Fast forward to a small town overrun with thugs wielding super-human strength. A gruff drifter named Jean finds his way to this troubled region and defends a woman surrounded by a brutal mob. Despite his valiant efforts, Gene is overpowered by these thugs and his right arm is severed before falling into unconsciousness. He later awakens to find his limb whole again and that he is now the possessor of the legendary God Hand. The burden of being hunted by demonic legions seeking the right hand of God soon begins.     What really pushes God Hand over the top, though, is the presentation and how fun it is. In other brawlers, you’re restricted to punching guys in the face or kicking them in the stomach. God Hand finally lets you kick that stupid demon that’s been giving you trouble right between the legs.

    Old-school to it's core, God Hand isn't perfect, nor is it the kind of game that will please everyone, but buy into the world and the characters, dig into the combo system and enjoy the quirky humor here and you're bound to have a good time.

    If you're a thoughtful person, you may have realized that some of the best games are the ones who take the biggest risks. Even if it takes 20 years for players to come around, the ones that go down in the books are the ones everybody hated, or glossed over, at first. God Hand is one of them. If you're on the fence about trying this title out, try to avoid the reviews. This title could be your favorite game ever - it stands out, it takes a lot of risks, does things very differently from the rest. If you don't like unique or original media, you won't like God Hand. This game gets bad reviews by gamers who don't like experiences outside their comfort zones, that's all that is. The type of person who says "This game cheats!" when they lose, and lean towards games that hold player's hands through the 60 seconds of gameplay in-between cutscenes. Like it or not, there's a schism in gaming; there are people who like "experiences", and people who like games that challenge them to grow and overcome their weaknesses. God Hand isn't the former type of gaming experience, and it doesn't deserve to be rated poorly by gamers who don't like spicy food.

In an ocean of beat-em-ups where even the best games tend to blend together, this is a truly unique game with a style all its own. The action is tight, the character design is fresh, and the over-the-top-ness hits all the perfect notes. There is no greater feeling than stomping an enemy's face into the ground two dozen times in five seconds.

    This game doesn't try to be anything other than fun. And it succeeds in just about every way. Even for 2018.    … Expand

    The graphics arent good, but Godhand more than makes up for it by being a really funny and challenging game. It's awesome!
