    the driving, the rumble with the DualSense, the 3D sound and so on is very nice.

    and so bad ist only online and with update 1.08 is this with the Cr. soooooooo bad and not more funny. most races you become now the half Cr. this makes me angry. and in the game you must pay for race tire slick (4 tire) 20000 Cr. this is way to much and in real life you must pay for 4 race tire slick    the driving, the rumble with the DualSense, the 3D sound and so on is very nice.

I have paid for PS Plus right from the beginning and have watched Sony under Jim Ryan try his best to emulate Don Mattrick at the Xbox One Launch. If Playstation keeps up this behaviour I will only play a rare exsclusive again on PS5 strictly on a case by case basis. Maybe the newThe level of greed on display here is outrageous.     This is really awful after they raise the price of car in the latest patch...The classic two steps forward one step back maneuver, followed by a sneaky half step forward now that the backlash has died down in an attempt to see how much they can push and get away with.

    With the new 1.9 update coming it take with one hand and gives back less with the other hand. endurance races are going to be in mission's, win it one's and you are going to get credit do it again and you won't get any credit, its a one time payout. And putting the credit up 100% on average will not put it back to what some of the events was at original.     People mostly are acting all 'outraged' by the 'pay to win' 6-year-olds playing Roblox type transactions.. the brilliant Sony executives seem to think is a great idea. But it goes way deeper than that, we waited a very long time for this, us 'average run of the mill' die-hard GT tragics.     I have decided I will just delete this game and consider the money spent to purchase the game a complete loss. I will never purchase another GT game that has a live service component to it. The current state of GT7 with the live service features and how the devs have increased the prices of all vehicles so they are hardly able to purchase and decreased the rewards for races is outrageous.I have decided I will just delete this game and consider the money spent to purchase the game a complete loss.     Unfortunately I have to deduct points on the always online ‘feature’ and the game’s economics. The average player can kiss-bye ever earning some of the legendary cars unless they invest IRL. Sport mode is incredibly shallow, with minimum financial gain and lacklustre competitiveness it feels extremely unrewarding. The typical online match consists of waiting 15 minutes in a menu (literally a 15 minute fixed counter on the screen) for the race to even start, all to begin and finish in the similar position after a further 15-20 minute and earn 7000 credits (desirable cars will be in the millions)… I even came first one time and was so excited to see a grand payout after how remarkably hard that feat was and got no more than 10,000 credits. Utterly pointless.

    Fantastic single player experience that could’ve been boosted further if the economics were finer tuned. Online, as with most games, feels like a poor obligatory bolt-on.    … Expand

    This is the first game I have hated so much that I turned against and took it for trade in within hours. The online switching is a frustrating mess. It loses your progress. The 10 minute intro is unskippable! After watching it for the second time only to find the game lost your damn progress is absolute trash.

I feel like they had to go out of their way to make this game such a disaster. I will probably never come back to this series if they are gonna be so **** now. I can just go play the old ones that were awesome.

    Sony needs to get this in check or they are going to stain their brand because this one of the big PS IPs. To mess it up so bad is not a good sign.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am a player of the first hour and have spent many many hours in the GT world. Of course, the graphics have improved, the cars feel more realistic, but this is mainly due to Fanatec. But that's already the end of the positive part for me. The opponents just shoot you in the rear! In one race, I was lying in 1st place on the last lap in the rain and was simply rammed from behind and I lost the race. That can happen, but if it happens regularly, you have to say. What the hell have you developed for an AI? It can't be that the AI has the task to shoot me out all the time!!! Also the pit stop times are completely surreal. I need three times as long as the AI. What is that?! I don't even want to start with the far too few menu books and the associated far too short career section. Just as little as the online compulsion. The worst thing for me, besides the stupid AI, is the support. There is only the possibility to contact the general Sony support and they forward it. What kind of support is that if you can't even reach Polyphony itself and criticize directly....

    All in all this is for me not only the worst gaming experience in the GT world but also the worst game I have ever played. I find reassuring only that I do not seem to be alone when I read the reviews so.    … Expand

    Game is a joke. They literally ruined a great game. There's races in the game that require you to use certain cars. Problem is you can only purchase these cars through "legend cars" and the issue is there's over 100 cars in legend cars but they only show about 10 cars at a time. And take about 7 days to rotate. I've been waiting over 2 and a half months for these 4 cars I'm looking for soGame is a joke. They literally ruined a great game. There's races in the game that require you to use certain cars.     Stunning & beautiful! Sadly thats where it ends. As the old outdated HUD adds nothing new. Fuel saving races are a pain as you have to choose to use radar or your fuel map. As a game that promotes good sportsmanship I don’t know why they choose to not provide you with a radar at all times. A ton of hidden on track info that the user doesn’t get to know. Nothing to gain multiplayer lobby’s still struggle to stay stable and the longer a lobby is up the worse it gets. No lobby handoffs and if a host leaves the whole lobby shuts down. Balance of Performance (BOP) is anything butgr1 & gr4 are horrid. We never get the bragged on dynamic weather in daily races. So if you wanted to race with friends or a big tuning player or just want a equal playing field to measure yourself against other drivers this IS NOT the game for you. That’s not even counting the multiple cars that are around $190 if you don’t want to grind for weeks & weeks on the same 3 races. There are soo many more problems I could get into with the lack of road car rally races, horrible single player campaign, and biases that are way to obvious. I had about 15 more problems I wanted to touch on but this should underline the biggest issues of the game. $20 or less grab it. I wouldn’t pay a cent more for this game.… Expand

    Although this game looks good, almost as good as Forza Horizon 5 to be fair it is really boring to play. GT7 is more similar in gameplay to Forza Motorsport than it is Horzon. Unfortunately GT7 does not have the detailed simulation side of FM7 or the open world fun of FH5 so this ends up as the worse of both worlds. If you don't have an Xbox or PC then this is the best driving gameAlthough this game looks good, almost as good as Forza Horizon 5 to be fair it is really boring to play. GT7 is more similar in gameplay to Forza Motorsport than it is Horzon.     requires online connection to play single player. kicked me out of a single player tournament that i had invested 30 minutes into because of "server maintenance" this is ridiculous, i feel like i dont even own the game. regret spending 75 bucks , plenty of other racing games i could have bought instead.

    Je regrette mon achat. Les graphismes sont PRESQUE équivalent à Grand turismo sport sur PS4 pro. Les achats de voitures ont bondi! Sur les licences solo narrative Sony sont les meilleurs. Par contre sur jeux de voiture (Forza motorsport): la concurrence les exploses!

    Well, 80€ for a GT Sports copy with some basic fuctions. Short Soloplayer campaing, poor physicks. Thats not a real drive sim. If you guyd didnt buy it already, wait for a discount.

    And there aren’t nearly enough ways to make any money of consequence.

    Forza is so loose and liberal with its gifts. Immediate, frequent, varied. How does Gran Turismo watch 5 iterations of Forza Horizon and think this product is okay. I feel like I’m scrounging under my couch to find enough loose change to purchase a pack of Oscar Meyer wieners. No one cared about sport. GT3-Spec was underwhelming. Whatever good will you once had with the community has been lost. Shame, shame, on your house. I wanted so bad to be loyal to you, because you came first after all. But you have forced my hand.     1- Few brand new cars to the series and tracks compared to GT Sport, we need more like: Porsche 918, Jag XJ220, EB110 SS, Mclaren P1, 720S, SF90 Stradale, 812 Superfast, Koenigsegg Agera, Chiron SS, Venon F5, Saleen S7 TT, Maserati MC12, Porsche 959, Cizeta V16T, Ruf CTR2, New V8 Vantage, New M3, New RS4 Avant, New C63 AMG Sedan, etc...

    2- Ai "Sophy" system it's totally Hardcore and unbalanced on the Gr.Series campaing events, they must turn down the Ai difficulty level -25% at least

    3- Making in game cash (credits) it´s a true grind, we need more cash gains and rewards to make the cars more obtainable as well the performance mods (without PAYING REAL EXTRA MONEY)

    4- Make us able to sell our cars again like in every other GT game

    5- Performance mods are too weak to the point that feels unrealistic, i know some cars in game that can produce with the same mods a lot more power in real life, like the classic VW Beetle, in real life i know there is shops that can make it with +300hps tuned to the max with a big turbo, but in game it´s about 100hps tuned to the max even turbocharged, we need a lot more HPs on this performance mods for all cars

    After first patch 1.0.6 One week after release i cant resume my caffee missions becase the game always crashing when i finish a race ...

    After patch 1.0.7 Two weeks after release the servers are down days and can still not play the game.

    Also really pay to win or massive grinding game

    EDIT: now with 1.11 Patch all my problems are fixed and can enjoy the game
    Rewards are much higher now

    Go buy GT Sport, the cars only cost $5 in that game. This is an obscene mockery of a franchise that has been near and dear to my heart since I was a child. It's a good game at the core, but I can't in good heart recommend it. The microtransactions' predatory nature makes it a overall miserable experience.

    Seriously how long does it take for a company to go "OK this is all wrong. Let's just fix it." and do one big update rather than drip feeding utter nonsense every three months. Its online only, so racing offline isn't a thing, that includes ai. The ai cars are made of concrete (I though t this stopped in 2005) so knocking any form of ai car generally means high speed ramming, which by the way you always inevitably come off worse from, even in light contact situations.
    The list of issues with this game are inexhaustive, I could literally write an essay and this is now 1 whole year on from my original review.

    Its really annoying seeing people stick up for it saying things like it's improving and giving it 8 ratings. A year ago I bought this game and it's still just getting to a point its playable.
    Dont get me started on the cafe and all the "people" I have to "talk" to because the designer couldn't handle the fact that it's just a game, so half the time I'm reading what some cretinous idiot thinks I should know and I can't just turn that option off.     The ticket/lottery system is also a joke. You'll esrn tickets for certain accomplishment in game, rated 1-5 stars. Don't get excited when you see the potential prizes though because the "spin" will almost always land on the smallest prize, usually a nominal amount of in game currency.

    Once career mode is over there is very little to do besides grind through races you've played dozens of times and buy new cars. There is always one type of vehicle and setup which will be better than others at a particular race and, once you find it, there is little incentive to change cars. The only reason I still play is because I'm trying to justify the $100 I spent to buy it.

When I heard that Gran Turismo 7 would be like the previous entries, I was excited. But man is this game anti-consumer.

    The races are unforgiving, one mistake and you can kiss first place goodbye unless you're an expert.

    The credit payouts are stingy, forcing you to grind for hours to but the car you want.

    The "rewards" give you one of five options to recieve, except the fact that all 20 rewards I've gotten have been the worst of the 5 rewards, and not once being a car.

    The Legend and Used Car dealers rotating inventories exploit FOMO (fear of missing out) because you only have a couple days you get that Testarossa before it's gone!

    But the worst part is the "micro" transactions.

    With cars costing up to 20 million credits, and 2 million credits costing $20, Polyphony Digital really expects it's players to pay $200 to get these cars. In conclusion, I've never played a racing game that has been so stingy and manipulative that it felt like the game hated me as a player. I will not be playing any longer and I will be very pessimistic about future Polyphony Digital titles.    … Expand

Always online connection - game is basically bricked when the servers go down and they've gone down several times, often days at a time. Window dressing the game with historical tid bits cannot conceal how **** and empty this game is.

    For the lovers Gran Turismo saga like me, you cannot allow that this ps5 game seems to be from two generations ago, the sensation of speed is null, it is like competing against grandmothers going shopping, the collisions are embarrassing , you don't notice any care in the game modes, the menus... nothing, online connection forced, it's a disaster...

Price of the game is worth it due to the sheer amount of content thats packed in but compared to the ps2 and 1 era classics, Gran Turismo has fell from grace as the ultimate simcade racer.     Я очень разочаровался в японцах, вы хотели пробудить ненависть во мне, но у вас не получилось. Я даже мог бы понять, если б моя страна была не права, но это не так. Так поступать, не разобравшись в ситуации, это очень глупо. От кого, но от вас я точно не ожидал. От людей, которые подарили нам философские знания из аниме Наруто, что надо на ситуацию смотреть с каждой стороны.

    Либо если вы обдуманно решили поддержать фашизм, как вы это делали в 1945, то ничего удивительного. Но вы должны знать, что добро всегда побеждает зло.

    I've played GT7 for over 5 hours and suspect half of that has been in the menus. The gameplay is great but it's so infuriating bouncing around different menus to get the right car ready for a race to unlock the next track. GT7 feels incredibly dated compared to Forza Horizon now.

After 60 hours of playing the game you will realize that all the races are rolling start where start at the back of the pack, where your goal is to pass all the bots before you run out of laps. There is no real racing in the campaign. Additionally, acquiring cars is tedious and grindy which is not fun, especially when online sport races requireI am going to be honest with my review.     Отличий от GT Sport минимум. Даже тот же самый интерфейс остался, те же старые трассы. Интеллект соперника не блещет.     The game disappointed me, especially the graphics, I wish this was a PS5 next-gen exclusive.. Plus microtransactions are unnaceptable.

    I've always been a fan of the GT series. I even worked on a racing game influenced by it. I've bought every title up until GT Sport, where they introduced microtransactions.

    Now in GT7, they've made the MTX 10x more expensive, the in-game currency harder to earn, AND the game requires a connection to run, which means that they can shut down the servers in a few years, as Japanese game    I've always been a fan of the GT series. I even worked on a racing game influenced by it. I've bought every title up until GT Sport, where they introduced microtransactions.

    Now in GT7, they've made the MTX 10x more expensive, the in-game currency harder to earn, AND the game requires a connection to run, which means that they can shut down the servers in a few years, as Japanese game companies love to do, and you'll never be able to play it again, because they want you to buy GT8 and GT9 and so on, EA-Sports-style.

    Oh, and of course, also in EA style, they disabled the MTX until AFTER the reviews went out. So you see something like 90% from the "journalists".

    No. Just, NO.

    On top of that, it looks like the shaders were designed by someone who hasn't worked in graphics since PS3 days. Sure, the resolution and draw distance are great, but the cars all look like plastic, the foliage and grass don't look remotely real, and it all just looks... super fake.

    I payed 80€ for this. I thought gt sport was bad day one. Oh boy was I wrong. This is a good driving game hindered by blatant micro transactions lack of content and false promises. Mr kazunori. You are better off drawing those hideous hot wheels wannabe cars (Vgt)than designing games.

    Que juego tan pero tan malo, se suponía que era el juego de los súper gráficos y no es una reverenda desecadas. La jugabilidad es como tener un ladrillo con ruedas y los micropagos son una pena. En serio Metacritic le diste un 88? No sean descarados no le roben a la gente.

    This game is so realistic. The microtransactions are just like owning a car in real life. Over priced and outdated before you know it. Microtransactions SHOULD NOT be in a full priced game.

    Converted my $1k Fanatec setup to a $50 setup via an update. Good job guys! Imbeciles. Need to add coop racing vs AI. Update the prize system. Roulette sucks. Make it a dice roll system. Make it easier to report people who’s only goal is to ruin races.

People who are claiming to have won 12 cars and 3 engines etc are payed shills from places like soar.sh

People complaining about microtransactions, just wait until you have people selling meta-tunes for $5-10 for the dailies. The game is so far up its own you know what it's almost pitiful.

    Last night the game went down for three hours for server maintenance, guess what, you can't do ANYTHING in the game when it's not online. Not a single, solitary thing, just a "Sorry for your luck" message from Polyphony.

    Edit: The fact that the MTX's are a thing isn't even the worst part, there's just nothing to do, and this is coming from someone who loved GTSport. It's just the same missions over and over, no diamond/ruby/emerald ranking, all the good circuits not included, it's just bunk. I'd honestly just have preferred a GTS remaster for PS5 and push GT7 until at least the console shortage is resolved. No reason to force this out now. Also, SNAP OVERSTEER SUCKS.    … Expand

    Looks beautiful but the menus, constant menus, button pressing slow the game down to a crawl. Racing also feels a bit dull. If you not a racing sim fan than this isn’t for you. Also $40 extra for a single car = no thanks.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
