For fans of the franchise, it's not bad at all, but if anyone wants to get into Bleach through this product, I'd honestly recommend watching the anime on streaming platforms instead. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it's not aimed at the newer audience who just wants to have a good time with a fighting game.- Atomix

One of the major additions is the Diamond Quest mode, which is available as a section within Diamond Dynasty mode and appeals to rogue-like experiences, making it an addition that has every chance of remaining as a permanent mode in future installments and could even set a standard in sports video games. In parallel, technical and gameplay improvements such as the Ambush Hitting system and defensive upgrades add a layer of realism and strategy that deepens the gaming experience.- Atomix

While Assassin's Creed: Shadows won't be the salvation Ubisoft is hoping for, it's still a fun experience and one of the greatest games in the series in recent years, and that's what should matter at the end of the day. With nearly 60 hours of gameplay under my belt, I'm going to keep playing because this is an entertaining title that doesn't deserve to be the flop many expect, but it's not going to revolutionize the genre either.- Atomix

The best Wii U port to Nintendo Switch, as they not only brought the adventure over intact, but also took the time to consider those who had already played it and wanted a more polished product. Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune & Dunan Unification Wars is by no means perfect, as we've already explained throughout this review, however, it is a work that was undoubtedly done with taste and passion, fulfilling the complicated mission of bringing back these two RPGs of yesteryear. Who do we recommend it to? Well, I think that if you are a fan of this series, you will be more than happy with what is presented to us this time. I would also say that if you have never given it a chance, this is a truly unbeatable one, because in addition to the fact that you will be playing two brilliant representatives of this great genre, you will be able to feel again how special it was to enjoy any Konami production when the brand was at its best.- Atomix

Split Fiction is a game that tries to advance the studio’s formula while retaining the dynamism that made It Takes Two special, which it achieves by creating mechanics that are easy to understand and complex level design, but without forgetting the crazy ideas that are used in specific moments to make players laugh or give them a creative break. Although a deeper understanding of video games is necessary, everyone can appreciate what Hazelight Studios and Josef Fares have created, because, above all, Split Fiction is pure fun, and something that cannot be ignored this year.- Atomix

Monster Hunter Wilds is the best game in the series. While some fans may debate this, it's undeniable that the developers have created an experience that is accessible and retains the essence of the franchise. Its story, to the surprise of many, is captivating, and it's more than just an excuse to go out and hunt monsters, as it presents us with a specific journey with well-defined characters. Each encounter has a great weight in this adventure and you never feel like you're wasting your time. The progression is fantastic, and it's something I hope will be a constant in the future.- Atomix

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii isn't a perfect game, and I'd even say it falls short of Gaiden as a spin-off. Still, this is an experience that will delight all fans, especially those who have been waiting for a Majima-led adventure for a long time. However, if you're hoping for the next big chapter in the series, and a resolution to Kiryu and Ichiban's problems with the yakuza in Japan, you won't find that here. Instead, you'll find an adventure that reminds us that dreaming is the greatest treasure in this treasure chest we call life.- Atomix

Over the years, Obsidian Entertainment has been known for delivering some of the best experiences the medium has to offer, and with Avowed they have proven that they are still capable of doing just that. The story, while it has a couple of points that need to be fulfilled, offers enough freedom for the player to be able to create their own adventure, achieving a unique experience compared to others. The journey of the Envoy is entertaining, and the characters we meet along the way are memorable, to the point that surely more than one person will identify with Kai, Marius, Giatta or Yatzli.- Atomix

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is a great game. Firaxis’ work is presented as an extremely complex experience, and from a distance, it can be boring for more than one person. However, once you pay attention to it, you discover something addictive that gives you a shot of dopamine with each new concept you manage to understand. The title allows you to create your own story, and the way in which each civilization advances reacts in real time to your decisions. The way in which a society evolves is natural, and it gives you enough space to work like a book, or go crazy and present scenarios that are the dream of more than one.- Atomix

The big questions are: was Donkey Kong Country Returns HD necessary? Who would we recommend it to and who wouldn’t we? Well, considering that its previous versions simply don’t fit today’s standards anymore, I think it’s a good thing to have such an outstanding game on the comfort of a Switch, that doesn’t mean that we’re already talking about its third version. It’s a very easy recommendation for those who have never played it. If that’s your case, it should be among your priorities, yes, it’s that good. Things get complicated if you were able to play it on Wii, 3DS or both, since you’ll be receiving practically the same product. I never like to bring up the subject of price in these reviews, but I think it does play an important role here. Probably if it weren’t selling for the $60 it will be at launch, it would be a lot easier to tell you to go for it.- Atomix

BioWare knows its business well and for Dragon Age: The Veilguard it made the decision not to risk too much and go for a safe path. As I already told you, the main objective was to deliver a very good representative of the acclaimed saga, which is achieved thanks to a spectacular combat system, a complex cycle of personal relationships, a great story and spectacular graphics. It is a reason to celebrate that one of the most recognized studios in the industry and that has had the hardest time in the last decade, can return to its ways to show a much friendlier face of what RPGs made in the West are. If you have a PlayStation VR2 sitting around collecting dust, now is the time to get it out. Metro Awakening is going to remind you why it's so special and, above all, different to play with one of these headsets and its futuristic controls. Vertigo Games played it safe with tried-and-true elements from any VR FPS, but it knew how to intrigue in a great way what makes the saga it's representing so special and beloved with a completely new title that adds to its intricate lore. Now, I couldn't tell you that this game is a reason to run out and buy Sony's device, but it is one that contributes to the small offer of titles it has, not to mention that we're talking about a new Metro, something that hasn't happened since 2019 with the sensational Metro Exodus.- Atomix

Leikir Studio's work offers us a good combination of the classic elements of Metal Slug and the strategic approach of a tactical RPG. The roguelike system allows for experimentation to be essential, and the progression makes this adventure as long or short as you want it to be. Two contrasting ideas merge in a way that seemed impossible, and the end result is fun. However, the game's performance is terrible. It's a bad joke to have to wait after doing something as simple as moving a unit. While it is true that Metal Slug Tactics is a good game, it is likely that many will not see it that way after witnessing its terrible performance, and will pass up one of the most fun games of the year.- Atomix

Thanks to an impressive respect for the game's original vision while also finding areas for improvement to modernize a masterpiece that's more than 20 years old, we can say that the Silent Hill 2 remake not only meets expectations, but far exceeds them and makes the name Bloober Team take on a new meaning after all the doubts that surrounded it. The combat system doesn't present anything completely new, but everything it does offer is well done. Who is Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for? At the outset I would tell you that if for this or that reason you skipped Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon on the 3DS, now is an unbeatable opportunity to enter its incredible world. Ignore any noise that may be around you. The game is excellent. In case you have played the original game and you are one of those who did not like it, here you will find practically the same experience, which, obviously, is great news for those who did appreciate it, because I assure you that You will have another great time with this proposal that shines brightly thanks to all its charisma, graphics and sound, as well as a super outstanding level design and puzzles that, of course, show the best side of Next Level Games.- Atomix

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble is a decent installment of the franchise, the return that perhaps classic fans of the franchise were looking for, given that it doesn't take much risk in terms of mechanics. Certainly, this part is not negative, after all it is fun to play, especially if done in company.- Atomix

The star here is the Shadow Realm. The way this map is built plays very well with its limitations, creating a layered world that takes exploration to a new level for the series. Traveling through this open world is extremely satisfying and gives us so many options that it can even be overwhelming for some people, but at the same time it gives rise to an experience that only Tears of the Kingdom had achieved in recent years. Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion that no one should miss, and a solid candidate for the best of the year.- Atomix

Just as it was in 2021, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is positioned as a must-see game, and something that JRPG fans have to play no matter what, even in a year where this genre has not stopped giving us some of its best modern exponents.- Atomix

Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door for Switch is practically the same classic that appeared 20 years ago on Gamecube, without alterations that feel great in terms of gameplay. However, that is not bad at all, in fact the phrase “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” applies very well here, as the magic that many of us experienced in our youth is preserved.- Atomix

AAA video game development is in the middle of a serious crisis and I think Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is proof of this. Having been in development for almost seven years tells us that for every year, an hour of gameplay was built. It's crazy. Ninja Theory is delivering a very good product that does justice to the name it bears, but in more than one section, it does leave things to be desired, especially in what has to do with its scope and own ambitions. The use of Unreal 5 is spectacular, but I wonder if going for this technology that is just beginning, did not end up affecting the game, since it is also worth remembering that after being bought by Xbox in 2018, the British studio grew to more than 100 employees; That is to say, we are no longer talking about a small production, far from it.- Atomix

The puzzles that Animal Well presents us are challenging enough, but at no point do they feel impossible. The level design guides us little by little, and the way in which each challenge is resolved is through experimentation. Talking about Animal Well can be a disservice to all those who wish to enter this world. My biggest recommendation is: play Animal Well. This is a magical experience that will stay in the minds of all who give it a chance, and I can't wait to see what's next for its developer.- Atomix

Final Fantasy XVI is a fantastic game from start to finish, which manages to combine the classic structure of the series with a combat system focused on action and customization. The Rising Tide is the perfect complement to this experience, and although this marks the end of this chapter in the history of one of my favorite video game series, I can't wait to see how Square Enix takes everything that worked here and expands these concepts in Final Fantasy XVII, or in a sequel to Clive and Joshua's adventure.- Atomix

Definitely not the perfect job was done in terms of gameplay, but at least it is a good tribute to the original work and therefore, to the author, who unfortunately was not able to see the finished project. So, if you were looking for something different and with a concept that is not just about fighting, it is very possible that you will find this game fun with the good customization options on vehicles.- Atomix

Stellar Blade has great merit when we see it from a production point of view and as Shift Up's letter of introduction to the international market. As an exclusive to the PlayStation 5, it lets us see that the industry is willing to expand and show us the AAA proposals that other regions have for us. Despite its positive points, the title offers us a generic story and gameplay mechanics that lack depth, although the presentation and production levels are impressive.- Atomix

The King of Fighters XIII: Global Match is a good port of a game, with which you can train to emulate the exploits of BALA, Violent Kain, Huevo, Romance, Khanibalito, Tokido, XiaoHai or MadKOF. Features interesting challenges that test the player's skills with control. It all culminates in sections that, despite being short, manage to make a great impression. Unfortunately, it all ended too soon. Just when you think you're just getting started, the end credits roll, disappointing and infuriating the player. Although there is an element of replayability, it is not strong enough. I really hope that Ahr Ech is already working on Pepper Grinders 2, because it's unfair that such a good experience ends so quickly.- Atomix

If you are a fan of the first video game, you definitely have to try it, because as I already said, it expands the experience in terms of mechanics and also with a much larger map. Contra: Operation Galuga is a nice return to the traditional formula of the series, which fulfills the wishes of the fans. Although at the moment we do not know what will happen, I hope that WayForward manages to take the reins of the series in the future, and then give us a similar work, but focused on The Alien Wars and Hard Corps, and regardless of whether they expand the concepts that we see here present, or choose to continue on a safe path, I'm sure I won't miss the Contra unit's next big mission.- Atomix

The gameplay and systems that Unicorn Overlord presents to us are some of the best the genre has for us today. The customization, synergy, real-time combat, and exploration are addictive, and you always want to keep going, no matter how many hours of the day have passed. Each element works in harmony to deliver an experience that has been refined to near perfection. There is no doubt, Vanillaware has given us one of the best video games of 2024, and although it is likely that many will overlook this work, all those who give it a chance will find a tactical JRPG that manages to demonstrate the magic of this genre. , and the talent of this specular studio.- Atomix

One of the best stories the medium has ever seen, memorable characters that really matter, a refined combat system that is amplified with great new ideas, living open worlds that are constantly surprising you and of course, an authentic audiovisual presentation. scream, make Final Fantasy VII Rebirth not only the most serious candidate to win the Game of the Year title in 2024, but also one of the most outstanding representatives of its genre in all of history. No, I'm not exaggerating. We are facing one of the best action RPGs of this wonderful form of entertainment, which of course is saying a lot if one considers everything that has been done in the past. Square Enix has hit a home run that even left the stadium and, for its part, the PS5 scores a new exclusive that undoubtedly cures what Sony's own internal studios are not doing.- Atomix

Persona 3 Reload is the game that all fans of the series have been waiting for since Persona 5 Royal.
