A ten for one of the best games in history. An eight and a half scoring only what this game is supposed to be as a remake of The Last of Us released 10 years ago. If it is your first approach to the saga, getting to this game directly on PS5 should be a unique experience. If you arrive from PS3 without having played the remastering you will notice a good jump. But if you come from PS4 and, especially from PS4 Pro, the change is not going to be so exaggerated.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the perfect sequel, the best and most well-rounded entry of the franchise. Stray is a game that has surprised me both for the good and for the bad. I expected a game that simply tried to distract us from its failures with the idea that it would be enough to put us in the shoes of an adorable cat. And it has been that, but also more things: my skepticism regarding him has ended up leaving as I saw more of the world he wants to present. In the end, it's ironic that the thing I've fallen least in love with in a game about controlling a cat was, precisely, controlling a cat.

It Takes Two improves on previous Hazelights games, setting aside cinematics and betting on 'a game that has been rebuilt onto a toy'. Gameplay-wise the game is excellent: it has a ton of variety, and it is as surprising as fun until the very end. Nevertheless, the story itself is unable to properly talk about love or relationships in any way, and so it kind of puts a dent on a work that would otherwise have been a must-play experience.

Monster Hunter Rise introduces several new gimmicks such as the wirebug and the Canyne that further improve the depth of the gameplay, becoming thus essential tools for future entries of the franchise. Monster Hunter Rise is, without a doubt, the definitive hunting experience in Nintendo Switch.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is a missed opportunity to make the series a recognized IP. Lots of bugs, mechanics copied from New Horizons poorly implemented, and a boring progression system. The video game is saved by its graphics and its relationship system.

In The Climb 2 the gameplay has been polished and the game has improved overall, and there are also new maps to provide further challenges, which works just fine mechanically as well as visually. Even if regarding new content there is not much to consider this a sequel, it still is an enjoyable experience for VR.

Harvest Moon: One World is the result of mixing a great fantasy adventure with farm managing elements. It is not a masterpiece as such, but it will be of the preference of both farming simulator lovers as well as those who want to get a first taste of the genre.

Bravely Default 2 works like clockwork, and just to witness the technique that the Brave / Default system requires it is worth giving one of the best JRPGs that exist on Nintendo Switch a shot.

Ys IX: With Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Falcom has once again created a really fun JRPG. In this installment of the saga, enough new features are added to make the game experience even better than the previous one, and despite being weighed down by its graphics, this aspect does not become a barrier that prevents us from enjoying everything that the game has to offer.

If Super Mario 3D World was a masterpiece for Wii U, in this Nintendo Switch’s version it is confirmed again. Not only that, but Bowser's Fury, the unreleased expansion that includes this adaptation, should materialize in a new iteration of Super Mario in the future because it has a lot to say. Two great games, at the price of one?

Tarsier Studios introduces Little Nightmares 2 with kind of a continuist approach yet still managing to surprise us. The game is backed by an improved narrative, exquisite gameplay and an excellent design that, altogether, portray an experience whose only flaw is but a battle system that does not merge well with the rest of the elements in play.

Control was already a good game before Ultimate Edition, with obvious negatives but impressive gameplay, but Control Ultimate Edition in PS5 is amazing: graphically it is in a whole other level, with a very stable performance at 60fps (if you set the performance mode) and a good resolution (1440p). However, the best part is how Control Ultimate Edition takes advantage of the DualSense features such as the adaptive triggers or the haptic feedback.

The Medium is a game with neither big flaws nor anything it really excels at. The gameplay is quite simple and the story kind of reaches a mid point in between a horror book and a socio-political discourse that do not really match. In the end, it all amounts to a mediocre game by Bloober Team that, most likely, will have been forgotten by the end of the year.

Cyberpunk 2077 retains its gunplay, open-worldness and its many elements that really make it stand out as an RPG. Nevertheless, its performance is abysmal, at times making it near unplayable. CD Projekt RED's fans do not deserve all of the crashes and bugs that Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with.

Panic Button pulls off yet another outstanding port for Nintendo Switch in Doom Eternal. This version comes to Nintendo Switch with a ton of technical consessions and sometimes way too many adaptations to make it work, but in the end it stands as an overall solid and rewarding experience.

A good Pokémon 'copy' that manages to pull off its own personality through the battle system but that, at the same time, carries an obvious problem: it really tries to be an MMORPG, yet in the end it stays as an open world with 'ghost' characters. Even so, overall it is a remarkable turn-based RPG that has a lot of potential. [Early Access Score = 75]

All of the improvements of the previous years have been completely forsaken in this version of the game. Thus, it merely carries some sort of historical value for European players (given that it had never released before in our territory), but there really is barely anything at all to take out from it.

Call of the Sea could be considered as a narrative puzzle game where the second element is much more relevant than the firs one; although both depend on each other to exist. With a series of puzzles that will take the player into a smooth back and forth between the frustrating process of looking for a solution to the problem and the satisfaction of finding it, Call of the Sea offers a proposal that follows the basic rules of the genre and It is topped off with beautiful art design and a plot that delivers what it promises.
