As a game that balances so many forms of gameplay successfully, Carmen certainly earns my respect. For younger gamers (especially those with only an Xbox) this is a must buy.
-
Play MagazineWith a sparse Saturday-morning-cartoon look, the game can become a drag for the adult eye, but just like the best of those cartoons, a certain charm bubbles below the surface. [Jan 2004, p.65]
-
Worth your hard earned cash? Well, if youre a major fan of the television show and PC games, then no. If youre a gamer looking for sweet platforming action, then no.
-
Official Xbox MagazineMaybe little kids would like it. But do kids really want a game where you sneak up on dull robots because you're not allowed to kill anything? [Feb 2004, p.82]
-
Xbox Nation MagazineIt's not that Carmen is a failure - it just aims low in the first place. [Mar 2004, p.95]
-
A mediocre game across the board, offering nothing new or even remotely entertaining and instead putting you through the paces of Generic Platformer 101.
-
Cheat Code CentralFrom the gameplay to the graphics, this game screams budget title. It not only looks generic but it acts generic. The developers really missed the mark with this one.
