    I have played the games since the start despite features getting taken away over the years when GT7 got announced and it made seem like everything I loved from the PS1 classic was back spoiler alert it's not the games new Roulette system gives the worst rewards often small cash in game.

    Upgrades are expensive so are the cars in game and if you want to buy the more rare expensive ones then be prepared to open your wallet 15 or £16 pounds will get you 2 million credits or you can always grind for credits (which have been nerfed) most likely to make you open your wallet. I'm gutted to see the game go like this hope this helps anyone wanting to get the game    … Expand

    The game has too much PTW content, the developers should either remove the options to buy cars ou lessen the amount of ingame resourcers needed do buy one. The last patch also made even hard to aquire cars without spending real money.

    Sony have stooped to a new low, deliberately cutting prize money and fixing roulette rewards in an attempt to get the player to buy micro transactions, as if £70 for the game wasn't already too much. hang your head in shame Sony.

    Gran turismo 7 catch up is a bad game. Every single race you are given an overpowered car and have to catch up to the leader with a 30 second gap. Every single race is a running start where the leader is miles ahead. Online which was great at Sport is unfinished and buggy. I regret preordering this game.

    A major downgrade from the last game. Terrible corporate greed and tone deaf gameplay loops. Cars can cost upwards of a $100 or hundreds of hours of gameplay. No excuse for it. Beyond that the "Cafe mode" is hilariously bad with the supposed "main career" feeling like an extended tutorial.

    Sadly the introduction of micro-transactions, for an already expensive game, on the day of launch - so none of the pre-launch reviews were aware of the mechanics of the credit system - was a move only to be seen in an early episode of Game of Thrones.     Then update 1.8 came out after 32 hours of downtime - because you can’t play any aspects of the main game if the servers are down - they nerfed the credits for pretty much all the race wins - making any serious supercars unavailable unless you either spend lots of extra monies OR grind the same races again and again, making you ultimately hate those races, as you’ve played them not for the joy of racing, but for the pain of building up credits.

    This was a strategic move for driving more revenue, that has ultimately back-fired in a horrendous way.

    Grind Turismo 7 - the latest game falling victim to corporate greed. Thing is, at the end of the day, it's the players that matter and the players aren't happy. They'll abandon the game in their droves, social media will be most effective with the bad press and Sony's / PD's reputation suffers massively.

    I paid 70 dollars for this game only for the grubby handed thieves at Sony to insert means to buy credits with real money and then they went and made cars cost 8x more than GT Sport. You can’t even make this up any more, folks. This is the state of the gaming industry, and Sony is getting ready to bend you over with live service games for the next decade.     Cash grab grind fest, if you want to race your favourite cars you'll need to take out a small bank loan first, had the potential to be the best racing game of all time before Polyphony Digital got greedy, no effort made to correct this after being called out on it, will never buy another PD game again.

    People are review bombing this game because of its always online status and bit of a grind to get expensive cars. I'm loving this masterpiece and while agree that some edges could be smoothed, this game is deserving of your time and purchase.

    Sony/Polyphony nerfed race payouts for the shameless micro-transactions after launch (after the reviews score came out). The always-online feature means this game is pretty much an EA-style live-service game.

    This is a good simulation racing game brought way way down from it's 7 out of ten by being $70 with always online DRM and pay to win microtransactions. This game proves that we should not be paying $30 for triple A games, let alone $70

    I have returned this game. Absolutely disgraceful to charge £70 and then expect fans to pay double or even triple that just to compete. (Or spend 5 days grinding for the same car).

    I will never buy another Gran Turismo game. For shame Playstation.

    - Dynamic weather Cons - Catch up racing - Economy/MTX - AI - Missing lobby features - Can’t invite friends directly to lobby - Incar view - No rear view mirror in hood cam - Directional audio is bad - Music and not able to customize menu playlist - Tuning in daily races - Loading    It’s almost every way downgrade from gt sport. Not to mention certain cars, some of which cost more than 10,000,000 credits, require invitations to buy them, or are only avaliable for a limited time, which is basically weaponized FOMO. Players either have to grind races with crap payouts or fork over real-life money to buy in-game credits before the cars disappear for god-knows-how-long. The McLaren F1 in particular went from costing 1,000,000 credits in previous titles to 18,500,000 credits, which is nothing short of outrageous.

    In short, corporate greed and microtransactions have singlehandedly ruined a video game with frankly stunning graphics and gameplay, and have tarnished the legacy of Gran Turismo. Do NOT buy this game until Polyphony Digital decides to get their crap together.    … Expand

    Lost the spirit of GT games, fully pushed towards microrotations. Also single player is extremely lacking once you complete the cafe books. Would've loved the old style of races and championships just with updated graphics. The most annoying thing even more so than microtransactions are the rolling starts makes each race boring and dull.

    I hoped it would the successor to Gran Turismo 4 which was the last game in the series I purchased before losing faith in the series and switching to the Forza franchise that has thoroughly trounced Gran Turismo for many years despite the last two FM games    At first glances this game appears to be a return to form.     I hoped it would the successor to Gran Turismo 4 which was the last game in the series I purchased before losing faith in the series and switching to the Forza franchise that has thoroughly trounced Gran Turismo for many years despite the last two FM games being rather disappointing themselves.

    I purchased the game at an incredible price of £90 including some bonuses, I also bought a Logitech G29 wheel to play it.

    Reviews came in and all appeared well, the game looked excellent. Unfortunately the reviewers did not do their jobs thoroughly. The game is an utter façade of falsehood and playing past the 'café' campaign reveals absolutely nothing underneath; very few racing series, incredibly low reward pay outs for everything, daily gambling that 99% of the time results in credits barely worth the press of the controller button, the majority of cars unavailable to purchase locked behind a used car dealership that seems to almost never change stock, a system that requires you to get lucky and win an INVITATION to buy a car for a limited period of time or an exclusive second hand dealer with absolutely shocking prices for cars making them unaffordable for all but the most hardcore or willing to purchase.... credits for cash.

    Yes that's it folks. A £90 game that then pushes you to purchase currency to buy cars. I am disgusted by this game, Polyphony digital should be ashamed of themselves. I do not buy a GAME to simulate my inability to afford the most expensive cars around, I buy a game to drive them. If that is what you desire, this is not the game for you and frankly as it is the game should be free to play as that is how it is monetised.    … Expand

    I am really speechless about this game. I bought this game last week and since then it was nothing but disappointment for me. I am saddened to see a great franchise is in this situation. Not recommending it at all. Sorry.

    The game is exceptional in every way. The graphics, gameplay, tracks and soundtrack makes up for a Gran Turismo masterpiece. However, it’s absurdly hard to make credits in-game, forcing you to spend (a lot) of money in micro transactions to get more credits. This game costs $70!!! It shouldn’t have such mechanic. Therefore, I highly advise all not to buy it unless they change it.

    Like the haptics, graphics etc. But the microtransactions and low payout are absolute **** I bought it from a retailer for €66,99 on the PSN store it's €79,99 yet they are treating it like it's some free-to-play gacha game.

    An amazing game that has gotten completely destroyed by forcing players to buy super expensive micro transactions to even have the slightest enjoyment in the game, oh and did I mention that the game on it's own is $70? Well have fun spending $400 to even unlock your dream car, if you don't want to spend days grinding the same race over and over again

    The game is a simple drive simulation.

    GOOD- Graphic detail; huge garage; basically a GT!
    BAD- No qualification (you start in end of race),
    all the patches are to increase micro-transactions (lowering prize and augmet price of car).

    after the patch I would not buy the game anymore.

    The whole debate about next-gen game pricing getting ridiculous at this point. Horizon Forbidden west and Eldenring...yes please take my money.

    After all the critic reviews had been released they patched the game to increase the reliance on microtransactions. Shame on Sony and Polyphony for such predatory behaviour. I hope they notice this backlash and restore the franchise to what it once was.

    With the 1.07 update, it is no longer the game I bought earlier this month. Many cars are behind a paywall now due to Polyphony's focus on microtransactions. It's a good game, and it just took a spectacularly wrong turn.

    Welcome to the Gran Capitalismo 7!

    Main features:
    - new simulator of poverty
    - insane short career
    - lack of cars
    - lack of events
    - low rewards and bad economy
    - crazy microtransactions
    - online only
    - f2p structure

    The game uses a balance system so if you are not going to pay through microtransactions you will suffer. If you don't pay with real money, you will grind longer.

    A Real Next Gen Game, wonderful graphics and nice Gameplay, but the Player will be forced to spend real Money for cars, up to 200$ for one care in a Game with 424 Cars atm. Sure i can Play to earn Credits but in average it needs 146h for the 200$ car. Shame on you PD.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
