The main problem with PaRappa The Rapper is that it's pretty much a straight port of the PSOne original. Ten years is a long time in the gaming world, and what was once a trendy young thing throwing hot moves on the dance floor does, after all this time, now look a bit like a teacher at the school disco.- AceGamez

If only the developers had fixed that camera. If only they had thought harder about the puzzles. But they didn't and that leaves Genji as a disappointing experience overall.- AceGamez

Unfortunately, what has really painted my decision is the lack of 'next-gen' feel on this game, both graphically and in the gameplay.- AceGamez

Ultimate Spider-Man may look very stylish and visually capture the essence of a comic perfectly, but the gameplay feels like a swing backwards in almost every department.- AceGamez

It never reaches the heights of "SSX" or the pure finesse of "Project 8" though, leaving Downhill Jam stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place.- AceGamez

Despite the good points, playing Bandai's latest Digimon videogame incarnation disappoints on too many levels to be considered a must buy. The long-term replay value is quite limited, with the exception of the expensive two-player option.- AceGamez

Inconsistent both in its game world and its gameplay, Rogue Galaxy is a title with much potential that doesn't quite realise it fully.- AceGamez

When you think of retro gaming, this is a title that comes to mind for a lot of people - and apparently with good reason.- AceGamez

No one can deny that the game has got style - it oozes it from the menu screen and onto the football pitch in typical EA fashion - however, it lacks the depth and substance to make it appeal for more than a couple of hours, after which you may start to question the wisdom of your investment.- AceGamez

It's simple - the good parts are really very good, and worthy of a decent score. In fact, they are probably worth more. Unfortunately, though, the broken bits really are broken - both in terms of this game and the series as a whole.- AceGamez

It represents the cartoon remarkably well and with excellent authenticity. However, behind all the gloss and polish lurks the shadow of a game that shows little novelty in today's already swamped third person action adventure market.- AceGamez

If old school blasting is your bag then you'll find more than enough here to keep you entertained.- AceGamez

It gets a reasonable score because it's a reasonable game - but ask yourself, are you really willing to settle for just plain reasonable when there are so many awesome games out there?- AceGamez

Despite the dated gameplay, lack of online options and baffling storyline, the game manages to still be fun thanks in no small part to the charm that the Gundam license brings to the title.- AceGamez

While it certainly makes its mark visually, beneath the gorgeously moody stylised graphics and brutal gore, it's a pretty repetitive, by the numbers beat 'em up.- AceGamez

The recreation of Soho is excellent and whilst the missions vary from driving to on-foot and are generally well-designed, both have their fair share of technical problems that can really frustrate and significantly mar the gameplay.- AceGamez

I'm a huge fan of the original Puzzle Quest and really wanted to like Galactrix, but sadly the new features introduced actually ruin a lot of what made the original so great.- AceGamez

This game truly feels like a Bond game. Moreover, it makes you believe you are playing the legendary James Bond and few other Bond games achieve this. For this reason, I whole-heartedly recommend it to fans of the James Bond franchise. However, those looking for a high-quality game should exercise caution.- AceGamez

If you look past the fact that Jewel Master: Cradle of Rome isn't as polished as it should be then you've got a reasonably fun puzzle game that's good for short spurts of play, perfect for train rides on red steam engines or big red bus journeys to Redditch.- AceGamez

Much like many of the dubbed anime movies released in the early Nineties, with ridiculous voiceovers and outlandish Japanese humor hiding intriguing stories and characters, it will take a certain type of person to dig past the bad to reach the good - hence all the polarized reviews that God Hand has received.- AceGamez

Rag Doll Kung Fu is fun. It's a laugh. And isn't that what gaming is all about? Sure, it is a bit of a five-minute wonder, but there are worse ways to spend your gaming time.- AceGamez

It's most definitely a niche game though, so the casual player will probably only play it a few times before the monotony of doing the same thing over and over sinks in.- AceGamez

A harmless piece of entertainment that might amuse those who are fans of the film and too young to really steep themselves in something complicated, but it's too obtuse and repetitive for older players.- AceGamez

Robotron 2084 is true to the original and many regard that as one of the best games ever made - but with most other retro games offering some sort of overhauled main mode and the classic alongside it, recommending this is hard for players who simply want more then a port.- AceGamez

It's definitely not the best introduction to adventure games but if you're a fan of the genre and you don't mind a slow moving and isolated experience, then you're likely to find the story intriguing and the puzzles logical yet complex enough to bestow a sense of satisfaction when you solve them.- AceGamez

The characters and scenes have a wonderful resemblance to the movies, while the soundtrack adds more authenticity, all of which will be appreciated by fans of the film trilogy. However, with repetitive, linear gameplay and very limited sword-fighting action, even fans of the film will struggle to really enjoy the gameplay and if you haven't seen the films then At World's End definitely won't fulfil your expectations for an action game.- AceGamez

Of course, the odd SpongeBob appearance and the odd wisecrack from Mr. Krabs makes up for the otherwise abysmal tasting Krabby Patty of a game, but unless you really have an itch for a Sponge game, this probably should be avoided.- AceGamez

Rayman's Raving Rabbids 2 is a game with a sense of humour and a lot of customisation, with plenty to unlock to customise your Rabbid throughout the Adventure and Score modes, but the lack of variety and low difficulty in the mini-games will fail to satisfy most players in their teens and above.- AceGamez

Soulstorm doesn't offer an awful lot of new content, aside for the new maps for skirmishes and multiplayer. The multiplayer is still the highlight of this series and tactically decimating your opponent or friends is a source of endless enjoyment, but the single player in this expansion fails to inspire; there needed to be more involvement with the running of your territories (see the Total War series) for a map-based campaign to work and be really engaging.- AceGamez

As much I hate to say it, Star Wars: Empire At War isn't worth the entry fee. This is a terrible shame, since it had such promise from the pre-launch screenshots, but sadly the repetitive and shallow gameplay, combined with the below par presentation and ludicrously high difficulty level, simply can't compete with the best of the genre.- AceGamez

Where Eternal Forces does a great job is in the loads of biographies for what would normally be throwaway units. Granted, some of the bio information is strangely comical, but you end up caring about each character under your command. Sadly, there are far too many other characters that might be seen by some as astonishing stereotypes.- AceGamez

The overall package is no better than the original and in that regard it is actually more disappointing, since we already know how well the PSP can deliver on graphics and controls in this setting, and there are better role-playing games available for the PSP that you'd be wiser to spend your money on than this.- AceGamez

If you have, or intend to, invest a massive amount of time in learning all the delicate intricacies of the IL2 series, then by all means give this latest addition a stab. However, if you simply wish to play an engrossing and hair raising thrill ride in the skies, you'd be much better off queuing up on the aircraft carriers in Battlefield 1943 for your chance to fly a plane for 30 seconds.- AceGamez

It's like a coin with a good and bad side - sometimes you flip it on the good side and get the really well told story and interesting situations you find yourself in, but then you flip it on the bad side and get some awkward gameplay that really should have been better at this stage of videogame technology.- AceGamez

Sadly though, for now Virtua Tennis 2009 is only probably worth a look if you've missed the last couple of iterations; otherwise it might be best to hope that VT 2010 is a little more enticing and give EA's new Grand Slam Tennis a look instead.- AceGamez

FlatOut: Head On looks a bit like a nice slice of cake, but in reality it's more of a biscuit. It's not even a particularly pleasant biscuit, either; the first bite or two is nice enough, but after an hour or so you'll begin to taste the bitter unfairness of the AI, or the stale mini-games, or the… well, you get the idea.- AceGamez
