Its all about awesome control, physics, and gameplay. This is one pool game that has it all.
-
TotalGames.netPool Paradise confirms Archer Maclean's reputation as a man with his finger on the pulse of the snooker/pool genre. By combining a highly accurate and satisfying physics engine with the addictive world of gambling and the all-important storyline, his team have created a game that should appeal to a far wider market than your average pool/snooker title and it's only twenty notes. A winner.
-
Yet another fine pool simulator from Maclean; however how many of these do we need, and isn't popping down the pub always more fun???
-
In the greater scheme of things, this is not barrier-breaking software, but it is crisp, clean fun at a budget price.
-
It may not have a licence behind it, it doesn't feature online play, and it could do with a few zanier tables and quirks to match the presentation, but until somebody comes along with a game of pool that plays this well - and is this accessible - it's by far and away our clacker of choice.
-
Its puzzlingly addictive nature simply cannot be reasoned with, yet at the same time, it helps solidify the game as one of the best games of pool to come out on a console platform in many years.
