Saying United Offensive is just another expansion pack for just another FPS is like saying Hurricane Jeanne is just another hurricane.

Just about everything about this game is below par. The script is lame and does little to highlight the characters' personalities or the almost adult-oriented context of the comic book theme.

The controls are very responsive and combined with your superior strength in the single-player mode, makes it feel as though you're playing with some serious cheat codes up your butt.

Treyarch has managed to pull off the best movie to game adaptation yet as I've now played the game and seen the movie...If you've ever dreamed about fighting crime as the webhead, this game is your own personal genetically enhanced spider bite.

The main problem with WPC is that it's a piece of $#!+. Not only can you read the AI like a teleprompter but there's no online play should you (and believe me you will) crave some human interaction.

For a budget title Powerdrome certainly has plenty going for it. It has great graphics, smooth animation, nice particle effects such as spark and smoke and several modes including time trials, quick race, championship and multi-player modes both system link and online.

Joint Ops is a decent military-based shooter with a big gimmick. Frankly, it was interesting to see a hundred people online but the novelty is short lived.

Not only is the AI predictable, but the storyline is so linear that it's just an excuse to connect one mission to the next.

The dark atmospheric ambience combined with the four monster hunters and a slew of monsters gets to be a little much after a while. It's not only hard on the eyes with such a busy screen but the non-stop fighting gets to be a drag about half-way through the game.

Built on the core of a very solid pool game, Pool Paradise is a surreal and bizarre game that seems like it's capable of doing anything but taking the game of pool seriously.

There are some bugs which tend to drag it down to the border of un-playability. In some odd way I like the simplistic, old-school design with its pick-up-and-play controls, but I can't help thinking that it could have been so much more.
