Now while it certainly is no "The Dark Knight" it is a fun two and a half hour movie. The narrative in the movie does struggle along, but folks lets get honest with ourselves this is Batman v. Superman I don't think there is any extraordinary narrative necessary, it is quite simply a battle of the titans. While you won't walk out of the theater amazed, I do think you will walk out saying "that was a pretty cool movie" and maybe just maybe you'll have a little hope for the future of cinematic DC. It's just left people kind of dissapointed. People expected an unforgettable mind blowing 20 minute fight scene between Batman and Superman when what we got was just 3 minutes of them pushing each other around. The film is 1% Batman V Superman and 99% Dawn of Justice. Basically a 2 hour and 30 minute teaser to the Upcoming Justice League movies. The other thing I had a problem with was the fact that Doomsday looks more like Michael Bay's version of the Ninja Turtles than the actual Doomsday. My last complaint is the awkward pacing and messy plot. Everything else about the film is actually pretty good. Cinematography is beautiful, soundtrack is mind blowing, and action sequences are cool. It's actually an enjoyable film but gets a lot of things wrong. Gets a 6/10 from me. Expand

Batman: "Tell me, do you bleed? You will".

Dutch: "If it bleeds, we can kill it".

Superman has become the savior of Metropolis - but also a threat to many who fear his god-like abilities could lead to disaster. Gotham City's own Batman is among them, and he goes to confront the Man of Steel - but as these two titans clash, a new evil arises - one that poses a far greater threat to mankind.

The wait is finally over everyone, but was it worth waiting three years for? kind of. But how amazing is it that two of the most iconic superheros of all time are finally facing off with each other in one single movie. Unfortunately, not everyone was excited for it after the very mixed 'Man of Steel', as fans either loved it, liked it or hated the movie. Everyone was Curious, but also worried about Zack Snyder directing this movie, since he normally choices style over substance in his movies. Everything got worse when it comes to news, as the movie kept getting delayed, some casting choices that people got really angry over and the fact that movie was too crowed with it's characters. But hey, maybe Snyder has learnt from his mistakes from Man of Steel and might actually give us the faithful Frank Miller adaptation we've been waiting for.

After seeing the movie myself and letting it sink in for a while, I don't think this movie was terrible or good, but it could have been much better then the one we got. Batman v Superman has many problems with the plot, pacing and characters, but there's also some good things in it as well that I will get to later on in the review.

I think Zack Snyder took a bold move by taking the biggest criticism of "Man of Steel" was that Superman lets way too many people die (or just wasn't heroic enough), into the main story line of Dawn of Justice. I think it's a great way of replying back to the biggest problems fans or moviegoers had with Man of Steel, as it shows that you are aware and care of what people say. In this movie, Snyder sure dose make it as close as the comic when it comes to visuals and making it seem like the comic is leaping out of the comic book page on to the big screen, but sadly, Zack Snyder did what I feared he would do and that's doing the style over substance, with pretentious symbolism and very messy directing. Just when I thought he would fix the problems from Man of Steel, but instead make bigger problems in this movie. Now I don't want to give off the impression that I'm disliking Zack Snyder, because I don't want to, as I think he is a brilliant visual director with many ideas that doesn't always work out. I'm not a hater Snyder, but I had to be honest with you.

Ben Affleck as Batman was probably the biggest "WTF" casting ever and even I was a bit turned off by it when it was first announced, since at the time I wanted Josh Brolin to be cast as Batman. But just like Michael Keaton as Batman, Daniel Craig as James Bond and Heath Ledger as The Joker, we were all wrong to judge something without seeing it and that's once again the case here, as Ben Affleck wasn't the worse part of this movie, but rather the best part. Ben Affleck absolutely nailed it as Batman and I'm glad he proved everyone wrong. It's always a pleasure seeing annoying fanboys being proven wrong (like always). I can't wait to see that solo Batman movie starring Ben Affleck.

The fight scenes between Batman & Superman was really short and I wish it was a little longer, but it was enjoyable. Jeremy Irons as Alfred was excellent and perfect casting choice. Henry Cavill did a decent job playing Superman and the music in the film was pretty good. Gal Gadot did fine as Wonder Women, but her acting was a bit wooden and I hope she dose improve in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie that's coming out in 2017.

Now for the problems: Jesse Eisenberg was god awful as Lex Luther. I don't understand how some people think he's performance was good in this movie, because he was really cringe worthy and laughable. People will find away to defend his performance and over analysis the sh*t out of it to the point where it's really reaching for it. I don't put all the blame on Eisenberg, since it's mostly the directing and the writing that's the blame. It's awful to see a good actor like Jesse Eisenberg sadly being miss cast in a role that should have went to someone else.

Doomsday is in this movie and this isn't a spoiler as it's already been spoiled in the trailers and advertisements. Doomsday is one of the best villains in DC comics, because it's best known for being the one that killed Superman, but in this movie he's nothing but a big CGI monster that was shoehorned in the last few minutes. Also Doomsday looks like that troll monster from Fellowship of the Ring mixed with a Ninja Turtle. It's that bad.

The film itself is joyless and kind of dull at times, because every superhero movie (Mostly DC films) always try to be that dark and gritty movie that it's never going to be. This is 2 hours & 22 minutes of DC trying to catch up with Marvel, now I'm not comparing this to Marvel movies like some critics are, but it's very noticeable that this movie is leeching off the Marvel formal of setting up future movies.

Overall Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a very messy movie that really dose lose focus on what it's doing. This is called "Batman v Superman", how is this movie not the most awesome thing in the world? it's kind of disappointing just thinking about it. If you like this movie and disagree with me on the problems I had with this movie, then that's fine and I'm glad you enjoyed the movie better than I did.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wow, all the buildup to this movie, the PR people must be well paid because they bamboozled everyone. This movie was so ultimately boring!!the first hour was mind-numbing, Lois Lane was awful, Bruce Wayne is just an angry, sulking sullen spoilt rich kid with no personality, and superman is now a lovesick puppy bodyguarding his girlfriend with whom he lives and cooks for. WTH!! . He's a God in the DC universe!!! Yet again the American parliament is portrayed as so powerful they can
call a man who they have built a statue in honour of to answer for his
actions...the actions which he undertook with the full support of the
American military in the first place!! All it portrayed was how fickle
the US government is and quick to turn on their saviour. Bruce Wayne says something ultimately moronic about even if there's a one percent chance Superman is their enemy it must be taken as a certainty...WHAT THE F@#@$#@$??! Any rational person would say we're lucky that 99% of a God is on our side. Also thanks for re-inventing the character of Batman completely, now that he shoots and kills people it makes it that much more entertaining, even though it flies in the face of Batman's one and only rule that has been his anchoring trait in every battle of his crime-fighting career since the inception of the character. Lol, Superman flying with the kryptonite spear, he gets marks for spunk, but since kryptonite to him is like cyanide to us, it is rather confusing. Lets not even get into the fact that they let Superman 'die', not only that but long enough that they could plan a funeral for him :D. We ALL KNOW superman is a major part of the Justice League, why waste anyone's time making us go through false sorrow just so some girl can squeeze onto her dates arm giving him the signal that maybe he's in the running to get some after the movie. ...use the time to maybe throw in another action sequence to add to the other 3 scenes. Very disappointing!Especially since this is hot on the heels of probably the best superhero movie ever, Deadpool. Deadpool was extremely entertaining. I expected colossal action sequences in BvS, instead, it felt like a spy film noir exercise. The most entertaining thing of the movie was finding new pockets of salt at the bottom of my popcorn. The dream sequences were so moronic, wow. how did they get through the storyboard stage? What was the point of them?! they just wasted our time. Literally. They were a pure waste of time. How much money did those scenes cost? Exactly from where did Bruce come across anyone or anything that would cause him to dream of someone warning him that 'Lois is the key'...which wasn't a cliche vague line at alllll. Lois Lane had no reason to exist in this film other than to make the female viewers hold their boyfriends arm that much tighter saying aww he's so sweet. She added no value to the plot or even Superman's character. Lex Luthor...wow...one of the iconic villains in all of comics is now a kid who inherits his dad's company and plays basketball like a hipster in his lobby. Oh and just a quick mention of the actual fight between batman and superman. ... Done..that's what the fight felt like. One, Two, done. DC are really losing the plot. Deadpool has officially killed the DC Cinema universe. Dark Knight, ironically, was a shining bright spot of DC cinema.

Batman Vs Superman. With the failure of this central point all the other weaknesses in the plot come apart and cascade to the floor like paper-mache rubble on a warnerbrothers sound-stage.

At a certain point in this movie you, the audience member, get it. You can understand why batman needs to confront superman. You don't really understand why superman will need to fight batman but you can hope there will be a reason, you can see why they would fight. You can see the divide between them. in the moment of truth after all the lead up. After the movie has all but convinced you that a conflict is not only inevitable but nessisary... that conflict never happens.

Oh we see superman and batman fight once, but while batman is fighting for what he truely believes in, fighting for the reasons most of the movie has told you he must fight. Superman is fighting because (spoilers) a villein told him to do it 30 seconds before hand. Once this evil villeins plan is made clear to batman (8 minutes later) suddenly batman and superman become instant friends. That philosophical divide between them that the movie spent so much time establishing is still there, all the many real reasons for batman to require the destruction of superman are still there. But they are ignored because there is suddenly a villein... and then another villain and then another villain... This whole sequence is made worse becuase in this moment of "truce" where batman realizes that a villain is manipulating superman. the two characters never actually communicate, superman and batman never even share a single line of dialog they never come to understand each-other and their differences.

the following 45minuets of visual effects showing batman and superman join forces is nothing more than an emotionless theme park ride. the movie convinced us that there was a deep fundamental divide between these two characters that needed to be reconciled but instead of reconciliation or rivalry or understanding or actual invested conflict.. the entire film excuses the characters from actualy even attempting to resolve their differences.

watch a super powered villin destroy yet another city in a brawl with superman. watch batman make sacrafices and compromises in a crusade that is in the end made for no purpose. see flashy fights and the best bruce wane we have ever seen... but dont expect to see character development. dont expect to see emotional pay off.

watch the first 20 min and go home haveing seen a pretty good batman short.

watch the last 20 minuets and see a terriblely rushed rendition of the (spoilers) "death of superman" comic book

watch the middle and you see a confused jumble of poor editing, strange unmotivated character action and a lack of decent plot

Don't believe anything the critics have written. For this movie to have been given such a low rating by them means either that they wouldn't know good if it slapped them in the face or they were expecting B vs S to be another Marvel movie. This is not Marvel. Now I'm not putting down Marvel movies. I've seen them all and liked them, some more than others of course. But this movie has a much more intense storyline and let's face it, there is no one in the Marvel Universe (except perhaps Punisher) who is anything like Batman. As far as I'm concerned, this movie blew the Marvel movies out of the water. I loved the story. The acting is superb. It has heart and I found myself actually caring about the characters. It was what I wanted it to be and hoped for but wasn't sure I would get. I loved it. Expand

This movie is a special gift from Zack Snyder for its comic-book fans.

Those references to Dark Knight Returns, The Death of Superman, a glimpse of A Death in the Family comic-book story-lines successfully create hype among the fans. Not only that, Zack Snyder has perfectly built the foundation for future Justice League movies by integrating the characters into the story. For me, this is more to Justice League prequel movie, rather than a Batman or Superman movie.

The tone is dark. Yes, ultra dark and gritty, that many people and critics complain about. Well, for me, this is fine. Since beginning, DC intentionally made this movie dark, with philosophical serious theme about good and evil, gods and men. I can enjoy it.

Now the actors. Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg did the job very well! Need some more exploration of this version of Batman, though (Batman solo movie, please). Henry Cavill? No doubt, he is always perfect as modern-version of the Man of Steel.

A little bit complicated narrative style – but for me it was okay. After watching the movie 2 times, I got everything perfectly.

Well done!

Excellent cinematography. Simply put it's visually spectacular.
Excellent beginning.
Unpredictable ending.
Hans Zimmer's score.

THE BAD:
It's a rushed setup film for the Justice League, so it's crammed with too many plots/sub-plots.
Bad editing, disjointed scenes (once again due to too many plots)
Main antagonist's motives are unclear.
Some minor plot holes.
Slow middle.
Unnecessary cameo from one particular superhero (could have been a simple end credit scene).

Summarize it''s no masterpiece and there are certainly much better superhero films out there but it isn't a terrible film by any means.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Batman v Superman Review, Minor Spoilers
___________________________________

The producers of Batman v. Superman try very hard to produce a very good quality film (or even a great film). The final product is entertaining to a certain extent, but to be honest, it misses the mark. To me the film is worth about 7 out of 10 largely because the picture/ cinematography is very good, the action scenes are good, and most of the actors do a very good job (the one exception being Jesse Eisenberg). Also every DC comic book fan is going to love seeing Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman on the big screen. This film excels in using references from other DC movies or referring to other DC characters. The casting (with the exception of Jesse Eisenberg) is very good. Also the movie manages to achieve good diversity in casting because even though none of the major 3 or 4 characters are visible minorities, there are several visible minorities, with speaking parts in this movie.

The major problems with this movie have to do with: (1) the story, (2) a failure to capitalize on the emotional moments in the story, (3) a poorly conceived Lex Luther character, which is poorly explained and (4) the casting of Lex Luther.

(1) The Story The story is not intelligent enough. The story needed to make sense. Many things could have been better explained or better written. For example: Batman and Superman are both supposed to be the good guys. In order to get these guys hating each other you should have a really plausible explanation. The explanation provided in the movie is not plausible. Batman's hatred of Superman in the movie comes across as petty, jealous, egocentric, and maybe even a little childish.

Another thing that does not make sense: how can Superman hear one of his close associates in danger, but someone else (another associate for example) is in danger and Superman does not hear this.

They needed to come up with a better explanation as to how Lex Luther creates that thing that he creates.

There should have been a better explanation in the movie as to why Lex Luther was opposed to Superman and/or Batman.

(2) A Failure to Capitalize on the Emotional Moments in the Story

For example, there is a catastrophic scene (I am not going to spoil it for you). The director and story writers should have milked this scene so that audience would experience the following: shock, awe, crying, for a prolonged period of several minutes. Instead the audience experiences a very brief moment of shock.

(3) A Poorly Conceived Lex Luther Character, which is Poorly Explained

Lex Luther is presented as a pathological character whose personality is extremely similar to that of the Joker as played by Heat Ledger in the 2nd Chris Nolan Batman movie. Nobody needed to see Lex Luther pretend to be the Joker, which is what we got. (In that Chris Nolan movie, the Joker is a well written Character. When he speaks the audience almost finds itself agreeing with him 75 % percent of the time because he accurately points out some of the flaws in modern society and he artfully mixes lies with the truth.) Lex Luther needed to have a different personality. He needed to have his own personality, not the Joker's.

The Lex Luther character would have made more sense as a Machiavellian, psychological manipulator with political ambitions (think of Kevin Spacey's character in House of Cards, but played by a younger actor).

We never get a good explanation of what Lex Luthor plans to do once he gets rid of Superman and/or Batman.

(4) The Casting of Lex Luthor

As mentioned above, the Lex Luthor character presented in this movie is essentially the same personality as the Joker character from the second Chris Nolan Batman movie. No one needed to see Jesse Eisenberg play this character. Jesse Eisenberg is really not good in this role. Perhaps it is too much type-casting on the part of those who did the casting, but this was a really bad choice.

Overall the writers of these movies need to always keep in mind that they are writing these movies for intelligent adults and not just for 4 year olds.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Doomsday, relleno nivel transformers 4 y Spiderman 3. Hacia falta meterlo???? Y asi de Mal??? Para eso ni lo saques, para lo que hace.

Matar a Superman...en serio? La JLA va a ser la muerte y regreso de Superman? Parece que estan intentando hacer el proyecto Superman lives, y lo va a hacer Snyder? No no no....no va a salir bien.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is pretty underrated in my opinion. However, from a critical standpoint, the storytelling is very sloppy, with many scenes simply crammed in next to each other to create a big blob. On a positive note, the action sequences are incredible and Zack Snyder's visual mindset is definitely noticeable while watching Batman v Superman. Ben Affleck surprisingly does very well with the character of Batman, putting his own interpretation on the iconic character, despite Batman killing people in the movie at times, which is very far outside Batman's moral compass in the comic books. Henry Cavill does a good job as Superman, giving a more dark and gritty tone to the role. Gal Gadot is more Diana than Wonder Woman in the film, but her scenes as Wonder Woman play out as some of the best scenes in the movie, and she does a terrific job with the character. Amy Adams as Lois Lane is often simply used as a plot device, as there are scenes where I felt she didn't have to actually be there for anything, but she's just there because I guess she's Superman's girlfriend, but I don't really know what her place is supposed to be in the film. Jesse Eisenberg is miscast as Lex Luthor. He does a good job doing Jesse Eisenberg-ish things, but he just wasn't meant to play Lex Luthor. The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg all have cameo appearances, but how they are presented in the movie is a bit disappointing, and seems very abrupt and just the most convenient way to fit them into he movie's already convoluted plot. The third act is fittingly epic, giving some of the best action I've seen in a superhero movie in along time. It also includes a sacrifice that was very emotionally gripping, but I won't reveal too much information. My biggest concern after watching Batman v Superman was my realization that if you have seen every trailer, you have basically seen all of the important plot points in the movie, aside a few new unseen things and other surprises.

All in all, Batman v Superman doesn't quite live up to expectations, but it delivers a powerful and action-packed---even if messy---story with stunning visuals and great performances, which sets the tone for future Justice League movies and the long-anticipated DC Cinematic Universe.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a very fun movie to watch, at least action wise. It really is a pretty good film. It sure has its glaring issues, which are pretty cringeworthy and immediately spot-able when you watch the film, but in the end, I came out of the theater with mostly positive thoughts. Lex Luthor in the film isn't done as the comic book counterpart, he was more like The Riddler (from Batman Forever) or The Joker, but a very crazy, and somewhat silly Joker. The ending is so emotional, which I won't spoil! Batman is absolutely amazing and the best part of the film, without a shadow of a doubt. Doomsday, unfortunately, looks really bad and (minor spoilers) just kept on exploding, which kinda took me out of the experience. This is a pretty dark film, with one scene which was incredibly funny and I laughed very loudly - great humor in one scene! Also, in the first hour there were quite a bit of boring scenes, but they drove the story forward so I can't say anything. This film is worth watching, but if you don't know too much about these characters or anything, you might not like it AS MUCH as I did. Expand

I went into this movie knowing there are widely mixed reviews. But I came out thoroughly entertained; yes there are plot holes, yes it tries to accomplish a lot in one movie, but I think it still works. As for Doomsday, even though he is supposed to be the toughest villain of all, he's not exactly the most interesting to work with, but he does work well as a device for the heroes to join forces for the more interesting villains to come, in particular Darkseid. As for the plot holes, I suspect some of those will get filled in the movies to come. Expand

This was the best comic book film ever made, alongside Watchmen, Period. The critics are wrong once again, all they seem to do is hate on Zack Snyder but as soon as you see user scores they're high for his films, damn I hate critics

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My husband and I went to see Batman v Superman and we thoroughly liked and enjoyed it. I think Ben Affleck more than redeemed himself as Batman and thought he made Batman. Don't bother with the critic reviews...what do they know. It is the fans that matter and we are the ones that make the difference. I was looking forward to this movie and I was not let down. It was a good movie and I look forward to the future in the franchise. The introduction of Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman was a great addition..especially when they were fighting Doomsday. I was kind of sad about Superman, but I have read the book, the comics and watched the animated series, so I know he will be back. And it doesn't hurt that Henry Cavill is listed in the cast for the future Justice League movie. I saw at the end the dirt move too...All in all, it was one of the movies that I am glad that I went to see and am looking forward to the future movies. Expand

No, far from it, there are a few plot holes, there’s a couple of plots that don’t go anywhere and the plot feels rather confused at times, but for basic story telling, it’s actually pretty good. It tells a decent cohesive story and doesn’t get bogged down in pretentious dialogue like its predecessor did and it has some good central performances. Honestly, I would say it’s probably Zack Snyder’s best film to date, though considering his back catalogue, that’s not saying much. I’m not going to say it’s perfect, because I would be lying to you and to myself, but for what it delivers, it’s pretty good. The action scenes are well shot, the story is cohesive for the most part and I liked the characters and I think the film has some merits to it. It is certainly better than Man of Steel and that film has a higher rotten tomato’s score than this film. I am going to make a prediction that I think comic fans will be divided on this on in the future, however I say it’s good, but not great. It nearly hits the mark and it’s an admirable attempt. Man of Steel may have been a rickety foundation to build the DC Cinematic Universe on, but Batman V Superman reinforces it slightly, but it will need a really strong movie to keep it going. Hopefully the up-coming Suicide Squad movie that comes out in the summer will keep up the momentum. Oh and don’t stick around to the end credits there’s no post credit scene Expand

In every capacity it succeeds to deliver on the promise of a super hero movie. Despite the general slamming of this movie's pacing it is never over-saturated with action or bogged down in the ethics and questions that super heroes would provoke in real life (a subject it deals with in an entertaining, still though provoking way). While some might say this movie has a scatter brained approach to editing and the flow of the plentiful plot lines found in the movie, I say it simply has no time or care for drawn out scenes. It gets done what three Hunger Games movies get done in one movie. Nothing feels rushed, and this is a testament to the understanding of engagement held in this movie's direction. Many have criticized it as sequel bait, but these scenes never interrupt the movie. Instead these references to the future and the past give history and weight to the world not seen in an average super hero movie. Special nod goes to this movies consistent color palette and thematic tone as well. This movie has great production value something which seems unnoticed by most critics today. Don't listen to the critics and give the movie a shot if you are a fan of epic super hero movies Expand

I am REALLY happy I got earlier tickets. When we got out, it was 9pm, and there was only 1 or 2 previews. I think that hurts this movie. I prefer Marvel movies, and I really like the MCU. Because of that, I don't know a lot of the DC history. (I am a big fan of the current CW shows, though).

So, I am pretty sure there were a lot of pieces that went over my head. I have since read some sites talking about easter eggs and explaining parts. That does help the movie. They also just released a deleted scene, that I think explains even more.

So, I'd say as it stands, the movie is good. Not exactly fun, but a good, solid action/super-hero movie. I'd rate it a 7. But, I bumped it 1 more, because the more I read, and learn about it, I really think this movie sets up the coming years quite a bit. I honestly believe that upcoming movies will make pieces of this movie suddenly click into place. That is why I bumped it one more.

I really think Jeremy Irons as Alfred was good. I think Gal Gadot played a very good WW. I am really looking forward to seeing more of her and WW. Henry Cavill was decent. I think Superman was a little on the lame side for most of the movie. I think Ben Afleck did a great Batman. I really like his version, though, I do prefer Bale a bit. Afleck shows that he can be a super-hero... I did not think he could pull it off, after Daredevil. Finally, I think Jesse Eisenberg played a great Lex Luthor. Eccentric, intelligent, thinking/working on a different plane. Diabolical. He played a very interesting character.

I wish the movie had more laughs. There was one big one, in the entire movie. It is a comic book movie, and while I understand the gritty world takes itself VERY seriously, I think you need a few comic beats to really bring the movie together. This one lacked that.

This movie has me really looking forward to what is in store for the DCCU. I am really looking forward to Wonder Woman and Justice League. This is a solid movie, that should be watched at the theater at least once.

Overall, an entertaining movie that was a long delayed teaser for something bigger. Was it a cool action movie? Hell yeah. Was it even close to the level of Nolan and Christian Bale? Hell no. I didn't walk into this thinking it was Oscar worthy, so that helped.

I'll keep this short. Zack Snyder is a little too over-the-top for me. 300 is done, end it. We get it, you like smoke and dark shadows. Henry Cavill lacks charisma, obviously. Ben Affleck did ok. Jesse Eisenburg was horribly casted and kept trying to do a Joker-shtick.

The addition of Wonder Woman and Doomsday is unnecessary and only adds to the convolution. That remains me, the actress who plays Wonder Woman is atrocious. The only actor who did a good job was Ben Affleck. It is a shame that Batman and Superman are unlikeable psychopaths. With a film like this it's difficult to consolidate the negative with the positive, simply because it seems like the problems the naysayers have with the film are not overly concerning those who love the film. I'm part of the latter.

The issues raised with pacing, editing, character investment, and length are all justified. These issues are indeed present in the film, however I take issue with the degree in which these issues have been raised and just how severe they really are.

The film is 2 hours, 31 minutes long. The slightly higher than average run time is warranted due to the fact that the film is indeed trying to set up the new DC cinematic universe but that's where any argument in favor of negative view of "catch up to Marvel" should end. The length of the film isn't to establish a universe so much as it is to allow to spend time in one that you never knew was there.

Anyone who's seen the film could tell you simply because of who Batman is, along with what the other Meta humans (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash) have been up to. This isn't world building so much as it is world introduction.

The issues with pacing and editing are also present but like the argument before, it's presence or lack thereof isn't something worth throwing out the baby with the proverbial bath water. Zack Snyder knows all too well that time is his enemy and setting up the set pieces for the closed story arch is important because unlike other super hero "films" this one stands alone better than most. The question is should the film be poo pooed on because it decided to walk the line of brisk pacing in a select group of scenes? Truth is that while the pacing and editing could be counted as reasons to nitpick the film they never become so offensive as faults to have become warranted reasons to disregard what's being presented.

BvS is one of the greatest super hero films if all time, up there with the first Avengers, The Dark Knight, and a few others because it walked the tightrope critics bashed it for simply attempting it, and because of it's aim for the stars delivered an engrossing, deep, ideological film staring two of the oldest, most storied super heroes we know and it did it better than it has ever been do so far.

This film is a classic, and you owe it to yourself to ignore those that say they know anything and everything about film to see it for yourself and enjoy a healthy serving of fine cinema not offered in other super hero offerings.

Cheers!

DC/Warner is unapologetically not being Marvel, and that's okay. We've just seen so many Marvel movies that the contrast of BvS can be jarring, as they have chosen to dwell on the larger world view of a God being a reality for people and what that means to all sorts of people.

The movie is not without flaws. It is long in the middle, with hard cuts that disrupt the pacing. Lex is very manic, and I personally like my Lex Luthor to be older and more calculating. Most importantly, the tiny plot points that hinted at where this story is going will be completely missed by non-comic readers... which will definitely affect your opinion of the overall film (i.e. Most Critics).

This movie was VERY ambitious, and probably tried to do too much too soon, but it is not horrible. The fact that BvS is 30% worse than the Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Rotten Tomatoes makes me believe that something actually IS up. I would watch BvS 100 more times before watching AS2 once more.

At the end of the day, I am very excited for the universe they are creating, and I'm happy I get to see it.

The action sequences are big and loud and pack a serious punch. It did feel like DC and Warner Bros. were trying to play catch-up with Marvel and included way too many things in this movie. This did cause the plot to be confusing or a bit weak at times. However, they always cleared up my questions and I came out with a clear sense of where this thing is going in the future.

I hated the choice of Affleck as Batman, but after seeing the movie I am sold. Gal Gadot was also great as Wonder Woman. I didn't so much care for Amy Adams as Lois Lane or Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. It felt like they kept throwing Lois into these crazy situations just so Adams could get her screen time. And Eisenberg did a good job of playing crazy, but Luthor is usually more subtle than this. Eisenberg took it way over the top.

POSITIVES:
1) Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
2) Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
3) Fun, big action sequences
4) Lots of comic references for DC fans

NEGATIVES
1) Amy Adams as Lois Lane
2) Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor
3) Some poor CGI (especially during Doomsday's initial introduction)
4) Plot can be a bit confusing/hard to follow.

All in all, I enjoyed this film. I'm also a huge Batman fan so I'm probably a bit biased. But if you enjoy these characters, ignore the critics and see the movie. Is it on par with what Nolan and Christian Bale were doing? No. But I think it's a solid sophomore effort for DC's new cinematic universe and am looking forward to what comes next.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The worst Batman since George Clooney's.
There are MANY elements that make it a bad movie but I'm just gonna focus con Batman.
1. Batman doesn't shoot!!! : They fill the movie with Batman depictions shooting fireguns, either in a dream, or with kriptonite bullets, or from an enemy's hand to shoot another bad guy. Batman swore to never use fire weapons because that's hoy he los his parents. Destroyed the image of Batman.
2. Batman doesn't kill for killing: Stabbing enemies, exploding things, putting thousands of people in danger just to get what he wants... Really???
3. Reason to kill Superman: stupid!: "If there's 1% chance he is the enemy, I must kill him" that's what he says when he decides to kill Superman. Besides he knows that Joker is a serious enemy and has tons of opportunities to kill him, he doesn't. BECAUSE BATMAN DOESN'T KILL, he just neutralizes dangerous people, put them behind the bars and MOVES ON!
That makes it the worst Batman ever, except for George Clooney's.

I felt that Batman had reached his peak with the Dark Knight Rises and it would all be destroyed by this movie and Ben Affleck. I did not like the guy and his acting.

The movie surprised me, a lot. Everyone in the cast did a really good job. What amazed me the most was that Affleck showed us another side of Batman. Bale's Batman has one rule, Affleck's Batman has no rules. He will kill the bad boys.

The movie is gritty and dark, and it is only the PG13/Teen version. I cannot wait for the R version coming out this summer. I feel like the PG13 ruins super hero movies because nobody can die and it is all a bunch of fighting with their fists, but Znyder really distances Justice League from the Avengers' family friendly appeal.

I wish that Wonder Woman had entered the movie earlier, however, I guess she was kept till the end to "force" people to watch her own off-shoot movie. It is all about money people.

The poor ratings by the critics compared with the viewers' rating show once again that critics live in a bubble where they must distance themselves and remain the elite. Do not listen to their reviews. Look at what other people have said instead.

The only bad thing I can say about the movie is that there seems to be some loop holes in the story. I think that they cut too much content out of the PG13 version that the R rated version might do better. We will have to see.

Batman v Superman for me is a complex movie but there is some enjoyment to be had in this movie.

First off the performances,Ben Affleck as Batman was a very good choice,he was just entertaining to watch. Affleck was also equally entertaining as Bruce Wayne as you get to understand why he hates Superman and what he is willing to do take him down. Wonder Woman was one of the best parts in this movie she doesn't have a big role but she just fits into the movie and i wish she could have been in the movie more as Gal Gadot does a good job at portraying Wonder Woman. Now Superman, i think Henry Cavill did the best he could do because Superman is in and out of this movie. At first the world is still struggling on whether Superman is a good guy or not and you get to see Superman struggle to get people on his side, but as the movie goes on the plot of him against the world dies down as the matter of Superman doesn't come to a conclusion.

For a movie called Batman v Superman, the focus on the fight is really focused on Batman's side as he goes on a brutal rampage to take Superman down but Superman himself isn't interested in fighting batman sure there are some signs that he is not a fan of Batman but Superman's side of the story is vague until the actual fight happens.Speaking of the fight, the build up to the fight is too quick and vague, though there is some tension, when the actual fight comes along it just happens with no real build up.The fight was entertaining but rather short, but when Doomsday comes into the picture the action is amped with Batman,Superman and Wonder Woman fight Doomsday and that fight is more entertaining than the Batman v Superman fight which is slightly disappointing for a movie called Batman v Superman.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was a mixed bag for me, if your a fan of Jesse Eisenbrg then you won't be disappointed but for me Jesse as Lex Luthor was too wacky for me, he turned out to be menacing as the movie ends but he didn't have a real motive in this movie, he influences the Batman and Superman fight in some way but doesn't actually have a real agenda and his wackiness sometimes takes you out of the movie a bit.

I didn't really mind the tone of this movie it was dark and that's the way it should have been.Critics say there is no or little humor but not every superhero movie is a Marvel Movie that's what they fail to understand. There are a few chuckles in the movie and thats fine with me and Zack Synder does a good job at delivering some dramatic moments with the dark tone of the movie.

Now my biggest problem with Batman v Superman is that during the movie there are these totally unnecessary scenes, like Justice league set up the title 'Dawn Of Justice' suggested that the movie was going to touch on some justice league stuff and one one hand the introduction of the justice league was cool as you get to see other characters that could be involved in the justice league including Wonder Women, but there are some scenes that are confusing as hell and that have nothing to to with the movie like a certain dream sequence that confused me and took me out of the movie as it is never explained and you remain scratching your head on what just happened,Especially and the very end.

The action is good and entertaining especially the Batman and Wonder Woman action sequences. The Batman action sequences are brutal and fun with is unlike any other thing batman has done on screen and Wonder Woman's powers were equally entertaining. The romance between Superman and Lois lane is super vague, their relationship is never really explored and developed and when they showed deep feelings for each other you just didn't buy it.

So Batman v superman is just a mixed bag, somethings i enjoyed but some things were bad, this film could have done a lot better but there are is some fun to be had in this movie if you keep your expectations low.

The best parts of this film was all the action. Fighting, explosions, monsters! Yes! You will be entertained to watch that stuff happen.

But the rest of the movie doesn't make sense. Too many times, you're left wondering what just happened or why someone on screen is doing something. Sure, all the self-avowed comic book nerds will scream "Move Past It!"; but after awhile it get tedious to not have anything make sense. You really can't look past all that and then give the movie a good review.

The tone of this movie works for Batman; but IMHO this is not what Superman deserves; and coupled with the nonsensical plot; this is not what any of the big three (Bats, Supes, WW) deserve.

So yeah, a 5. You can see glimpses of something great in this film, but there's ultimately too much going on with little connective plot. The action is done well; but the reason for the action is kind of left out.

The movie itself is a glorious mess. The pacing is all over the place, lagging for large portions of the movie, to a degree that threatens to lull the audience to sleep, and then suddenly ramping up to a speed that moves too fast for the plot in many places. There is little to no narrative flow as this movie more or less strings along unrelated scenes, end-to-end, which takes an already murky plot and throws it into near-indecipherable territory. This seems to be the biggest point of consternation for critics and is honestly a decent reason for Warner Bros. to consider asking Zack Snyder to take a step back from the director's chair, as these are all career-long vices of his (Watchmen, Man of Steel being past evidence of this);

And yet, despite all those fundamental mistakes, there's a lot to like here. Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot both proved to near perfect castings, despite early internet outrage directed toward both. If there's one major take away from this movie, it's that both character's solo movies in the DCEU have the ground work in place to be outstanding. Both Jeremy Irons and Laurence Fishburne were great too and hopefully as the DC Universe unfolds, we get even more of these ancillary characters. Also, as has become standard fare for Zack Snyder films, the film is beautiful. For everything he lacks as a story teller, the dude does some absolute magic with camera work.

Condensed down into the most generalized version, this film is being crucified to an unnecessary degree. Sure, the film whiffs on many fundamental chec lists but at the same time, the good largely outweighs the bad. It's by no means perfect (particularly if you're not the type to jump out of your seat at tiny little easter eggs embedded specifically to tease Justice League). That being said, there's enough here to not only watch this movie, but also be optimistic about DC's cinematic universe going forward.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My expectations from Zack Snyder and Warner bros was just better than Man of Steel. Which I thought was a good film with some problems, it had mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
The film starts with Thomas and Martha Wayne being murdered………AGAIN. However I do think that Zack Snyder put a very nice and different style to it than anything done previously. It then picks up from the end of man of steel but in Bruce Wayne’s perspective, which I thought was done absolutely brilliantly. Especially when he runs into the dust cloud caused by superman and zod destroying his building. One of the very few emotional scenes was when Bruce saves the little girl from the rubble of the building. In particular when he asks her where her mother is she points at the destroyed building, you really feel the “Darkseid” ( pun intended ) of the superman/zod fight and the human impact it has had. This also really made me support Bruce Wayne and he hatred of superman due to the destruction and loss of live in that whole opening.
With that in mind the dream or nightmare sequences involving Bruce Wayne I thought were absolutely fantastic and cleverly made. The parts that stand out for me are the graves pouring with blood with the bat jumping out, which even made me scared and makes me wonder about the 12A rating ( in the UK ). Also the desert sequences with the omega symbol and Parademons, hinting at Darkseid, is absolute comic book film gold. Dark, gritty and visually stunning as well as fulfilling the dawn of justice part of the title in this film. The final dream sequence involved the Flash, which I was pleasantly surprised by, was again foreshadowing the future of the universe whilst introducing us the Ezra Miller as the flash. I thought it looked visually stunning and helped the story, and maybe not just for this film is Zack Snyder hinting at the Flashpoint comic.
The middle part of the film unfortunately it is erm…………..a little bit boring and too convoluted. This unfortunately falls on the head of screenwriter Chris Terrio which I was very pleased by his acquisition. The film in the middle part is messy, with a lot of individual stories being told at once. What the studio should of done is had all these stories with amazing potential and let them have their own film. For example Superman dealing with the consequences of the fight with General Zod. This one and others could have and should have been given more time to be stretched out so the audience could be more engaged in the story, especially for the controversial ending of this film.
Finally after about 140 minutes into the film we get what wanted, Batman v Superman. Well is it really Batman v Superman or is it just Batman against Superman, because from what I can see Superman doesn't have as strong a dislike towards batman as batman does towards him. Especially considering that the only reason he has flown to Batman is so he can convince him to team up and fight Lex Luthor, so superman never really wanted to fight Batman that much. However the fight itself once again is pure comic book gold, it is dark and brutal and truly fantastic. Is it a little too short? Did we see too much of it in the trailers? The answer to those questions is probably, doesn't mean that I didn't have a smile from ear to ear whilst watching it. The climax of the fight is batman holding the kryptonite spire ready to kill superman, however due to the shortness of the fight and the build up before it the emotion of the scene in my view doesn't hit home as my as it should. This again is to do with the screenplay of the film and the up and down pacing of the film, because they so desperately want to get onto the dawn of justice part of the film. The MAIN reason for Bruce not to kill superman is because both there mothers share the same name!!!!!!!!!………….come on Warner bros and DC really is that the best you could come up with. Throughout the film batman has had this clear hatred towards superman, which was handled brilliantly, and then with a flick of a switch they are best friends because there mothers share the same name. I would of been fine with it if they had batman and superman share a little bit a dialogue between each other explaining the situation that they are in, and superman convincing batman why he is not his enemy.
Fast forwarding the final fight with doomsday looks amazing but yet again doesn't carry much emotion weight to the scenes because it is rushed. The introduction of wonder woman was a incredible scene of the film and well worth a watch. The film includes a number of great references to the Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman, which is done really nicely. I believe that the decision of “killing” Superman was very ballsy by Zack Snyder but effective , although we know he will be alive for Justice League Part One next year. All in all this is a good film with a number of plot errors and focusing too much on setting up future films.

For starters - you can follow The Movie Spot on Twitter (@themoviespot_) and Facebook for more stuff. Here's our review:

Folks, I can’t say I’ve ever been so torn on a movie before. I usually come out of a movie feeling one way or another about it, and it’s very rare that get both feelings of that it was good and bad. But, here I am, the morning after seeing it and I’m absolutely torn on where I stand. And because of that, truthfully, this cannot be seen as a win for this movie or DC. I wanted this movie to win me over, but when I left the theater last night, I left with mixed emotions, and after reading through several reviews this morning from all other media outlets, I’m not alone. Right now on Metacritic, the critic score is 44 (out of 100), while the audience score is at 73. That’s a big gap. For comparison, both Avenger movies hover around the high 60s, low 70s for both critic and audiences, so universally people enjoyed those films, but here, there is a clear divide and I can’t decide where I stand.

I sat through the first half of the movie, which is 2 1/2 hours long, and felt it was a chess match. Pieces were being moved towards an end game, but it was just so slow that it was hard to believe I was watching a movie called Batman v. Superman. They started with the origins of Batman, for the 500th time, that just felt unnecessary. At this point, there is a Batman movie/show for every generation that could have seen this movie, to go through the origins again is just tedious. And out of all they skipped in Batmans story, showing the origin again just seemed like a bad decision. They let the audiences infer on everything Batman went through in Gotham as the vigilante, but showed us the one thing everyone knows. It’s clear that this Batman has seen a thing or two. He’s lost Robin, he mentioned The Joker, he mentioned that he’s seen many other “bad people”. He also seems like he’s OK with killing now, and has me thinking of the past villains and where they are. Are they dead? We saw how easy it was for Batman to kill in this movie, so did he rid Gotham of the notorious villains, or are they alive? People were very quick to praise Ben Affleck as the “Best Batman ever”. I really liked his performance, he played it with the grit and seasoning needed for an aged Batman, but he hasn’t even gotten his own movie yet. Though, we got more than enough of him here, I still want to see Affleck perform in his own standalone Batman movie before putting him on that pedestal.

The “other guy” in the title, was featured heavily throughout the movie. In the trailers, Superman seemed like the antagonist of this movie, but as the movie went on, I couldn’t help but feel for him. His home is destroyed, he’s sent to Earth as a way to save his life, and all he’s done since, or try to do, is keep it safe. And he’s even tried to stay low key by keeping his job at The Daily Planet, move into an apartment with Lois Lane, and we don’t see him actively trying to do anything within the world, unless Lois is in trouble. It seems like Henry Cavill is headed towards being the best Superman in movie history as I assume he’ll be playing it for the next 5 years through this phase of DC movies, and that’s great news because he just fits everything that makes Superman, Superman. Let’s just hope we can get him in a definitively good movie during his time.

DC has done a poor job getting people to really want to see The Justice League. The comparisons to Marvel are inevitable, and I have to do it here. Marvel established, legitimately, 4 main characters and 3 side characters before getting to The Avengers. DC is going into Justice League with a rebooted Batman, a pretty good Superman, a pretty good Wonder Woman (whose movie comes out before Justice League next year) and 3 other main characters who we won’t know much about. I don’t think I’m asking for too much here. Marvel has been so calculated in their steps, and giving the fans small teasers of the future while establishing what they have. DC has done the exact opposite. How could any fan get behind that?

Go see the movie, on pure spectacle alone, it must be seen. You may even enjoy this movie, if you lower your expectations. But I have to say, DC missed another opportunity to show the world that they can hang in the comic book cinematic universe.

Having lowered my expectations going into the film upon hearing about the castings of Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Affleck I was still amazed at how bad the film turned out.

PROS:

-The film is mildly entertaining even though it buckles under the weight of its uber serious tone
-The cameos from other superheros (Cyborg, Aquaman, Flash and Wonder Woman) were some of the best parts of the film.
-Wonder Woman was easily the best thing about this film. She stole every scene she was in. Even her theme song outshone everyone elses.
- Ben Affleck was actually believable as the Dark Knight. Better than Clooney and Kilmer but worse than Bale and Keaton.

CONS:

-The storyline was hastily written and doesn't seem to be drawn from any comic source I can think of. The narrative is so bad that most of the time you are left wondering why Batman and Superman are fighting and how neither of them can see they are being manipulated by Lex.
-Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. NEVER in my life have I seen an actor more horribly miscast. Watching him play Lex literally makes anyone wish the film would end quicker. He ruins every scene he is in.
- The film is basically a 2 1/2HR trailer for the next movie.
- The editing leaves much to be desired.

I grade this a solid C-

Firstly, Ben Affleck is definitely the best Batman ever. Already we know Henry Cavill so compitable with Superman role but, nobody wait Ben Affleck's extraordiary role.

In my opinion, the film has two excuses. Firstly, it is really too long, approximately 150 minutes, if only it has 90 or 100 minutes and we can so satisfied. Secondly, that "Martha" thing. On relevant scene, Batman has advantage and he is so nervous, but when he heart "Martha will die" words he give up. This is weird. Yes, Martha is his mom, but this is not enough reason for giving up.

In addition, soundtracks of film are amazing. Especially, when our three heroes (Batman-Superman-Wonder Woman) presented together musics are extraordinary. Speaking of Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot is as succesfull as Ben Affleck. She looks like completely her comic-book version.

Finally, I really suggest this film and if you do not have any prejudice, you will like this film.

Is it flawed? Sure. But what movie isn't. We should be glad that we were given the chance to watch a superhero movie that doesn't follow the same old formula, which in my opinion is getting quite repetitive, and is something different both in tone and story. The fact that the movie reminded me of Batman TAS and Superman TAS is definitely a plus.

Let's start with the performances, everyone from the main cast to the supporting worked well, the stand out being Ben Affleck. Not only did he prove the haters wrong, but he brought something new to the role. For once you actually fear the Batman. Cavill was good as well, and you could really feel his pain of being an outsider (which is continued from Man of Steel). Amy Adams was much better this time around in her role as Lois Lane, and she again reminded me of Superman TAS. Jeremy Irons was obviously great as Alfred. Gadot in my opinion was alright as Wonder Woman, I guess we need to see more from her. Now let's come to Lex Luthor... instead of feeling like a man of grace and one that you should fear, Lex feels like a wannabe Joker, it felt like Jesse was playing a cartoon cartoon and it is quite clear that he needed a paycheck. But if you ignore the character's roots, he is a decent enough villain even if you would like to punch him every time he's on screen.

The pacing although not great, was not terrible either. It was quite noticeable that a few scenes were cut in between and maybe the R-rated cut should help with the movie's flow. There were also quite a few choices made by the filmmaker that would anger quite a few fans. But this is something to be expected from Zack Snyder.

Overall the movie was quite enjoyable, it had some really amazing parts and some that you would outright hate. But these parts really didn't ruin the experience for me, because at the end of the day it is someone else's interpretation of these heroes. I'm just glad that we were able to watch these two iconic heroes on the screen together.

This is my own opinion and you should make your own. Watch the movie if you are interested but don't let the critics have an effect on your viewing experience because it definitely isn't the abomination that some would like you to believe. Although far from a perfect superhero experience, it is in my opinion better than quite a few thing that we have seen before. Maybe in the next couple of years, people might appreciate it more.

Movie was overlong and bloated
Lacks any sense of humor or fun(The final trailer was misleading)

Doomsday looks like Abomination from Hulk
The movie refused to end(Like Return of the King)

The Batman V Superman fight was 4 minutes tops and the reason for the end of the fight was stupid
The reason Superman wanted to fight Batman was stupid
Verdict:
Batman V Superman is a terrible entry in DC's new Cinematic Universe, it tends to rush to the Justice League movie and set up the spin-offs with some mixed results. Zack Snyder wastes the potential of the story with a variety of unnecessary subplots.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie is not good. Not at all. As a fan os Zack Snyder I enjoyed the way the photography and direction. The actors are good and play their role very well. However, the script is terrible. They just were more preoccupied with making big scenes and making the film like something huge than the conversations or giving actual reasons for each chacracter doing what they did. The scene that ends the battle between Batman and Superman is absolutely ridiculous. They were fighting each other and BATMAN just stops and feels sorry for superman because their mother have the same name? And Louis appearing in the middle of their fight was even worse. There are a lot of terrible scenes and conversations because they just did not care of making a movie that is well connected but only cared about big fight scenes and easter eggs so the comic fans would enjoy the references no one else does. From its filmic origins as a campy, low budget, half hour television series of the sixties that was full of fun villains, the Batman Franchise has come a long way. This, however, has to be the worst instalment since the character was re-imagined.
Continuing with the dark themes, both literally and aesthetically, in stark contrast to the very colourful and cheesy TV entries for the Bat, or even the Christopher Reeve Superman incarnation of the 70’s and 80’s for that matter, the current look is the film’s biggest asset. It is without question the visuals in effects and Art-Direction that are its mainstay. Neither can salvage the mess (and I’m not talking about the destruction of the city) that purports to be a story and screenplay. Lines like ‘That means nothing’ or ‘It’s not clear what just happened’ succinctly encapsulate one’s understanding of indecipherable writing. The result is a disjointed behemoth of a movie costing millions that is boring, boring, boring!
Those going to eyeball a lengthy and impressive dual between the two superheroes are sure going to be disappointed by the meow offered here in place of a roar!
As has become common place now actors of repute like Holly Hunter, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner join up for the pay check, but add little to the end result. Only Jesse Eisenberg as the conniving Lex Luthor brings some colour to the dark, but even he struggles with the convolutions of the plot.
The ending offers up a major surprise, but it also presents us with a moralistically phoney soliloquy about how wonderful the human race is. Please!!!
A good tagline for this failed giant would be Boring v Confused.

This is a well made movie, finding its roots from various story arcs from the world of comics. It is a mindblowing treat for comic and gaming fans. For DC fans, it is a clear 10/10. Even for the casual super hero flick fan, it is atleast an 8 or a 9/10. BvS is a great build up to the Justice League. Ben Affleck's grim portrayal of Batman is topclass. The motivation behind the battle is well thought out. The gladiator match is truly epic. The teasers & Easter eggs are quite intelligently infused. There are certain scenes/dream sequences that will make you ponder about what lies ahead once you step out of the theatre. I am a Nolan Dark Knight trilogy fan and I feel Zack Snyder's magnum opus is worth experiencing. Both come from a different school of thought. Both are commendable in the scale they have reached. It is not about either or.
Go for it if you haven't already. Critics are completely off tangent on this one!

The action, dialogue, direction, and cinematography perfectly wrap into one cohesive film. This is my current favorite Batman. You can just tell after all the years of Gotham going to hell with no end in sight he has lost his morals. Bruce Wayne is brutal like never before. I can't make this review and not speak about Henry Cavil's Superman. Superman in this film is simply put, "A Graphic Novel translated to film". The scenes involving Superman are just so iconic and immersive in this universe Warner Brothers have crafted. The only negative I have about the film is the inclusion of some of the Justice League scenes. They weren't particularly "bad", they just felt a tad out of place.

Overall this film is amazing. Easily beats out recent comic book films like Ultron or Ant Man. I'd highly recommend watching this, and I am certainly picking up the Ultimate Edition when it releases.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. We were not so over Batman after The Dark Knight Rises even though it had a perfect ending. That gave the edge to lingering Warner Bros to scope even more out of it. There practically was no reason for both of these power houses to go against each other but you know Zack Snyder, he tried to create one and this movie is all about his failure to do so.

Movie has a beginning which is quite remarkable and thrilling, but that is all there was to offer, as the questions started to raise, movie started to drop. Bruce Wayne, who is known to be very controlled and logical person, forgets everything to raise an idiotic rage inside him against superman. Superman on the other hand for unknown reasons finds the work done by batman to be against law and prejudicial to his own judgement. And for these false alarms they turn against each for no good of the town. Meanwhile the real evil, Lex Luther, whom writers assumed everyone would be quite familiar with, is up for his own adventure cheating on government and audience with cheap technological advantage he creates a quite dark situation. As the movie movies moved towards it's climax, i realized it had been only 75 minutes into this movie which is said to have length of 150 minutes. Which simply meant I was only half way through.

Roles in the movie are so vague and poorly drawn. Lois Lane has absolutely nothing to do in movie except wander in empty dark buildings for no reason. And the fact that Amy Adams was wrongly cast in a role which should have been gone to atleast 10 years younger and more cheerful actress. Amy is a great actress but she is way too strong and mature for the role against a decade younger actor. Wonder Woman could have been a pleasant addition , much like Catwoman in TDKR, but she was waste too. I wonder if they could have swapped Amy for wonder woman and Gal Gadot for Lois Lane. Ben Affleck is terrible as batman. Actor does not possessed the authority in his body language and voice to convince the audience. Henry Cavill, the soul of the movie, was not given much to do. The titular character was through out confused about the direction of the movie.

One of the worst thing they did was the casting, ben affleck, gal gadot and jessie eisenberg were never good choices. They did cast Jeremy Irons and wrote his character more like Tony Stark, even his getup was reminiscent of Robert Downery Jr. Another below standard sequence was to add introduction of future spin off of lesser known characters.

Before movie starts, Zack Snyder requests Fans to not give away the plot twists however he should have requested to not disclose Plot Holes which it had plenty.

I went to be disappointed and still I was disappointed, that was the real disappointment.

Both of them played their roles beautifully which leads me to believe that the rest of the casting for Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash are also going to be good. I'm genuinely excited for all their solo films and the Justice League movie. My only complaint is that the set up for DCEU was all crammed into one movie. I wish they would have taken a different path establishing it.
Over all though, I honestly left the theater wanting to see more and I'm hopeful for this DC universe that has been established.

This movie should have been called Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman.

A huge part of the movie is nothing more than a buildup for the eventual Justice League flick. I’m alright with buildups, but not at the expense of the movie you are showing at the time.

The storytelling is produced well with at least Batman’s intentions being apparent.

He sees Superman as a threat to the earth and believes nobody should hold that kind of power, less they fall to the dark side. This is presented extremely well through Bruce Wayne and Batman as characters. Ben Affleck owns the role and it shows. He put a ton of work in to pull off the character.

The plot initially centers around Superman dealing with Earth’s population being uneasy about whether or not he is there to help and how he is affecting society. Bruce Wayne is at the secret forefront of this after seeing destruction first hand during the events of Man of Steel.

We get to see the two heroes face off in person once before their big fight. The initial face-to-face is fine but done at an awkward time. Batman is chasing illegal weapons smugglers when Superman just kind of stops him to tell him he shouldn’t want to fight him. Then they just let the bad guys get away.

Superman, you are supposed to stop the bad guys. In fact why even stop Batman? He was chasing the bad guys.

Also you might have heard, Batman kills people in this flick. Process that for a moment.

As much as I love the character of Batman, his entire philosophy is thrown out the window. He still uses non-lethal means for the majority of his fighting, but all of a sudden is fine with mowing down people and exploding occupied vehicles with guns on the Batmobile. Why is that acceptable but shooting someone with an assault rifle is not?

I really liked the first 50 minutes of this movie. There is some great drama between Luthor and government officials which has a great culmination and is my favourite scene in the movie.

The showdown between Batman and Superman is also very well done, it’s not a huge planetary fight which makes sense because it revolves around Batman taking advantage of Superman with a variety of tactics. Both gain the upper hand and build up some great tension in a very gritty battle.

The end of this battle is when the film gets much worse.

The entire reason why the fight ends is completely half-baked and involves shoehorning in Lois Lane. Not to mention in roughly two minutes the characters go from literally being about to kill one another to uttering lines saying they are friends.

Within five minutes this film throws out the last 40 minutes of character development.

The rest of the film involves the two heroes trying to fight back against Luthor’s plan, culminating in a three on one fight with Wonder Woman getting involved.

Remember when this was Batman vs. Superman?

That’s the core problem, the movie feels split in two. The first part does a great job of building up the hero face off, but then brings in a plethora of needless characters so the good guys have someone to fight and become friends leading up to the Justice League movie.

The movie should have been Superman and Batman fighting it out with strings being pulled by Lex Luthor until in the final fight, they eventually realize what happened and stop inches away from killing one another.

Instead we got that, but within the first 60 minutes along with various subplots, followed by the rest setting up Justice League and utterly wasting villains.

Yes, Doomsday was an absolute waste of a character that didn’t deserve the final 20 minutes treatment with little buildup.

I haven’t even touched on the filmography, which is another big issue I have with the film and dark DC comic book movies in general.

Every shot was so grey it almost looked black and white. Accompanying the lifeless colour was overly artistic shots that looked pretentious. There are too many shots of locations with branches out of focus in front of the camera. It doesn’t look edgy when you do it multiple times.

Zack Snyder knows how to do these artistic shots, but that doesn’t mean he always should. To me it gives the impression that he doesn’t know how to make people care, so he tries to make the shot look as interesting as possible.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice adheres to the title for the first half of the movie, until it goes off the rails and forgets telling a story in favour of hyping a sequel.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It is hard to place my finger on what Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice truly is as a film. Before I begin tearing it apart scene-by-scene, let me state the positives. The acting is phenomenal. Jeremy Irons, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Laurence Fishburne, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, are all very, very good here. The film's score is terrific. The sound in the film is great as well. IMAX is the best way to view this one and truly get the full sound experience. Additionally, it is greatly entertaining. Immediately after leaving the theater, I was tricked into thinking I liked it more than I did because the film truly feels epic and the film has the weight and entertainment level it desperately needed. It is a truly cinematic experience that needs to be experienced in theaters, even if I think the movie is bad. As with all Zack Snyder films, the film's look and feel is incredible. It looks gorgeous and really is a visual splendor. Finally, Superman's best scene here is when he lands in a crowd of people after saving a child in Juarez. The people all crowd around just to touch him. Brilliantly chill inducing scene.

Now the spoiler packed negatives. The film runs two and a half hours and is way overlong. There are so many filler scenes it is incredible. For example, the four dream sequences are idiotic. Having, I think, the Flash tell Batman in a dream that "Lois Lane is the key" is pointless and does nothing here. Plus, why is the Flash here already? Wonder Woman watches videos of the other Justice League members for nearly 3-5 minutes right before the climax of the damn movie. Is that some sick joke? It is almost like Zack Snyder has a blue balls fetish and figured his audience did too. The film opens with Batman's origin story, yet the audience already knows it and it is largely inconsequential (except for one stupid scene that needed to be reworked anyways). The entirety of the trial in the film can be cut out. The bombing at the capitol building is quickly forgotten and the throngs of people who hate Superman and thinks he needs to be brought to justice are swiftly forgotten when he dies and everybody loves him again in five seconds. The same happens with Batman. He hates Superman for the destruction he caused in Man of Steel, yet he finds out their mothers share the same name (yep) and that Superman is trying to save his mom from Lex Luther, so he decides to team up with him and become friends. What a serious cop out. There is a dream sequence in which Superman speaks with his dead father and it adds nothing to the movie. Also, Batman walks past the graffitied outfit of Robin here as he does in the trailer, but it has no point in the movie. He glances at it and moves on quite quickly.

Speaking of Lex Luther, Eisenberg does a great job, but I have no idea what his point is. He hates Superman and wants to get his hands on kryptonite to kill him for some reason. Oh and he wants him to fight Batman for....what? So that way the movie sells more tickets? Maybe to get rid of the only other person who would stop him, but I still have no idea why he hates Superman. Then he creates Doomsday, but has no way of controlling what he does and for some guy who is portrayed as being really smart, he is really dumb. Speaking of poorly constructed characters, what an abomination Lois Lane is. As with Man of Steel, she just follows the plot and almost dies repeatedly, only for Superman to save her. Just let her die at this point.

They kill Superman here, but let you know he's alive at the end because, well, how can you just kill Superman like that amirite? The plot keeps moving, but only begrudgingly. For a film that is too long, it really could have stood to be longer. The editing is incoherent and scenes are just thrown together because, well, why not. If this is really the version of the film we are getting and nothing will be cut, then something seriously needed to be added to give characters more depth and for me to just better understand what happened beneath all the Justice League hype up nonsense. Why does Lex Luther do anything here? The tragic answer is because he needs to in order for the rest of the movie to happen, even if it motivations are unclear.

Most egregiously, the religious symbolism is off the charts. There is literally a shot where Superman extends his arms and tilts his head like Christ on the cross. The the number of crucifixes is off the charts. This is no Superman. This is a Bible adaptation and Henry Cavill plays Jesus Christ. Seriously. Watch the movie and tell me otherwise.

Overall, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a mess. Incoherent noisy nonsense that demands a change in direction. Zack Snyder is clearly enthusiastic about the material, but has no idea how to realize his dream film here. Instead, we get this mish mash of, possibly, three different movies. Yep, seriously. That said, Gadot is so good that Wonder Woman will be a must watch in 2017. Disappointing, yet fun.

Either Disney/Marvel has a bunch of critics in its payroll or critics somehow had unrealistically high expectations for this movie. The film in and of itself wasn't any worst than either of the Avengers movies. So an average score of 4 of out 10 is undeserved. It's the typical superheroes movies, which I usually give a 6. But I like darker superheroes movies so I give this one one more point. The batman fight scene against thugs were very well done; better than any fights in Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. The worst aspect of the movie is the terrible editing -- the movie jumps from one short scene to the next in quick succession without logical flow. Even though, the movie is pretty long, there's so much going on (but not many scenes truly contribute to lift the main story) that everything feels rushed and compressed. The Dark Knight was an equally long movie but scenes flow logically and each scene contributes to the movie. So the main problem with Batman v Superman is story-telling. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really don't understand the reviews that say the plot makes no sense, or too many things that are unconnected going on. Everything is connected through Alexander Luthor and may seem disjointed, but just have to use a little brain power to see whats going on. The biggest downside to the movie is Snyder. He makes some visually beautiful scenes, but at the loss of substance. Superman falls really flat in this movie. There were some scenes that could have been great with better displays of emotion, instead you see Snyders influence with movie poster shots. If you like Injustice, you will love this movie. One major complaint I had was the darkness with Superman, but after thinking more about it I realize this isn't the superman i grew up with. That superman comes onto the scene and everyone loves him and accepts him. This supe is met with skepticism and paranoia by the government. Also, here Lois knows his identity before she ever really knows Clark. Supe didnt have those years of spending his energy hiding his secret identity and having Lois fall for Clark. That translates into him immediately putting all his focus into his relationship with Lois here, and not having that outlet of hiding who he is, his love for her is almost infatuated. That changes his mindset and judgement, and makes it much easier for him to go dark. That plus the public lack of acceptance changes everything from the old superman story. This movie is a great setup for the DC universe, and if they go the Injustice route it explains why all franchises in this universe need to be dark.

I still hate the Flash casting here though, but loved the cameo.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Do not listen to the critics, people! They are indeed wrong yet again. Just look at the difference between the critics and the users (aka fans) scores---a 44 and a 7.4 (as of the time of this review's writing). Clearly, something weird is going on here. Yes, the film does have a few minor flaws but nowhere near enough to carry it to even a 70.

The casting and characters in this movie are fantastic. Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg are the ones that really shine in their roles, though Henry Cavill is great as well. And regarding Affleck, I found that his Batman is one that will definitely fit this version of the DC Universe and the voice is a huge improvement over Christian Bale's, though in other areas, I found Bale's Batman to elicit much more sympathy and be an all-around more engaging character. But who knows? Maybe Affleck's Batman will top Bale's in the upcoming standalone film.

The plot does take quite a while to get going, but it's not what I would consider a drag. Other movies have fared much worse in terms of slow starts. The only problem I had with the beginning is that I wasn't sure who I was supposed to be rooting for. Perhaps if I had seen Man of Steel, some of the plot points would've been more clear and it would've been obvious I was supposed to be going for Superman, but it was kinda foggy for me. Other than that, I really had no problems with the beginning and middle, as we were introduced to Eisenberg's unique yet solid Lex Luthor and became more familiar with other members of the cast, such as Amy Adams' Lois Lane and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.

The actual ending battle sequence of the movie was simply spectacular. There were some parts that looked a little too CGI (i.e.: the "birth" of Doomsday and the part when Superman was healed in space) but overall, I found it to be enjoyable, engaging, and necessary. Some people felt that Doomsday was shoved into this film, which I disagree with. This is probably due to the fact that I went into the film with low expectations after looking at the critics' scores but Doomsday was both well set-up and masterfully executed in my opinion. He could've looked a little closer to the comics, though (and like SethGrey said, Lex's motives in the end were unclear).

Lastly, I found Hans Zimmer's score to be extremely unmemorable though I did manage to pick out some parts in which it sounded remarkably similar to his work on The Bible TV miniseries, so I liked those bits. I wouldn't be able to tell you a part where the music blew me away though. I also think that the title pretty much makes no sense. The "Dawn of Justice" part, maybe, but the "Batman v Superman"? Absolutely not. I think having the film being named simply "Dawn of Justice" would've been better, though that is admittedly rather weak as well.

In the end, I found Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to be a great film, much better than the critics would have you believe. The main issue with the film is a slightly slow middle section but even that can't bog down the wonderful casting and characters, as well as the plot itself and the ending sequence. This movie really made me get excited for the rest of the DC Comics Cinematic Universe.

Following this they tried to kick start a "DC Universe" (DCU) with The Green Lantern (2011), another comic book hero who has (in my opinion) an even greater, and possibly even limitless, amount of scope for creating a film (and franchise/universe) around. But again, TGL was utterly awful and DC had to go back to square one.
So, they 'rebooted' Superman again with Man Of Steel (2013), which whilst not setting the world alight with what was created, was sufficiently well received to become a not particularly stable foundation.
With the Nolan 'Batman' trilogy at an end, and with Batman being an integral part of the DCU, it was natural that the next film in the franchise should feature him, with Henry Cavill's existing Superman.

Sounds ok, in theory. But in practice?? O...M...G...!

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is everything everyone was hoping it wasn't. As other people have pointed out it's essentially five separate narratives existing at the same time, and none are fleshed out enough to make the viewer the least bit emotionally and intellectually invested.
If you've seen the second trailer for BvS, then you've seen essentially all the major plot elements (bar one, which I won't 'spoil'), and if you've not and are going into the movie blind.... Well, set your expectations down several notches.

So, what's good?

The performances of the main stars are all good enough. No one really stands out, Cavill is brooding and handsome as Superman, Affleck as Batman spends most of the film looking a little perplexed, and Adams as Lois Lane mainly turns up for expositional purposes or to be the de facto 'damsel in distress'.
The opening narrative is actually quite compelling, as it deals with the aftermath of Man of Steel and the public's (and Batman's/Bruce Wayne's) reaction to having this super powered individual in their midst. The interplay between the two 'heroes', in their everyday alter ego's sets up the following conflict really well.
But, after that (and the introduction of Lex Luthor, played in a very over the top, twitchy, almost OCD way by Jesse Eisenberg) the film just nosedives.
The action is well staged, especially during the BvS confrontation but, again, the subsequent action scenes aren't anywhere near as good, lacking coherence and (like in virtually every other superhero movie) lacking stakes.
Zack Snyder's direction is all over the place. He's known (and respected) for his action sequences which, as mentioned, are all over the place themselves.... But he's less well known for his ability to structure a narrative, develop a film's pace, and wring performances out of 'Hollywood Stars'. BvS is very clear evidence of all this. Beyond certain scenes of real spectacle, everything else is just done averagely... And it's a real shame, because the introduction of Batman and Luthor (and their respective motivations etc) could have carried the entire film itself.

Which brings us to what is bad. And by bad I mean things which i can't caveat with positives (like I offered a somewhat negative caveat to almost all the 'good' points!!)

The bad comes from my original statement. That DC are desperate to create a franchised universe for their superheroes (and supervillains) to inhabit.
Whereas Marvel made several standalone movies that introduced the main protagonists of what would become 'The Avengers', DC have instead chosen to use BvS as a launching pad in one single movie.

By this I mean we get the introduction of Wonder Woman (played by the stunning Gal Gadot), who is superfluous to the plot, but is shoe-horned in because she's going to get her own movie.
But we also get insane amounts of 'foreshadowing' of other known members of what will become The Justice League, to the point where I actually found myself both cringing and laughing at the same time.
There's absolutely no need for it, but DC want/need to create a 'universe' in which these other characters exist, and so throw in innumerate 'nods' throughout the film.

So, what's the conclusion?

Is BvS a bad movie? Depends on your point of view. If you want a relatively fast-paced, actioney film with a plot that goes from A-B-C without any real surprises to make you spit out your popcorn... Then BvS will suit you to the ground.

If you're looking for a film which actively encourages you into the new DCU, and have an interest in any of the actual DC characters.... Then this will (as it did me) disappoint you immensely.

It's not a terrible 'film', it's just a terrible 'superhero' film.

Can't understand why everyone is bagging this movie with a lot of complaints that they 'couldn't understand it'. If you couldn't understand this story you should probably be watching less movies and reading a few more books. I concede it isn't perfect but they took the source material and made it their own which i really admire. Even my girlfriend who i dragged along hates superhero movies but thoroughly enjoyed this one. Expand

Ignore the critics - this is a great film.

It is true to the tone on Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and "Man of Steel", so admittedly if you exclusively prefer the lighter tone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the recent DC films, then this probably won't be for you. Also, much of the criticism Snyder has received for his editing of the film is deserved, it could have been alot better.

Finally, we get more and alternative Batman origin material, which for this generation of moviegoer is unnecessary, and so is a bit of wasted time.

But that's about as much negative as I can say about this film.

The story is excellent in it's objective of being a starting point for the Justice League. It shows how three untrusting and crash-burned superheroes are forced together to deal with a different level of threat, explaining and justifying the changes in their respective outlooks and how it will lead into their forming a team.

Ben Affleck is excellent as Batman and Bruce Wayne. His is an older, more experienced character. Christian Bale's Batman was young, idealistic, and on a crusade with clear boundaries of how far he would go to deal with threats to Gotham. Affleck's character has seen too much and been let down too often to have any limits any more. His is a pragmatic, pitiless and righteous exponent of rage. Whereas BatBale was the survivor guilt-ridden symbol of hope and opposition to the evil in Gotham; his mask was that of the playboy, as he struggled to balance his public and "professional" identities. BatFleck is simply the solution and the warning to anyone who wants to keep threatening his town; there is little difference now between the man and the mask.

Henry Cavill is also excellent as Superman. I loved "Man of Steel", and i'm glad he hasn't given in to any critical pressure to change the character he delivers. This film has Superman asking himself why he even bothers, and gives him just enough room amongst the ensemble to grow the character a bit more.

Gal Gadot didn't get as much time as most would of liked, but she delivered in the time she was given, and I can't wait to see her in Justice League and the first Wonder Woman film.

As a whole the film itself stripped-down, blunt and brutal. It fits alot in, whilst simultaneously having a bit of extraneous fat that could've been wisely edited out. Overall however, this is a great film. Give it a chance and you will walk out happy.

Zack Snyder is a visual director, not a story-teller, and the movie he was given feels more like a bunch of ideas for further movies condensed down and thrown into this one. The result is a movie that is filled with time-killing moments that support setting up a cinematic universe rather than telling the story you paid to watch. This combined with some cringe-inducing performances (mainly Lex Luther) and lots of plot points that feel rushed and not completed creates a movie that is somewhat of a good time, especially if you're into Batman and really invested into the DC universe where you'll understand the movies being setup. However, both you and the casual audience will be bored at times, confused at others, and overall letdown by this movie. Expand

It's the same illness 2014's The Amazing Spiderman 2 suffered from, so why didn't Warner Bros. learn from Sony's mistake? As for the cast, aside from Gadot's wooden performance and inability to pronounce words properly and Eisenberg's over the top ridiculous performance, I have no major complaints, Cavill and Affleck get the job done, the thing is, it's one thing to look and act the part but if the part you are playing isn't well written (I'm looking at you Goyer) it doesn't matter how good their performances are. Doing away with the fundamental aspects that make these two iconic superheroes of the DC universe who they are is (for me at least... IDK about the rest of you) what's most disheartening about this movie. Superman is a virtually indestructible being, and because of this, his compassion for humans and respect for the fragility of human life is what makes him who he is. These virtues were absent in Man of Steel and are again missing in BvS. He is portrayed as being burdened by humans, saving humans has become an everyday chore like doing the dishes, you don't want to do it but it has to be done. As for Batman, he is supposed to be continuously teetering on a precipice, the fear of crossing the line and becoming the very thing he is fighting against is the very essence of Batman. That essence is completely lost when you have him going around SNAPPING NECKS and BLOWING PEOPLE UP. His hypocrisy in this movie is undeniable, he sees Superman as a threat to humans but he doesn't seem to mind needlessly killing people himself. These aren't anti-heroes like The Punisher or Lobo, these are supposed to be HEROES!!!

Contrary to most, I don't lay all of the blame on the director. Snyder has proven that he can be a good director in the past (Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead), just give him a decent story to direct and you will get a good movie out of him. However, I do find it funny how no one ever blames the writers for these turds, in this case, studio hack writer David S. Goyer. With the exception of Blade and Batman Begins, Goyer has never written anything (on his own) that surpassed a 5.6 rating on Imdb. Just look at his résumé... Death Warrant written by Goyer, 5.6/10 -- Kickboxer 2: The Road Back, written by Goyer, 4.4/10 -- The Crow: City of Angels, written by Goyer, 4.5/10 -- Nick Fury: Agent of Shield, written by Goyer, 3.7/10 -- The Unborn, written by Goyer, 4.8/10 -- Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, story and screenplay by... you guessed it... Goyer, 4.3/10, and now he shares writing credits with Chris Terrio on BvS. What did Terrio do before BvS? Additional screenplay material for the movie Heights in 2005 and a screenplay for Argo in 2012. WOW! With writing expertise like this, what else would you expect? Snyder, Goyer and Terrio chose to cherry pick some of the best stuff from two of DC comics greatest works (The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman) and merge them into one movie instead of adapting both movies onto the big screen separately. The result is a movie riddled with nostalgic moments guaranteed to give fans of the graphic novels a hard on but lacking any specific plot line, resulting in a two and a half hour long trailer for future movies.

Warner Bros. have great writers who are already on their payroll and who do great work on their animated movies. So why can't they assemble a team with people like Paul Dini, Alan Burnett and Bob Goodman to write these live action movies instead of going back over and over again to a hack with a mediocre track record when it comes to writing movies without the help of someone like Chris Nolan? If anyone would like to watch a great movie with Superman and Batman, check out The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 and 2, any one of those animated features are far superior in comparison to this crap.

Warner Bros. you blew it big time.

I love Ben Affleck as Batman. This film was mostly about how badass Batman can be, how lame Superman can be, but how they can work together to kick ass. I'm now very excited for a justice league film. Love the flash and all that.
