This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie is a nice gift for anyone who is a Spider-Man fan, it's not just fan service, the movie works really well, and the three Spiders only improve the show. But even without them, the movie would still be wonderful. Of course they improve everything infinitely, but the villains, the events, it all works so well, for me it trumps Spider-Man 2 from the original trilogy, and takes on the post of best hero film in te history. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie had the makings of one the would surely disappoint from all the hype that was built up and the absurd amount of plot lines going on. I was expecting a Spider-Man 3 level of wasted potential... But somehow they were not only able to pull it off, they exceeded my expectations... Everything I was hoping for was there and they still managed to surprise me multiple times. This is also the moment I've been waiting on. Tom Holland's Spider-Man finally became Spider-MAN. He finally got out of the shadow of Tony Stark and stopped being the kid that screws up and has to fix his mistakes. I can't wait to see what direction they take it from there because that ending is perfect and not one I ever expected them to go. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The fan service was amazing but if looking at it from a non emotional perspective or someone who didn't have background on the previous cameo actors then the movie itself doesn't hold up very high on its own. I didn't appreciate the way the bad guys went good straight away then went bad straight away. The death was unnecessary and the scenes were not anything too impressive. That being said with the fan service that went as far as it did, which I didn't expect it was atleast a 7/10. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've seen this movie now twice, and I can safely say it's my favorite Spider-Man film. This movie had no business being this good. All it needed to be was a quirky introduction to the multiverse slathered with fan-service. Tom Holland could have just joked around with his buds and the movie would have made billions, and it would have accomplished what it set out to do. But instead, what we got was a slugger to the gut. One of the finest casts I've ever seen in a film with each one bringing their A game would have been enough as well (and we got just that), but NO. The writers decided to ALSO hit us with a death blow to Aunt May, fulfilled character arcs for several characters--in this universe and others--and the perfect conclusion to Tom Holland's Peter Parker trilogy wrapped in gut-wrenching depression with a tinge of bittersweet satisfaction. The MCU Spider-Man saga could have ended here and I'd have been blown away ultimately, but they still intend to do more with this character going forward: this poor, distraught, heroic, broken, courageous boy who sacrificed literally everything to be the hero the world needed in that moment. He carries the burdens of his failures into a world where no one else will have to face the ramifications of them but himself. I am still feeling pain for Peter, and I did not go into this calling myself a Spider-Man fan. This film has made me one, and I love it to my core.

What I liked most were the acting performances, most notably from Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, and Tom Holland (who has his career performance to date in this film). Andrew's Peter got a wonderful completion to his forgotten saga and Tobey's Peter is clearly arced during this film, and he plays the role of the elder Spider-Man excellently. I also loved the execution of Aunt May's death. They made her relevant in a believable way and gave her the end that would propel this Spider-Man into a league of his own. The thematic conclusion for Tom's Peter was the cherry on top of a bombastic, yet darker blockbuster epic.

The elements I was not a fan of, however, were the way in which the Spider-Mans were introduced, some of the villains having questionable motives, and the fact that I'm still nervous about what this does to the MCU as a whole, but probably only because I have no real idea where they go from here with Peter, and I have my concerns about what they might be gearing up to do, but I'll hold my breath until the next one. There were also some sloppy editing moments, especially in the final one-on-one fight with the Green Goblin. But ultimately I can look past a lot of the heavy CGI and excessive action-sequence cuts because there were far more strong suits, such as the CGI fight with Doctor Strange that had little to no cuts at all and was a beautiful sequence.

All in all, this was a spectacular film for what I went in expecting. Not a perfect one, but if you're expecting the Godfather, you're in the wrong theater. This is a fun, colorful, exciting, eventful, emotional flick that should have any moviegoer pleased with the result. Marvel still deeply cares about its work some thirteen years later, and that does put a smile on my cynical face. For me, it gets a 9.2/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The end result lived up to the hype. To every hack writer in movie/TV, forget your idea of subverting expectations. Deliver a product that exceeds expectations through exceptional execution. This movie did exactly that. There were several "spoilers" that the masses saw coming a mile away. But, when said spoilers revealed themselves, people still squealed/clapped/gasped in the cinema because the execution was fantastic. This movie is right up there with Raimi's Spider-man 2 and Into the Spiderverse with respect to my favorite Spider-man movies released.

On that note, the movie wasn't flawless. Speaking of hack writing, whoever thought it was a good idea to have Green Goblin stab Spider-man (Maguire) near the end, please leave the movie industry entirely. To have him get stabbed, then walk it off and quip "it's not the first time I've been stabbed" was nothing short of cheap writing - no payoff. If you don't have the bravery to kill him off, don't have him get stabbed. What was the point?

Also, I may need to rewatch it because I don't understand the ending. In the beginning, Peter was going to wish that no one would know he was Spider-man. He mucks that up and Dr. Strange decides not to finish casting the spell. Much later... Green Goblin destroyed the box that was holding together time/space and would have returned all of the characters to their multiverse. Everyone from alternate universes who knew Peter was Spider-man was entering the MCU universe. For reasons beyond our understanding, completing the original spell would restore everyone to their correct universe and seal the "cracks" in the multiverse. Sure, I can get that. These people are only entering the universe because they know Peter is Spider-man, so forgetting that would set everything right. But why did the spell suddenly turn into "everyone forgets Peter exists" rather than simply forgetting Peter was Spider-man? Perhaps I missed some dialogue that explains this. However, it feels like a cheap way to get a somewhat fresh start. I also don't understand how that would work - and this is coming from a guy who just goes with things like people who blipped in planes, came back safe on the ground because "Smart Hulk" wished it so. Like, are there yearbooks out there will empty spaces where Peter's picture used to be? Do MJ and Ned just have gaps in their memory when they were hanging out 1-on-1 with Peter? Does MJ think it's weird her social media pages say she's in a relationship with some random guy? This "solution" creates more questions than it does solve anything.

Even with the ending having two things I felt were the result of lazy writing, I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

This new approach to the Marvel universe, the world of parallel universes, which began with the show "What if," will, in my opinion, achieve a qualitative leap and great success.
The movie is full of comedy, suspense, and excitement, the amount of feelings and passion is great to the point where sometimes you get feelings of joy and other times you see that intense sadness, great sadness to the point where you feel like crying, the amount of tragedies that Spider-Man went through from losing loved ones to friends, the idea of collecting the three heroes who played this character is very wonderful and thought the universes, The parallel provided justification for changing the actors who had previously played this character, as well as saving the evil.

It is fun, but vapid. Dr. Strange's power levels has no continuity in this, as he now can causally alter the entire MULTIVERSE, which makes him far more powerful that the entire Infinity Gauntlet (with all the stones). This means he should be very easily to do anything, yet the plot does not allow that. Also, you need to ignore that Spider-man (at least one of them) gets innocent people killed yet just shrugs it off. Nice to see that heroes do not blame themselves for reckless behavior. The excuse of many defenders of this movie is that they had "good intentions" and this just shines a light on modern society and it's failure to understand that is not acceptable, especially for a hero. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I didn’t think I would love this movie as much as I do. Probably my favourite Spiderman movie of all time. It looks great, it sounds great and it is amazing. My main issue is the whole reason for all the crazy multi-verse stuff happening. Now if you look past that you find that this is a real gem of a film.

Peter wants everyone to forget that he’s Spiderman, except for MJ, Ned, Aunt May and maybe one or two more. Dr Strange is given those exceptions midway during him casting the spell. Why not just hash it out beforehand instead of just jumping to ‘brainwashing the world’. That’s not like Dr. Strange’s character to do something like that. Peter’s character would be a little wishy washy like that since he has been so far in this MCU but the doctor is smart and has a thinking brain. He might even talk Peter out of it or make sure that they get the parameters of the spell correct before casting it. Ridiculous!

Everything else is brilliant. Bringing Daredevil into the universe I absolutely love it. Are we going to see a stand-alone movie or a series with him. I hope so. And if so I will get Disney Plus for that series or movie. Love that character. I nearly cried when I saw him.

But that wasn’t the only returning character. The three Spidermans were on screen together. It wasn’t just cameos, they were proper supporting characters in this movie. And the way they had Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman catch MJ felt like it was closing his arch. A second chance for redemption after he was unable to save Gwen. That was beautiful. Toby’s Spiderman showed why he’s the GOAT. He is wise and offered what useful information Tom Holland’s character needed to hear.

The way the movie ended I didn’t care for, not because it was bad no, it wasn’t the ending I wanted. And that venom teaser we got a few months back was a bluff it turns out. Eight I think is fair. It is leaning on the nostalgia factor a little bit but it works. Really cool they got the cast that they got.

It made me feel the pain and the toughness of being Spider-Man. It's a really good fan-service. Andrew's Spider-Man was great. No Way Home did more to Andrew than his two standalone movies. This trilogy was actually an origin story of MCU's Spider-Man. It covers all the problems with other movies. My only problem is that Dr. Strange was downplayed a bit, but it has so many good characters, especially Electro and Green Goblin. Really one of the best movie ever made by Marvel. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It was everything I could ask for in a multiverse film, with most of the previous villains, all of the previous spider-men (that feels wierd to say). There was even tons of emotion. When aunt may died after green goblin knew how he died to when everyones mind is wiped so there is now no one but Peter (1) in his own life. And the post credits scene... Well it's safe to say the MCU has just given themselves some very nice future films. I've got so many theories bouncing around in my head. One of the best films ever created. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fan-service?!, many bad reviews just claim this. In my case, this is the only reason why I am giving this movie 4/10 but the truth is... the plot doesn't hold up, the acting is mediocre, the special effects are truly bad (Doc Oc. looked more realistic in Spider-man 2 nearly 20 years ago), and oh God, the cars that are smashed in the bridge fight are so awfully rendered that the PS4 Spider-man game looks way better. Yeah, it had many great characters, yeah it had many great heroes and villains from the other movies, but still... I left the movie so disappointed!!! It really felt that Marvel and Sony wanted to copy everything that worked in all the other Spider-man movies and Avengers and throw everything in a single 2:30 movie, the result is that no single character is developed in this movie! Yes, I watched every other single movie but I really couldn't care less about any character this time, because each character screen time was completely insignificant. Not to mention the scene in which Ned brings the two spidey's to help, oh God, what a mediocre and absolutely ridiculous scene!!! I honestly have no idea how so many people that claim to be fans have been giving this absolute mass of a movie a 10/10 or 5-start rating... Expand

The directors brought in major actors and villains from the previous movies like the original and the amazing spiderman. Sadly i wasnt a fan of the new take of MCU's spiderman in the first place, its less spiderman like and less peter parker, less NYC, and more Tom holland and his fellow friends. It aint a 9-10 as some claim it to be, tho i wish it was! It really needed more of toby and andrew in it and also more of the villains which were completely discarded in this movie, to a point that they are pretty much forgettable which is sad! You have the green goblin, dr octo octavius, electron etc.. and you barely get a background check on them nor rewind, and here is tom to save the day, defeat bad guys, and take place for tobey and andrew. Overall, i would say, just wait till you can rent it on youtube for cheap. I really wanted to see more tobey save the day, with andrew and tom, and have a longer, more enjoyable time knowing the characters. But i didnt get that, and the action was so little, and the movie is so short so dont worry about holding your weewee the entire movie. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie ends the Homecoming trilogy wonderfully. It took me through one hell of a ride and this, this is how fan service is done. (Spoiler warning ahead). This movie made me fall in love with Tom Holland's Spider-Man and makes me understand something: From Civil War to No Way Home, this was the MCU Peter's coming of age story. Seeing Charlie Cox return, all three Spider-Men together, and all these villains returning to kick ass? So good, thank you Marvel and Sony for this amazing ride. Tom Holland's Spider-Man has a fresh start with how this movie ended, and they teased something BIG at the end. I can't wait for what's ahead, with Venom, potential X-Men and Fantastic Four crossovers, and Young Avengers all with the new trilogy they're planning. The future sure is bright for Spider-Man. And we got Across the Spider-Verse: Part 1 and 2 to keep us occupied until Tom Holland returns. Expand

It's likely not too much of a stretch to say that Spider-Man could be the most widely marketed superhero of all time, with only maybe Batman giving him a run for his money in that department. I've seen the character in so many different formsIt's likely not too much of a stretch to say that Spider-Man could be the most widely marketed superhero of all time, with only maybe Batman giving him a run for his money in that department. I've seen the character in so many different forms and incarnations over the years that after Far From Home I honestly thought I was getting Spider-Man'd out. Upon finishing this however, I'm now wondering if instead I'm just not that much of a fan of the MCU's take. Seeing all the bits and pieces pulled from the previous silver screen adaptations of Peter Parker made me realize exactly how much I'd be down for a fourth Raimi movie or even a third Amazing. Another Tom Holland standalone though? Despite loving Homecoming and there being nothing inherently wrong with this or its other direct sequel, I'd pass in favor of seeing his story continue in one the universe's shared outings for a few reasons.

The first might simply be Jon Watts. It's no secret that when you sit down to watch a Marvel flick you're in for lengthy ride. Their very best releases however are able to somewhat prevent you from realizing this in the moment by how well they keep you engaged with the studio's established mix of humor, heart, and action. Watts is using the exact same formula, but has been unable since his first entry to apply it a manner that's kept me from feeling every excruciatingly long second of the 2 hour+ running-times in either of his two Home (Far From and now No Way) follow-ups. Then there's the supporting cast. I don't care about the likes of Ned Leeds or "Happy" Hogan the way I have the Harry Osborns and Gwen Stacys of the past, while the original interpretations of returning staples such as Aunt May and MJ are nowhere near as endearing. An unfortunate fact given what a large role they all play in these films and probably the best example of how not every aspect of the MCU's unique vision for Spider-Man has been for the better.

None of that is to say this isn't worth watching. It's just what kept the biggest MCU event since Endgame from hitting home with me personally. When it's delivering on all of its wildest rumors however, even I was elated. Not every of promise gets fulfilled as it turns out stuff like the mid-credits scene in Let There Be Carnage was a complete waste of everyone's time, but there's enough here to make for a longtime Spidey fan's ultimate wet dream. I particularly loved how it gave me the slightest bit of insight into what the lives of certain characters were like after where they ended up the last time I got to see them onscreen. The whole thing also serves as a soft reboot of the titular hero that takes him back to his roots so the future is as always open to a wide range of interesting possibilities. Whether one of those potential directions it can go in will cause me to finally embrace Holland the way I did Tobey and, yes, even Garfield is another matter, but at least my curiosity as to what may come next has cautiously been piqued following a period when it had waned almost entirely.

The story is nostalgic in nature but doesn't do it with cameos. I does it with giving each characters a real part in the movie. The humour is strong and there is a lot of youthful moments. The FX had a nice balanced into it. And I really like how they worked the soundtrack. The actors are superb. Many of them do they roles with a lot of subtleties and that makes the final product feels less tacky. That doesn't mean that everything is very logic. And one, out of the blue power, just seem to serve the movie more then the story. Still, I give it 82%. I really enjoyed it and those who are fans of the character Spiderman, should go see it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought that this movie would disappoint me when I first heard about it as I thought it would ruin the older beloved Raimi characters as well as be very childish and kid friendly in the tone. However I am happy to say that is not what I got as what I got was a masterpiece. First off the tone is dark and most of the comedy in this movie is done much better then most of the childish MCU movies. 2nd the tone is very dark at times and it really gives Tom Holland Peter Parker depth. Also the villains especially Green Goblin were all fantastic as they have understandable motivations and are developed decently. The story and plot, as well as the pacing are all pretty decent. The soundtrack in this movie was great way better then the two Tom Holland movies. The action is all breathtaking and the fan service in this movie is very well done, much better then Endgame imo.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie was exciting and all, but it suffers from the lack of a plot unless a main character does something unnaturally stupid. Also the multiverse thing doesn’t make much sense, why just spiderman characters? Why only 2 and not 7 billion different versions at the same time? What makes peter decide its ok to try to fix everything without pushing the button? I mean, the multiverse is broken because of you, you have no clue of what’s going to happen, what if billions of people get transported to your reality and people die by being crushed by each other? Anyway, the movie then goes fine and fun, but then parker tried to fix the villians, which would be fine if I wanted to watch a bubble guppies movie. This plotline takes away anything interesting from the villians and destroys what made them fun. Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of the MCU, do I did not take it seriously. Also, I watched the other 2 holland movies in spanish, but this one in english. Does hollands accent always show? I noticed it in a bit almost by the end, makes me feel the movie was rushed like, couldn’t they try another take with a more american accent? Why does the kid from queens sound like the cast of derry girls? Expand
