    All the time crashes after the race begin. Absolutely dishonest lottery ticket system. In general, it's a disappointment, not a good game.

    I fired up this game today after being disgusted during my initial experience with the game and found that I have zero motivation to play it. Gran Turismo 7 has taught me that I can no longer buy games on release. I have to wait and see what the players are saying about a game before I decide to buy or not. We can't trust reviews from gaming journalist if gaming companies are going to remove aspects of the game that they know will be unpopular in order to secure a better review to bolster sales. There are over 8500 negative reviews on this game mostly, due to, microtransactions, small race payouts, and lack of one player content so I won't belabor points others have already made. The one aspect of the game that people seem to be ok with is the the actual gameplay. However, I think this is subpar as well and this is largely due to the AI. The AI does not serve as competition for the player, it is only there to provide an illusion of competition. The AI in this game randomly receives grip and speed boost making practicing on a track to get better almost pointless. It doesn't race other AI's or the player. When you grind a race, you notice cars behaving exactly the same over and over again. The AI is programed to do certain things at certain times. That's it. I think Polyphony has grown tired of making Gran Truismo so they made GT7 to put the franchise out to pasture. That's the only way any of this makes sense.… Expand

    Game has great driving physics, glorious hardware accelerated audio that is realistic, good dualsense controller execution and from a technical standpoint its amazing.

    However gameplaywise this game has completly and entirely failed to deliver a well made Singleplayer Campaign at all. Hence this Game only gets a 2 in its Score.     I've played all the GT games ever since the very first one. It's always been the main reason I buy each model Playstation but version 7.. leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The rigged roulette wheel, the highly annoying dashboard reflections in the windscreen. Changing of physics after I bought the game (for a lot of money) are all a disgrace. I'm not at all happy with it. After all thoseI've played all the GT games ever since the very first one.     One of the best car simulators! Graphics are great, the feeling of sound and control is very realistic. An interesting model of passage, you feel high when you get prizes after passing the tracks

    This is simple best racing game on consoles. Btw anybody giving 0/10 or talking about microtransactions know nothing, game has no issue with economy after April patch as you can earn plenty money in circuit experience, human comedy missions, time trials every 2 weeks etc. (btw I platinumed this game with 0 grinding)

    Low quality game. The developers Polyphony Digital are now oned by Sony and haven't made a good game since Gran Turismo 5. More like a mobile game.

    Sony has made the flagship race simulator franchise into an online-only, microtransaction-filled abomination.

    They said: "how can we maximize profits with this game?" And it reeks of corporate design. Say 'NO' to games that require an online connection. Say 'NO' to games that try to milk you with microtransactions, in-game "currency", etc. Pure shameless cash grab.

    The game itself, is good. Details on cars are unrivaled, and physics are among the top league EXCEPT for the rally physics. If you are a car fan, there isn't really a reason you shouldn't play this game, and I'd recommend it to anyone who are remotely interested.

    After the community backlash PD has updated the game and addressed the vast majority of user complaints. I have been playing Gran Turismo since GT2 and am a huge fan. I am very disappointed in the blatant MTX cashgrab that PD have opted for in GT7. It is much worse than in GT Sport which was an acceptable balance between DLC car cost and race rewards. The driving experience is great but at this point I am going to stop playing for a while to see if they rebalance the rewards. The roulette system is also very obviously geared to give you low prize more often than not. A huge problem is also that certain tuning components can also only be obtained from this system. Very disappointed in PD especially considering I paid over $100NZD for this game I wouldn’t expect to continue to be fleeced by the developers for in-game credits.… Expand

    Great core game like all the rest I've played in the series BUT these micro transactions, ridiculous grinding to buy overpriced cars, can't sell your cars, then you need to be online to access the main game.

I will not buy any game that promintly features them. Certainly I will not buy micro transactions in GT7 no matter what!

    The microtransactions are also dreadfully implemented as without them, you will be grinding the same races again and again and again to try to keep up with the cost of buying, upgrading and maintaining your vehicles.

    That's not to mention smaller issues such as the very limited and low quality music or that the music challenges themselves are poorly executed and add nothing to the game in terms of variety.

    I've loved the Gran Turismo series since 1 and this is the most poorly designed yet. I bought a PS5 for this game and I am very disappointed in Polyphony Digital - they have lost significant credibility in my eyes as a developer and I won't trust them in future.    … Expand

    Seria um óptimo jogo para 2017 quando saiu o GT Sport. Atualmente deixa muito a desejar para 2022, parece que estou a jogar no PlayStation 3.

    I have been putting my time into this game and I think I was misled on how "Great" this game is by everyone. It feels like they took the PS4 and did bare minimum upgrades and add a few new cars. Just look at the car list to understand, most of the cars are pre-2018. And then there is the music from like 2000's emo rock bands. And by far the worst thing, the graphics are still sub-par.I have been putting my time into this game and I think I was misled on how "Great" this game is by everyone. Great, you have raytracing in Gran Turismo 7 but not in any actually playing / race mode. The actual surrounding around the track (the trees, the fencing, the stands, etc) all feel like a Fifa flipping shortcut flat with no uniqueness... it looks Sus if every rod in a fence is exactly the same. And don't get me wrong, this is a simulation... and it still doesn't simulate wall crashes or accidents and still win a race. How is this considered a "Great" Sim Racer at this point? It is just an average good game... but not any 10s worthiness as some reviewers say.

    This game would be a solid 10/10 if there was no DRM, I can still play GT1-6 and even GT Sport after the servers go down but not this game.

    My gf bought this game for me as a surprise. I really enjoy the game, but the reward is not enough to continue to get into it, then the maintaine took me lots of time to wait for it. It made me really sad and mad. If you want to buy the game, $60 is not worth it, plz wait for its discount.

    -stop reducing payouts
    -stop pushing mtx down our throat
    -bring back selling our cars, this is a SIMULATION game. in IRL we can sell cars..
    -stop the rolling start BS, so annoying starting 19cars/40+sec behind so you just make your car OP and catch them quick to win by 30sec.. that is no fun at all and doesn't challenge anyone
    -make SINGLE PLAYER available OFFLINE

However, reviews were convincing enough about the quality of the game and even though it was grindy it wasn't totally impossible to get some of the cars.

    Now post 1.07 it is very clear the direction    Base game is great (Cars, tracks, graphics, sound, physics, etc.). However, saw articles right off the bat about microtransactions and was initially concerned which nearly stopped me buying. However, reviews were convincing enough about the quality of the game and even though it was grindy it wasn't totally impossible to get some of the cars.

    Now post 1.07 it is very clear the direction this game is going in and it's extremely disheartening. Wish I had waited a few more weeks before pulling the trigger on this because nerfing payouts and increasing the focus on microtransactions is starting to ruin the game for me. The economy needs a complete overhaul. Until this changes think people need to stay away from this game altogether and very disappointed in Sony / PD.

    Update: I have updated my review to a 5/10 based on Polyphony's proposed show of faith. If they actually execute on it I would happily give this game a 10/10 and remove the negative components of my review above. I also encourage all users to do the same. For once, we have gotten a developer to listen to our feedback, so we had best reward them when they do so.

Encima no aporta nada nuevo al anterior versión sport, los mismos autos pero más caros, conexión a internet permanente para evitar que hagas trampa en las compras, no en el juego, progresión lentísima para que te desesperes y pagues, decepcionado con loPagar 70 dólares y que tenga microtransacciones que de micro no tienen nada, algunas cuestan la mitad del juego, es demasiada avaricia.     El juego es HORROROSO, Microtransacciones pay to win hasta por los ojos, gráficos de pasada generacion ni siquiera se puede decir "intergeneracional" porque de verdad parece un juego de estreno para ps3, aburridisimo y de simulador no tiene ni el nombre, no lo recomiendo por nada del mundo, son 80 euros, en latinoamerica eso es demaciado para un juego tan mediocre

    I absolutely love the gameplay and have nothing but respect for the GT series. BUT...... the Microtransactions are absolutely disgusting. They released the game to reviewers prior to the Microtransactions being able to be seen, then they let them give the game high scores because they didn't know, then release the game and add some of the worst and most expensive Microtransactions I haveI absolutely love the gameplay and have nothing but respect for the GT series. Online Races give you basically nothing in credits even if you win, like 12,0000 credits for 15 minutes work and then they charge you 1-20 million for most of the good/legendary Cars, 3 of which you actually need for a trophy in the game, thus making the platinum trophy almost unobtainable. To buy 1 car at 3million credits costs around £40 and to buy the 20m credit car it's around £155 FOR ONE CAR!!!! They say "We want to reflect the real world with car prices" but don't reflect the real world with race payouts, don't reflect the real world with the fact that you can't sell cars you own in this game and they also don't reflect the real world with car pricing accurately anyway because most GR.3 cars for example all cost the same price which wouldn't be the case in real life. They also give us the FOMO effect (fear of missing out) by making the rare and most expensive Cars rotate between stores and if you don't buy them it could be a while before they come back. This creates the sense of urgency with players to either spend real money to not miss out or... You guessed it, miss out. The daily reward for playing is a roulette ticket which is similar to a loot box. These roulettes give you the worst rewards 95% of the time and it doesn't even matter what rarity the roulette ticket is. Honestly if I had to make a list of all the things not to do with Microtransactions then Gran Turismo 7 has just done it for us. HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN.

    Summary:
    - Low Reward payouts in game
    - Very Expensive Microtransactions in a full priced game
    - FOMO with rotating Stores
    - Online Race rewards are basically non existent
    - Can't sell your cars to make money
    - Fixed roulette wheels, that can give you duplicate cars that you can't even sell.
    - Nearly impossible Platinum Trophy due to the "Three Legendary Cars trophy".

    Thanks for listening to community input and fixing this beautiful game. Please update the roulette wheel - if the prize is predetermined (which it is) don’t bother with the wheel spin, it’s just wasting everyone’s time.
    GT7 is easily the best PS5 game released to date.

    highly overrated. Menu structure is a joke. AI is crap and inconsistent. Game is too hard to play with a ps5 controller. Hardly any singleplayer content. Earning money is nearly impossible. Expected more of this

But these races are mostly always chase the rabbit style races, where you start right at the back and have to catch up to the leader. It's just a shame that the AI is so terrible - they will brake mid corner, and ignore you being right next to them.

    It's 2022, and Polyphony Digital has somehow made worse AI than indie simracing studios. The campaign isn't fun if you're even remotely fast.

    The game teaches you so much about racing... But there's no actual racing found until right at the end of the singleplayer campaign.

    With a proposed AI improvement Sophy, begs the question... Why release the game without this? AI is such a core part of a racing game.

The physics are massively improved, more sim like, and the wet weather handling/dynamic weather is amazing. The last license test is a great example of this.     There are two franchises that will always sell - a good one called Mario Kart and a terrible one called Gran Turismo. This series has always been about as exciting as poking one of your eyeballs out with a sharpened pencil. It's shockingly easy and doesn't have near the replay value or graphical fidelity of Forza (the highest rated racing series of all time).

Differences between the PS4 and PS5 probably could be bigger given the difference in hardware, on the flip side it runs amazingly well on the PS4. The problem is that after the menu book ends there is very little content left. The game feels unfinished in it's current state. It's not unreasonable to expect be a able to play the single user mode while servers are down. Polyphony do better ! EDIT: After 1.17 I'm increasing the rating to an 8, the game is in a much better state than when it was released, the updates are a bit hit or miss though. Some introduce game braking bugs, others give us amazing races like the 1 hour race at Spa and the excellent Watkins Glen race track. The economy is still an imbalanced mess and the daily reward system is more infuriating than rewarding, but overall I feel we are moving in the right direction although without much communication from PD and without some sort of red line in the updates.… Expand

    Wow 1.07 update just downgraded the earnings for every race by 25% or even more. You can't do that after release that's just criminal.
    Update: they are going to fix it, and everybody got some extra cash. It's good enough for me.

These kids want everything for nothing. GT fans remember old titles and it’s always been the case that you have to win to earn and progress.     The Ai is rubbish , Ive read stuff about the Ai being far better than GT sport well it isnt , I t struggles to realise you are there and will quite often just keep moving into you until you spin out , plus you cant make them spin at all , they act tanks sometimes.

    Career is way to short. Micro transactions are extremely disappointing sense they force you to purchase them if you dont want to grind into insanity. The final nail was the latest patch that lowered in-game money rewards to force you to try and spend IRL money. Edit: WIll raise score if there promises come to pass.

    I am a long time fan of the Gran Turismo Franchise. I love the game, this can be patched to turn into a 10/10 game, but can't stand for the current in game currency.
    Edit: As of the latest patch, I appreciate the direction the game is going. Will leave it as a solid 8

    This game is a real car dealing simulation, micro transactions is the only game mechanic that works great. Don't waste your money or time on this garbage. Go play some Super Mario Bros instead, at least you can enjoy jumping around.

    Dont pay more than 5€ for this. There's no career mode and every cafe race is a rolling start where you have to start last and catch the first driver which is usually 40 seconds away. This is a racing game without racing, do not buy this crap.

    Not worth your money unless you are the biggest driving fan and can get this game on extreme sale.
