Game InformerAlthough using the analog stick or d-pad doesn't compare to the arcade joysticks of old, I appreciate being able to tweak the number of lives you get for each game. [Oct 2005, p.128]
-
I suggest if you are looking for something different, before the Xbox 360 comes out with ultra-realistic graphics step back in time to a time where games were much more simplified but still fun. Also, for $20 you can't go wrong.
-
In the end this game delivers what you would expect, a collection of classic titles from the days of yore. For the decent price of the title it's not a bad little collection.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKA basic-yet-endearing trip down memory lane. Don't bother if you owned these games in a past life, though. [April 2006, p.92]
-
I enjoyed the games and will play them again, but have seen Namco bring out better collections and know they can add special features, this has none of them included.
-
But this compilation serves up all their gaming hits and, apart from proving just how far, thankfully, gaming has come in the last 25 years, it also manages to deliver nostalgia by the bucketload.
-
Have you been-there-and-done-that with the previous Namco collections? Raided the MAME tomb? Been stung by other retro collections? If so, there's no need to bother with this one.
