    Can't play this $70 game for more than a day, and it comes back as a worse game with no compensation for down time.

    Million credit compensation for down time and the promise of updates to address issues that have been raised by players upping review to 3. I will increase it if they deliver.     Primer GT que juego y esta siendo una decepcion! Gráficamente no me parece un escandalo, físicas meh, encima le añades una conexión PERMANENTE(que sin esa conexión y si los serv estan caídos estas jodio), mantenimiento durante 2 dias, micropagos...una "pseudocampaña" corta

    Instead, it is a car ownership simulator.
    The credit system needs to be addressed! I've played several GT versions, and the credit system is way too stingy.

    The game was down for over 24 hours. No updates were given during that time, and on top of that they slashed the credits earned during most races to push their MTX (i.e. buy their credits with your real money).

Patch 1.08 continues the broken game economy with a major reduction to prize money given.     Greedy mtx.. Why pay real money for the opportunity just to be able to enjoy the base part of the game? People pay money to enjoy the base game, period. The payout/reward rate is intentionally far too low and people aren't stupid. I hope this hurts game sells even more than they're making through mtx, as well as the companies image.

Since yesterday it all went to crap, 25 years in the making, all gone in an hour because Sony and Polyphony sees this game as a cash cow, with atrocious micro transactions, cars litterally costing up to $140USD real life money (yes, you read that right), the game being unavailable for 33 hours even though it's been out for two weeks. The game is now a big fat joke, it's supposed to be a fun and competitive racing game, but now you have to take it as a job just to get the cars you want. I'll give you an example, one of the fastest ways to make money in the game is playing a single race over and over, it takes 5 minutes to complete and gives you a 60k payout (thanks to latest patch), this is roughly 700k per hour, some  cars are valued at 14M in game cash, so 20 hours of pure farm. For a single car. Doesn't sound fun right? "But what if you play the game without farming, you'll get it someday..." I have played this game for over 60 hours, and earned $6.3M, am I supposed to play for another 100 hours FOR A SINGLE CAR? It also brings out a bigger problem in gaming: Do you really own the games you buy?
    Due to server maintenance (which in a normal world would cause only the multiplayer component of the game) the whole game was unavailable for 33 hours. A day and a half where you just couldn't play the game whatsoever. Who at Polyphony thought this was a good idea to make the game always online, this caused a major game outage in 2 weeks. Seriously, I enjoyed playing this game, it plays and feels nice, but everything around it is plain terrible. From a GT fan: Either don't buy this game, or wait for a complete overhaul of the economy system. Me and lots of other won't play before this happens. It's your call now, Polyphony.

    PD destroyed the game. Microtransactions and lowering the race rewards killed all the fun and turned the game into a grindfest. Don't buy it. If you did- request a refund.

Radio silence and always online connections prevented me from even continuing my campaign offline as God forbid I wanted to race a track more than once to earn credits for my new car. What is the point in selling a game that I have PAID FOR and preventing me from even playing it! Don't buy this **** show and stand against these microtransaction money grabs. I've heard rumors now that certain cars may cost as much as $40usd per dlc...I hope this is just that...a rumor.… Expand

    Better than gt sport but still just as bad. Forza motorsport 7 is still a better racing simulation game, and they shut down the servers for that game too. Reward system is crap! Your're almost guaranteed to get the worst prize from the gift cards. Hopefully they do better with the game in the future and listen to the people.

    I'm giving this game a 1 based on the fact that PD has resorted to implementing predatory micro transactions in to the game. They literally make it an overly tedious grind in order to incentivise the player to purchase in game currency. What a scum bag move. Sony and PD should be ashamed but you know they're not.

A full price game should NEVER have its content locked behind paywalls (40eur for a car that used to cost 2,99 in GT Sport???) while at the same timeSony and Polyphony Digital ruined the legacy of a 25 years game by trying to dethrone EA with its historical terrible micro transactions practices on Battlefront2 (that even EA had the common sense to remove from the game years ago). A full price game should NEVER have its content locked behind paywalls (40eur for a car that used to cost 2,99 in GT Sport???) while at the same time providing ridiculous low rewards for playing it (a typical technique to force players into micro transactions with real money). Not to mention the game can be incredibly boring at some times: for example the music rally is something really ridiculous that they force down any player throat before they can do anything with the game; Some of the challenges are the most boring I ever was faced with such as stupid races with the slowest possible cars like fiat500 on uphills, the fuel saving one where we are supposed to spend minutes driving as slow as possible to make the most number of kms, etc. The GT Sport online multiplayer legacy that attracted so many players due to its competitiveness, fairness and ease of use with its non existing tuning and mostly BOP regulated races has been totally lost in GT7, now races are all tuneable and exploitable both with tuning and meta cars (that are obviously bought usually with micro transactions). I truly regret pre ordering Gran Turismo, if possible I would just request a refund and would not touch it ever again until some serious changes had been done and price went down dramatically (Sorry PD but you lost my good faith where you deserved launch price for pre order game).
    Last but not least, it was really sleazy from PD and Sony to hide the micro transaction from all initial reviewers and only enable them for the public release, this was clear review manipulation that should not be allowed in this industry    … Expand

    This series was one of the reasons I always bought PlayStation consoles, I was a huge fan of this series but not letting you sell the cars you earn for money is just awful!! Then to nerf money making races after a couple weeks into the game terrible!! I was so excited for this game but honestly if I want to play a racing game I might as well go back to gt5. Without any reasonable way to make money collecting and experiencing different cars is just to daunting of a task, which is a shame because that was always a highlight of the series. Unless something is done to right this sinking ship this should be the end of the series and this game hopefully forgotten from history because of the enormous double black eyes on this otherwise excellent series that inspired so many others, you used to not be able to talk racing games without gran turismo it will soon be talking about racing games and avoid what gram turismo became.… Expand

    the game economy is VASTLY improved. the previous highest reward for one race was Cr. 75,000, now there are lots of races with rewards over Cr. 500,000, and some even over Cr. 1,000,000!

It's really annoyed me because i just want to race people and have fun, i don't want to spend forever racing AI to get money or spend loads more money. This has gone from being an amazing game to being the internets biggest joke just by bringing in MT's and taking away race rewards.     Très décevant... Aucune course départ arrêté sur toute la carrière, ennuyeuse et très courte. Ou sont les courses d'endurance ? Si on veut collectionner des voitures il faut farmer des heures c'est très nul. Les sensations de vitesses ne sont pas bonnes, voir la concurrence avec Ride 4 ou Riders Republic par exemple

    The game keeps going to offline mode even though I have internet connection so I keep losing my progress. I just get frustrated every time I'm trying to play. I don't even mind the grind but the online only aspect complete ruins the game that otherwise would be fun.

    The amount of egregious microtransactions in this game is absolutely deplorable and has really strained my trust as a consumer with Polyphony. I expected them to make a masterpiece for their 25th anniversary, instead they've made a mockery of themselves for following the corporate norms. Shame on them, will be boycotting this game until the economy is revised.

    Tricked players into buying and then updated to show it's real face, which is a pay more real money to get cars. Roulettes are rigged to always give you the least payout available, cars overly expensive and credits given from races is a pittance. Add to that buying invites and credit cap and you get either grind forever or pay up.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a game with a great base and potential to do amazing things, but with the obvious abuse of MTX and the double standards of attempting to reduce grinding but in the same breath make the game more grindy.

    GT7 still has the opportunity to fix their issues and regain the trust and the love of the community that it created over the years.

    Disappointing.

    First, I need internet connection to play singleplayer? Makes absolutely no sense. Second, decreasing our race rewards and making cars ridiculously expensive in game just so we'll spend money on microtransactions is so slimy. To grind for one of the most expensive cars in game, it would take around 350 races to get! Do better.

    I'm leaving this review even after the "Ooopsy! 1 million Credit Apology" of the 1.09 patch and the response from Polyphony regarding the review bombs. So, why am I still leaving my own 0? A few reasons.

    It's still a 'Live Service' game shoved into my single player experience. I don't appreciate the verbiage of the 'apology' from Polyphony saying that our response had anything to do with 'confusion'. There was nothing confusing about what they did. It was obvious that they were/are pushing for a MTX economy and went too far (for the time being, I have my thoughts on that). The updates that actually need to happen didn't ship with the game to begin with. As people have pointed out, it was implied in the advertising before the game came out that you could sell your vehicles. The FFB for wheel users is trash, I believe that's because it was tuned for the DualSense controller. That's fine, but don't partner with Fanatec to make a $900 GT specific Direct Drive wheel package and the screw over wheel users/sim racers. The snap oversteer is terrible and it's inconsistent across vehicles; you never really know when you're going to need assists which gets tricky across hundreds of vehicles. Also, a lot of money was spent touting Sophy as a super sophisticated AI to race against but mostly my experience is that the AI is on rails and they will run me off the track instead of practicing or learning any form of race craft. It feels exactly like Dirt Rally 2.0 Rally X AI, if I'm completely honest.

    About my MTX thoughts. You know what I think 1.07/1.08 really was? It was an experiment, they intentionally made the economy terrible to see what they could get away with, and very clearly they couldn't get away with it being this bad... yet. It's the switcharoo effect that 'Live Service' games have been pulling since this has become the trend - make something utterly terrible, that way when it becomes slightly less terrible (but still actually terrible) it looks great in comparison to what it was. But remember when games actually had to be finished before they came out, instead of day one patches? Remember when your full priced $60 (now $70 or more) game didn't have F2P mechanics shoved into them? Remember when loot boxes weren't a thing? Or using FOMO mechanics to hook susceptible people into spending more money in their full priced game wasn't a thing? That's the stuff that disappoints me. That's the stuff that earns the 0.

    Oh, and all the fanboys white knighting for a giant corporation? Please stop, if we don't complain, we don't get this stuff fixed. "Oh it's supposed to be a grind." That's nice, I have a full time job and a life. Maybe 1 hour a day for games, the grind is designed in to push for MTXs and it's been shown this is the worst economy of any GT game. What, you want to feel some "Pride and accomplishment" down in your mom's basement or something? How about now - all these other folks that opened their mouths got you the ability to sell cars, and are getting race payouts fixed, fixing the low payouts for online racing so it feels like less of a waste to spend time on races that are generally more fun (since the AI is trash). Don't defend Sony and PD, they don't need it.

Not to mention that I am still not able to enjoy the improved graphics due to the PS5 shortage. This game is totally not worth me pre-ordering it!!

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
