Life is Strange: Reunion stands out as a solid and coherent contribution to the saga, functioning both as an emotional conclusion to a stage and as a reaffirmation of the narrative values that have defined the franchise since its inception.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is a very interesting package. This version offers a short but entertaining expansion for the single-player campaign. The Koopaling levels are great fun and play wonderfully with the core mechanics of the main experience to provide challenges that everyone will love. At the same time, we shouldn't forget that many players will likely be venturing into the Flower Kingdom for the first time—which also means they will be encountering one of the Italian plumber's very best games.

Milestone has once again demonstrated its mastery of the genre. While the public's attention may be elsewhere at the moment, this experience shouldn't be overlooked. Screamer has become one of my favorite games of the year, and something that will surely be fondly remembered in the future.

Unfortunately, Scott Pilgrim EX is too simplistic. While Tribute Games clearly aimed to create an experience worthy of the Super Nintendo, their approach to the world falls short, and a more traditional structure with linear levels would have worked better. It's not the studio's worst work, but with so many outstanding games, one had to be at the bottom of the list, and it's rather sad that this is the case for Scott and Ramona's latest adventure.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake surpasses Tecmo’s classic original in many aspects, but precisely because of that desire to be better than the game it is based on, it runs into issues we would have loved not to see—particularly the changes at the combat system level and the somewhat unstable performance it shows on consoles. It features several interesting game modes, such as special matches, tower climbing, and classic singles and doubles cups, providing plenty of replayability. The only problem, I think, is the story mode, as it's frustrating that it has the potential to be much longer and then ends just as it reaches its climax. If you're a fan of the plumber-with-rackets franchise, I have to tell you that you're going to have a great time, similar to what happened with Aces a few years ago on the original Switch. It's the ideal game for gatherings with friends, but paying AAA price for it is something to think twice about, because yes, it costs $70.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road marks a triumphant return for one of Level-5's most beloved series. With excellent presentation, a robust story mode, and content for hundreds of hours of gameplay across its other modes.

While it has a few minor flaws, its strengths are undeniable, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion stands out as an experience that no Marvel or beat 'em up fan can afford to miss. While its shooting system is traditional, The Outer Worlds 2 shines when it comes to customization and role-playing. Each confrontation has multiple approaches, and it's always interesting to find less obvious routes, all depending on your style and goals. While The Outer Worlds 2 doesn't revolutionize the genre, it does offer a first-class experience that all fans of these experiences can't afford to miss, even if the end result isn't as impressive as Avowed.

If you've never given the original game a chance, now's the time to jump into the most frenetic battles in the iconic garden. While it's not perfect, it at least delivers on the entertainment factor.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a hugely important game for the series. The game experiments with its structure and combat, and while I don't think everything we see here will be part of Generation 10, it's likely some ideas will be reworked or expanded upon in the next Legends installment. No, it's not a perfect game, but it's still a lot of fun that makes it clear that Pokémon still has enough energy to keep players engaged for years to come.

Battlefield 6 is a highly recommended experience for both veterans who yearn for the days of Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3, and for those who want to venture into the shooter genre with a tactical, spectacular and accessible proposal.

Almost out of nowhere, this small group of Australians returns to deliver one of the most special video games I have played in a long time at a price that still sounds ridiculous to many, precisely when the conversation on this matter has taken on very intense overtones due to the sustained rise in the price of these products.

After the Silent Hill 2 remake, everyone was worried about whether Bloober Team had what it took to shine with a completely original property. The end result is something that will likely be forgotten this year, but with a little luck, it can be remembered in an interesting way in the future.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is one of the bests roguelikes out there. Evil Empire lived to the expectations after the huge success of something like Dead Cells.

Is a game that should be considered a must-have for those who have already tried the original version, or even for new players. It's one of the best platformers for Nintendo consoles in recent years and a necessary evolution for the franchise.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is one of the best games of the year. There's no doubt about it. Lizardcube are geniuses, and they've proven that any SEGA franchise has the potential to make a spectacular comeback, as long as it's in their hands. So, the only question remains: when will they give Golden Axe the same treatment?

The million-dollar question is: Is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater better than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater? There's no clear answer, and everyone will have a different conclusion. At the end of the day, Konami and Virtuos' remake doesn't replace the original, which is currently available in the Master Collection, and it does a very superficial job of justifying its existence beyond reviving interest in the series and generating money. The title leaves something to be desired, but—and this is the main dilemma—this remains one of the best games in history, but one of the least interesting remakes in recent years.

If the developers have the opportunity to create a sequel, I'm sure they'll take everything that worked in this title and expand on it to deliver an experience that meets the goals the team surely had for this title.

Featuring spectacular gameplay full of innovative ideas and innovative gameplay supported by truly exhilarating controls and, of course, a level design that blew our minds at every turn, Donkey Kong Bananza once again sets a very high standard for all games in the genre and, in the process, returns the iconic gorilla to a privileged position thanks to the brand that saw its birth so many years ago. The experience is rounded out by a simply spectacular audiovisual presentation. It's more than obvious that if you recently got a Switch 2 a month ago, or even recently, this game must be your top priority. You really can't imagine the magical adventure, full of memorable moments, that awaits you.

While there’s clearly an issue with preservation, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is still a great package, one that those who grew up with the GameCube and PlayStation 2 titles likely won’t appreciate much, but everyone who got into the series with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is sure to love, and hopefully, it will lead to a whole new installment.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a game different enough for those who enjoyed the 2019 installment to admire the evolution that Kojima Productions presents this time around. However, those who didn't connect with the PS4 title will hardly be convinced by what the sequel has in store for us, and that's okay. As spectacular as this game is, it will still divide the community and, like any good work of art, will spark conversations of all kinds. Hideo Kojima has done it once: Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is one of the best experiences of the current generation, and something that defines video games as more than just entertainment. It's a message for today's world, a love letter to the medium, and an exploration of our capacity to lend a helping hand to someone in need.

While some of the improvements and changes that Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army introduces to its gameplay make combat simpler than it should be, leaving aside some of the characteristic elements of the original installment and the Megami Tensei series, it is also true that many of its changes are positive, since they make the experience more accessible to today's audiences.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster is a great experience. The original was phenomenal, and everything the remaster adds and changes usually works in its favor. I just hope this means Bravely Second will get the same treatment, or that Bravely Third is even in development.

What I'm trying to say is that if you have the slightest interest in all the technical aspects of how a modern video game console works, you should have this software among your priorities. The same is true if you're especially enthusiastic about everything related to Nintendo itself.

If you've tried the 3DS version, I'd say don't wait any longer and pick it up on any of the platforms where it's available, as you're likely to get hooked on its fantastic simplicity. Meanwhile, if you didn't get to play the first one, but this kind of RPG is more your thing, I also recommend it. I swear you'll become a fan.

While F1 25 doesn't represent a revolution within the franchise, it does consolidate and refine key elements, ensuring that fans of the series enjoy a more polished and immersive experience.

However, if you don't fall into that group, Elden Ring Nightreign likely isn't for you. If you've never tried the original, I think this version could be a perfect choice, as it's an entertaining game from Bend Studio, and you'd be contributing to a possible sequel. Likewise, if you tried it years ago, you might be convinced by the number of additions they've added.

In an industry constantly striving to be exceptional and driven by the desire to become the next big thing, Compulsion Games rejects any pretense of doing so, and it's admirable that they're taking this path, but at the same time, the lack of ambition leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. South of Midnight isn't bad, but it's hard to think of anything that makes it interesting.

Monster Hunter Wilds is the best game in the series. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii isn't a perfect game, and I'd even say it falls short of Gaiden as a spin-off. Still, this is an experience that will delight all fans, especially those who have been waiting for a Majima-led adventure for a long time. However, if you're hoping for the next big chapter in the series, and a resolution to Kiryu and Ichiban's problems with the yakuza in Japan, you won't find that here. Instead, you'll find an adventure that reminds us that dreaming is the greatest treasure in this treasure chest we call life.

Over the years, Obsidian Entertainment has been known for delivering some of the best experiences the medium has to offer, and with Avowed they have proven that they are still capable of doing just that. The story, while it has a couple of points that need to be fulfilled, offers enough freedom for the player to be able to create their own adventure, achieving a unique experience compared to others. The journey of the Envoy is entertaining, and the characters we meet along the way are memorable, to the point that surely more than one person will identify with Kai, Marius, Giatta or Yatzli.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a very complete title, as it has a large number of missions to complete, tasks to discover and two maps that make the first installment fall short. Add to that a challenging difficulty that may be to the liking of those who demand a lot from these games.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is a great game. Firaxis’ work is presented as an extremely complex experience, and from a distance, it can be boring for more than one person. However, once you pay attention to it, you discover something addictive that gives you a shot of dopamine with each new concept you manage to understand. The title allows you to create your own story, and the way in which each civilization advances reacts in real time to your decisions. The way in which a society evolves is natural, and it gives you enough space to work like a book, or go crazy and present scenarios that are the dream of more than one.

In case Bandai Namco is thinking of revitalizing the series with a sequel, I hope this remaster is a test of what works and what needs to be updated further. Freedom Wars Remastered is a fine remaster that allows a new audience to experience one of the most beloved games on the PlayStation Vita.
