Epic, and most crowd pleasing experience I have ever had with a Marvel movie! I knew from the rumors way back in October of 2020 that this movie would be crazy and it lives up to the hype for sure.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everything from that movie felt like reviving your childhood with 3 generations with tou in the cinema feels unreal. The acting from Tom Holland and Dafoe was excellent they really put an effort to those characters, tge plot was what I felt needed most inclusion in terms of the villains to look more terrifying and chaotic causing chaos throughout the city and see how Tom’s actions would affect all that and last but not least I was expecting Tobey’s and Andrew’s a more epic entrance with their respective Soundtracks, after all those years not being everyone’s favourite Superhero I thought that was going to be included. Apart from all that the movie was great, not perfect, but it was a really good way to pay tribute to 20 years in the making for Spider-Man live-action movies.… Expand

An amazing film that met all my expectations. However, he did even a little more than I expected. Following on directly from the previous film, Spider-Man's identity has now revealed, and with that Peter Parker sees his life and the life of his friends starting to unravel, Peter asks Doctor Strange for help. Create a spell that will make people forget that Peter Parker is Spider-man, however when Peter tries to change the spell in the middle of it being cast, everything goes wrong, and now the multiverse has been opened.
Enter some of the baddies from previous incarnations of the Spider-Man franchise, and eventually previous incarnations of Spider-Man himself, and you have one of the best Marvel films ever made and a bunch of Spider-men, although Holland refers to them as Spider-mans.

However one major problem with opening up the past in this way, is it really makes you realise how good the Tobey Maguire Spider-man was, and how terrible the Andrew Garfield one was. Not to mention the Maguire Spider-man has by far the best looking suit, as well as being the only one who could fire real webs from his wrists.

Tom Holland however has cemented himself as the modern day Spidey and being way closer in age to what the character is supposed to be helps massively.

Big action scenes, decent story, old faces and new ones. Potentially a good reset for Tom Holland's Spidey with regards to future films, it is hard not to recommend Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The Good

Great to see Tobey Maguire again in the Spidey suit, easily the highlight of the film.

The Bad

Rehashing old villains seems a bit lazy.

Overall

The best Marvel film in a while.

First 30 minutes is not good. I'm not sure what's going on - feels like a diary of a whimpy kid film. Might be an MIT ad - still not sure. The whole tone of this film is is terrible. Entry of Andrew and Tobey is the best part of the film and I was so happy. Action sequences are really well shot especially the climax.
Visuals are another level. Direction is superbly fantastic by Jon watts. Overall entertaining and enjoyable movie

The only reason I can't give it 10 points is due to the main plot line not really making sense the way it is done. Dr. Strange is supposed to be the sorcerer supreme, I don't think he would be like "yeah, lets just go the basement and cast an extremely complex spell without any preperation, what can go wrong". He probably would make sure nothing can go wrong and it still does.

I have to take another point of for contradicting the avengers movie. Why didn't he just cast a spell and make Thanos forget he likes to kill half the universe? Obviously Strange just knows the spell, no look-up on magic-google required.

But both points are real nit-picking. Spider-Man is far and wide the best thing I have seen in a long time. So go and enjoy!… Expand

The multiverse is here and with it comes a grand rogues gallery across the historical Spider-Man franchise history. Every villain is given their due time in the spotlight along with a perfect dose of character development. Beyond that, the return of Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Men is not only handled with care, but the self-awareness this movie has provides viewers an experience rarely matched. As both a spiderman fan and regular moviegoer, this was a one fun film, packed with emotions. messages, and themes. It showed spiderman can be serious and is willing to make a sacrifice that none of us will make.

This movie could've gone down so wrong. It could've heavily relied on fan service and references to mask the terrible plot, like that other movie I watched (I'm looking at you, Matrix Resurrections!)

Thankfully, the movie is amazingly written, and all the cast were phenomenal at their roles. The returning villains still got it, and that ending left so much potentials for the sequel films.… Expand

I really wish I could set aside my younger self and review this piece objectively, but it's a fan service death trap -- and a successful one at that. So many moments where I sat, shaking my head, beside myself in response to what I was seeing happen onscreen. Man, oh, man. It's not a perfect movie by any stretch (the first act is a bit bumpy, there are a couple comedic hiccups along the way), but it is by far the best Spider-Man movie in the MCU. For a marvel fan, this will probably be the best MCU movie, by far. For web-heads, this'll probably one of the greatest movies of all time.
Tom Holland's superb performance really shines through the great shots this movie has, making justice to Peter Parker. Everything, from the ideia for the plot, to the execution, makes this Jon Watt's greatest achievement.
Alfred Molina, Willem Defoe, Jamie Foxx and Thomas Haden Church's return is everything a fan could wait for, with a remarkable performance and good writing, this characters feel more alive than ever.
Dylan Baker had is role overshadowed and had a low screen-time, yet, it nails his job, making a great return as the lizard.
Zendaya's, Jacob's and Benedict's performance was their best in all the MCU, by a mile.

For the thing people have been waiting for, and heavy spoilers ahead.. Yes, they're back. Their entrance is everything a fan could wait for, giving the suspense the scene needed, yet feeling close home and familiar. Tobey and Andrew's performance makes justice to their universe and characters. This movie really makes us understand that there's no Spider-man better than the other. Everything feels so well constructed, making their relationship feel natural and everlasting.

If you're a Spider-Man fan, this is a must. Watching this movie day one, on the theaters, was one of the greatest experiences of all time, making this a unforgettable day, which will probably lead me to the theaters to rewatch this.… Expand

This movie had insane hype qbd expectations and it blew all of them out of the water. I thought that juggling to many villains could turn the movie into Spider-Man 3 all over again but they completely stick the landing. When Tobey qnd Qndrew showed up the entirety of the theater erupted into applause and cheers and for once it was absolutely deserved. If you are in any way a Spider-Man fan you owe it to yourself to see this movie in theaters. Im sure it will be enjoyable enough on your TV but the movie is on a whole aither level.… Expand

The movie is very good and enjoyable, especially for original spider man fans. I watch the movie twice and it was still enjoyable. It wasn’t perfect but it was fun watching Peter Parker, MJ and Ned go out for another adventure.

Jon Watts can pride himself in the fact that he made a nearly perfect love-letter to all three of the Spider-Man film franchises. this movie could have come across as the latest Hollywood gimmick, but instead it proves that the concept of combing different reboots works perfectly when handled well and given a great, well written and acted story. The performances of Dafoe, Holland, Garfield and Maguire particularly give this movie true weight, with Garfield and Dafoe having particular memorable performances. The scene where Aunt May dies, and the moment where Maguire's Spider-Man is stabbed by the Green Goblin also carry great emotional weight, especially when considering the previous losses of the other Spider-Men. It is also a very funny film, with hilarious banter between the three Spider-Men. All and all, Marvel has proven that know exactly how to please their audience, and completely understand their own characters.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The build up to this movie since the trailer has been very hyped and for good reason. If you are like me and have memories as a child of watching Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy then the trailer would've given you a near heart attack from excitement. My memories of the first Spiderman film with Tobey Maguire have never left and still remains one of my favourite superhero movies or all times, and yes it is very goofy and campy but it is timeless, I have watched it so many times and still love every minute of it, include 2 and 3. As for The Amazing Spiderman movies, they are not that fun to watch, but have some good moments and Andrew Garfield could have been a great Spiderman in my view, but wasn't given that justice which I believe was out of his control. Why is giving my views on old movies so important in relation to this one? Well, I personally don't know how you could not talk about your history with the older movies when it comes to No Way Home, because it is nostalgia and fan service that will make you weak at the knees.

I typically break down my thoughts into sections based on the content but I am gonna do this a little differently because I honestly cannot pick apart this movie. It exists for fans of the older movies and the newer Spiderman (like myself) and puts it into a blender to create a glorious 2 hour and 30 minute experience that makes you shout in excitement and go teary eyed at parts.

Seeing Tobey back just made my day, I never thought I would see him in this role again and I grabbed my girlfriend's hand in the movie theatre and shook it in excitement. Andrew Garfield was given justice for his prior two movies, he was playing a Spiderman that you could just tell he was loving and that carried over to me as well. Tom Holland was exceptional, this was one of the most emotional experiences that this version of Peter/Spiderman has had to face so far and Tom took it on his shoulders and carried it so well, he wasn't a side character to Andrew or Tobey, Tom was the lead and never did his spotlight get completely taken, he was mostly solo in the spotlight or just sharing it with someone else.

How would this movie be without all this fan service? I honestly cannot answer that question, the content of this movie is purely based around fan service in my view, this movie was made the way it is for this purpose and taking it out would mean an entire script re-write aside from a few plot points that could've occurred a different way. For people who say this movie is terrible because it is just fan service, well again I would say this movie is not trying to do anything else other than be what it is, it is completely intentional and transparent, and we are all eating it up because it is just so incredible. This is an event, something us Spidey fans never thought would happen, this movie is for us. If you didn't like it, then that is fine, but the people making this movie knew their audience that they wanted to target and not only were they accurate, but they did it with such grace. If I had to have a complaint (very minor), it would be just the end with Peter being erased from everyone's memory. How exactly does someone like Happy know who May is despite meeting May through Peter, like how does his brain process that. Even at the cemetery when both Happy and Peter were there and Happy asked "How did you know her?", so even the thought of how May was known was on his mind, even if it wasn't himself, you'd think there would be some brain malfunction going on when he tries to remember how he met May himself, but yeah I don't know how it works exactly. In terms of Peter starting fresh without anybody knowing who he is, I have absolutely no problem with that, I am happy to play dumb and not overthink how it works, but just enjoy what is to follow.

For everyone who read through this whole thing and felt similar to myself about this movie, then I send you a fist bump with a big smile, we got something truly amazing.

If you don't know anything about Spiderman, and haven't watched the Sam Raimi trilogy, the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies and none of the Tom Holland Spiderman movies...You should probably watch those first before this one.… Expand
