This isn't just fan service or nostalgia. All the characters, yes, all of them have their own moments, their own personality. All of the characters, grow, and precisely spider-man is totally more responsible now.
This is a debut to spider man, i just wish that stan lee was alive to watch this masterpiece.
I love this movie, so very much.
Hope you like it too

Spider-man no way home shows all the things a spider-man movie needs. And it perfected the meaning of spider-man. There isn't a way of describing how good it is. It was made with love in mind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Good:
Much better than the previous two, being the first good MCU Spider-Man movie. The use of villains from previous films is done respectfully, the supporting cast actually feel like real peopl, and Tobey and Andrew are here, not as cheap fanservice, but as characters that propel the plot forward. Even with all the new characters, the movie does justice to Peter (Tom H.), MJ and Ned, which was surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Not so good: My first gripe is the comedy, while most jokes landed really well with the villains, some of them are childish and it feels jarring to watch serious characters do that. The way the whole multiverse is setup is also forced, a common trend with this director, as both Peter and Dr. Strange got their IQ lowered in that scene so it could happen, as simply any of them pointing out exceptions for the memory spell would have solved the whole movie, which cheapens the plot. The motivations for the villains feel forced too at some points, and I didn't buy Aunt May's motivation to try to help everyone, any adult older than 25 knows that thats not how bad people work, and this is further proved, IMO, when she gets killed by some1 she tried to help in first place. Not only that, but it also causes Peter to end up completely alone, which proves Dr. Strange was ,sadly, right. The reason I point out more bad than good is cuz I think all of it was easily avoidable, making the movie even better.

Conclussion: Still liked the movie, a great nostalgia trip and sets up a great Peter Parker for the future trilogy that has been announced in the future. Im actually excited to see what happens with MCU Spider-Man now.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. With so many high expectations being placed on this film, my first thought was that there was no way to avoid any disappointment. Leading up to the date, I constantly had to remind myself that if it didn't live up to my expectations, that didn't make it a bad movie. When talking about expectations, I'm sure many of you can infer that I am talking about the alleged cameos of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. Being that the Spider-man trilogy, and 'The Amazing Spider-man' movies are my favorite superhero movies of all time, and are held so close to my heart, I don't think I could've been more excited to see if the old Peter Parkers would come to life on screen once again, presumably for a last time... Thirty minutes into movie, then an hour, and still no Garfield or Maguire. Once again, I reminded myself that there was a large possibility that they wouldn't be in it. And that's what's great about the film. Even though the rumors were loud and hard to avoid, somehow I still didn't expect it.

Seeing Ned open the first portal, though, and a Spider-man at the end of a dark alley took my breath away. As the figure walked closer I turned to the person sitting next to me, making eye contact-- unspoken knowledge of what could be happening. As it step through the portal, the theatre was already getting antsy. And as he took off his mask, revealing it truly was Andrew Garfield, not some decoy, the audience erupted into cheers and applause. This specific moment is one why this movie is so good. It connected the audience in a way that I've never happen in a movie theater-- let alone with a movie-- before.

To be honest, the only critique I have of this film is that it's clear that the idea of bringing back the prior actors who held the title of "Spider-man," and their villains came before the idea of making a third movie to Holland's trilogy. Possibly more avid Marvel or film fans would have an issue with this, but it's one that can be brushed off easily, just by the fact that they were able to execute that intertwining of three different universes so seamlessly. It was seamless, but also intentional. Writers knew what they were doing, building on to the characters by filling in the audience in about what has happened to them since we last so them on screen, and referencing things that we know about them already. One of my favorite details was that when Tom couldn't save MJ from falling, Andrew was at the ready, scooping her up and saving her. You can see in his eyes the way that he wishes he could've done that for Gwen. It felt like he could finally get closure, which was very refreshing. It was also so engaging seeing the way that the three Spider-men explored their counterparts, learning things about each other that made the audience roar with laugher every single time-- it's the most I've laughed in a movie that was not a comedy. This was great because there has always been something about Holland's Spider-man that's felt lacking, at least for me. Because he was apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's like he was less of who Spider-man is supposed to be. With him able to bounce off of the two actors who have defined Peter Parker and Spidey for viewers, it's highlighted the strengths and Spider-man qualities of Holland's version. And in the end, when he makes his own suit, moves into a small apartment away from billionaire mentors, follows up on neighborly spider-man-like crime, and finally lets his loved ones go to keep them safe-- it's like we've come full circle. It's just the perfect way to end a series. I've wracked my brain thinking about any comment I could make to make this movie not a 10, but I honestly can't think of a single one. So glad they didn't disappoint. (P.S. Andrew Garfield definitely deserves some more recognition for all the lying he had to do prior to the release... hilarious.)

Marvel movies follow a comfortable pattern that keeps things interesting rather than boring. Combining comedy with blockbuster action scenes but usually they are well paced,a characteristic this new phase seems to lack. "No way home " like black widow or shang chi races through it's narrative despite it's 2hrs. Dr. Strange feels like a throwaway and Peter Parker's plight doesn't feel necessary. The comedy feels stiff and immature (see:jaime foxx's entire performance).
Im really disappointed by this movie firstly by how incoherent it is. Why would Peter forget the fact Norman has a darker half, introduce him to his identity, his aunt and friends? Or the fact electro keeps discussing his lust for power? His mistakes are very stupid and aunt mays death feels obligatory to push pale parallels to Sam Rami original trilogy .

On the positive side it fulfills alot of it's multiversal promises, the references are timely. Peter&his friends are a pleasure to watch. Zendaya is hilarious as Mj and Jacob is inconsequential as Ned. It's a foundation for a more cosmic marvel that takes greater risks. It captures the marvel zietgist despite being one of the weaker marvel projects.

And the movie it's really dark, it's not like Tom's 2 previous movies, Homecoming and FFH when Tom only has to face his own responsibilities or try to break out of people's expectations after Tony's departure. . This movie will show everyone a different side of Tom but at the same time retain the qualities that he had in the previous 2 movies, Homecoming and FFH. This movie is not only the ending for Trilogy Home but also the ending for 20 years of Spider-Man has been on the screen so calling it Spider-Man: Endgame is not wrong. And this is not only the end of the movie for Tom but also a new beginning for Tom now that he has grown a lot and I am really looking forward to continuing to follow Tom's path in the next Trilogy. . This is the best superhero movie of all time . Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is ridiculously mediocre. With the large amount of praise allow me to explain with spoilers. The story makes no sense. Spiderman has to get together all of the anomalies from other dimensions so Dr. Strange can make a spell to send them back? So, he gets together all of these villains who are from other dimensions, and he makes this spell, and he's about to hit it and Spiderman decides he doesn't want to because he kills them in other universes. Ok. Understandable. He's a hero. But wait. We find out he didn't get all of them together. There were 2 spidermans who were also from another dimension in this dimension. Wait. Why weren't they needed for Dr. Strange to make that spell? Wait. They don't all have to be in the same place at all for this spell to work either? Then why did we round them up in cells? I'm so confused. Okay, let's ignore all of that. If you saw this movie, remember when Aunt May dies, Spiderman very clearly gets shot in the shoulder. Somehow he instantly heals from that and we hear nothing of it again. He just chills on a rooftop, logistically bleeding out. But the movie just kind of forgot they made him get shot in the shoulder.

Dr. Strange gets defeated in his own mirror world, where he controls everything and is invincible. Tobey survives being stabbed & surviving like it's nothing ruining a high stakes, tragic, heartfelt death scene that could only have logically been stopped because they need him for a future multiverse movie one would presume. (Dr Strange and the MoM anyone?) Electro makes previous Spiderman go unconscious with a single zap, and moves at the speed of light so he can only dodge him with his Spidey sense. This electro is even stronger due to Tony Stark's technology, but cannot kill a Spiderman or even make them unconscious with a solid minute of screen time zapping him.

Let's talk about how out of character the news guy became. He went from needing to literally show up and use helicopters to aggressively film spidermans every move, to suddenly upon hearing spiderman taunt death onto his opponents at the statue of liberty being completely absent. What the heck happened? The writers didn't want a character they made to inconvenience your climactic end fight so they had to make the character act in ways he normally wouldn't. That's just garbage writing.

I'm not even going to touch on how illogical this spell is when people remember spiderman, but don't remember peter parker. It's just confusing as to how the story would have gotten to where it is without that memory when it comes to people like Happy, Aunt May, his friends, etc. and the more you think about it the more you'll want to rip your hair out so let's skip that garbage fire.

The entire movie was designed to give fan service at the cost of a great story like we had in the previous movie Far from Home.

The redeeming qualities are the great fight scenes, seeing 3 spidermans we're familiar with interact and share the screen together, and Willem Dafoe's amazing oscar level acting in this movie. I give it 3 or 4 stars out of 10.

After that shocking cliffhanger from the previous movie and the fact that villains from both Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man were returning for multiverse madness, the hype went through the roof. However, does it live up to the hype or collapse under its weight?

Let's get the obvious praises out the way first. The action sequences are all still very exciting and enjoyable to watch. The fight scenes utilize Spidey's and the villains' ability very well leading to a very fun choreography. Although, my favourite fight happens to just be a brutal fistfight in an apartment that illustrate the new tonal direction of the film. Michael Giacchino returns to score the film and his music score is better than ever. The first half of the film has a similar music score to that of Spider-Man Homecoming and Far From Home. The second half is where Michael's music score starts feeling more sombre and heroic, which is very effective and fitting for the story. He also includes some subtle music soundtrack from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man that is very fitting. One complaint that I had about director Jon Watts is that his Spider-Man movies are not visually interesting. This isn't the case in No Way Home with there being good cinematography and memorable shots. There is a scene with Strange and magic that looks visually pleasing and a scene with Peter in the rain that looks stunning. Tom Holland is still phenomenal as Spider-Man with him delivering a great performance. His chemistry with both Jacob Batalon and Zendaya who play Peter's best friend and girlfriend respectively is a wonderful sight. Seeing the three of them work together like the best of friends feels very believable. Benedict Cumberbatch also returns as Doctor Strange and he gives a very different side to him that we haven't seen before. He gives a more playful yet lecturing father-like side to him that bounces well off Spider-Man. Alfred Molina returns after 17 years as Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 and he is still able to embody the character perfectly like he never left. The best performance in this film comes from Willem Dafoe who returns as the Green Goblin From Spider-Man (2002). Willem is somehow able to give a performance that is even more frightening and unhinged than his performance in 2002 Spider-Man. Jamie Foxx also returns as Electro and thankfully his performance is no longer as cringy or silly as it was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This time he does feel like a villain to be reckoned with.

The story is also a huge step up from the previous MCU Spider-Man movies as it feels like there is more emotional weight this time. One issue with MCU Spider-Man over previous Spider-Man movies is that Peter never has anything personal at stake. This isn't the case in No Way Home where it feels like he is dealing with a lot and even downright suffering for it. He has a proper story arc that is incredibly satisfying. One worry I had was the fact there were 5 villains in this movie. Surprisingly, the movie does a good job of juggling them all. Everyone has a fair amount of dialogue that illustrates their personality while clearly stating their motives for them being against Spider-Man. Even if their motive is just wanting to turn a city into lizards. Unfortunately, Lizard and Sandman don't get as much focus compared to the other three villains. Both do feel like they are just there to have a big CGI battle at the end. I also find Sandman's motive clashes with the other villains which makes it weird for him to be teaming up with them at all. No Way Home also still seems to have a problem that a lot of MCU movies have which is doing quips and jokes without letting the serious nature of the moment linger longer. The film also has some weird editing where it feels like they don't linger on an actor's facial performance for long enough and just cut away to someone else's reaction instead. There are also a fair amount of scenes done with close up camera shots instead of a long or wide shot even though it would be better. Both of these are very noticeable in the final act, most likely due to the studio filming these actors in different places. Overall, Spider-Man No Way Home might be the best MCU Spider-Man film so far. While it is certainly filled to the brim with fan service, the film is still able to maintain a compelling story while making the fan service complement the story. This film should've been a bloated mess and it should have crushed under its weight, but it didn't. While the film certainly has flaws (and some plot holes and plot conveniences), it never damages the experience. No Way Home is an excellent movie that lives up to the hype. This is how you do fan service properly!

It is easily the best phase 4 content, it's not even remotely close.

The MCU has missed having a baddie as good as Octavius, or Osbourne.

I am glad the first act was the only one with a lot of 'Marvel humour'

I didn't think Marvel would come up with anything this spectacular after Endgame. The new Spider-Man may not surpass the Avengers in my opinion, but he's damn close on their heels. This was unreal. All three Spider-Men together. Seeing Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man on screen was a dream of mine and this movie made it come true. When he showed up, I thought I was gonna cry. Aside from him, I was very happy to see old familiar bad guys like Goblin and Octopus, who were absolutely excellent. I keep raving about how much I enjoyed the return of familiar faces from the Spider-Man trilogy, but I also have to praise the line of the current one or Tom Holland, which was also wonderful and had some really great moments. What I was very pleasantly surprised by, and actually can't believe, is how much they managed to cram it all into two and a half hours. It's already a longer film, but with a giant cast of characters. It's all very fast-paced here, so I wasn't bored at all and kept getting adrenaline shots. Wordless action. Totally unreal. Famous. I enjoyed it so much. As I mentioned the film is fast paced but despite that there is nothing rushed and I felt like every character had their own space. I don't understand how Marvel does it, but in short, they've proven that they can take bigger bites and do a great job of it, and I'm smiling. This movie had huge potential, no doubt. I was worried it wouldn't live up to it. I'm having a hard time judging it here. I'm slightly disappointed by some things and slightly pleased by others. Some things have been pleasantly surprising, others have been disappointing. In short, I could even imagine some moments that would have been perfect with all three Spider-Men, but unfortunately it didn't happen. On the contrary, there were other moments that I didn't expect and I was very pleasantly surprised and they were really cool. But I think it turned out great and with a few exceptions I'm absolutely satisfied. It's already a longer film and if all the potential was to be used, I really don't know how many hours the film would end up being. But a lot was accomplished in 2 and a half hours, for which I take my hat off. To sum it up. Spider-Man: No Way Home is, in my opinion, one of the best Marvel movies ever made, and for me, a great movie that I recommend. Expand

Rest assured this was a major step up in quality compared to FFH and Homecoming. This movie was so good, the action is memorable, the story and themes are very well presented. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man really gets a lot of growth and character development. Also Jon Watts really paid respect to the older franchises and the beloved older Spider-Man characters. Expand

The twenty-seventh episode of the MCU is all about fan service, nostalgia and fun without compromise or complications. And, is there anything wrong with that?

There are art films, cult films, and films like this one that offers you an escapist fantasy. I have never confused them and as in everything, there are levels of quality, and of course different criteria and opinions.
I only know that what I was looking for from this film was exactly what I found.

I had a lot of fun, and as a comic book reader since childhood, what I saw unfold on screen filled me with joy.

True, there are plot holes. Many of its elements are gratuitously justified so as not to overcomplicate things, and many times the pacing gets bogged down, but overall, things flow in a good way, as is usually the case with all Marvel movies.

The best thing? The closure it provides for what came before for the character, and most importantly, how it re-imagines Peter Parker, with Tom Holland finally becoming Spider-Man, and not Tony Stark's protégé and heir.

He has reclaimed his mantle, under his own hands. We'll have to see where they take him from here.

Peter prioritizes his connections with girlfriend MJ (Zendaya), bestie Ned (Jacob Batalon), and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), and his obstacles are moral as well as physical. How should he deal with all of these bad guys without endangering people around him? And what obligation does he have to make things right? The picture shines when it allows Peter to take a break and reflect on everything, ideally with his closest friends and family by his side, and his sequences with MJ and Ned are breezy and pleasant once more. Some of the action takes place in uninspired locations such as a barren forest or that Hollywood favorite, a motorway exit ramp. The characters, on the other hand, work, and filmmaker Jon Watts pulls it off. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It was fine. The story was forgettable and the ending leaves you asking a lot of questions about glaring plot holes. Similarly to Infinity War, they leave an ending that feels like it has massive implications, but deep down you know they will fix everything with no consequences. Seeing the three different Spider-Men interact was great fun, and the banter between the three of them is enough to make anyone smile at the very least. Willem Dafoe is still a chilling villain, and Jamie Foxx plays a much better Electro character than he did in Amazing Spider-Man 2. Overall a very fun movie, but nothing more. Expand

In this one, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds his life spiraling out of control after his identity as Spider-Man isThe anticipation for a Marvel movie certainly hasn't been this high since 'Avengers: Endgame' two and a half years ago! In this one, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds his life spiraling out of control after his identity as Spider-Man is revealed to the world following the events of 'Far From Home, and he soon seeks out Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help in order to try and undo the events from occurring, which inadvertently opens up the multiverse and unleashes several familiar villains, including the likes of Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), The Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx), and many more. Now I know what some of you may be here for, and some of you (or at least those of you who don't mind spoilers) more than likely want me to tell you whether past Spidermen Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in fact in the film, which of course has been the biggest rumor swirling around this film. And to that I say to simply just do what I did prior to walking into this film, and just go in expecting this to be a great film regardless of what that outcome may or may not be, because this film delivered in so many other fantastic ways! The action is incredible, the emotions run surprisingly high, and there's plenty of winks and nods and Easter eggs galore that call back to several past 'Spider-Man' films. For those of you worried about excessive fan service, you needn't worry, as it's only ever used to serve and progress the story further without being too overbearing. As for the performances, while you usually wouldn't expect much from a superhero film, Tom Holland delivers what I'd easily call his best performance to date. Furthermore, his chemistry with Zendaya remains one of the most charming and endearing aspects of these films. Another one of my favorite things were the villains and seeing all their familiar faces, cause trust me when I say that the nostalgia factor here is going to run VERY high with almost any audience member who grew up watching both the Sam Raimi trilogy and the two 'Amazing Spider-Man' films, and the villains all undoubtedly play a great and huge part in that. Really if there's any issue I have at all with this film, it's that it maybe even gets a little too overly sentimental a time or two, but most people probably won't even mind that, and this film is already near perfect as is! So overall, I'd say that this is EASILY the best Spider-Man film to date, and even one of the best superhero films of recent memory! Quite simply put, it's the ultimate love letter to Spider-Man, and I really don't think anybody's gonna to be disappointed with this one, trust me on that! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a long time Spiderman & Film Fan, I am typical of very many a person who knows the Spiderman Origin Story Outline. The MCU Spiderman was for me a breath of fresh air - from that Traditional outline, in that I could finally go to see some Spiderman Movies and not know what was going to happen. This Film takes a Blend of the 3 Cinematic runs of Spiderman and takes the Character & Brand Forward. This film is far better than "cameo fan service" that some reviewers suggest. This film goes way beyond what "MCU only" Spiderman fans perhaps wanted & is all the far superior a film for it. IE. If you enjoyed or even loved the Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Variants of Spiderman, and indeed rank their villains such-as Green Goblin and Doc OC, as some of the greatest Superhero Villain's ever, in the History of Superhero Film villains then this is the film for you.

What does more than "Fan Service" Mean? Well whilst the film has multiple peaks & troughs of action, interaction and battles, and may even sometimes seem weak in terms of script , that is more than made up for, in terms of how well fleshed out the story actually is, and whilst I am not someone known for being high on emo, the number of times I felt moisture building up around my eyeballs whilst watching a Spiderman movie was quite surprising & astonishing, in a good way.

This film is Fantastic, brilliantly well put together, and navigated the very many potential pitfalls that could have befallen a film with so many villains and Spiderman's with what is seemingly an unappreciated (amongst some reviewers & fanbases) aplomb. This film has "come & see me again" written all over it, and that is what will take it into the box office stratosphere over the next month or two, and in terms of ongoing sales and feel good factors it will probably break streaming / DVD / Video records for a film you will want in your collection.

A masterpiece of cinema and a love letter to all fans of Spidey and all things Spidey. Though I was skeptical going into the film, it truly delivered on every level and gave me an absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable experience. If you are an Mcu fan you will love this movie. If you are a Spider-Man fan you will LOVE this movie. If you are both, you will adore this movie and cherish it for years to come. Spoilers
I am going to be frank and say that William Dafoe and Green Goblin are my favorite part of this movie. They continued his arc from the first film in such a natural, sensical way that left me with chills after every seen with him. Him acting as if he had dementia and then turning into Gobby is honestly just amazing, No other way to really put it. Another part of this movie I really enjoyed was the ending. That ending, just wow. For some context, I am not a huge fan of the first 2 films of this trilogy, as they did not feel like real Spider-Man movies to me. They felt like Mcu movies. This film and its ending however IS Spider-Man and conveys everything that this character has taught me and other fans for years. It really goes back to its roots and brings back themes from my previously favorite Marvel film, Spider-Man 2. The final shot where Peter is doing a spectacular web-swing (I believe it was a combination of 4 Spider-Man web swings; those Spider-Men being Tom's, Andrew's, Toby's, and Ps4 Spidey's) with powerful music playing in the background left me in... tears. Of course I can't end this review without mentioning Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. Their chemistry is amazing in this film and it's honestly kind of sad that we'll probably never see them together again on the big screen as Spider-Man. And the re-created memes just left a huge grin on my face during and after the movie. Finally, I believe this to be Tom Holland's best movie and I believe this to be the best Spider-Man movie. It does everything right (except maybe some parts in the first half), expands upon everthing we know and love about Spider-Man, gives (most) of the returning characters greatly satisfying and conclusive arcs, and opens a lot of doors for the future of Spider-Man. My Rating
A+
9.5/10

Thank you Marvel and Sony for this spectacular movie. It will not be moving in my mind for months.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After the bombshell after credits scene of the last Spiderman movie showing Peter parker's identity revealed I was eagerly waiting a new movie. And now that the movie came out I can sadly say that it did not deliver.

Some aspects of the movie like the acting are very good. Dafoe is easily the best actor here able to portray Norman Osborne in a way very similar to a dementia patient lost in the world. Tobey is able to accurately portray an older wiser Spiderman, and Garfield is able to pull off the pain of losing Gwen well still nearly a decade later. Other aspects like the narrative are not as good. The story is jumbled and kind of stupid. we need to fix all the villains? This is a mind numbingly dumb idea. Furthermore the overarching reveal that the entire MCU Spiderman trilogy is an origin story was a bad choice. There was no reason to essentially yeet MJ and Ned. The movie now seems in retrospect to be a bizzaro soft reboot of the MCU Spiderman series more inline with being an MCU Tobey than its own thing. We also did not need another "with great power comes great responsibility" scene. This was a misstep. Part of why the first MCU Spiderman movie was good was due to that overplayed cliché scene not being in that movie. I don't care for the saying, I have known about this for over 2 decades, lets move on. Something that again the first MCU Spiderman did well, I just assumed Peter in that movie already heard the speech because the audience already has. The fan service while being fun was also overplayed. Felt like an episode of full house with my theater clapping every 3 seconds because of some random reference. Overall I did like it, but it is the worst of the 3 MCU Spiderman movies. If you turn your brain off and get happy at 1000 references then you'll like the movie. I would give it a 3/5 (6.5/10)

Side note:
Aunt May's death was one of the funniest things about the movie. She gets suplexed by the glider, blown up, and then walks around for a few minutes and then dies after the cliché "great power" spiel. I was laughing the entire time. Less is more guys, she could have just been stabbed or something we didn't need an entire production for her death

A shame too, because the rest of the film goes out of it's way to be respectful and pay attention to detail to all the various returning characters and their stories. Some of the emotional beats feel a bit forced but in general it's a high wire act pulled off more than satisfyingly (for the men at least). Expand

Overall not a terrible movie but not that great either. Expand

Roteiro cheio de conveniências, mas o fan service faz valer a pena. É só ter força pra aguentar até a metade do filme que depois da metade fica muito bom!
