Spider-Man: No way Home (2021) is the 27th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-man: Far From Home (2019) and the 9th film to star the beloved Marvel Comics character created bySpider-Man: No way Home (2021) is the 27th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-man: Far From Home (2019) and the 9th film to star the beloved Marvel Comics character created by Steve Ditko & The Legendary Stan Lee. After Mysterio revealed his secret identity to the world, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) seeks help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast a spell to make everyone forget he is Spiderman, However After Peter tampered with the spell, Doctor Strange accidentally pulled people who knew Peter Parker from several Multiverses into their own so it's up to Spider-man to protect his world from the villainous visitors of The Multi-verse. After Watching this film yesterday I could easily assume that this is easily the best MCU Spider-man film and The best film out of Phase 4, The Acting, The Music and The Special Effects are all well done, The action scenes were well shot, The way this film used Fan service like bringing back Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Jamie Foxx as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) with additional nods to scenes from the previous Spider-Man movies was also really clever and also there are some scenes are really emotional and will tug at the heart strings for some fans. All I could say about this film without spoiling it is that it's something really special for Spider-man fans and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes superhero movies and Spider-man, It is truly one web slinging adventure for everyones favourite web-headed superhero. Non-spoiler review:

It is amazing 10/10 it exceeded my expectations and there were so many moments that got standing ovations, it is the best spiderman movie and one of the best MCU films and IMO the best MCU film, it is more emotional and different from the previous spiderman movies and it does a great job of bringing the iconic villains back. It is fast-paced and for people who think the trailers and tv spots were too revealing, they weren't. I definitely recommend watching this movie even if you aren't an MCU fan but you will need some background info like on Sam Raimi's trilogy and The two amazing spiderman movies. The easy solution to this is to watch a 20 min video of everything you need to know on Youtube.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. SPOILERS: Fantastic spiderman movie, my 2nd fav spiderman as of now, Green Goblin and Willem Dafoe's performance of him was a standout, best live-action representation of the character, in my opinion, he was the main villain you might say, with electro and dr otto Octavius following closely behind. Lizard and Sandman were just sort of there for the final act, didn't really do much during the movie, whereas otto and electro worked very well as they got to face a choice, whether to continue down their villainous path or redeem themselves which was a turning point in the film, with goblin swaying the choice of electro to make a turning point in the film, for electro to turn on spiderman again. Having all 3 spidermen in it worked amazingly well, they tied it all in together, made for some satisfying conclusions to their characters such as when Andrew saved MJ, or when Tobey was the one to make Tom hollands spider-man not kill the goblin, but instead do the spiderman thing and save him from himself. I thought this movie was almost perfect, with the action scenes, the way they handled all the villains (for the most part) and spidermen in the film was done with such precision, where they didn't ruin the characters, but instead developed them more in this film, especially with all the little throwbacks to the OT Sam Raimi spiderman and amazing spider-man movies. Lastly only real is about the film was some misplaced comedy and the first part of the film was a bit slow-paced, although I get that they needed exposition and all that, but just thought they could have done a better job. Homecoming and Far From Home felt like they were the MCU spiderman movies, which wasn't my cup of tea, but after like 30mins into the film of no way home, it felt like a spiderman film, in the spider-verse rather than as much MCU, which is what I want a spiderman film to be about, Peter Parker fighting his friendly neighborhood enemies, rather than like before where it tied into MCU more so. Dr. Strange was limited in this film too and I think they had him in there for the perfect amount of time All in all goated movie 9.5/10. Expand

THIS IS THE SPIDERMAN MOVIE THAT EVERYONE WAS WAITING FOR. ignore all the people who say that this is gonna disappoint and all, those people nitpick things and then they find flaws. of course, this movie is not perfect, but the screenplay ofTHIS IS THE SPIDERMAN MOVIE THAT EVERYONE WAS WAITING FOR. ignore all the people who say that this is gonna disappoint and all, those people nitpick things and then they find flaws. of course, this movie is not perfect, but the screenplay of this movie is amazing, it really boggles my mind how the writers take such high concept and present it without wasting a single second. this movie, from start to the very end is really really engaging. and this will definitely go down in the history for being the best spiderman movie ever. now, it sure has all the marvle stuff like tone and keeping it light and the familiarity with the mcu style of movies, but this movie stands out from the rest of the mcu movies. this movie is all about spiderman and peter parker and it focuses on his problems which cause even bigger problems and how the story revolves around this dilemma of his and just like peter parker feels in this movie, we kinda feel similar, so, there are stakes and moral ambiguity of characters and peter parker's internal journey and how he and his friends( ned and mj) figure things out. also, talking about fan service, this movie has a lot of it, which was quite evident in the trailer as well, but this movie in no way is or feels shallow or made with an intention of just making money, it is a really earnest attempt at telling an earnest story and integrating so many characters and yet making the movie not feel dragged. most of the characters have some sort of motive, few( just really very few) characters seem to have been forgotten by the writers in the end, but it didn't bother me that much as i was watching the movie. and also, I am a kind of a guy who will skip action sequences cause i find them highly unnecessary(applicable to many, not all), but in this situation, even though i was sitting in a theatre, i would not have skipped it if i had the option to because it is really worth watching. and every act is equally enjoyable and interesting, all the 3 acts are great. the actors are great, the direction is great, the score was great, jk Simmons has a really great cameo here. just that, if you are a spiderman fan, it will be the perfect film for you and might as well make you love spiderman more. also, the post-credit and end credit scenes, just blew my mind. please watch it, you would not be disappointed Expand

I don't even know what to start with ... Spider-Man: No Way Home is my favorite MCU movie.
It's hard for me to express how I feel after seeing this movie ... but it was great, I'll try to express myself as clearly as possible
Each of us has a friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man ... be it Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland, it doesn't matter which of the three trilogies you like the most ... because this movie has them all.
I was shocked when I saw them, it left me speechless ...
First of all, Tom Holland or SpiderMan 1 was amazing, personally it's my favorite ... the progress he manages to make from Homecoming to No Way Home is amazing.
I liked Andrew Garfield as SpiderMan although I can't say that his movies were my favorites, but in this movie he was amazing, he really made an impact, he packs so much emotion, he should do another The Amazing Spider- Man with Andrew Garfield in his universe ... and I'm glad Andrew caught Mj because that made the movie even more amazing.
Tobey Maguire's first two Spider-Man movies made me an MCU fan ... this is where it all started, and I love that they added that he creates his own web fluid.
And now the best part of the movie is the villains ... I'm so glad everyone came back to play their roles
Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) to be honest he is my favorite because he is not really a villain, his mechanical tentacles gaining mental control, but also turning him into a crazed super villain.
Sandman or Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) again I don't see him as a villain, I see him as an antihero, I just want to escape from the Holland universe to see his daughter.
Green Goblin or Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe) I love Willem, he's a great actor and I love that he has that split personality like in the first Spider Man, and it's not always bad and we see his good side.
Dr. Curtis Connors or The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) I love that in this movie The Lizard has a personality and talks about him and how he tried to fix himself and is really worried about whether he really dies or not, plus some lines are very funny and honest I didn't expect it to come from him.
Maxwell "Max" Dillon or Electro (Jamie Fox) one of the villains I've been waiting to see the most, I like how he doesn't trust anyone, and how he wants more and more power, this Eloctro we should have and in The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Another amazing thing about Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, and the fact that they didn't rebuild it from the beginning, Daredevil is exactly as we knew it in the Daredevil television series.
Then we must not forget J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) and I must ask you ... And where were you, photographing squirrels? You're fired! :)
Now getting serious ... a scene that really made me cry was when May died, I don't know many movies to be able to do that.
And such a moving scene is when Holland said goodbye to Ned and MJ ... I won't admit that I cried, no, I didn't, noop, naaa, not at all, never ...
The fact that I didn't tell them after I erased their memory left me heartbroken, so sad
By the way, I have to say that I'm very curious about what happened to Eddie Brock and Venom in the end and what will happen to the bartender.
this movie was beyond amazing and I'm shocked, I still can't believe this happened.

Watching the old spidermen andAbsolutely fantastic. 10/10 I cannot speak highly enough of this film, it was a cinematic masterpiece to watch and just a fantastic movie. It could be the best MARVEL film made to date, personally I think it is. Watching the old spidermen and villains return hit me with a punch of nostalgia but didn't cover the fact that this film is great even without them being in it. I feel like that without Tobey, Andrew and the other villains the film would still be AMAZING but them being in it just pushed it to being even better.

As soon as it started, it gave me Endgame and Infinity War vibes as it shoved you straight into the action and tension with no time for explanations. It put you in the shoes of Peter, MJ and Ned, and the troubles they are facing now that Peter's identity has been revealed. It was a thrilling and emotional rollercoaster, with moments that would make you cry and laugh. Which is something MARVEL does so well anyway, mixing comedy with serious action.

Speaking of action, the action sequences were great, they were well performed and the fight choreography was great as well.

Cinematography = 10/10 Acting = 9/10 Overall = 10/10

In-regards to acting, Willem Dafoe was by far my favourite actor in this entire film. He stole the show every time he was on screen, same with Alfred. Tom Holland's best performance as Spider-Man, for sure. [PERSONAL COMMENTS] When Tobey and Andrew came in, it was great, it was extremely comical and just made sense. I think they did it well, so it wasn't cringe or something. My favourite scene was when the three spider-men were talking, it was just great. I also enjoyed the final fight scene overall, and the mirror dimension fight that was very good. Possibly the saddest moment was when Aunt May died, I wanted to cry, it was so good and the emotion was conveyed so well! Great movie, would totally recommend to ANYONE.

also post credit scenes were great as well, hyped for doctor strange in the multiverse of madness and possibly another spider man film with tom?

This movie is a rollercoaster of emotions. I am sure you will cry in the movie theatre atleast 2-3 times. There are many scenes in the movie where the audience went wild. A Masterpiece by Marvel Studios. Marvel Couldn't Have Given A More Special Gift To Their Fans. This movie is so so so much nostalgic. Too Good Of A Movie To Miss. It's a Movie you should watch in the movie theatres if possible as the feeling just hits so well. The debate is, Is Spiderman No Way Home Better Than Avengers Endgame? Well I would like to keep that choice with the audience. In my opinion both films are equally good. Just Wanted To Add A Point if Avengers Endgame concluded the Avengers Franchise and that Nostalgia was too good, then Spiderman No Way Home concluded the Spiderman Franchise. 20 Years is just such a long time, All The Spiderman Movies getting a masterpiece of a conclusion in Spiderman No Way Home was just a grand treat. You had a outstanding cast inCan I just say what a amazing movie this was , to have the old spider man villains back from previous spider man movies was a amazing concept and to have the other two spider man’s back as well is even better. You had a outstanding cast in this movie of course their is the amazing Tom Holland and Zendaya and also Benedict Cumberbatch and the other two spider man’s who are Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire and they were all just amazing. I also recommend if you have time to watch all of the old spider-man movies because then you will know who everyone is in this movie because I have watched all of the spider man movies and boy am I glad that I did because I just understood who everyone else was so much better.

So im not giving anything else away for this movie because you NEED to see it for yourself I highly recommend it this is one of the best marvel movie I’ve seen in awhile it’s up their with the Eternals For me. Also in this movie you’ll be in for a big sad shock so be ready for that but their are also plenty of good surprises and shocks in the movie so it’s not all bad. You have the old villains in their for example you have Doctor Otto Octavius and Green Goblin and a few more too. And also the multi-verse concept is a amazing idea, I expect that Marvel will be able to keep this going for quite a few movies I can imagine just like they did with the infinity stone saga.

Their is plenty of action in this movie and their is some homour and it’s a bit emotional too so their is a bit of everything in this movie. Also make sure you stay around for the post credit scene and for the scene after the credits have finished too because their are some shocks and surprises their for future marvel movies that you will want to see.

So overall what a legendary movie I highly recommend this one and try and see it in 4DX if you can because it just makes the experience so much better because your seat will just be like a rollercoaster it’s mad when Spider-Man swings about you go everywhere but make sure that you hold on to your snacks.

Update: I have saw this movie twice now and I saw it in IMAX this time and it was once again so amazing and I still highly recommend that you watch this movie because it’s just spectacular you definitely need to see it as soon as you can and don’t forget to stay behind after the movie finishes for the post credit scene because you will be shocked.

It is a complex and eventful movie with a lot of surprises. It not only is a fitting and powerful completion of the current MCU spiderman trilogy but surprisingly redeems and strengthens the previous spidermen franchises. The special effects are spectacular, as are the action scenes. As with all spidermen movies, shows, and comics there are a lot of feelings and relationships. At times these are a bit slow but they are well executed. The action scenes are so overwhelming too that honestly your brain needs a breather at times, anyways. The pacing is effective and at times self-aware. The humor is clever and well-timed. The whole theater broke out laughing many times. The primay audience was clearly millennials but they threw in some love for many different ages and demographics. The film does a great job of contrasting different perspectives, especially between cynicism and innocence. It manages multiple redemption arcs and those are quite hard to do well. The movie has a lot of heart, just like it’s predecessors. Tom Holland’s performance was Oscar worthy. There are MCU movies I liked better than this one. I likely won’t rewatch this endlessly as I do deadpool and GoG. Still, i would say this is the best MCU film to date. Incredibly powerful, smart, original, and innovative. Expand

No Way Home has a way of sticking with you and I kept thinking about the movie more and more, and I started to appreciate it more as a result. The movie has a lot of problems, the last 2/3 of the movie started to feel less and less coherent, and the ending of the movie didn't really make much sense. However, everyone does a great job with their performances and you can tell that some of the cast was having a lot of fun. While this movie felt like shallow fanfiction at times, it also felt like a meaningful gift for fans of the "Masked Menace" in others. No Way Home is kind of an entertaining mess. The pieces are all there, they're just a tad out of order. Expand

This is the ultimate spidey movie, with plenty of fun to go around, which of course is most common in the MCU, but also the dramatic weight of responsibilities that was sorely missing from the previous entries. When the dramatic scenes hit, the impact is great. The fact a movie like this exist with the return of the Sam Raimi villains is something that I have yet to process. Even when watching it I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and feeling. It felt like a childhood fever dream.

Out of the three Holland Spidey films, this is by far the best one.

Tom Holland has been great in the past movies, but here I thought he finally made it his own. Holland delivers a great performance, especially in the emotional scenes. ‘Iron Boy jr.’ is no more, and that alone makes me so happy. If you're still in doubt about Tom Holland as Spider-Man, then I think this will finally turn you around, because Holland is so incredible in this movie. He fully embodies the struggle, but heroic Peter Parker who faces the most difficult choices. The final shot of him in his new home-made suit looked spectacular.

The supporting characters like MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) are always a great edition in Peter’s journey. The chemistry between Peter and MJ is strong here. Honestly, out of all the Spider-Man movies, I feel that they relationship is the best.

Jon Watts direction in this movie, in terms of action, camera work, and just film making in general is a massive improvement this time around. The action scenes were memorable and creative, sometimes brutal. There’s one scene where Peter Parker, who is in the room filled with villains in an apartment, his Spidey senses are triggered, but doesn’t know where the danger is coming from. The way it was shot: the camera locked onto Holland, giving his steady movements around the space more motion, everything blurred out, trying hard to pinpoint where it’s coming from. A tense scene that was well done.

Michael Giacchino score for the movie perfectly mixes the grand superhero theme, but also the emotional weight of the scenes as well.

Now it’s not a secret at this point of the returning villains, both from the Sam Raimi version: Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Sandman, and the Mark Webb version: Electro and Lizard. None of these are just cameos or soulless nostalgia bait, but they actually serve the story and have an actual impact on Holland’s Spider-Man.

Alfred Molina's performance as Doc Ock was great and him returning to this role 17 years later didn’t feel dated; he fits back into it. His character arc wasn’t miss handled from ‘Spider-Man 2’, but instead is further expanded on respectfully. Also, the De-aging on him looked great. Jamie Foxx finally gets some justice after his version of Electro was ruined in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Willem Dafoe returning as Green Goblin in this movie was nothing short but brilliant. Really menacing, scary, and more ruthless than he was in the 2002 film. He might be the best MCU villain, as he doesn’t want to take over the world, or to be understood or agreed with, he just wants to cause pain and chaos. It helped that he was maskless throughout the movie where we get to see his evil gleefulness come through. "Strong Enough to Have It All...TOO WEAK TO TAKE IT!" - brilliant.

Benedict Cumberbatch makes a mystical appearance as Doctor Strange, who helps Peter out by crafting a spell to make the world forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man after having his identity revealed in the last movie. There’s a great and visually pleasing chase scene that takes magic and science in a creative and fun spin.

Now since the movie has been out for a while now, I feel confident in talking about some major reveals.

The return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield is a sight to behold. I still can’t get my head around them returning. They were more than a throw away cameo but played a massive impact to Holland’s Spidey. Andrew Garfield finally gets his time to shine, as he was truly excellent in this. I never understood why people considered him the “worst Spider-Man”. He was the victim of bad writing. His emotional reaction to saving the MCU’s MJ, something he couldn’t do for his Gwen, was such a gut punch. Yep, he really is amazing.

The interaction between all three Spider-Men wasn’t wasted at all and was a blast to watch. Hearing Danny Elfman’s Spider-Man (2002) - theme playing briefly in the background whilst in the cinema was just…goosebumps. The short scene between Maguire and Molina was a touching reunion.

Also, the appearance of Charlie Cox returning as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil was such a shock but a welcoming one. The movie is far from perfect, but right now I'm just happy with what I saw. I walked out of the cinema satisfied.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is fine. Having three spidermen in a movie is really cool and the emotional moments of the movie really hit. That being said the story is just awful. It is one of the most thoughtless stories the MCU has done. The entire way the issue occurred with Dr. Strange was so dumb and careless. Why would he do such a risky spell without consulting Peter first? Also the other spidermen don't show up until the end when the other villains have been running through NYC for the entire movie. Also the idea of fixing the villains was lazy. It took the spidermen like half an hour in the lab to find the cures when it originally seemed impossible. Why did the other MJs not come back? Plus peter and strange fighting was so impulsive and not fleshed out. Also, the final fight scene was in pitch black. I am just tired of these ending battles in the dark where it is hard to see everything. The high points of this movie are the best in MCU, but low points are also some of the lowest in MCU. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expectations and hype can be harmful sometimes, because they can be so big that a movie cant quite possibly reach them. And thus, I actually wanted to see the movie a second time to double check my feelings on it.

But its been a while and I think I have digested the movie quite enough to pretty much have a very concise opinion about it even if I see it more times. - And overall, I can agree on it being good, and yet still feel somewhat dissapointed with it. Let me explain, and for that I may have to talk some spoilers.

As a story and the final movie to a trilogy, the path for Spiderman and his growth as a character is quite good, and everything that happens in the movie purposedly pushes his character development and at the end, its very clear the importance of the events gone through here. And thats a good thing and I do believe thats how it should have been. I applaud the director and the writers for not derailing too much from the main focus, which is their own MCU Spiderman.

Still, having all the villains from the past Spiderman characters, Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield´s own Spiderman as well, is a concept that just screams for off the wall action and excitement and this is ironically the one point where the movie faulters. Seeing those characters, specially with the uncertainty of their appearance in the movie, was always going to be exciting, but could they have possibly handle their first appearance more un-excitedly?

This unfortunately extends to the final action scene which is the only one that has the other 2 Spideys, which by itself, is already kind of dissapointing. I think we all imagined quite the epic undertakings, but its only this one fight and it isnt that spectacular - it lacks tension and also lacks true standout moments for each of them. Sure, a lot of boxes are checked, like Tobey meeting Otto, and Andrew´s Peter saving MJ, but everything feels less exciting than it should be. The direction here and the tone for everything is misshandled comepletely in my opinion.

Writing this I do realize that maybe this is a director issue more than the actual concept of it all. But I found the movie to be good only for its checking of the boxes and also for its good implications for the character at hand, but the excecution of it all was very underwhelming if I am honest. No Way Home has everything to be Infinity War/ End Game material, but it isnt, and I find that a missed opportunity.

To keep this review spoiler-free it will have to be brief. Although the beginning could've been handled better, seeing iconic characters come back after so long, some even almost from 2 decades ago like Doc Ock and Green Goblin was just too incredible, to where I could ignore any mediocre reason for it all happening. (That wasn't a spoiler as they were in the trailers) Plus, it makes sense for someone young like peter and someone overconfident like strange to have that outcome. I highly recommend rewatching all the spiderman movies old and new just to get a refresher as events from those two movies are mentioned throughout. Probably one of the most awesome cinema experiences since Avengers: Endgame. Don't Pirate or stream this one, this is one you won't regret paying to go see on the big screen. Expand
