    I have to confess I was a bit skeptical before I played it, but once we set a crew and sailed away, I discovered the most fun I've had in some time; immersion and simplicity are damn near perfectly balanced, a it is deep enough to get you enthused, but not complicated so as to get you frustrated or overwhelmed. Of course it's better to play with friends, but then again, why not making newI have to confess I was a bit skeptical before I played it, but once we set a crew and sailed away, I discovered the most fun I've had in some time; immersion and simplicity are damn near perfectly balanced, a it is deep enough to get you enthused, but not complicated so as to get you frustrated or overwhelmed.     Sea of thieves proves to be an exellent pirate coop adventure with incredible potential and gameplay, that is destined to deliver a lot of fun through mounth and mounth of unending joy. Just be shure to have a trusted mate with you.

    Its great to see that good old Rare is back! I mean this game has Rare written all over it. From the beautiful landscapes, over the top seamless Multiplayer, True course navigation and plenty of plunder, fire and RUM with bananas top top over it. Absolutely must have. Specially if you already have Xbox Game Pass!

    The game is great with a FUN open world and player interaction. Good for casual gamers and"professionals" alike. I can recommend it also for a very good art style and thrill of the very danger pirate life. Watch out for the sharks!

    When I first arrived in Sea of thieves, the atmosphere brought back memories of Breath of the Wild.. but on the Sea. The exploration is the best you will get in a video game and its fun factor is on another level, and lets not talk about how good those water effects. This game isn't for the boring people. Its a social game similar to games like World of Warcraft.     It's a fun coop game for sure. Great artstyle and amazing water. My only issue is the 30fps. It's hard to go back after playing Fortnite, Halo, Gears etc in 60fps.
    Would probably be a 10 if it was 60fps.

Realmente o game em seu início, teve bug e a ausência de conteúdo mas, isto é questão de tempo. Hoje grande parte dos bugs foram corrigidos, tivemos adição de muito conteúdo no game. O novo conteúdo esta fantástico trazendoO jogo é muito divertido e traz bastante conteúdo para se jogar com amigos. Você pode escolher entre ficar no PVP ou partir para PVP ou ficar 100% no PVP no modo arena. Realmente o game em seu início, teve bug e a ausência de conteúdo mas, isto é questão de tempo. O novo conteúdo esta fantástico trazendo quests para o game, adicionando histórias de embarcações e piratas e ao terminar as quests, o jogador é premiado com títulos e itens exclusivos para seu pirata e barco. Gostei bastante do conteúdo adicionado no update de aniversário (Tall Tales Shores of Gold). Claro quando se aplica um patch grande um e outro bug aparecem mas, logo é corrigido, tanto que, hoje em dia não vejo mais uma quantia grande de bugs.

    Não tenho acesso a número de players mas, acredito no que a Rare falou sobre o SEA ter uma excelente saúde em seus servidores. Jogo com minha esposa e sempre tem pessoas online para fechar embarcação (se não tiver em grupo com amigos), também vemos bastante pirada ao mar, dos bons ao ruins! O modo arena não é meu foco por ser PVP mas, todas vezes que joguei aleatório ou grupo, estava com muitos players e o “pau quebrando” geral! Gostei bastante, tanto que, irei me aprofundar.

    Acredito que a proposta do game fora atingida com seus gráficos, atualizações e updates, para mim é um excelente game e é um dos mais jogados da minha lista de jogos. Minhas lives na Twitch de SEA em algumas ocasiões chegam a ser de 10 horas!

    Não tenho o que reclamar de gráfico, acho eles muito legais por terem uma pegada cartunesca e as personalizações de pirata e barco dão um toque super “bacana” ao game. Adoro a “sound track” do game, me faz jogar com mais vontade o game! Isto quando não escuto lista de música para auxiliar na inspiração da exploração marítima do dia!

    Enfim, se você gosta deste tipo de game embarque nesta aventura, caso negativo, acredito que este não seja o seu game!

    Do not focus on earlier reviews, because this game has come back. The tall tales are awesome, you could play just tall tales for 20 hours, AND THEN play the real game. A magical, fun, heartwarming explore experience.

    If you want to fight bigger and bigger monsters with bigger health bars while getting bigger guns to chip away at bigger health bars then this is not the game for you.

    You play this game for the fun of playing with friends, chatting, sailing, cooperating, digging and hunting, getting in to storms with a full ship of treasure and nearly losing it all, getting attacked by other players    If you want to fight bigger and bigger monsters with bigger health bars while getting bigger guns to chip away at bigger health bars then this is not the game for you.

    You play this game for the fun of playing with friends, chatting, sailing, cooperating, digging and hunting, getting in to storms with a full ship of treasure and nearly losing it all, getting attacked by other players half way through a fort fight as they try and steal your winnings, seeing two other ships in the distance having a fight, and deciding you need in on this and all the loot should be yours.

    All the mechanics are solid.
    Sailing works well, fights can get very tactical, and there are lots of hidden items and emergent quests that come along as you are sailing around.

    The only thing I dislike is that fundamentally you are doing three types of quests, kill skeletons, dig up treasure, or collect animals.

    I feel they need to add some more AI interactions. Skeleton ships to attack, or pirate hunters who come after you when you have lots of loot on board.

    All in all it is a fun game, especially with friends. But the joy of the game comes from when interactions occur between players. The base mechanics itself can drag.    … Expand

I believe the negative reviews that it's getting are largely due to the fact that so many people pre-ordered this game without doing much, if any, research into it. It was made very clear that this would be a different sort of game with no overarching story, instead focusing on making your own story with your friends. I was slightly let down with the lack of appearance customization as this is the only progression in the game, but the team at rare has said the game will be getting many updates and events as time goes on. I personally love playing this game and i can easily spend an entire night sailing around the seas and joking with my friends. I do wish there was a little bit more in the sense of people you can get reputation with, but the challenging parts of the game (the skeleton forts, the kraken) are somewhat rare which makes it very fun and surprising when it happens. I'm happy with this game but i believe everyone should fully do their research before purchasing this game. It is definitely not a game for everybody.… Expand

    Honestly a very fun game. If you're a person that doesn't like to choose what you do and buy games for the shooting aspect or the role-playing aspect of it than SoT might not be the best game for you. I love it because I can fight skeletons, fight other people, or just look for chests depending on what I want to do.

    An excellent coop experience with perfect cartooning pirate vibes. Sea of Thieves has been changing and constantly been receiving updates by Rare to make fans sail into the game again. Adding a story mode, multiple islands, more features and enemy factions. Without any doubt, Sea of Thieves is the best coop experience anyone can find only on the Microsoft family devices.

The price is also very reasonable for how good a game it is with many options £1 on game pass for a month, so u can try it out and see how good a game it is. And around £25 outright which is extremely reasonable for such a outstanding game. To summarise if you want a brilliant game with thousands of hours of content to play with friends on this is the game that will provide, the new updates have presented so many funny moments and I cannot stress enough how much of a great game this is. Plenty of content for a release, and logically, more news should come in the near future. A pity to see people who do not even have the game, make negative comments and want to spoil the experience of who is actually playing. I RECOMMEND ! WAIT WAS WORTH IT!

I didn't expect it to be skyrim where I can play for a year straight I looked as a fun game to the arsenal that me and my buddys pick up every now and then and have a blast.     I was very excited for when this game was announced, and was awaiting its release. This is a very fun game with friends, and I love how this game gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. The graphics are beautiful and this whole idea is great. I love the ship and water physics, and the islands are unique and individually beautiful. Some people complain about the how weapons are clumsy, but hey, thats pirate-age weaponry for you. I was glad Rare announced how they will have constant updates and live campaigns. I hope they can make the map bigger and have more islands, because they kept most of them the same from the beta testing. Glad this came out and is a great multiplayer and adventure experience.     The games graphics are gorgeous, the best I've seen in a video game so far. Having played for two days now, I have been on multiple adventures, with epic stories to tell. This game is really about what you make it. Rare has given you the tools to go out and have fun. In a lot of ways it reminds me of Minecraft. Its pleasant balance between mission or "voyage" based rank up system and a social platform where you can go to hang out with your friends makes this game something to remember. Though the game has voyages and an ultimate goal, nothing is stopping you from battling other pirates or taking down a skeleton fort with your crew. Sea of Thieves could definitely improve its storyline as some voyages can get a little repetitive and there is still a lot of glitches (this should be improved as the game evolves and gets updates). I would recommend picking up this game if you play online a lot with friends and are ready for the intensive grind to become a pirate legend.… Expand

Many people complain about the lack of depth, and they definitely are on to something, but I've had nothing but fun with this game. I would recommend having at least one friend to play this game with. Playing alone is possible, but the game is easier and more enjoyable if you sail with your friends. Speaking ofSea of Thieves is a hilarious multiplayer experience like no other right now. Many people complain about the lack of depth, and they definitely are on to something, but I've had nothing but fun with this game. I would recommend having at least one friend to play this game with. Playing alone is possible, but the game is easier and more enjoyable if you sail with your friends. Speaking of sailing, that's where Sea of Thieves really shines. The sailing mechanic is just so... right. It's simple enough to get the hang of, but controlling your galleon well requires all four members to communicate and work together. Sailing the seas with my friends is some of the most fun I've had in a long time. That's not really something you can quantify in a review. In conclusion, I would 100% recommend this game, IF you have friends to play it with. It can still be fun alone, but without friends you'll quickly run out of things to do.… Expand

    Love pretty much everything about this game. Rare did a great job creating a game that feels different from the rest. People have been complaining about no progression system instead of focusing on being a skilled pirate working with their crew. Give it a chance people, its not as bad as you are making it.

Rare is finally back after their journey from Kinect games. The fighting mechanics with the guns and swords are crappy, though.     I love how the hate keeps coming ! 90% of l the people that gave it a 0-5 made a new account just to hate... first off the game is fun just like all your other pvp style games plus u do treasure hunting and gank other people with treasures!! Without people to sail the seas with the fun factor drops off a bit. I'm giving it a 10 to counter all of the ridiculous trolls and their unsubstantiated zero scores.     This game is gorgeous. I played the alpha and beta and now retail release and can not get enough of how good this games looks and how fun it is alone and with friends. sailing the seas, finding treasure, skulsl, pigs, chickens and then avoiding or fighting other players is a blast. can't wait to see what additions are going to be added to this down the road.

    Its is such a fun game to play, with friend and a lot of fun if u want to free roam and grab some treasures. Its nice that the most things in game are cosmetic what makes it a fair game.

    The developer are awesome because they keep u up to date with al the bugs and how they are gonna fix it.

    Estou dando 9 apenas pela instabilidade no servidor que me deixou bem frustrado e é um jogo que depende muito de jogadores por enquanto porque a melhor ação esta em brigar com outra tripulação, vendo que isso não acontece se o jogo não agradar a muitos.     My dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can playMy dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can play for hours. The proximity voice chat is also implemented well and I've had hours of fun talking with randoms.

    If you're looking to (buy/interested in) this game, but not quite sure, here's a list of things to consider:

    1. This game is on the Windows 10 PC store and is fully crossplay (Even allowing parties on the Xbox app) but you WILL need an Xbox live gold membership so keep that in mind. (I was skeptical being a PC/Nintendo gamer myself) The crossplay is flawless though, and graphics on PC look spectacular and controls nicely. I would definitely recommend the PC version despite only being available on the infamous Windows 10 store.
    2. This game is grindy, meaning you'll spend a lot of time doing what feels like the same quest over and over. This makes the single player feel empty unless you're actively teaming up with other ships. If you like playing alone or you don't have a lot of friends with this game, this might be a deal breaker.
    3. At the time of writing this review, all upgrades are cosmetic. Plans for ship upgrades have been hinted at, however. (This full price game has no game-altering micro-transactions and has no plans for them, no need to worry)
    4. Besides other players, the NPC enemies are a bit lacking, they're only skeletons and their different variations (Shadow, leaf, gold, etc) and sharks in the ocean. If you're not a fan of PVP this might be a deal breaker.
    5. For those of you who are in for the PVP, some players take it upon themselves to hunt you down no matter what. This isn't the problem with the game itself but it's worth mentioning. It might get a tad frustrating to assert your dominance over a group of troublesome pirates that reap no rewards.

    And finally, the purchase price. This game is a full price $60 game, but its current content makes it feel like less. If the price is throwing you off, this game is available on Microsoft's new service, "Game pass."
    This game is 100% free with this $10 monthly service, there's even a 14 free trial for those wanting to demo the game before purchase. This makes the lacking content feel more justified and I strongly recommend anyone interested to use Game pass instead of a full purchase.

    This game is gorgeous, controls well, has an alright community, has flawless crossplay, and is a blast with friends. If all of this sounds fun I'd definitely recommend, despite its various flaws.    … Expand

The four usable weapons are a flintlock, a blunderbuss, a long rifle, and a sword. a maximum of Two weapons can be carried at once.

    the game is very fun to play with co op and even by yourself, but if you play it alone it can get very stressful as its a one man crew, so i recommend playing with some friends

    Graphics

    the graphics are beautiful with some breathtaking views with lots of colour to the landscape. the only downside to the game is the lack of content which if you payed full price of £40 can feel like a waste of money when other games such as far cry 5 are out at the moment. when the game gets more content added i will jump right back in to the action.

    but if you bought xbox game pass then this game is a lot of fun. and definitely give it a try if you haven’t already    … Expand

We ended up getting chased by another Galleon and in the distance we spotted a Sloop. WeThis game is exactly what was advertised. This is what the game is all about, making memories and stories with your friends. I love the community in this game and I love the randomness in this game. We are all pirates in this game and there are no actual "rules of engagement" in this game so be ready to be both the antagonist and protagonist in this great game.… Expand

    SoT is so much fun, especially with friends. It is geared to multiplayer and that's not a bad thing, but you can do some stuff in a single player mode. I'm really looking forward to explore more of the game and seeing all the treasures Rare has developed for us to enjoy.

It's a open world sandbox where you can do whatever you want without having a specific end goal except for the legendary pirate title and perks that goes with it.     We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
