This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is something so epic, so exciting, so cool. It's such an ambitious and risky film project. It's something never seen before, and that makes it something special and unique. To have all three Spider-Men from all the franchises and with their respective villains together is glorious. Nothing more to say. Thank you Sony and Marvel. Expand

In this one, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds his life spiraling out of control after his identity as Spider-Man is revealed to the world following the events of 'Far From Home, and he soon seeks out Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help in order to try and undo the events from occurring, which inadvertently opens up the multiverse and unleashes several familiar villains, including the likes of Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), The Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx), and many more. Now I know what some of you may be here for, and some of you (or at least those of you who don't mind spoilers) more than likely want me to tell you whether past Spidermen Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in fact in the film, which of course has been the biggest rumor swirling around this film. And to that I say to simply just do what I did prior to walking into this film, and just go in expecting this to be a great film regardless of what that outcome may or may not be, because this film delivered in so many other fantastic ways! The action is incredible, the emotions run surprisingly high, and there's plenty of winks and nods and Easter eggs galore that call back to several past 'Spider-Man' films. For those of you worried about excessive fan service, you needn't worry, as it's only ever used to serve and progress the story further without being too overbearing. As for the performances, while you usually wouldn't expect much from a superhero film, Tom Holland delivers what I'd easily call his best performance to date. Furthermore, his chemistry with Zendaya remains one of the most charming and endearing aspects of these films. Another one of my favorite things were the villains and seeing all their familiar faces, cause trust me when I say that the nostalgia factor here is going to run VERY high with almost any audience member who grew up watching both the Sam Raimi trilogy and the two 'Amazing Spider-Man' films, and the villains all undoubtedly play a great and huge part in that. Really if there's any issue I have at all with this film, it's that it maybe even gets a little too overly sentimental a time or two, but most people probably won't even mind that, and this film is already near perfect as is! So overall, I'd say that this is EASILY the best Spider-Man film to date, and even one of the best superhero films of recent memory! Quite simply put, it's the ultimate love letter to Spider-Man, and I really don't think anybody's gonna to be disappointed with this one, trust me on that! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've seen this movie now twice, and I can safely say it's my favorite Spider-Man film. This movie had no business being this good. All it needed to be was a quirky introduction to the multiverse slathered with fan-service. Tom Holland could have just joked around with his buds and the movie would have made billions, and it would have accomplished what it set out to do. But instead, what we got was a slugger to the gut. One of the finest casts I've ever seen in a film with each one bringing their A game would have been enough as well (and we got just that), but NO. The writers decided to ALSO hit us with a death blow to Aunt May, fulfilled character arcs for several characters--in this universe and others--and the perfect conclusion to Tom Holland's Peter Parker trilogy wrapped in gut-wrenching depression with a tinge of bittersweet satisfaction. The MCU Spider-Man saga could have ended here and I'd have been blown away ultimately, but they still intend to do more with this character going forward: this poor, distraught, heroic, broken, courageous boy who sacrificed literally everything to be the hero the world needed in that moment. He carries the burdens of his failures into a world where no one else will have to face the ramifications of them but himself. I am still feeling pain for Peter, and I did not go into this calling myself a Spider-Man fan. This film has made me one, and I love it to my core.

What I liked most were the acting performances, most notably from Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, and Tom Holland (who has his career performance to date in this film). Andrew's Peter got a wonderful completion to his forgotten saga and Tobey's Peter is clearly arced during this film, and he plays the role of the elder Spider-Man excellently. I also loved the execution of Aunt May's death. They made her relevant in a believable way and gave her the end that would propel this Spider-Man into a league of his own. The thematic conclusion for Tom's Peter was the cherry on top of a bombastic, yet darker blockbuster epic.

The elements I was not a fan of, however, were the way in which the Spider-Mans were introduced, some of the villains having questionable motives, and the fact that I'm still nervous about what this does to the MCU as a whole, but probably only because I have no real idea where they go from here with Peter, and I have my concerns about what they might be gearing up to do, but I'll hold my breath until the next one. There were also some sloppy editing moments, especially in the final one-on-one fight with the Green Goblin. But ultimately I can look past a lot of the heavy CGI and excessive action-sequence cuts because there were far more strong suits, such as the CGI fight with Doctor Strange that had little to no cuts at all and was a beautiful sequence.

All in all, this was a spectacular film for what I went in expecting. Not a perfect one, but if you're expecting the Godfather, you're in the wrong theater. This is a fun, colorful, exciting, eventful, emotional flick that should have any moviegoer pleased with the result. Marvel still deeply cares about its work some thirteen years later, and that does put a smile on my cynical face. For me, it gets a 9.2/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie had the makings of one the would surely disappoint from all the hype that was built up and the absurd amount of plot lines going on. I was expecting a Spider-Man 3 level of wasted potential... But somehow they were not only able to pull it off, they exceeded my expectations... Everything I was hoping for was there and they still managed to surprise me multiple times. This is also the moment I've been waiting on. Tom Holland's Spider-Man finally became Spider-MAN. He finally got out of the shadow of Tony Stark and stopped being the kid that screws up and has to fix his mistakes. I can't wait to see what direction they take it from there because that ending is perfect and not one I ever expected them to go. Expand

He goes to Doctor Strange to cast a spell to make everyone forget he's Spider-Man. Strange casts the spell but it is tampered with by Peter so that other unwanted characters come through. Alfred Molina returns as Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe comes back as Green Goblin. The best part of the movie was having all these characters from previous franchises come back. Sandman, Lizard, and Electro were re-introduced, and they were all portrayed by their former cast members. It was also cool seeing Tobey's Spider-Man again and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and I liked how they are given a real role in the film. The movie ends bittersweet with Peter and MJ going off to college, having had her memory of Spider-Man being Peter erased. There are potential routes the series could go from here, one is a symbiote storyline which is winked at after the credits. Kraven the Hunter, Hydroman, Shocker and Black Cat could be introduced. Scorpion or a storyline with Ned Leeds becoming Hobgoblin has also been speculated on. Expand

It is easily the best phase 4 content, it's not even remotely close.

The MCU has missed having a baddie as good as Octavius, or Osbourne.

I am glad the first act was the only one with a lot of 'Marvel humour'

We've waited a long time for this movie to come out, and it's finally here. Judging by the ticket sales and packed theaters, you may have already seen this movie. Let's see what Tom Holland and crew have for us on this record-breaking weekend.

No Way Home is a continuation from where Far From Home left off. This review may contain some spoilers about the previous movies, but it's nothing that you couldn't get from the trailer. Check out the trailer below. Also, what's wrong with you?! Why haven't you seen the new iterations of your friendly neighborhood Spider-man? Shame on you! Anyway, you're here now and it's not too late to catch up on the MCU but, particularly, the Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland.

This third episode of Spider-Man just continues the hope that Disney and Sony can figure out these rights so that the MCU can have all of its necessary parts. Here, the viewer of this movie, whether fan or general audience member, can enjoy it. This movie has a nice but interesting mix of nostalgia and forward thinking. We get blasts from the past but also a story that mixes the current with the prospective future. This is clearly what Kevin Feige has been really good at with the phases of the MCU. No Way Home, strangely, had a similar Infinity War feel to it as well. There's a culmination of the years of Spider-Man made into one cohesive story. The story as a whole isn't that great but the execution was excellent. It takes you from the high of highs to the low of lows back up and down like a yo-yo. Plus, there are moments of legit comedy. For those that care, I can absolutely see you catching that thug tear in your eye at multiple moments throughout the movie. Ultimately, the end product just feels good and gives those who want to stay truer to the Spider-Man character hope and relief. This may sound very vague but it's hard to not spoil this movie when it has so much excitement to it.

Now, the cast as a whole is huge. Disney has sooo much money to spend, it's unreal. You have Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, and J. K. Simmons, in the cast and they aren't even the main characters. This cast definitely has enough cash to find a way home. As a whole, there are many poignant and heartfelt moments led by Tom Holland and Zendaya. There are also a couple weird moments where you'll feel awkward, but strangely enough, Spider-Man is supposed to be a bit awkward and offbeat; so, even when things aren't working, IT STRANGELY WORKS. This movie just works. It's Spider-Man to the multiverse max. Full of fanfare with the cast and the storyline and I'm sure there is more to come.

Long story short, this is no Miles Morales Spiderverse but for a live action sequel this is exactly what we deserve. Spider-Man: No Way Home while it somehow found a way to get a bit slow in the middle, the stakes in a single hero movie have never been bigger. The cast is huge. The stakes are huge. The impact on the MCU will be huge as well. Overall, Spider-Man: No Way Home is just a blockbuster you must see with a big box of fresh popcorn.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought that this movie would disappoint me when I first heard about it as I thought it would ruin the older beloved Raimi characters as well as be very childish and kid friendly in the tone. However I am happy to say that is not what I got as what I got was a masterpiece. First off the tone is dark and most of the comedy in this movie is done much better then most of the childish MCU movies. 2nd the tone is very dark at times and it really gives Tom Holland Peter Parker depth. Also the villains especially Green Goblin were all fantastic as they have understandable motivations and are developed decently. The story and plot, as well as the pacing are all pretty decent. The soundtrack in this movie was great way better then the two Tom Holland movies. The action is all breathtaking and the fan service in this movie is very well done, much better then Endgame imo. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 1-First of all, watching the old actors come back in their roles and watching their quality performances reminded me of old quality Spider-Man movies.

2-The arrival of the other Spider-Man is very ordinary and the way they show their power is funny, but it seems to me that they are disrespected. The arrival of Tobey's Spider-Man was so ordinary. If 3 Spider-Man is in a beer, how the dialogues have reflected the fantasy of returning very well. But still, I wish we could see the 3 of them wandering among the buildings in the city together, with their own theme music. :(

3-This time, unnecessary jokes were less and there were quality jokes.

4-Beating Doctor Strange, they made that part very simple, I didn't like it.

5-The scene where Andrew saves our Spider-Man's girlfriend was very beautiful.

6-The villains in the movie are not actually bad, it is not true for all super-villains to say that they have diseases that make them bad. Unfortunately, that philosophy is not bad, but well-executed. Especially the scene where Doc Oct came to help was legendary.

7-Sand Man's character was unstable throughout the movie, he was hypersensitive, while he was kind, he suddenly became bad, he was very conceited, brother. I would like to see him being an ally and helping our people. They spent the Sandman.

8-The thing I wanted to see the most was Venom, but they used the character like an extra you know. He came and left a piece of symbiote, what is this?

9-In the movie, our Spider-Man and his lover's relationship was poorly handled, but their separation could have been more impressive if a little effort had been made.

10-The thing I complained about the most in the last Spider-Man series was that Spider-Man was always someone's servant. Like a child, he was always there for their technology support. Like Tobey, he didn't do his own cosplay, and instead of his own money, he was always a hero with someone's support. At the end of the movie, this cycle is finally broken and our Spidey went out to his house and sewed his own costume. Now, it has been returned to the concept of one of us that makes Spider-Man Spider-Man, I left the movie happy in that way, I hope they don't spoil it in future movies.

11-Finally, it's enough to show real realistic blood in those superhero movies, or we're tired of them, like a children's channel, they are trying not to show blood all the time. You don't even realize that the side character is seriously injured. Get out of this head and let those directors, writers and editors go.

A masterpiece of cinema and a love letter to all fans of Spidey and all things Spidey. Though I was skeptical going into the film, it truly delivered on every level and gave me an absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable experience. If you are an Mcu fan you will love this movie. If you are a Spider-Man fan you will LOVE this movie. If you are both, you will adore this movie and cherish it for years to come. Spoilers
I am going to be frank and say that William Dafoe and Green Goblin are my favorite part of this movie. They continued his arc from the first film in such a natural, sensical way that left me with chills after every seen with him. Him acting as if he had dementia and then turning into Gobby is honestly just amazing, No other way to really put it. Another part of this movie I really enjoyed was the ending. That ending, just wow. For some context, I am not a huge fan of the first 2 films of this trilogy, as they did not feel like real Spider-Man movies to me. They felt like Mcu movies. This film and its ending however IS Spider-Man and conveys everything that this character has taught me and other fans for years. It really goes back to its roots and brings back themes from my previously favorite Marvel film, Spider-Man 2. The final shot where Peter is doing a spectacular web-swing (I believe it was a combination of 4 Spider-Man web swings; those Spider-Men being Tom's, Andrew's, Toby's, and Ps4 Spidey's) with powerful music playing in the background left me in... tears. Of course I can't end this review without mentioning Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. Their chemistry is amazing in this film and it's honestly kind of sad that we'll probably never see them together again on the big screen as Spider-Man. And the re-created memes just left a huge grin on my face during and after the movie. Finally, I believe this to be Tom Holland's best movie and I believe this to be the best Spider-Man movie. It does everything right (except maybe some parts in the first half), expands upon everthing we know and love about Spider-Man, gives (most) of the returning characters greatly satisfying and conclusive arcs, and opens a lot of doors for the future of Spider-Man. My Rating
A+
9.5/10

Thank you Marvel and Sony for this spectacular movie. It will not be moving in my mind for months.

As both a spiderman fan and regular moviegoer, this was a one fun film, packed with emotions. messages, and themes. It showed spiderman can be serious and is willing to make a sacrifice that none of us will make.

This movie could've gone down so wrong. It could've heavily relied on fan service and references to mask the terrible plot, like that other movie I watched (I'm looking at you, Matrix Resurrections!)

Thankfully, the movie is amazingly written, and all the cast were phenomenal at their roles. The returning villains still got it, and that ending left so much potentials for the sequel films.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The fan service was amazing but if looking at it from a non emotional perspective or someone who didn't have background on the previous cameo actors then the movie itself doesn't hold up very high on its own. I didn't appreciate the way the bad guys went good straight away then went bad straight away. The death was unnecessary and the scenes were not anything too impressive. That being said with the fan service that went as far as it did, which I didn't expect it was atleast a 7/10. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everything fans were waiting for, but better. I cried, I laughed, I screamed... this movie is a gigantic rollercoaster. For a marvel fan, this will probably be the best MCU movie, by far. For web-heads, this'll probably one of the greatest movies of all time.
Tom Holland's superb performance really shines through the great shots this movie has, making justice to Peter Parker. Everything, from the ideia for the plot, to the execution, makes this Jon Watt's greatest achievement.
Alfred Molina, Willem Defoe, Jamie Foxx and Thomas Haden Church's return is everything a fan could wait for, with a remarkable performance and good writing, this characters feel more alive than ever.
Dylan Baker had is role overshadowed and had a low screen-time, yet, it nails his job, making a great return as the lizard.
Zendaya's, Jacob's and Benedict's performance was their best in all the MCU, by a mile.

For the thing people have been waiting for, and heavy spoilers ahead.. Yes, they're back. Their entrance is everything a fan could wait for, giving the suspense the scene needed, yet feeling close home and familiar. Tobey and Andrew's performance makes justice to their universe and characters. This movie really makes us understand that there's no Spider-man better than the other. Everything feels so well constructed, making their relationship feel natural and everlasting.

If you're a Spider-Man fan, this is a must. Watching this movie day one, on the theaters, was one of the greatest experiences of all time, making this a unforgettable day, which will probably lead me to the theaters to rewatch this.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The end result lived up to the hype. To every hack writer in movie/TV, forget your idea of subverting expectations. Deliver a product that exceeds expectations through exceptional execution. This movie did exactly that. There were several "spoilers" that the masses saw coming a mile away. But, when said spoilers revealed themselves, people still squealed/clapped/gasped in the cinema because the execution was fantastic. This movie is right up there with Raimi's Spider-man 2 and Into the Spiderverse with respect to my favorite Spider-man movies released.

On that note, the movie wasn't flawless. Speaking of hack writing, whoever thought it was a good idea to have Green Goblin stab Spider-man (Maguire) near the end, please leave the movie industry entirely. To have him get stabbed, then walk it off and quip "it's not the first time I've been stabbed" was nothing short of cheap writing - no payoff. If you don't have the bravery to kill him off, don't have him get stabbed. What was the point?

Also, I may need to rewatch it because I don't understand the ending. In the beginning, Peter was going to wish that no one would know he was Spider-man. He mucks that up and Dr. Strange decides not to finish casting the spell. Much later... Green Goblin destroyed the box that was holding together time/space and would have returned all of the characters to their multiverse. Everyone from alternate universes who knew Peter was Spider-man was entering the MCU universe. For reasons beyond our understanding, completing the original spell would restore everyone to their correct universe and seal the "cracks" in the multiverse. Sure, I can get that. These people are only entering the universe because they know Peter is Spider-man, so forgetting that would set everything right. But why did the spell suddenly turn into "everyone forgets Peter exists" rather than simply forgetting Peter was Spider-man? Perhaps I missed some dialogue that explains this. However, it feels like a cheap way to get a somewhat fresh start. I also don't understand how that would work - and this is coming from a guy who just goes with things like people who blipped in planes, came back safe on the ground because "Smart Hulk" wished it so. Like, are there yearbooks out there will empty spaces where Peter's picture used to be? Do MJ and Ned just have gaps in their memory when they were hanging out 1-on-1 with Peter? Does MJ think it's weird her social media pages say she's in a relationship with some random guy? This "solution" creates more questions than it does solve anything.

Even with the ending having two things I felt were the result of lazy writing, I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

The first ~30m of the movie is very cringy, everyone behaves like an angsty teenager, the character writing there is immature, feels like it was written by a teenager for teenagers who think this is edgy / quirky but in fact it is irritating. The other factor that pulled down my score was MJ's character. Zendaya's smug "tell it to the white man" attitude I find superbly irritating, every time she opened her mouth I just wanted to skip ahead, she was easily the worse MJ character of all time. When she straight up told Dr Strange to shut up and say please, I was like "oh my god, just stop please skip ahead.. Soo cringy.. The rest of the move was OK, familiar characters create predictable nostalgia, CGI is acceptable. All in all not that bad with crappy parts. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. WOW just WOW!!! Although I desperately wanted to share my thoughts on this film here while leaving the theater Thursday night, or more accurately Friday morning, however I refrained from posting my opinions on this film on this site to be seen by a couple of strangers on the internet to give me time for a second viewing and to wrap my head around and process the gigantic scope and size of this film, and boy am I glad that I did. With that brief preface our of the way let's get into the meat of this flick, and in case you somehow didn't notice the label there will be heavy SPOILERS in this review and trust me you want to go into this film with untainted eyes, so read on at your own discretion. Also apologies if the formatting of this is a little out of wack as I'm typing this up on Android. Now when I was going into this film I must admit while excited I can confirm that I was more than a little bit cautious. Both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's franchises came crashing down under the weight of their own lofty ambitions, and this was to be the biggest Spider-Man film yet. Thankfully this film never felt overcrowded or overstuffed, culminating the last 20 years of Spider-Man on film into one massive love letter to the fans. The inclusion of the multiversal villains and yes both Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Men didn't distract from Tom's iteration's personal moral struggle, but they compliment it instead. Now I can't describe the intense feelings of immense nostalgia I felt when we first saw Doc Ock's mechanical arms splitting the bridge as he made he made his first on screen entrance since 2004. Or when I first heard the Goblin's menacing laugh. Or when Tobey and Andrew both stepped into Ned's dining room despite my certainty that they would make some sort of meaningful appearance in the film. The creative team behind this movie show how they are not just laboring away on this film in anticipation of their next paycheck, but how they tool are Spidey fans who have been playing scenarios like this in their heads for years. While the fan dedication of this film is great, it's true heart is in the emotional struggle if Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Now this film pulls no punches, puting Tom's Peter Parker through the wringer finally imposing impactful consequences on the his version of the hero for his noble deeds. Firstly, we see how the worldwide revelation of his identity not only negatively affects him, but his loved ones based on mere association with him. Secondly, we see how his selfless desire to fix it for them by going to Doctor Strange, immature as that decision might be, ultimately only worsens the already bad circumstances he finds himself in by summoning villains who know Peter Park's true identity from across the multiverse. Then, the film as well as Peter, maturely recognize it's ensemble cast of antagonists not only as villains, but also as victims with Holland's Spidey, largely motivated by his aunt's deep influence on him, seeks to save them. Unfortunately in the process, Aunt May, the person who avocated for Peter's kind treatment towards the villains the most, perishes to the Goblin who brings up a moral dilemma stating that those who hold the power have the ability to use it to do whatever they want regardless of the consequences, in stark contrast to the way that he was brought up by May. He starts to wonder whether what she stood for died with her. But before he can lose himself in his bitterness and rage Tobey and Andrew show up to console him in the films most touching scene pointing him back in the right direction. Finally, everyone who was knew Parker has their memory of him erased as it's the only way to mend that fracture in the multiverse that he had unwilling created, while also protecting his loved ones from future heartache by association with him leaving him alone with no support system to lean on as he steps our into the world. Now while this film was emotionally satisfying it is not scarce of problems. The most glaring of them being how casual Doctor Strange is about casting a spell on all of humanity with catastrophic consequences should he screw it up, which surprise, surprise, he does. Although this oversight doesn't inhibit my overall enjoyment of this film, it may come back to bite him when it comes to his continued characterization in Multiverse of Madness and the rest of the MCU. To conclude this rather verbose brain dump, this film manages to tell an intimate and personal Spider-Man story in the midst of a cascade of satisfactory fan that brings the previous era of Spidey films to a close, while looking forward to the characters continuation in cinema. 9/10 Expand

Finally a Spider-Man film from the MCU

After having 2 films with Holland as The Iron Spider-Boy FINALLY he becomes Spider-Man in a film that actually IS about spider-man. MCU phase 4 has had a very very rough start with financial flops Black Widow that needing $700m to break even due to the 4 times being pushed back and costing $100m a pop only to bring in just over $500m, on top of SJ suing for $50m, Shang Chi needing $500m to break even only to fall short by $100m end of its run and then Eternals a critical and financial bomb along with China not being interested and most of Europe not being bothered. MCU Phase 4 really needed something big and I have to say Spider-Man No Way Home has done that. Nice surprises and a great finale, easily the best spider-man movie in Hollands lack luster trilogy.

Common Audience would

MCU lovers would celebrate it

Crazy MARVEL FANATIC followers would enjoy it, celebrate it, embrace it, cherish it, cry on it... They would go nuts and their brain would take time to process what's just happened, & what's about to happen in The Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.

In my mind and heart, Sony's &
