    Very realistic sometimes comes with consequences in driving but plenty of ways to learn to play the game, has some small details that are very neat. Very detailed plethora of cars and customization.

    I never expected to sink into Gran Turismo. I bounced off GT Sport, but there's something special about the new edition. The form, progression, and driving experience that keeps me playing.

    Bought this game to drive the Civic Type R FK8. Got it with ingame money, no real money required. The rest of the game is great, will happily play this for the coming years.

    This game is a great sim racer. Gran turismo will never fail at being a sim racer. This game is amazing with a steering wheel, but so are all the other GT's. The cars are insanely detailed and the sound is amazing. The tracks are fun as well. They put a ton of effort in this game. That being said, why the hell are there microtransactions of this caliber tied directly to the progression ofThis game is a great sim racer. Gran turismo will never fail at being a sim racer.     You buy cars with in-game credits, you earn credits with in-game races, just like always. The only microtransactions I see are to buy extra credits, if you don't want to buy them; don't!

    Anyway, now onto the game.
    It actually has a different career format to previous games, it kind of forces you to do specific races to win specific cars. I wasn't the biggest fan at first, I liked having a wider variety of races/championships to choose from instead of a more linear path. However, it grew on me, it meant I had to drive different sorts of cars, in different sorts of conditions.
    Another side was short races that resulted in winning a car, you win a race, and get a car? Seems a little mad, but honestly it's great for those people who love collecting cars, and there is a lot of focus on that in this game! There's a new feature of earning collectors points, which add up every time to win or purchase a car, so there's clearly a lot of emphasis on it!
    The tuning shop it brilliant, I always enjoyed tuning up cars in previous games, and this time round it feels even better, especially with being able to feel the changes made whilst driving, given the response from the haptic-feedback controllers.
    Livery customisation is great fun! You can design yourself a sleek, subtly faded colour design for your car, or go all-out on decals and create a crazy looking racing machine (or a 180mph billboard plastered with a ton of advertisements and brands if you so desire).
    Short one on the tracks and the cars themselves. These are great. Nothing more to add, they are just great!
    Graphics look incredible too!

    Overall it's a fantastic game, and I would say all the negatives to it are either nitpicking, or very situational. Definitely worth picking up, even if the price may be off-putting for some, perhaps games wouldn't be so expensive if we all didn't love them so much?    … Expand

    The perfect Racing Simulator! Except this goddamn pay to win aspect. After completing the Main Cups there aren‘t good options to gain those ingame credit/ and the game invites you to buy some specials cars for a limited time. The point: these cars cost about 2-4 millions of these credits!! By playing the World GT Cup which costs you around 2 hours of pure racing time you just gain around 400k of those credits. The Game lets you choose between two options: Grind your ass off night and day or pay 20€ for 2 Millions of credits. It‘s a shame for a 80€ game because instead of this aspect the whole game is masterpiece on it‘s own!! It‘s just a shame. How dare you, Sony.

    Update: there was an update so i have to downgrade my rating to 0. they massively nerfed the methods to earn credits via race. **** you Polyphony.

    Original: If there was any question the economy of the game was set up to push people to buy overpriced credits from PSN, Update 1.07 should make it painfully obvious of this fact. Polyphony nerfed what was already low credit payouts for races. Couple this with almost all of the single player content needing an always online connection and this effectively kills what good feelings I have with the game.

    The core of the game is really good. Have bumped my score back up to reflect the latest round of changes about earning money. It's now possible to at least earn *some* money and put a dent in buying a car.

    Update 1.09 is a step in a good direction. Revising my review to be more in keeping with the overall beauty of the game with less emphasis on the microtransactions as a deal-breaker. Ready to get back to racing.

Barely any newer cars with the majority being 5+ years old from all the major brands. Don't expect to drive any new Prosche, BMW, AMG, Ferrari, Chevy, Ford and so on. My biggest gripe with Forza Horizon 5 was the lack of new cars, but this one takes the cake.This game is so disappointing in every way outside of driving.     The UI is horrendous for a current game with a lot of clicking to move around. The avatars that interact with you look like stolen clip art and very unoriginal. They have never ending dialogue and the cafe owner wants to lecture you on cars every time you try to get new races.

    The music is also a mix bag of annoyance, Final Fantasy and 32-bit golf. Why did they feel the need to remix classical music as digitized jazz? It will then flip to a modern song which is jarring. Forza at least offer channels so you can decide what genre to listen to.

    The game has also become a live service with all of the trappings of loot, real money for in-game currency and prize wheels. Why do I have to sit through a long, drawn out animation, to see what prize I get.

    Both Sony and Polyphony should be ashamed of this game and where it has gone. They took a series that was 100% about cars and racing and made it 10% of a bunch of modern garbage. Spent all the money on ways to make more money and not on the heart of the game.    … Expand

    Im giving it a 7. The racing part of the game is good with amazing sounds and visuals on the ps5,car selection is good,tune up options are good. That’s not how racing works in real life and this is supposed to be the real driving simulator right? Makes gran turismo feel like a cross between a sim and an arcade racer. I don’t understand why polyphony decided to take these unnecessary risks when every single fan just wanted a good old fashioned gt game on current gen consoles. I get it,some people are new to it but include these changes as an option instead of turning the whole game inside out. At least they kept the replays thankfully. 7 out of 10 for me.… Expand

    Thanks for listening Polyphony Digital. The game had always been good, but the economy needed some real work. I see that it has improved immensely. Please keep supporting this game with new single player content!

    The predecessor GT Sport was a fantastic game for the PS4 era. GT7 can’t provide the same package for the PS5 and greatly falls behind. Polyphony Digital has build too much around the game and don’t focus enough on the core game feature which is driving. All the new stuff around driving is unnecessary and almost frustrating. Probably this is a Gran Turismo which Ubisoft would make. I don’tThe predecessor GT Sport was a fantastic game for the PS4 era. I don’t like the car upgrade section at all and how I can adjust settings. I don’t like the coffee store. I don’t like how the campaign is divided into countries. Too much sequences to skip when you would like just driving. The HDR implementation feels less vibrant. The weather conditions has increased but sunny day looks again almost better than all others. The lens shift effect on the sides doesn’t feel as dramatic as in GT Sport. The sharpening of the asphalt near at bottom of the screen has reduced. In GT7 again, I can’t disable the mirror in the carless view, also I can’t change the vertical angle of the camera.

    My biggest concern is the visual fidelity of racing which is almost equal to GT Sport. The raytracing effect isn’t noticeable when driving. The city tracks often looks like playing GT2 on the PS5. At night it doesn’t looks well at all. Weather conditions don’t provide enough visual impact. Just some more trees here and there I have noticed.

    Long story short, the best Gran Turismo experience you can get in 2022 was already provided by GT Sport.

    Appendix to the VR mode:
    The new VR mode is a huge step into the right direction, it is more serious integrated as GT Sport VR mode. But it couldn’t catch me personally. The immersion isn’t just good enough for me. The car interior really shines out, but everything else outside the car isn’t as much detailed. The feel of drive is good but it is so much far away from the immersion when racing in Wipeout VR. The latter offers still the best racing experience on the Playstation VR system, immersive-wisely.    … Expand

    As the 25th anniversary in this long running series I was expecting gt7 to be a great come back for the series. It pains me to say that what this game is lacking not due to reasons such as lack of effort and talent but purely for reasons of greed. On one hand you have a beautiful game that is a joy to play while on the other you are unable to access most of its features when offline.     Overall a great game! I'm still missing some things from the previous releases, but I'm keeping fingers crossed there will be updates giving this game a longer life span.

    Been offline for 30 hours, couldn't play even though I only want to play single player. They urge you to buy microtransactions by nerfing price money. This is not what fans expected. Do not buy and thus support this sh!t.

    The mechanics of the game are fantastic. Driving feels great, hitting the turns right feels very satisfying, and not to mention the graphics being really something to admire on next gen consoles. Unfortunately with the recent update, the game feels VERY grindy to obtain the higher end cars. I was lucky enough to grind for a good amount of money pre-update to get the majority of the cars IThe mechanics of the game are fantastic.     There are still some glitches even after the 1.08 update and for the next I did not read anything about fixing some of them. For example:

    The greed has entered GT series, and its nasty.
    Penalty system is still aweful, can't wrap my head around all the years of trial and error in GT sport didn't lead to anything bytter then this. Its actually GT sport sold twice, same cars and tracks, not much new. GG

    Rewards + micro transactions suck. I bought this game to relax from my daily real life grind, not to gain another grind for credits in order to be able to use cars in a game I already paid for. Fix it Polyphony/Sony or I’ll take an L and never play nor buy any more of your games again!

    After 1.11 update they fixed the game economy and the mtx became useless. Although this should have been the case from the start but at least they heard the players. The only issue now is the ALWAYS ONLINE.

    I bought the game but it's still in the case. This micro transaction is a shame and devs must be punished to make you pay for cars when you already bought a game, even after this last update. In the same time, I'm playing elden ring Wich is so big and without all this bull$hitt. I'm a big Sony fan but this is not ok.

    I played an enormous amount of Gran Turismo Sport, and I was excited for a "full GT experience" with a full numbered entry in the series. This was probably my most anticipated PS5 game from the moment it was announced.

    I was incredibly disappointed. There is no iteration on the Sport mode, so I had no real reason to get the new game. There is some enjoyment to be found in the    I played an enormous amount of Gran Turismo Sport, and I was excited for a "full GT experience" with a full numbered entry in the series. This was probably my most anticipated PS5 game from the moment it was announced.

    I was incredibly disappointed. There is no iteration on the Sport mode, so I had no real reason to get the new game. There is some enjoyment to be found in the licensing exams, but that's fleeting.

    The microtransactions are out of control in this game. The progression is slow. I bought a higher edition and got in game currency and ran out quickly. I cannot use the cars that I want to use without grinding or paying money. Some grinding would be ok, but not this much. Not even half this much.

    I got maybe 8 hours of enjoyment out of this game before the issues with it ruined my experience.

    It gets 2 points for that short period of time, but I can't justify any more.    … Expand

    GT sport was awful this is the best gt has released in awhile so I recommend it ignore the negative comments please as Sony lifted this game from russia do to what they are doing to Ukraine. This brought back progression and I'm super proud it did. It can be grindy but that's only if you wanna buy every car just focus on what you want not everything and there's customization again so WOOOT!

    This is one of those rarest games that I find most fun in Gran Turismo 7 since Gran Turismo 3. It's a shame that we're required to connect to the internet if we want the complete definitive GT experience in terms of microtransactions. Overall, Gran Turismo 7 is a beautiful giant leap and a bigger improvement than GT Sport by far despite that ugly flaw that I found quite baffling.

I always have mixed feelings with Sony's AAA offerings, which seems to focus on providing a cinematic experience more than anything else. This time around they brought realism by using their cutting edge graphics and technology. This is not an arcade racer, it's a driving simulator. I commute to work 4 hours a day on average; GT cars behave like the way they did in real life, with its corresponding physics. You just can't 'drift' automatically like in Ridge Racer...you have to do it in a world with 'real world physics'. The car collection is great and its focus on the history of the companies behind them are exemplary. My biggest gripe about this game: it's a game aimed at middle aged 'customers' like myself and it has that certain sensibilities in its presentations and music. In summary, one of the best PS4 games out there. If you have a PS5, this may be a great showcase for your system.… Expand

    Excellent experience for anyone remotely interested in photography and cars alike. Not for casual racers btw, if you want to jump off cliffs and smash boards, forza horizon 5 should be your first choice.

If you like racing games or simply enjoy cars there’s so much to draw you in. It’s not a perfect driving game but it does encourage you to drive a perfect race & over time confidence builds & you just enjoy it all the more. A solid 9 out of 10 from me.… Expand

    Gran turismo 7 is a great game. It brings me back to the greatestnes of a full fledged numbered GT7, that we had with the likes 9f GT7. The new gameplay physics are also a nice improvement.

    Nada más ver esa estupenda intro, uno ya sabe el amor que destila este juego con el mundo del motor. Gráficamente cumple muy bien, la banda sonora acompaña genial y el control se coge rápido. Me gusta mucho los retos del modo café y sacarme las licencias.

    Gracias GT por volver a tu fórmula de toda la vida.

    Es un excelente juego de carreras, para los que le encanta el mundo de los autos pero que se les hacen muy pesados los simuladores este es su juego,el mejor Gran Turismo de todos, le pondría 9 pero lo doy 10 para compensar todos esos ceros injustificados.

    This game brings back the original essence of Gran Turismo. Incredible story mode, hundreds of cars, multitudes de events, greats graphics... It isn´t a strict cars simulator what makes it very balanced in terms of gameplay, with the better experience of dual sence since astro play room.

    Another masterpiece by Playstation studios, this time Polyphony Digital, has raised the bar for customization and single-player career mode in racing games, not to mention the amazing multiplayer brought from GT Sport. Must buy for PS users.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
