    What could be a game to have fun driving several cars on famous tracks has been turned into a tedious task of playing several hours to get just one car, pushing the financial side to the detriment of fun.

    Awesome game, great graphics, pretty accurate physics. Great selection of cars, impressive circuits, basic but very interesting "story" mode (I do enjoy the "museum" felling).
    BUUUT you can't actually play because the SERVERS ARE DOWN AND THIS LOCKS YOU OUT OF THE SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAING. AWFUL!
    PLUS, latest patch shove down some pretty agressive microtransaction strategy, basically    Awesome game, great graphics, pretty accurate physics. Great selection of cars, impressive circuits, basic but very interesting "story" mode (I do enjoy the "museum" felling).
    BUUUT you can't actually play because the SERVERS ARE DOWN AND THIS LOCKS YOU OUT OF THE SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAING. AWFUL!

    PLUS, latest patch shove down some pretty agressive microtransaction strategy, basically lowering the prize money you get from the races, to make you spend real money.

    Edit: The devs listened to the players. It appears they will be implementing some great changes in the next month, like double rewards, be able to sell cars, bigger wallet for in-game earns, and 1 mil to everybody affected by the server outage. That's why I'm changing the rating from zero to 7. If all of the updates truly are what they seem, I'll be back to give a 10.    … Expand

Amazing physics controls tracks and all totally ruined for micro transactions. Listen to the community and this can be fixed, underneath your money hunger lies a splendid game but only if fixed.

    After I played through the “campaign” doing all licenses and missions I have a very good time with a slightly bad aftertaste of MTX. Now that I read news of nerfing sellouts at good grinding tracks I’ll have to tweak my rating down to 6. Thank u polyphony for showing me that ABBA was right.

    Je viens de jouer plus de 40 heures depuis la sortie de ce jeu et le constat reste le même : GT7 est l’énième opus d’une ancienne gloire du passé qui peine à se réinventer et qui n’égale plus Forza motorsport depuis longtemps ! - toujours pas de déformation de carrosserie - toujours pas de défaillance moteur en    GT7 n’est pas le messie annoncé !

    Je viens de jouer plus de 40 heures depuis la sortie de ce jeu et le constat reste le même :
    GT7 est l’énième opus d’une ancienne gloire du passé qui peine à se réinventer et qui n’égale plus Forza motorsport depuis longtemps !
    - toujours pas de déformation de carrosserie - toujours pas de défaillance moteur en cas de dépassement intempestif du rupteur - les voitures restent scotchées à la route sur le sec, même en retirant les aides à la conduite - elle est où la soit disante IA miracle GT Sophy ? Aux abonnés absents (encore un mensonge de Sony), résultat on se farcit encore des IA débiles qui se suivent à la queue leuleu - sous la pluie c’est l’inverse on décroche beaucoup trop, c’est du n’importe quoi !
    - connexion obligatoire pour du solo, aujourd’hui MAJ 1.07 qui foire : serveurs down depuis ce matin 9h… il est 19h !!! Quel foutage de gueu*e. Ça ça n’arrive pas chez Forza et Microsoft !!!
    - courses nerfees pour qu’on achète des crédits avec son porte monnaie : Sony for the payeurs plus que jamais !

    Bref GT7 est à nouveau un jeu arcade pour casual gamers conducteurs du dimanche et collectionneurs de voitures majorettes !
    Pour les vrais amoureux des circuits et du gameplay : Go jouer à Forza motorsport 7 en attendant le 8 qui va encore enterrer GT7 sur metacritic !
    Graphiquement c’est juste un GT Sport PS4 légèrement amélioré !
    Même Grid legends fait mieux en terme d’IA avec ses nemesis !
    Ce jeu n’est plus que la pâle ombre de ce qu’il fut jadis : une référence. Aujourd’hui c’est l’objet de critiques et de railleries bien méritées !
    Je mets 8 /20 objectivement même s’il aurait plutôt mérité 7/20, juste par respect pour ce qu’il a été !    … Expand

    Encore une preuve que le jeux et basé sur l'argent , ont n'en parle des tiquets de roulette , j'ai fini le mode café , j'ai gagné que voiture 1 tesla et le tiquet de fin 500.000cr , le reste que des 2.000 ou des vilebrequin et qu'elle que 10.000cr .

    Ensuite les voitures qui sont impossible a vendre , alors que quand ont veux une voiture qui nous plait ont l'achète au magasin d'occasion et puis si ont la gagne par la suite ont peut pas la vendre .

    Bref les Microtransaction ont ruiné le jeux , j'ai mis le jeux de coté , je reviendrais quand une mise a jour correct sera en place .

    Credit Rewards should be increased instead they lowered it to make us invest in microtransaction which is unacceptable

    I will give this game 10/10 when they raise the Credit Rewards . beside that everything is good

    The always online aspect is not as bad as other people say(when the servers are up).... but there are other problems with the game. First of all earning credit in this game is incredibly slow, but the worst thing about is that you can spend real money to get credit and it is incredibly overpriced. 20euro for 2million credit. 2mill credit is next to nothing given the game is really pushingThe always online aspect is not as bad as other people say(when the servers are up).... but there are other problems with the game. Plus most of the cars have about 200k plus credit worth of modifications to buy.

    Secondly the game offers nothing over GT Sport. The only truly new thing is the lazy and boring gt coffee mode (witch is most of the single player campain). It is just a bunch of 2-3 lap races for cars the you abandon for the rest of the campain. On top of this the AI is horrible. On some tracks they are really slow, on other tracks they are okay. But the worst of them all is that the AI strait out ignores you. Spin you around, squeeze you off the track. The other new thing is the street car tuning with the Performance Point system. It takes the power of the car, the weight and the suspensions characteristics to calculate a number. It does not translate well to actual performance when you drive the car.
    Every other modes ( circulate experience, license test ) are available in GT Sport. Given that there are only 3 new track there is not a lot have been added to GT7.

    Driving the cars at least is good. It is not a simulator, but more complex than a arcade racer. Perfect combination to race online. The driving is the only reason why I'm not rating it lower than 5/10. It is such a shame that the daily races are still update once a week.

    If you loved other GT games GT7 is a fine way to play on a modern system but it has nothing new. If you got bored with GT Sport or you looking for a simulator on the PS5 this isn't the game for you. If they increase credit earned for races, add more tracks and touch up the AI, than the game could be a 8/10.

    GT7 is a an amazing racing game with a terrible economy. The actual gameplay is very fun. Love driving cars on the track in this game. What is not fun is how incredibly bad race payouts for online and custom events are. Race for 25 minutes with tough AI starting at the back of a 20 car grid? 25k base credit reward for 1st. This was especially egregious with the pre-1.07 payouts where comparatively 3.5 minutes at Fisherman's Ranch would get you a 65k base credit reward for 1st. But instead of making custom races more in line with the races that did pay, they have decided to nerf the payouts for those races.

    These decisions seem designed to push microtransactions as hard as possible through FOMO with the limited time purchase invitations and used/legendary car dealerships. It was crappy before to feel like you are wasting your time playing anything other than Fisherman's Ranch to be able to afford these cars in a reasonable amount of time, but at least the earn-able hourly credits were decent. To cut these payouts in half and charge 20 real world earth dollars for 2m credits is a slap in the face to all fans.

    To be clear, microtransactions that are purely cosmetic are one thing. Even Free to Play games have gotten this right. Rocket League/Fortnite prints $$ for Epic, but I never feel that I am not competitive because I didn't spend any money on the game. But a full price AAA game pushing microtransactions for credits, which you need to be able to buy and tune cars that are competitive online, is simply not right. Please fix this game PD. I want to love it, but this microtransactions push is a shady business practice for a full price game.    … Expand

    -Anyone looking to buy the game should first visit r/granturismo in reddit and read the reviews

    -Very limited content even in terms of cars available, most older than 10 years old and you have to wait for them to show up in a used car dealer which only refreshes once in a long while...

    After the recent debacle I returned the game for a full refund.
    I will only re-purchase if the "on-line only" stipulation is removed, which in my opinion will NEVER happen.
    Looks like I’ll have to buy an Xbox to enjoy the only other AAA racing game.

    Day after day things were starting to get worse, there was no way to play offline, split screen with a few preselected cars, 2nd driver in split screen couldn't reach the same speed as 1st driver with the same car.
    Dream cars have unreachable prices, but they were fine because I don't care to collect them all in the first 2 weeks, but now you have managed to let it be more difficult than ever with this latest update, forcing us to pay to win.
    I understand that the "real driving simulator" must simulate the fact that only the rich can afford to race in real cars, but we have bought your games so far to have the chance to dream even without money in our pocket, now you have ruined it , thanks Polyphony Digital.    … Expand

The in-game economy is terrible they give you Pennie’s and want you to pay tens of millions. Game drives very nicely and looks gorgeous.     I have played and been a fan of Gran Turismo since the original game and Gran Turismo 7 has put a stop to that.
    This game and it's latest update makes it impossible to progress without spending more money on an already expensive game with their micro transactions which are no so "MICRO", one update makes the game almost unplayable by fitting the wrong tyres on the cars, they fix this with    I have played and been a fan of Gran Turismo since the original game and Gran Turismo 7 has put a stop to that.
    This game and it's latest update makes it impossible to progress without spending more money on an already expensive game with their micro transactions which are no so "MICRO", one update makes the game almost unplayable by fitting the wrong tyres on the cars, they fix this with the next update that took over a day to work and added insult yo injury by lowering the prize money payout and then introducing micro transactions.
    Basically we the players have just been employed to beta test a game but instead of paying us to do so they are charging us for doing their work,
    As it stands at this moment THIS GAME IS A SCAM.
    There is no point in talking about the game play as most players wont be able to get past the fact that they are being ripped off.    … Expand

    This game ran into the same problems Forza Morotsport 7 ran into, except some of those problems were made 10 times worse, especially the loot boxes and micro-transactions. And don't get me started with the frequent maintenance updates.

    The lead up to the games release was all built on lie and deception. The consumer was lead to believe that this would be the most complete GT to date. Its not even close to the most complete, in fact its the opposite. There is a HUGE lack of single player content.     The content has been stripped from the game pre-release and is being drip fed back into it under the guise of 'new' content. The scum developers also withheld the macrotransactions from review copies and re-activated them after release, this behaviour alone has burned any faith I had in PD. I will never buy another product from them again.

    Its a shame because the driving itself feel really good. Well, it did until they completely f**ked the FFB after update 1.15.

    I give up on this game and PD. 3 months of nothing but the most ridiculously frustrating silence and decision making with regards to this game. If I could refund, I would.    … Expand

    Non è possibile!!! Con la patch 1.5 hanno completamente rovinato il force feedback del TGT2...... adesso è leggerissimo!!! Ho pagato un volante 700 Euro per avere un force feedback di un volante da 50 euro.....
    Qualcuno alla Sony dovrebbe essere licenziato per questo. Adesso Gran Turismo è un gioco per bambini di 6anni!!! Beh, allora io non ci giocherò più.....

    15 years of waiting and this release is only a shadow of the previous version: Gran Turismo 6. The game feels like they took Gran Turismo Sports and made in into GT7 overnight. With the backlash from the community, PD seems now fullly in panic mode: updates and press releases almost every week that patch a few things here and there and break other things.     I’m going to leave the game, will check back in a year or two to see if these points are fixed:

    - Better FFB
    - Ability to sell cars
    - Better custom races
    - Standing starts with practices amd wualifying session (as opposed to always start from last place)
    - Better AI
    - More intuitive UI
    - More customization of UI and FFB

    This game is a shameless money-grab. The driving feels good, but everything else is below par. Online DRM, an absolute rigged lottery ticket system, inability to sell cars, poor graphics, purposeful tediousness to encourage microtransactions. This series is a shell of what it was once.

    Greed is disgusting thing and is this games downfall. You pay 70 dollars just to pay more in micro transactions to buy cars unless you grind your life away and you can't even sell your cars. Real driving simulator more like Real Greed simulator.

    I have beat this entire game with Gold on everything and yet I barely own any cars because of the stupid payout.     Great game ruined by greed. Nerfing the credits rewarded in single player races by less than half is a big middle finger to all your buyers. I wish I can refund it.

    I'll give it a 2 because it's a very slick and fun to play racing game on the surface, and I've personally enjoyed taking a slower pace. I'm not particularly obsessed with pursuing any great goals other than completing my daily "workout", which is a hilarious thing to call it.
    However, it becomes apparent after your first dozen "roulette tickets" that, under the surface you are playing a    I'll give it a 2 because it's a very slick and fun to play racing game on the surface, and I've personally enjoyed taking a slower pace. I'm not particularly obsessed with pursuing any great goals other than completing my daily "workout", which is a hilarious thing to call it.
    However, it becomes apparent after your first dozen "roulette tickets" that, under the surface you are playing a gambling game, and the house and the economy are both stacked against you. After 30 or so roulette tickets, constantly getting the absolute lowest sum possible, you realize that these tickets are a slap in the face, they imply there's one in five spin happening, but really it's rolling a 100-sided die, and unless you roll a perfect 1, you ain't getting squat. You don't have enough time to save enough money to buy the car that you have an invitation for so this can cause FOMO and some people may buy into the extra credits. You can't sell the cars you don't want/ have duplicates of, this is obviously done so that you are again forced into buying the extra credits. People found ways to earn money quite quick by grinding some races, PD quickly patched them races so they're not worth it now. For some unknown reason the game, even when playing single playing is online only so this 1.07 patch that was botched has now not allowed anyone to play any of the single player campaign for nearly a full day as you need connections to the server. The campaign itself is a little Short and it needs to add a few more endurance races (I know you can set up a custom race but it's not the same). In my opinion I feel as though PD have basically joined the rest of gaming industry with their greed and money first over customers. Like I said the core mechanics that the game developers have worked on are great, the physics feel good and the weather is amazing. It's the bolt ons that they have been done to monitized this game that have killed it.… Expand

    - The economy is deliberately fudged so they can sell microtransactions.
    - Race rewards are poor. There are too many expensive cars and tuning parts.
    - Patch updates have nerfed race rewards and even tripled car prices.
    - You cannot test drive cars at the dealership (or sell cars you own).

    Restrictions:
    - Performance points (PP) restrictions are absolutely frustrating.
    - Races have restrictions but patch updates keep changing car PP numbers.
    - You enter a race one day, and then next update; your car is not eligible.
    - Your time and money is wasted. Too often you will be down-tuning your cars.

    Licences & pre-race:
    - It is cumbersome to look for cars (no search, just big lists to scroll).

    Racing experience:
    - Game is heavily optimised for racing wheels (controller is less precise).
    - Too many rolling starts (leading cars are half a lap ahead on short tracks).
    - The driving speed feels good but the mph/kmh numbers seem exaggerated.
    - A.I. are generally on a fixed path and often end up driving into you.

    Penalties & damage:
    - Events with penalties suck. Hit a wall by accident? get penalized twice.
    - Events with car damage suck. Scratch a wall and the car drives all wonky.
    - After around 30 seconds the car magically recovers from any incident.
    - No car body damage, only scratches that just disappear after a race.

    Weather & Tracks:
    - Terrible rain effect on all cars, it is as slippery as black ice.
    - Hard tires lose all grip after like 5-8 laps, it is beyond unrealistic.
    - Rally races are awful, cars float and launch into the air comically.
    - Lack of track variety. There are no winter/snow or city tracks.

    Prizes & RNG:
    - To motivate racing daily, there is a roulette wheel prize. It is rigged.
    - All prizes are pre-selected - the spinning animation is just for show.
    - The best car parts are locked behind RNG (can't be bought at tuning shop).
    - You need to win a 'invite' to be able to buy some cars at the dealership.

Like you're in a 20 laps race, last lap, Internet fails for a second, race stops and you have to do your 20 laps all over again — hoping that internet will not fail this time.
    That's absolutely outrageous that you can't play a 100€ solo game without being connected to these non-working servers or if you have a quite cheap wifi. I hope they will fix that, if not I won't be able to trust PlayStation studios anymore.    … Expand

Too few "nice vehicles" considering what Forza offers then Gran Turismo is a joke. It lacks the excitement and desire to play. After a few days I don't feel like playing anymore... And what's really bad,I've been waiting for this game for so many years and I've been disappointed in so many ways. And, I agree, making it available is fine. But that's NOT the problem. PD is already reducing race payouts to increase the grind, and push microtransactions even more. This is bad for everyone. EVEN those that pay for credits. Instead of buying credits maybe a couple times while playing through, and winning credits along the way, you'll win FAR less now than you would have in previous updates, and might end up shelling out even more money on microtransactions. And, for those who aren't going to pay for credits, they're now forced to grind more than in ANY other GT game. And that's, again, only if they can play at all...    … Expand

    Game is very beautiful. Why can we not play a single player game offline? Why are the payouts so low? Why did the maintenance patch break the game. Why did you nerf payouts? Why make the roulette trash odds? Why hide the best cars under a invite system? Why do legendary cars cost so much? Why is the cafe just okay give us a proper career will ya. Why can’t we sell cars? Why spend 80 dollars on a game that feels more like a beta than a finished product? You buy a 50k car to put over 75k more money into it to win races and guy what? When you get your payout. You have to keep going back and forth between the race and upgrading. You guys need to go back to the drawing board with this because this is not Gran Turismo 7 this is a shell of its former self greed has taken over this company. Will be the last Gran Turismo me and a lot of other people buy but there is still time to redeem yourselves act like you care and make Single-player playable offline at least. That would be a great start. This zero is justified case closed. Forza 8 will be better than this dumpster fire.    … Expand

    They have fixed the grind a bit, now you can make ~800k in 30 minutes, so the situation is bit better. New cars have been added. Still, it feels like the game is still missing a lot of content, like music and campaign other than cafe menus. It is still always online.     It is not the game you fell in love with (Gran Turismo 1-6), instead they decided to make an always online game with micro-transactions. They still charge the premium price for it however.
    To make the matters worse, they decided in the 1.07 patch to cut the rewards of the races, so people would either have to grind hours and hours for a 20 mil car, or buy it with a very expensive (200$) microtransaction.    … Expand

    Server down 24 hours and no significant update from dev. Speechless. No word to express my disappointment. If they still continue this weird always-online-for-career-mode style after this catastrophic failure, then they’re too dumb to take any lesson from this

    Pre-ordered from launch so had a good amount of time with the game. As far as the gameplay, customisation, car selection and modes go the game is brilliant. Unfortunately the game requires always online connection which means you can’t play even single player without server access.     A 8/10 on release, but shortly after securing their bags they scam the costumers with reduced prices money into buying credits via micro transactions. If this wasn't bad enough, the game is offline for over a day now, because they've an issue with that "update". The game is not playable for like 22 hours as the time of writing this review.

    Steaming pile of feces. First they hid the microtransactions until release date so they would get better review scores, then 2 weeks later they drop the payout from races to push players toward buying their microtransactions. Can't sell unwanted cars either, for obvious reasons.

    I cannot play in single player mode because your servers are down. It's already the second day. It's ridiculous. Also, in-game micropayments for which I paid a lot of money are not okay. The last part I bought :(

    I like Playstation-Games but players seems to forget that Sony always mtx their games with **** like The Last of Us or Uncharted, always need a extra part like the PS Vita Memory Card and they even created the Online Pass in a line with Ubisoft back then.     Money absorber game, if you get your money without any efforts, this will be the right place to spent your money.
    Also, GT7 is GTSport Directory's cut, nothing new, many dialogs, long trailers in the begening, and poor gameplay

Now, we see developers designing gameplay loops around mtx in a way that creates obstacles to enjoyment (usually through unreasonable time sinks) for non-mtx players. For any game this is unacceptable, for aMicrotransactions are killing the game industry. For any game this is unacceptable, for a $70 AAA game that's a Sony flagship it is difficult to comprehend. I waited a while to post this in hopes that PD would say or do something but their deafening silence says it all. They do not care about us, only money.

    Just to note my commitment before this games release - I bought the Fanatec GT DD wheel ($750) and a Next Level Racing F-GT cockpit ($650) to finally make the sim rig I've always wanted. Thankfully it won't gather dust as there are plenty of capable simulators on PC - however, I primarily purchased the items for GT7.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
