Overall, Tales of Xillia Remastered is a really enjoyable experience. If you haven't played the Tales of games before but are interested in them, Xillia is a great place to start, as it's story and mechanics are so fluid.

Tales of Xillia Remastered is one of my personal favourite Tales games so if you're a fellow fan, this version contains plenty of quality of life upgrades that definitely make it worth getting so you can spend even more time with Milla and Jude.

The base Xillia content is notable for its incredible combat and emotional story, and the additional quality of life content makes the game more palatable than ever before. If you’re wanting to relive Tales of Xillia or are down to experience it for the first time, Tales of Xillia Remastered will give you the nostalgia and emotional depth you need.

Tales of Xillia Remastered is a well-deserved second chance. This is a very traditional JRPG that, while not groundbreaking within the genre, is one of the most beloved in the Tales of series. This is the best way to enjoy it, thanks to its improved graphics and extensive quality-of-life options that allow you to customize the experience to the max.

Tales of Xillia is a well-deserved remaster that brings back one of the most beloved action RPGs of its time, now with substantial upgrades. Despite a few minor areas that could use improvement and a noticeable touch of AI implementation, it remains an engaging experience that keeps players hooked right up to the final credits.

Bandai Namco Entertainment proves that it wasn’t just first-time luck successfully bringing back classic Tales of games. Tales of Xillia Remastered delivers a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. And despite some of the structural faults that remain from when it was stuck on the PS3 for the last 14 years, and the new errors of overrelying on AI upscaling, it remains an excellent and faithful remaster. Newcomers and fans alike will find themselves enamoured with its engaging battle system, captivating cast of characters, and the sheer charm that it is packed with from top to bottom. What little faults there are do not hold this game back from being a great entry in the Tales Remastered Project.

Tales of Xillia Remastered brings back a key JRPG, but with a bare-bones upgrade. The combat still shines, yet the technical improvements are minimal and the visuals clearly betray their PS3 origins. A competent but unambitious return that works, though it never fully justifies its comeback.
