    So i was really looking forward to this game... and after around 8-9 hours i realize it's the same thing.... all you do is gather chests and get loot, kill a little stronger skeleton then the normal once... There is no progression, only cosmetics. in my opinion this is what kills the game... Sea of Thieves has no story, no competitive multiplayer, no character progression (barring cosmetics), and only very little in the way of compelling gameplay. If you read a review claiming you can do anything in this game, you have been lied to, and the same goes for the "different experience every time" BS. There are three quest vendors and about as many shops. The shops all sell cosmetics, and nothing more. The vendors offer one type of quest each, but each of those quests are essentially the exact same: sail to a small, uninteresting island, kill skeletons/capture chickens/dig, bring the thing this gives you back, get paid. Wash, rinse, repeat. That's the overwhelming bulk, and the occasional session-ending glitches, boring combat (4 weapons total), and relentless repetition, all make this one a pass at $60. I could go on--there's only one type of enemy you can fight per land/sea (sharks/skeletons), there's almost no point fighting other players on those rare occasions you do find them, etc., but I won't bore you. It's fun to sail the ships, but there are only two, and you can't upgrade them in meaningful ways, only the cosmetics. Drinking grog and firing yourself out of a canon and sailing across the sea are all honest to goodness fun, but it's not worth $60 dollars by any stretch of the imagination. I am not saying nobody can have fun on this game, just that for the majority of people this will wear off quickly as the limited nature of this game's weapons, enemies, quests, tasks, and upgrades all become harder and harder to ignore. A beautiful grind for no reason is still a grind for no reason--aesthetics aren't a strong enough pillar to make this last. Do not forget No Man's Sky, and resist the hype. Pass this one while it's at full retail price, it just isn't worth it. Pick it up at ~$30 and enjoy it for what it is.… Expand

    Outstanding game with absolutely stunning graphics,especially on the Xbox one X. Great to see a developer like Rare back on top form again. Unfortunately there seem to be a lot of PS fanboys giving this game low scores as an adult I don’t understand this.

    Finally RARE is back. You can feel the heart that they put into this game. The game is good for single player but that is not why I picked it up. After a long night of gaming I can say that me and my buddies have not laughed and had so much fun with a game in a long time. If you are looking for a game to play with friends this is the one.     Launched a game with bad servers. Couldnt play the night it released and got home from work the next day and still couldnt play. We can excuse it as launch day problems and continue to support this bad habbit of launching products that dont work, Or we can let developers know this is not ok. Rent out extra servers to handle initial inrush of customers and dial back once launch is over.

    Ótima experiência multiplayer, essa justamente essa a proposta do jogo e é nisso que ele se foca. Gráficos cartunescos muito bem feitos, rodando no Xbox One X ficam perfeitos.

    This game is fun, hilarious, and beautiful to boot. There is so much potential to be had with this game. It isn't a single player game. Without people to sail the seas with the fun factor drops off a bit. I'm giving it a 10 to counter all of the ridiculous trolls and their unsubstantiated zero scores.     Where's the game? Seriously, after 3 or 4 hours you just wanna go play anything else rather than do the same crap again. Contrasted to Monster Hunter which is a grindy game also, at least the grind is fun and productive in that game.

    I predict that once the pro reviews start rolling in this will end up with about a 60 metacritic score.

    More a technology demonstrator or proof of concept than an actual game. After an hour or so you have done it all. No story, no progression, nothing. Massive potential but you have to think they left the vast majority of the game on the backlog.

    excellent game! sensational graphics, very good gameplay, finally something different and with several ways of doing the same thing. Plenty of content for a release, and logically, more news should come in the near future. A pity to see people who do not even have the game, make negative comments and want to spoil the experience of who is actually playing. I RECOMMEND ! WAIT WAS WORTH IT!

The map is tiny and all there is to do is repeat the same three kinds of fetch quest. You can try everything there is to do in this game in five hours or less.     This game is gorgeous. I played the alpha and beta and now retail release and can not get enough of how good this games looks and how fun it is alone and with friends. sailing the seas, finding treasure, skulsl, pigs, chickens and then avoiding or fighting other players is a blast. can't wait to see what additions are going to be added to this down the road.

    O jogo é incrível, aja visto a proposta do mesmo e o seu público alvo! O problema é que tem gente hypando ele como se fosse um triple A, além do mais, userscore não é base de qualidade.

    Then came the alphas with a taste of what we should expect, with simple but cool mechanincs, the ship handling, the beatiful sea, fetch quests and... thats it. With poor aesthetics and dull missions this game started to be a pain in the ass, losing my attetion couple hours after, even playing with a group of friends this is not a good experience much less a rewarding one. There's no solid progression, everything is cosmetic. The enemys are repetitive and stupid, the pvp laughable.

    Gonna give this a chance with gamepass but i can't see a promising future for sea of thieves, unless they add more content and vary the voyages.    … Expand

    Se você tem um bom circulo de amizades na xbox live, gosta de explorar, Sea of Thieves foi feito para vocês, este jogo é feito majoritariamente para se jogar em 2 ou 4 pessoas. O mapa é bem vasto e bonito (porém achar uma ilha no mapa é algo cansativo e chato, deveriam criar um sinalizador de proximidade qdo estiver buscando a ilha no mapa). A qualidade gráfica é digna de respeito.

    Poderia haver ranks de quests conquistadas e algo para mostrar o seu históricos para seus amigos.
    O jogo precisa de mais conteúdos, principalmente voltado a quests e progressão de personagem e barcos. A Rare prometeu conteúdo ao longo do tempo, espero que este jogo não tenha um destino trágico como um Destiny 2.    … Expand

There are few things more exciting in today's gaming then trying to protect your gold, keep your ship floating, all while fighting off enemies in the middle of a vast ocean. This title brings meIn a world were everyone proclaims the same re skinned shooter a masterpiece, Sea of Thieves is a breath of fresh air. This game has taken online co-op multiplayer and battle to a new level. There are few things more exciting in today's gaming then trying to protect your gold, keep your ship floating, all while fighting off enemies in the middle of a vast ocean. This title brings me back to my childhood, to a time when Rare was a gaming giant releasing the best AAA games to ever grace the SNES. This is Rare at its full potential, and i am eagerly anticipating what they have in store for the future.

    When the novelty of these “firsts” wears off though, you’re left $60-100 down with an empty shell of a game that has nothing for you to do but collect cosmetics, do chores, or fart around. You could easily call this game “No Mans Sky: Water Edition” and it would be almost entirely accurate. Both shipped incomplete at FULL retail price when they should have cost $30, both have absolutely nothing exciting to do, and the combat for both games (a noteworthy portion of them) is clunky and unfun.

    It’s time to stop rewarding game developers for creating poor, unfinished experiences and time to start demanding more for our money. I had the luxury of playing Sea of Thieves through Xbox’s game pass, but many people spent their hard earned money on this, and that’s a tragedy in itself. No more pre-ordering, no more excuses, no more waiting 6-12 months for them to so “generously” add the rest of the game you paid for. Take a stand.    … Expand

    Apesar de ter começado ontem, o jogo já me entregou boas horas de diversão. Gráficos cartunescos com muitos detalhes, cores, e boa resolução, um tipo de mmorpg diferente de tudo que já joguei. Sua proposta pode não ser tão inovadora, mas sem sombra de dúvidas é muito divertido e tem um potencial para crescer ainda mais.

    Love pretty much everything about this game. Rare did a great job creating a game that feels different from the rest. People have been complaining about no progression system instead of focusing on being a skilled pirate working with their crew. Give it a chance people, its not as bad as you are making it.

    Its great to see that good old Rare is back! I mean this game has Rare written all over it. From the beautiful landscapes, over the top seamless Multiplayer, True course navigation and plenty of plunder, fire and RUM with bananas top top over it. Absolutely must have. Specially if you already have Xbox Game Pass!

Primeiro não há campanha, o game foi feito para jogar online. O multiplayer é divertido, no entanto, de certo modo, repetitivo.     Valeu a pena a espera. Não consigo parar de joga-lo. Peguei via gamepass e dp vou comprar quando abaixar de preço. Sonystas, parem de negativar o jogo sem nem ter jogado. Isso é feio.

    Sea of Thieves is an awesome game. The graphics are beautiful especially on the X which runs the game at native 4k. The combat mechanics are pretty solid and controlling your ship feels realistic. The water is by far the best water rendered in any game hands down. Sea of Thieves comes to life with friends the game is fun and entertaining playing alone but mp is where it really shines. ItSea of Thieves is an awesome game.     Es un buen juego, en el cual la exploración es la principal mecánica, solo o con amigos, me ha dejado hasta el momento buenas sensaciones.     Use os 14 dias gratuitos da Game Pass pra testar o jogo, porque definitivamente não vale sua compra. O jogo lembra uma beta, com tão pouco conteúdo presente. O end-game? Destravar cosmeticos pro seu pirata. Senso de progressão? Nenhum. Sinceramente, nem perca seu tempo.

    If this game was a movie it would be a straight to DVD type of movie. Makes sense why it went straight to gamepass I guess. This game is easily forgettable and pretty repetitive. Feeling repetitive after 2 hours is not a good sign. I also don't like the art style or the clunky gameplay mechanics. Nothing AAA about this, and could easily pass as a free-to-play title.

    Mais um "joguinho do mês" mediocre. Em 2 horas de gameplay você já fez de tudo oq o jogo oferece. Monótono, fraco, apenas cosmeticos pra desbloquear. Pensamos que esse jogo seria a Redenção, mas é apenas mais uma vergonha pra RARE e Microsoft.

    SoT is so much fun, especially with friends. It is geared to multiplayer and that's not a bad thing, but you can do some stuff in a single player mode. I'm really looking forward to explore more of the game and seeing all the treasures Rare has developed for us to enjoy.

A 5 to me, is a mediocre game that has only a few enjoyable/good things about it. Sea of Thieves embodies this. The games looks good forThis game deserves a fair review, as do all others. But that is where the good aspects stop. The game is a grind-fest for cosmetic items. You do fetch-quest after fetch quest for measly amounts of gold that translate to cosmetic upgrades. There is no over-arching story, only fetch-quests. The gun-play is as bare-bones as it gets, and the sword-play is only slightly better than that. The game gets boring quickly, especially if you play alone. Enemies, fetch-quests, and limited player interactions leave this game a boring slog. It is not a game I recommend regardless of the Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, and PC 'war' mentality. It is too expensive at $60 for what little content is available, and it isn't promising enough to invest in with an early access mentality.

    For those who enjoy it, good. You have every right to, but if you are one of the people discarding valid criticisms on here or other sites, know that it only hurts you and other consumers. Any game can be made fun with friends, that doesn't make the game good. Any game can be improved in the future, but it does not warrant $60 right now. If you really want to give this a try get a two week game pass trial from Xbox, that is the only way I can suggest for others to explore Sea of Thieves.    … Expand

It's a open world sandbox where you can do whatever you want without having a specific end goal except for the legendary pirate title and perks that goes with it.     A única graça é a batalha de navios, todo o resto é a mesma coisa seja, conteúdo 0 como minha nota.

    Fiquem a vontade pra flopar esse jogo, e boa sorte pra quem pagou R$200,00 por isso.
    Já até me arrependi de gastar R$29,00 no gamepass.

    A game that sparks your imagination. Oh, the theme, landscapes, ship physics, sound effects. Sadly, that fantasy does not live beyond the first hours, since there is no content and long-term cycles that support it. I hope Xbox could find their right step in this late phase of current console generation.

    The game is great with a FUN open world and player interaction. Good for casual gamers and"professionals" alike. I can recommend it also for a very good art style and thrill of the very danger pirate life. Watch out for the sharks!

    I have to confess I was a bit skeptical before I played it, but once we set a crew and sailed away, I discovered the most fun I've had in some time; immersion and simplicity are damn near perfectly balanced, a it is deep enough to get you enthused, but not complicated so as to get you frustrated or overwhelmed.     Sea of thieves proves to be an exellent pirate coop adventure with incredible potential and gameplay, that is destined to deliver a lot of fun through mounth and mounth of unending joy. Just be shure to have a trusted mate with you.

    We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
