most part. Due to the relative ease of the gameplay and control system Rise to Honor will appeal mostly to beginners and casual gamers.

This game is a step in the right direction and while I feel it's the best one in the Winning Eleven series, I'm not so sure that casual gamers will find the new developments worthy of the purchase price.

One of this season's best rentals. It's a short, but fun, little game that captures the spirit of the anime series that it's based on.

It's a combination of role playing and real time strategy that goes together like chocolate and peanut butter. In other words, it not only works, but it tastes great too.

Nothing short of scintillating. Any developer that can breath life into a standard hack-and-slash, dungeon crawl style game has certainly got my attention.

Unless you're a masochist you might want to rent this one just to see if you have the skill or tenacity to make it to the end. It's not for everyone, but it's nothing that a few, choice, cheat codes couldn't tame.

It can be completed in one day or stretched out over a weekend, as long as you don't play through it again as the different characters.

Some of the menus have been streamlined and the new cards look great but other than that the game looks identical to last year's game.

Don't lose your patience with this game, otherwise you'll be missing out on some good, old-fashioned, nerd-approved fun.

Give it a rental but don't think that you have to have a lightgun. I've been playing this game for years without one and I'm not complaining.

The bottom line is that the gameplay of this FPS is no different than what's gone before it. The new features are decent but if you don't feel like you're playing "Unreal Championship," then you've probably never played it before.

Pokemon Colosseum doesn't go overboard with these new features however. It's probably the least amount of innovations and updates that a game can get away with and still call itself a new game.

If you're anything like me, you won't be able to play it for any length of time unless you've got something on your mind that you're concentrating on that is far removed from the game. It's perfect for zoning out.

As an expansion pack this isn't a new game but it throws you enough bones to begin construction of a medium-sized graveyard.

The bosses alone are worth the price of admission. You don't have to be Metroid fan to appreciate it - but after you play it, chances are you will be.

It will appeal to "Diablo" and "Zelda" fans alike. It's pace is well-balanced and the action-oriented nature of the gameplay will ensure that it appeals to a wide audience.

To be blunt, the problem with Joan is that it incorporates elements of three genres, action, RTS and RPG which are not very well blended. It's like a stew in which you can taste all of the ingredients individually.

Graphics notwithstanding, the developers have done a reasonably good job of replicating the hunting experience.

I can tell you right now that only those willing to devote a big chunk of their life to this game will reap any significant rewards from it. And by the looks of the few people online I would say that there's not too many gamers willing to devote massive amounts of time to such an experience.

This is a damn good shooter which offers lots of action and options including an engaging single-player mode and an online multi-player game with several modes to choose from.

It's a sharp looking game loaded with action from the get-go. The range of difficulty settings ensures that hardcore gamers will get the workout that they crave while remaining totally accessible to all but the most feeble of players.

Ultimately as fun as it is for a while it soon becomes apparent that the good times are short lived. It's a shallow arcade experience that doesn't venture beyond its restricted airspace.

There are a few technical glitches and overall the production suffers a bit but it can be an interesting romp for mystery lovers.

If you are familiar with the PC Mafia there isn't a lot here for you except a drop in graphics, resolution, frequent gameplay interruptions and longer load times. WIth that out of the way, PS2 owners who haven't already got a taste of the Cosa Nostra way of life might certainly enjoy this.

I know that some gamers will find the Xbox Live feature of this game irresistible. For them this game will be a great bargain.

A big round of disappointment will be had by all that play Monster Garage. Perhaps Jesse and his crew should try their hands at developing a videogame. It can't be much worse than this.

The combat system is much more refined and satisfying than previous efforts.

It seems as though the game tries too hard to grab your attention. Like an annoying child, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre forces you to comply by sheer redundancy.

The game employs what is known as "rag-doll physics." It's meant to replicate the way in which a human being's body reacts to an outside force such as car crash, explosion or bullet. The results are great. Bodies flail and fly with such accuracy that it's sure to put a smile on the lips of you sadistic little bastards out there.

An RPG that has been streamlined, and melded with an action game to bring you the finest elements in a hack-and-slash dungeon crawl. It's got just enough depth to hold your interest without all the mess and fuss associated with some RPGs.

I suggest the title of Auto Modellista be changed to "Auto Modellista: On Ice," since all the cars react as though they're being driven on a skating rink.

All that is Vegas is capture to great effect. I can almost smell the 35-cent hot dogs.

A weekend rental. On the easy level it should last no more than 12 hours. Weapons, health, auto aiming and leveled-up attributes are featured prominently throughout the game and made very simple to access and acquire.

Even though this game is better than the third one the series didn't live up to my expectations.

Combat has been simplified to having less depth than most new arcade games. Strategy and tactics have been reduced to using a more effective weapon against an enemy taking into account its shield, size or weaponry.

Delivers a fun, arcade experience if you can see past the urban graffiti...This game is trying to hard to be "NBA Street" but thankfully the perspective of the gameplay has not been overlooked.

Here's a game that almost accomplishes the impossible - it virtually embarrasses bowlers. And that's not an easy task given the mullet-loving, trailer-dwelling life forms that festoon the substratum of the high-glossed lanes.

It's not like being there, but Desert Storm offers us a glimpse into what modern warfare is like. Even though the most technologically advanced nation on the planet is taking on a third-world country, the dangers are still many and varied.

You can't fault a developer for trying something new with an old product but it does kind of feel as though Sonic is being thrown against many walls to see where he'll stick. Sonic Battle is not much more than a novelty.

The 3D world has too many technical flaws, most notably with the camera angles.

Only the very best of gamers will be able to complete this game in a day or two so my advice would be to purchase it if this is your style of game. CTSF rings in a New Year full of death and destruction - and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Not a perfect game but considering how much entertainment is jam- packed onto this disk, it's nothing short of remarkable. RPG lovers will be rewarded for their intellectual style of gaming with this title.

Not a good game. It's not as deep as "Cabela's Big Game Hunter" and believe it or not, it's not as challenging as "Sega Bass Fishing."

Eventually the battles begin to drag on. It becomes tedious work. Even the severed heads won't lift your spirits like they used to.

It's the careful blending of two closely-related genres that seems to work quite well. Unfortunately the game isn't polished enough overall which may be a deterrent to some gamers.

The simplified structure of the game should appeal to sports fans that have had until this time little or no interest in RPGs. The menus are easy enough to navigate; ultimately it's not unlike being able to move around at will the kind of stats you would encounter in a standard Franchise mode.

It looks great and plays good. Don't hesitate to get this version if you've felt at all left out in the cold by last year's Unreal 2. It's more than just a frag fest.

Once you get past the uber-violent novelty of killing innocent civilians with everything from Molotov cocktails to weapons of mass destruction, you'll find the gameplay rather repetitive and shallow.

The entire game looks better motionless if you want the truth. While the screenshots look great, you must keep in mind that as the scenery gets closer, it becomes a pixellated mess making it difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish where you're going.

In order to keep processing to a minimum, the camera is locked in a fixed position that keeps either of the two playable characters front and center at all times. When you come to levels that require jumping you can't look around to see where the next platform is.

A streamlined, somewhat reworked, version that captures the flavor of the real Max Payne but offers its own unique adventure.

Unfortunately the thing that matters the most, the gameplay, is seriously unbalanced resulting in a game that is all too easy at times and unnecessarily frustrating at others.

If you were freaked by the "Blair Witch Project" you will definitely find this scary. People with a more sophisticated imagination will get the most out of this game though there are some damn good shocks as well.

Just an average racer. It leans more to the arcade side as most of the vehicles are easy to control and upgrades are handled automatically. The five modes add some depth but they are just variations on a theme that's not so captivating to begin with.

While it may not be fair to say that if you've played one fighting game, you've played them all, I could probably say with certainty that if you've played more than a few fighting games you've played better ones than KOF 2000/2001.

Once you level-up as far as you can go (65), you've pretty much done and experienced all that you can. There are those that continue to hand around just to inflict serious damage on weaker players, but once they receive psychological help the game will be deserted.

The average gamer will probably lose interest in a couple of hours.

Turn off the sound and you'll enjoy yourself a lot more. Whether you rent this game or add it to your collection, you're guaranteed to have a ball with it. Pun intended.

If anything, this game proves that stealth doesn't have to be boring.

The atmosphere more than makes up for any shortcomings in the visual department. Communication with other players is easy and the sense of community is quite refreshing.

Full of narrow escapes, intelligent puzzles, great graphics and an engaging storyline, Broken Sword is like a good novel come to life on your Xbox.

Everything looks and sounds just as good as the animated series that it's based on.

The strategy runs deep in the game.

It isn't a bad game in and of itself but as a sequel it absolutely sucks.

It's all presented in a brilliant anime style that rivals any Saturday morning cartoon. If you like Viewtiful Joe there's a good indication you'll like this game though I'm not suggesting that it's similar in gameplay.

If you want to play a classic survival horror game the way it was originally meant to be played then you'll want to check out Resident Evil Code: Veronica X...Be warned that you're not getting anything new.

Few kids possess the capacity required to make sense of this scrambled, onscreen action in real time. It will just frustrate all those that play it except the odd MENSA member.

I would have had more fun gluing spray-painted macaroni to my ass than playing Mission Impossible: Operation Surma on the GBA.

It faithfully captures the license and delivers a solid action/stealth game that will have many gamers confessing they "had no idea the game was that good". It IS that good.

It's a smart game but it's not overly difficult offering just the perfect blend of challenge and non-stop action. You can finish it in a weekend but you can expect to spend a lot more time with it if you want to exercise all the various options.

The cutscenes are hilarious. They are rude, crude and to some, maybe even a little shocking.

A relatively short, but sweet, action adventure game that is packed with a compelling story, intense gameplay and excellent production values in both the audio and visual department... A lot less about action than it is about adventure.

It plays by its own rules and does so virtually flawlessly. The four-player mode guarantees plenty of replay value.

The 3D graphics on the Cube are great but the limited vision is a bit annoying. Graphically and sound-wise, Pac-Man Vs is no Halo but it captures the original game perfectly.

It's guaranteed to bring about a few laughs but more than anything, it's entertaining. If we at CCCP developed a game show, it probably would be along the lines of You Don't Know Jack.
