Underground is definitely a step in the right direction and a much needed shot in the arm for the series, but as all things new, it suffers from a bit of growing pains here and there.

Unfortunately there is nothing memorable about this game. The characters are one-dimensional and the story runs its course in about five hours - but the game just keeps going and going and going. The title of the game should be changed to Escape From the Center of this Game.

The only real wrench in the works is the loose control system which makes this purple dragon a little more difficult to control than need be.

A solid engine, great level designs and good graphics. It's hard to imagine how this game could be improved upon.

Hands down this is an excellent program. It's much more than a game and that's why I'm referring to it as a program. Every karaoke and potential karaoke singer should get this. Not only is it a lot of fun but it's one of the best ways to improve one's vocal prowess.

The motivation that drives the movie is life - staying alive. Should the game have adopted a one-life-only policy, meaning that if you're killed it's game over, it would immediately result in more tension.

The music is deliciously gothic. Disembodied moans, shrieks and groans emanate from your speakers and float around the room. The vibe is definitely chilling.

Compared to other action games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has little to offer other than a trip down memory lane.

I've scored it low in the Overall category simply because it's a relatively short game and some of the cutscenes aren't all that great. Not to mention that the premise is anything but innovative.

It's not as spine chilling as "Resident Evil," it's a little less bleak and gritty but it manages to serve up some moments reminiscent of Spielberg.

There's nothing that can take away the classic status of Super Mario Bros. 3. The game was released almost 15 years ago and is a platform game so unique and perfectly crafted that games today will still find themselves compared to it.

The game is relatively easy to play but due more in part to the excellent control layout than the gameplay design.

Overall the game plays like it's on a permanent cheat code, which may not be a bad thing to some of our little cheaters out there. Lots of enemies will attempt to overwhelm you but they all have basic moves and very little intelligence making them easy to decimate.

It offers something for everyone and while it is harder, the game grows with the player.

About as classy as a "KerPOW!" sound effect and sadly never elevates itself beyond basic Bat-Shtick.

It does have its charm but it's neither a great game to play nor is it any real shakes to look at.

The series has never been popular for its graphics but everything looks good here on the GBA. The rooms are colorful, the sprites are large and the menus are easy to read.

Mega Man X7 isn't even properly dubbed in English. I just can't handle that. What's up with such poor translations and acting? The story is so swollen in heady detail that it virtually detaches itself from the actual gameplay.

Extremely colorful and detailed, the environments and character models will make you think you're playing an Xbox game - and an excellent Xbox game at that. The environments are huge and imaginative.

With gigantic fighting robots and fast-paced, streamlined, arcade action, Virtual-On Marz makes the perfect game for beginners and vets alike looking for some straight-ahead mindless fun.

Underneath it all is nothing. The fighting engine is so basic that it faces competition from GBA games. All you have to do is button mash the attack button and you're more than likely to win the match.

As far as a sequel goes, Zero 2 contains the absolute least amount of improvements for me to consider it a good sequel. It's not great, and I'm sure Capcom knows that. There's nothing here that would cause anyone to believe this game was innovative.

I wish they would have made the game longer and included more options. It's the type of game that is great for releasing some tension and to have some fun.

A fun and straightforward game that takes its inspiration from the Disney ride and thankfully not from the Eddie Murphy movie of the same name.

This game isn't innovation in any way but instead takes what it considers to be some of the best elements of other games and rolls it into one package - basically the same way Quentin Tarentino patches together his movies.

I found it cliché, repetitive and not very much fun.

It's feels like you're playing in a mall display of a replica of the movie set. Camera angles need constant attention as they seldom reset to the most appropriate view. There's just not enough to like about this game.

Although the game is short and doesn't tell the story properly, it's still an enjoyable experience. Technically the mechanics are sound and while the gameplay may not be totally original, it's varied.

Attempts to span the chasm between wrestling and fighting but it should have taken it further to the fighting side since that's the direction it heads in.

While I agree the game may not be as deep as other games that fit this style, it still is a fun game. It also has some intense action. It's how you decide to play it that will really decide if you get the full value the game has to offer.

They made the areas interactive and while it is cool to be able to use and destroy the areas you're fighting in, somewhere along the way they seemed to pass the reality factor of the whole theme the game was based on.

It would make a good intro for gamers looking to get into RTS games but it's not the best of the bunch when it comes to shooting and action.

The duo appears on a next-gen console, fully rendered in digital animation - and looking somewhat the worst for it. Mix in some average platform gameplay elements and you have a disappointing game.

Quite simply, VJ is a Tour de Force of style meets substance and succeeds on every level.

So much of this game is derived from Pokemon that it's shameless.

Freedom Fighters is one of the most engrossing action games on the market today and if you think the concept is cool, wait until you are in the thick of battle. The length may be an issue, but as I've been told, it's not the length it's how you use it.

Simply put, Halo doesn't seem to know what it needs to run smoothly. The original ran at a scant 480 X 640 resolution to suit your TV. Even with a monster video card in your PC, 512MB of RAM and a 2400+GHz going for it, higher resolutions will give you stutter, slowdown and sometimes blow you right out of the game.

In some respects it's almost too easy, but if you push your luck too far you'll get your ass kicked right out from under you. There's a delicate balance that one must attain to ride the crest of glory all the way to the end.

A major difference in this game is that there is no time limit. You can take as long as like to wrap up the case. This time the story is more involved and convoluted. It's not as straightforward as it seems at first.

It's the most personal and entertaining game of the Defender of the Crown series so it warrants a play just don't bother to give it a permanent home on your shelf.

With an eight-player tournament mode to look forward to after the single-player mode you're bound to get your money's worth out of this sequel.

Shows the intricate side of warfare and all the frustration that goes with such as undertaking.

It looks bad, it plays bad, it's unoriginal, it has no replay value and it's too short. Maybe it's a good thing it's not that long of a game. You can play it through in an afternoon.

Slot car racing is bloody boring enough without have to replicate it in a videogame. What's next? Snail racing?... It stinks.

Midway might have the best game out there if you base the game on fun and action alone. The game still has that feel right out of the movie "Slap Shot" with the mix of the more realistic hockey of the other guys.

I would recommend it to beginners and those weaned on shooters that might be looking for something a little different that doesn't have a steep learning curve.

Captures the excitement of hockey in such a way that it will appeal to newbies while acting as a refreshing change for fanatics that are hung up on some of the sims out there.

Faced with the removal of all the great production this GBA version highlights the game's weakest aspect - the gameplay. It's like seeing Madonna without her makeup.

The game is low res all the way. The only saving grace is the engine which is exceptionally well designed. Controls are responsive and the animation is great.

It makes a great arcade-style game but it can't touch any of the basketball sims. It still comes up a little short on modes and options even when compared to games such as "NBA Street" but it does have its place.

I would hesitate to say that this game has more depth. It's more difficult but the strategy is still the same as the original. Once you figure out what all the new variables do, you'll think you're still playing the original game.

The tunes are crisp and the visuals are interesting to watch from a spectator standpoint; they don't distract from the dance symbols.

The game could have been "padded" to be about twice as long but the results would have been an inconsistent game. This way the game is short and sweet and top drawer all the way.

Gameplay is everything and wondering around with a giant egg in your possession is anything but fun.

EA needs to be commended for turning videogame golf into it's own sport, completely separate from the real thing...If you want the most advanced golf game available you'll want this one.

The level of detail is amazing, although the overall quality of the game will be determined by your PC's capabilities. It's relatively easy to play but the more you get into it the more depth will reveal itself.

Bigger, better, more realistic and more difficult than Command & Conquer: Generals, Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour, is the expansion pack that keeps on giving.

It's impossible not to have a good time with this game unless you're just into NASCAR or blasting people's heads off.

Everything that has been revamped makes me look forward to next year's version and see if they can bring it all together.

NHL 2004 has gone the distance and has surpassed the 2003 version by leaps and bounds.

If you've dreamed of becoming a Jedi Knight endowed with the powers of the Force and equipped with a lightsaber or two, you're going to think you've died and gone to Tatoonie.

What at first hints to lots of gameplay depth turns out to be a waste of time as the game reveals itself to be a basic action adventure game with platform and shooter elements. For what it is it's not bad but it's really nothing special.

The quintessential arcade-style RPG. Anyone can play it anytime. Some may say this game has training wheels but I like to think they're hooked up to a wheelie bar on a Harley.

It's quite a phenomonal take on the sport. Where most developers spend their time making sure their physics engine, models and sound effects accurately portray vehicles driving extremely fast, EA Tiburon has already accomplished this years ago, so instead they focused on the personality of the sport and it makes all the difference.

It can be a little slow going at times but that's because the focus is on real time strategy. The whole game is about conflict, but it goes about it in a more sophisticated way.

The lack of realism, physics, graphics and good level designs would make any gamer pine for the Super Nintendo just to play a decent game for a while.

While it does the multi-player thing better than most games, the single-player mode is nothing more than a single-player version of the multi-player mode. There's no story, no strategy and really nothing that you could call innovative.

You won't be disappointed with a purchase of this game unless you live underground or in a perpetually overcast environment like England or Vancouver in the winter.

One of the worst party games ever invented.

In an effort to be different from the last couple of games, it trips all over itself trying too hard not to replicate any of the old gameplay elements. The results are unnatural and ultimately un-fun.

The game looks, plays, sounds and smells just like the real thing. It may not be long on replay value but this is one game that shouldn't be missed no how.

Lego is trying to change its image with the futuristic racing game, Drome Racers. It's like Barney doing a porn movie - but much less interesting.

It's one of those games that you will either really enjoy or think it just was not for you. In ending I will say that they are just about there in every way and any game that shows a major improvement is certainly worth a look!

The lack of depth may hurt overall sales but in my opinion it increases the fun ratio to equal that of a great, arcade racer.

Despite the repetitious nature of the game that elusive magic quality has been captured in TTT and you would be well advised to tap into its powers.

No multi-player, recycled levels and a relatively short game by any standards is reason enough not to own this game.

Unless you're a hopeless fan of the series and you're excited by the novelty of playing out an episode of the show during its classic phase, then I can't stop you. The rest of you should note that this is just an average game with very few highlights.

New features, new modes, tons of options, great control and online play makes this the hockey game that others will be compared to.

It's a decent little game but without a four-player mode it's only half as fun as it could be.

It's trial by fire as there is no in-depth tutorial or training mode. Just get in the game and try to stay alive, that's the best advice I can give you.

It's like the programmers are making this story up as they go. It's convoluted. Each game is about 20-hours long which is about half as long as a standard RPG. So far the 60 hours could have easily been edited to fit into one game and I have little doubt that the last game could be squeezed in as well.

If there's a better game for beginners or intermediate virtual fighter pilots out there that want to have a lot of fun flying the unfriendly skies, I haven't heard about it.

Although the driving engine isn't bad at all, the automatic targetting system is more than a little chaotic and clunky.

The best Hockey game I have played so far. I love hockey and ESPN gave me the feel of what has been missing in past hockey games. The feeling of total control and not having the computer interfere with the game.

P.N. 03 won't keep anyone interested for more than a couple of hours. The longer you continue to enjoy the game after that is directly proportional to the time you spent watching reality TV shows.

This expansion pack adds new races, a new story, new missions and side quests, new weapons and armor, Perks and a totally overhauled engine with graphics that have to be seen to be believed... So incredible are the environments that even the wastelands look fantastic.

Players with mid-level rankings will fare the best in this game, though there are some features which are bound to appeal to the hardcore player that will do anything not to return to the real world.

A bit of a disjoined collage of gameplay elements. One must muddle through seemingly endless bits of stats, rules, and micromanagement but the end result is a very deep game that should keep you and another pal busy for months.

Ultimately the issue I have with XIX is one of inconsistency. For one thing the game has many modes and match types, enough to satisfy any hardcore gamer, but the fighting engine and the AI drag the overall enjoyment level of the game down significantly.

It's not enough to pretend anymore. If you've played the last three games then you've basically played this one.

If you're looking for a solid football game that pulls you right in the action, ESPN Football will do exactly that. If you're looking for a football game that offers plenty of options and online features, you will find that as well. ESPN Football is one of the best sports games to come around in a long time!

Hands down this is the best child-oriented game I've ever had the pleasure of playing and that's because Disney Extreme Skate Adventure goes to great lengths NOT to insult the gamers intelligence and skills.

Put[s] the power of Tony Hawk in the hands of the least skilled of gamers. It's fun and easy with just the right balance of challenge to keep you motivated and interested for many fun sessions.

You'll notice that the Xbox version is the better of the bunch. All console versions are colorful and share the same characters and expansive environments but the Xbox just presents it better.

While it may sound like there's plenty of replay value here with the ability to play through it as two entirely different characters it's really just the same strategy game with the concept totally reversed.

As a sequel to Beyond the BattleBox, this game not only fails to stake new territory for the series but it refuses to move out of its parent's house.

About as average a motocross game as one could expect. It's not bad but it sure lacks magic of any kind.
