Getting griefed every five minutes, random game breaking glitches, little to no support and they appear to be down to one server so it’s just you and all the toxic losers who have nothing better to do but to troll you for twenty minutes straight not sinking your ship and killing you over and over. 1 star because the water is definitely where most of the effort went.… Expand

    Fantastic game. Lots of fun and the best sea physics and graphics I've seen in any game ever! This is one of the very few Xbox titles that shined this gen. Well done to Rare.

    The collectibles and items in the store are only aesthetic, no matter how high you have the weapons they remove the same and the clothes protect the same, winning or being sunk is entirely your fault. Get constant updates. There is a lot of content to do, places to visit, treasures to unearth, clues that lead you to more adventures hooking you to play. Search for pearls, search    The good:

Get constant updates. There is a lot of content to do, places to visit, treasures to unearth, clues that lead you to more adventures hooking you to play. Search for pearls, search for merchant contracts, defeat the Kraken, defeat the Megalodon, trade animals, invade a skeleton lair. Take the 1000 Grogs Chest and get drunk while you carry it, carry the wailing chest and see how it cries flooding the cargo area ... It is best played with friends since the adventure is up to you.

    The bad:
    If you hate cartoon graphics, the game will not convince you. Playing alone in the Sloop is the maximum difficulty of the game as well as stressful since a well-organized party can steal your treasures along the way or easily sink your ship. Many no longer have so much time to continue side by side with adventures.

    The Meh!:
    There are those who say that the Kraken has no face, but that was more of a glitch since it does have a beak and yellow eyes that contrast with all the ink it throws into the sea to darken the water, all very gloomy    … Expand

    I have to say that for the past two years i have not played it since launch .
    But when i did start playing it two months ago i just got addicted to this game it’s just a beautiful world to sail in and raid as many islands as possible. It literally makes a dream come true and that dream is becoming a pirate

    "this is one of the most boring games ive played" is the thing i said when the game came out but now here in 2020 it is really one of the best multiplayer/coop games ive played in a long time. there is so many things you can do fx. you can be scared and only do voyages(missions) or you can play the good way by attacking other players when you see them(the way i play).     so this game is really good right now better with friend it has awsome grapichs very cool sound design(fx when you hit an enemy ship it make a cool musical BRUMM to make it sound like it part of the music. it also has really good adaptive music like when the wind hits the sails just right the music swiftly changes to some higher speed music all and all the music is awsome and know just the right moment to start and stop) and it has really satisfying combat so that is why i give it a 9/10

    also the game keeps getting updated every month so that is really cool
    the tall tales are also really fun to do and REMEMBER to get a crew or some friends on your journey because it is just that much better    … Expand

    O Sea of thieves é um jogo incrível muito divertido foi uma experiência muito boa, jogando com os amigos e encontrando novas pessoas para jogar, o jogo deveria colocar mais coisas mas tirando isso o jogo e excelente.

    El juego es mediocre. Xbox hace juegos servicio ideales para una suscripción gold ultimate. Lo malo de todo esto es que sus juegos son producciones que dejan bastante que desear. No lo recomiendo ni con el gamepass

    This game is one of its kind. There is literally no sea of thieves like games. I love the ambiance and the setup, playing with friends, or meeting people is a blast.
    The game really is growing quite well. When it came out I wouldn't have recommended it but now it's a great experience.

My opinion this game Sea of thieves, should still be in beta testing. for one they limit the fps xbox users are allowed to achieve, whereas they dont limit pc users fps, Kind of **** Fps is a Big Big BIG **** Deal. probably the standalone reason i dont like this game. other than that the game progresses like **** you dont get to get anything to make your character more effective in any **** aspect what so ever. its all cosmetic. but im sorry Rare thinks Cosmetics are all that matter. not really but this seems to be the case to me. you only have like 2 options to speed up the fps. thats downgrade to a smaller tv resolution and decrease your fov. FYI its not my internet. Day Z. Plays Perfect on a full server. I just wanted to let everybody know this game is pretty much **** right now.
    The Best Aspect to the game is being able to steer and control the boat. which they probably stole from another game.
    Im sure there going to update it and all that but they boast more than the game is currently worth.

    After spending a few days with the beta and playing a day early using the New Zealand trick.... the game seems very very basic. After completing the first few dozen missions for a faction which are identical to each other. Most of which take place on the same island or islands you keep returning too with no enemy variations and about 95% of your time will be travel time. It would probably improve with friends but you definitely shouldn't go into this by yourself. *wanted to add my thoughts on the progression which looks to be entirely cosmetic based... which would be nice but the game turned into just doing a bunch of boring repeatable fetch quests for hours to paint your weapon blue or put on a coat.

    Played it a lot more. After a lot of updates. It's still meh mostly a colossal waste of time. Sometimes it can be fun with a good event and a good pvp battle. But most of the time people just want to waste your time. Should still avoid unless your preferred play-style is to get with a group of friends and try to mess up other peoples days.     Pvp only is way too frustrating for new players with basic stuff, the game is quite good and beautiful but to die again and again takes all of the fun out... I'm glad i played it with gamepass and didn't have to pay full price. A pve mode would allow more players to enjoy the game especially when a pvp mode already exists.

    Menos mal que está en Gamepass y no lo he comprado... porque menudo aburrimiento.

    No destaca en absolutamente nada y lo triste es que es otro de los títulos que microsoft intenta colar como indispensable para su consola Xbox.

A game that always keeps you on edge as you never know what could quite happen, from megs to krakens from ai ships to player ships, sailing a boat has never felt more scary. The price is also very reasonable for how good a game it is with many options £1 on game pass for a month, so u can try it out and see how good a game it is. And around £25 outright which is extremely reasonable for such a outstanding game. To summarise if you want a brilliant game with thousands of hours of content to play with friends on this is the game that will provide, the new updates have presented so many funny moments and I cannot stress enough how much of a great game this is.     I didn't like this game at all... graphics aren't good, gameplay is boring, almost free to play level, very tedious, uninteresting quests, very little content and there isn't any kind of character progression. I was interested at the beginning for the premise, but the excitement went away very fast.

Not to mention there is a new content update each month, bringing new missions and things to do with every one. The game is now very diverse and has something for everyone. My only complaint is thatSince most of these reviews were set, sea of thieves has progressed massively, adding new PvE encounters, a fun PvP ‘arena’ mode, new trading companies, and awesome story missions full of lore. Not to mention there is a new content update each month, bringing new missions and things to do with every one. The game is now very diverse and has something for everyone. My only complaint is that there could be more additions to the endgame and ship personalisation. But overall, a fantastic MMORPG experience.… Expand

    A parte multiplayer do jogo com os amigos é boa, mas a quantidade de bugs e a falta de utilidades que deveria haver no jogo é de ****, contarei sobre algumas das ocorrências comigo, uma delas foi que estacionei o navio numa ilha e ele ficou meio preso com o píer, logo em seguida o navio começou a se mover sozinho mesmo ancorado e depois ele desapareceu sem nem afundar(foram 3 horasA parte multiplayer do jogo com os amigos é boa, mas a quantidade de bugs e a falta de utilidades que deveria haver no jogo é de ****, contarei sobre algumas das ocorrências comigo, uma delas foi que estacionei o navio numa ilha e ele ficou meio preso com o píer, logo em seguida o navio começou a se mover sozinho mesmo ancorado e depois ele desapareceu sem nem afundar(foram 3 horas perdidas de loot que estavam nos barris de madeira, canhão e comida, logo foram 3 horas jogadas no lixo, obrigado por essa sensação) e outros são quando você vai para lugares que talvez fique preso(mas não ficará) você é teleportado para o navio... além disso, cadê o "kraken" aquilo pra mim são tentáculos! E não podemos nos esquecer de que não há maneira de desativar o pvp mesmo se você só quiser focar na história, logo se algum grupo de players idiotas quiser te seguir eles irão até o fim do mundo e você talvez perca todo o progresso na missão e tudo que estava no navio sem nem ter jeito de contestar já que se você estiver sozinho contra um grupo de 4... acho que já sabe no que dará.… Expand

Un gran océano lleno de aventuras que se generan de forma espontánea en el modo Aventura, donde las misiones sirven deSupongo que las notas que se ven por aquí proceden de la versión inicial del juego, porque tal y como está ahora mismo es una auténtica maravilla. Actualmente se trata de una de las mejores experiencias jugables que uno se puede echar a la cara en compañía de amigos. Un gran océano lleno de aventuras que se generan de forma espontánea en el modo Aventura, donde las misiones sirven de excusa para navegar e interactuar con otros piratas: desde el desafío, abordaje y hundimiento hasta la alianza y beneficio mutuo. Si el mundo (relativamente calmado) del modo aventura no es suficiente, pásate por Arena a combatir directamente, con unas mecánicas perfectamente medidas para que la victoria llegue a través de diferentes posibilidades. Y, si aun así no te sientes realizado como pirata, hazte la campaña solo o en compañía, donde vivirás aventuras dignas de cualquier novela histórica de marineros y saqueadores. Y todo esto en un mundo que trata a todos los jugadores por igual, donde las monedas obtenidas son solo para adquirir cosméticos y donde la espada hace igual de daño lleves 1 día o 300 días jugando. La diferencia la da tu experiencia dentro del mundo. En lo técnico: el agua es impresionante. Cambia de tonalidad con la luz, se encrespa con las tormentas y se siente físicamente real. El diseño de los personajes es una genialidad: coloridos, estereotipados y muy muy simpáticos. Las mecánicas son para dar un abrazo a los creadores. Sin profundizar en menús infumables como en otros títulos, posees multitud de objetos útiles para tus aventuras: cubo para achicar el agua del barco mientras recibes cañonazos y reparas el casco con madera, farol, caña de pescar, altavoz para contactar con otros barcos a distancia, catalejo, brúja, pala, etc. Todos tienen su razón de ser. Y, lo más importante: es un juego de comunidad, donde la diversión crece exponencialmente en compañia.
    Quizá el mayor punto negativo es que para un nuevo jugador todo resulta algo confuso al inicio, pero creo que este primer escollo es realmente una ventaja puesto que te obliga a descubrir. Y "descubrir" es seguramente la principal mecánica de este juego.

    En definitiva, es una joya, una genialidad distinta a todo lo demás. Es sin duda de los mejores juegos que ha dado esta generación. Dale una oportunidad. Juega con un amigo a descubrir tesoros navegando en un veloz balandro y el tiempo se esfumará sin darte cuenta.

    I got onto this game with a couple of guys from work, we all had game pass so we got it for free, and frankly , free to to much investment in this game.
    It is just boring, you do the same thing over and over, get a map find the thing , bring the thing back for reward.     This is a fine game. There isn't much of a story or much to do alone, but working with your team to make a cohesive unit of a crew is extremely satisfying. Sailing a ship feels great and naval combat does as well, unfortunately land combat is about as barebones as possible.     Após um início fraco, o jogo cresceu e melhorou muito, muitas coisas para fazer e diversão com o grupo pirata, além de gráficos bonitos. Apesar de ter muita coisa hoje em dia, me irrita o fato da rare colocar essas missões que necessitam repetir.constantemente.

    You can still feel the Rare charm in this title, and its clear quite a lot of work and passion went into this. And the game is indeed fun to play, if you have reliable players with you. But, its arguably one of their weaker titles.

    pirate game in first person I like the concept of giving you freedom to find what you want as much treasures as islands alone or with friends (always online since you need the xbox live gold) came out almost without content and I value that they have added more content although it's still missing to be a great game

    This game is a 7/10 for a game because all the missions are about the same, and for cool accessories, you have to grind for a while, but this game is 10/10 for a pirate simulator. The ocean looks beautiful, the boats are easy to learn and hard to master, hunting for treasure is fun and playing with friends who love this game is even better.

    O jogo é muito divertido e traz bastante conteúdo para se jogar com amigos. Você pode escolher entre ficar no PVP ou partir para PVP ou ficar 100% no PVP no modo arena. Realmente o game em seu início, teve bug e a ausência de conteúdo mas, isto é questão de tempo. Hoje grande parte dos bugs foram corrigidos, tivemos adição de muito conteúdo no game. O novo conteúdo esta fantástico trazendoO jogo é muito divertido e traz bastante conteúdo para se jogar com amigos. Você pode escolher entre ficar no PVP ou partir para PVP ou ficar 100% no PVP no modo arena. Realmente o game em seu início, teve bug e a ausência de conteúdo mas, isto é questão de tempo. Hoje grande parte dos bugs foram corrigidos, tivemos adição de muito conteúdo no game. O novo conteúdo esta fantástico trazendo quests para o game, adicionando histórias de embarcações e piratas e ao terminar as quests, o jogador é premiado com títulos e itens exclusivos para seu pirata e barco. Gostei bastante do conteúdo adicionado no update de aniversário (Tall Tales Shores of Gold). Claro quando se aplica um patch grande um e outro bug aparecem mas, logo é corrigido, tanto que, hoje em dia não vejo mais uma quantia grande de bugs.

    Não tenho acesso a número de players mas, acredito no que a Rare falou sobre o SEA ter uma excelente saúde em seus servidores. Jogo com minha esposa e sempre tem pessoas online para fechar embarcação (se não tiver em grupo com amigos), também vemos bastante pirada ao mar, dos bons ao ruins! O modo arena não é meu foco por ser PVP mas, todas vezes que joguei aleatório ou grupo, estava com muitos players e o “pau quebrando” geral! Gostei bastante, tanto que, irei me aprofundar.

    Acredito que a proposta do game fora atingida com seus gráficos, atualizações e updates, para mim é um excelente game e é um dos mais jogados da minha lista de jogos. Minhas lives na Twitch de SEA em algumas ocasiões chegam a ser de 10 horas!

    Não tenho o que reclamar de gráfico, acho eles muito legais por terem uma pegada cartunesca e as personalizações de pirata e barco dão um toque super “bacana” ao game. Adoro a “sound track” do game, me faz jogar com mais vontade o game! Isto quando não escuto lista de música para auxiliar na inspiração da exploração marítima do dia!

    Enfim, se você gosta deste tipo de game embarque nesta aventura, caso negativo, acredito que este não seja o seu game!

    An excellent coop experience with perfect cartooning pirate vibes. Sea of Thieves has been changing and constantly been receiving updates by Rare to make fans sail into the game again. Adding a story mode, multiple islands, more features and enemy factions. Without any doubt, Sea of Thieves is the best coop experience anyone can find only on the Microsoft family devices.

If you remember when you boot up the game you will see a intro, at the end you will see the “Athenas Fortune” symbol remember the map it shows a entry to the sea of thieves. Just so you know the game is online but you can go to manual but you will only play with your friends k?. Let’s get back to the game, so when you wake up and exit the tavern and you finally get to play the game. When you are finally playing you will get a tutorial on how to play the game and to get in your “tools” wheel, ,.how to walk/run, and your weapons. Once you learned all of this you get to set sail and sail the seven seas.

    Players have different experiences when playing Sea of Thieves. You can randomly be assigned on a ship and have to figure out, or force your role. Do you prefer to steer the ship, or stand watch in the crows nest? Man the cannons or repair the ship? Sometimes, it’s a scramble in the midst of a battle and people will fall into their roles.

    You can also talk to players, which changes the game experience. Some are cooperative and easy to work with. Some are hostile and nasty. Not only do you have to try and make a cohesive team on your own ship, but you have to be able to communicate effectively with other ships or you end up fighting to save all the treasure you found on the islands.

    Each island is likely to have hidden treasure and you have to use your treasure maps and hints to find the locations of them. More often than not, you’ll have to fight off waves of skeleton pirates who want to protect their treasure on skeleton forts or on land. Are you better with a gun or sword in a fight? You’re about to find out!

    No entanto, é um PÉSSIMO jogo, é algo que será esquecido, não existe profundidade, e lamento para aqueles que ficarão se matando ao fazer 1000 horas de grind de ouro.     O jogo não lhe da senso de direção, não te pega pela mão e os jogadores mais experientes terão que lhe guiar a todo momento, tornando a experiência monótona, e cansativa para ambos os lados, infelizmente eles ousaram demais, quiseram fazer algo totalmente novo mas utilizaram das características de game design mais patéticas da industria, nem se quer colocaram um sistema de progressão, rank ou tracker, as conquistas são impossíveis, combate enferrujado e dificuldade frustrante.
    O mundo criado é lindo, porém vazio, os eventos escassos como o tubarão, kraken e os navios fantasma não mais impressiona na segunda vez, e você apenas deseja que não aconteça de novo, pois o jogo não tem um Gun Fight bom.
    A história é inexistente, mesmo jogos com foco exclusivo no MMO, jogos como serviço e grind, possui um background na história(Destiny, anthem e RPG´s online), e quando se é explorado de maneira correta, acaba à ter uma fanbase sólida para consumir produtos de outras mídias, sea of thieves não possui nem justificativa dos acontecimentos, tudo acontece de maneira rasa e superficial .    … Expand

    We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
