    Grind Tourismo or Pay Tourismo is a better name to this scam of a software then Gran Tourismo. Rewards are 99% only 2k in credits and now since patch v1.08 they nerf your reward so you can buy credits with real money and buy one over priced car for $30 because the grinding is almost infinite. That is not a way to enjoy a 80,- game. The price in first place is a scam and now with theseGrind Tourismo or Pay Tourismo is a better name to this scam of a software then Gran Tourismo. If not grinding in a game then it is a starange concept of upgrading a game for 10,-( frome last gen to current ) And also this game needs always internet..and what happend from March 17 til 18th..yes the server were down and no one could play the game for 36 hours and then instead of compensating the players the nerf the reward systen. Thanks Sony, your true face and arrogance is back at its best. This game does not seserve any more sales and i hope everyone will boycot this crap that is based to steal even more money from you. As if the 80 dollar/euro was not expensive enough. And for what? Where is this price based on??? Its a cross gen game for crying out loud. On PC games have ultra ray traycing. Native 4k and FPS as high as your PC can handel. Ultra res textures etc and games are still 60,- Guys do not sponsor this until Sony and their studios change the behaviour. It happend also in the past during PS3 era. Mid life cycle Sony changed from lead Playstation person and everything went better.     Game is almost perfect in terms of actual race simulation, campaign with menu system is soo good, tuning is absolute best. Online multiplayer is still a beast like GT Sport and will improve in future as more events and championships gets added. Day one tracks and cars roster is very promising and since it’s live service and will be supported 5 to 6 years. I will expect the cars and tracksGame is almost perfect in terms of actual race simulation, campaign with menu system is soo good, tuning is absolute best. Day one tracks and cars roster is very promising and since it’s live service and will be supported 5 to 6 years. I will expect the cars and tracks to go beyond 2/3rd of existing day 1. License tests and missions are still tougher and helps you teach all the techniques you need to master the racing. Dual sense integration is by far the best and it absolutely helps you in sensing the feel of track surface, braking and acceleration stress and 3d audio helps in finding opponents positioning. Dynamic weather with day to night cycle along with wet weather is the best of any racing games. Overall game is top notch. There will be more updates with better rewards for winning races, don’t piss the game devs since it’s almost perfect in many other ways. As for always online, I am okay with it since GT Sport also had it and Devs themselves told you need always online for the game. If people are still pissed, then they’re dumb enough to think before buying the game. Always online is needed in order for anticheating with tampering save files in Multiplayer especially as the game will be complaint with FIA GT championships, which is key aspect for it to be online only. So people just need to calm down and enjoy the game rather than complaining for 24/7 about the game. It’s going to even better from here with free content updates for next 5 to 6 yrs… Expand

    Microtransactions, network locking a single player focused game, developers breaking the game with updates, 36 hour downtime with no apology and no compensation, nerfing payouts on events to push microtransactions, and it’s only been a few weeks. Remains to be seen how much worse the game gets.

    The game was a 7/10 on release but the difficulty to obtain cars and car modifications is obsurd. Then the update that followed the large down time made the game even worse. Now you have to spend lots of time grinding or buy credits. I regret preordering the special edition.

This game is incomplete with less tracks and rushed game modes that shouldn’t be in the game. Café lost its taste as well as missions. Now to add an update to lower the rewards and push microtransactions lost the true hardcore fan base this game had. The companyThis game is beautiful and really shows the power of the PS5.     Don't understand why people are now dropping bombs on this game because of microtransactions you don't need and the servers problems it had for ine dsy. This game deserves so much more love.
    Amazing game with great controls and gameplay.
    Looking forward to everything that is still to come.

    Forza Horizon at least lets you play offline. There's no real arcade mode, so it's basically impossible to drive super cars without buying them through micro transactions.

    This is the first time I spent that much money on a game ($90 for the 25th anniversary version) and very disappointed for the game to turn out like this especially for long time fans.

It is virtually impossible to purchase the top cars with credits which means you need to purchase them with real money at $20-$40 for each car!!! What a greedy cash grab!     Bought this on march 16 and was unable to play for 2 days because servers were down.
    Mediocre racing game and every race you just start in last place and slow cars are in front of you and you drive 2 laps. Very boring.
    Mtx are horrible and youll be driving cheap compact cars for a long time.

    Also sony literally hung up on me for asking for a refund. Dont buy this game.
    Loved gt2 and 3.

    Microtransactions, grinding for no credits at all, even if you have the credits you have to be "invited" to buy some of the cars. If you are a fan burn this game to the ground.

    Always on connection even for single player. Outrageously priced cars in some cases, with continual reduction of race payouts, trying to force microtransactions. No real campaign/story mode. What a shame.

    I loved this game when I bought it, but the most recent update has made it so that I potentially have to pay out of my own pocket hundreds of dollars to enjoy the higher end cars. This is unacceptable and is a major disappointment. I don’t want to play anymore due to the greed of the developers and I feel like the spirit of the game is corrupted by their selfishness.     Es ist schwer zu unterscheiden ob man GT SPORT oder GT7 spielt. Grafisch ist Flop trotz Ray Tracing. Beim Arcade Spielen braucht man ständig Internet Verbindung aber warum! FPS ist nicht immer stabil!

    Can't believe the microtransactions in this game. The recent patch just made the system to get new cars so much harder. Unable to play this game offline and server issues. Trying to request a refund now. Let me know if others have any luck with that.

    Microtransactions. What a disgusting money grab. Everything is tailored to make the user want to purchase in game currency. Can't use cars in other modes unless you unlock them first in career which is just grinding or pay to skip.

    The lobby system is a hack job. Cannot change lobby event settings once lobby is created. No lobby loadout saves. All basic features have been stripped when GTSport had them. Changing game design with a patch that caters to micro.. Than to require a online connection to play. I didn't buy a game to use as a plastic coaster.

The payouts in this game are an absolute joke and the constant microtransactions popping up in your face is a really punch in the gut for those of us who think a $70 should not have microtransactions (this isn't a free to play game).

    Besides those 2 points, there are smaller nuances here and there but nothing else is more major than points 1 & 2. All in all I am very unhappy with the direction that Sony is going. The fact that they allowed this in their game is appalling    … Expand

    Other issue already well spread is the push for MTX. The payout for racers was diminished since the game launched (making all critic reviews not updated) making it a chore to gain credits.     First u pay 80 bucks for a fullsize game - then afterwards they alter the prizemoney so u have to buy some credits to get along - shame shame shame.
    This guy Yamauchi says "they don't want people have to drive one race again and again to gain credits..." and hen they slice the reward so u have to drive it even more. Is this some kind of haiku?

    Si vous achetez une voiture et qu'on vous dit qu'aujourd'hui elle ne marchera pas vous ne pourrez pas l'utiliser, et que si elle n'est pas connectée à internet c'est mort également, vous feriez quoi ? Dans le JV aujourd'hui on tolère tout et n'importe quoi, ils nous prennent pour des pigeons !! Honte à Sony.     Sur le jeu en lui meme maintenant on se tape des menus inutiles qui nous empechent de profiter du jeu comme on le souhaite c'est franchement nul.
    Les voitures d'occasion ca n'a rien a voir avec les anciens GT ou il y en avait pas mal, la c'est 15 bagnoles qui se battent en duel.
    Le nombre total est également ridicule d'autant plus que les concessions sont vides et que la moitié des bagnoles sont à gagner.
    Les musiques sont 50% nazes, ou sont les musiques de GT1 trop stylées ?
    Les tickets que l'on gagne sont également une masquarade on tombe toujours sur les trucs pourris.

    En plus avec la maj on gagne moins d'argent pour que Sony s'engraisse avec leur pay to win, une honte.

    So disappointed in the initial design decisions that have been made on this project. It's hard to believe its been 7 years and this is the result. Hugely disappointed. The Gran Turismo brand is forever tarnished.

    The only good or strong phase of this game is the amount of content that offers, but, the only way to get all of that is paying for it or breathing to play, that's it.
    The gameplay is mediocre, it doesn't innovate. And you need to be online everytime you want to play.
    I just throwed 70$ to garbage.

    La ou les choses se compliqué c'est quand on se décide de se faire un garage garnis de nos véhicule préféré. Pour    Malgré qu'il soit qu'une grosse maj de GT Sport, il reste très plaisant à jouer. Les permis, missions et gt café sont sympa à réaliser bien que le contenu solo reste très pauvre à l'heure actuelle. La conduite est très fun et le changement de dénivelé offre de bonne sensation.

    La ou les choses se compliqué c'est quand on se décide de se faire un garage garnis de nos véhicule préféré. Pour s'offrir les quelques 400 véhicules (- la petite centaine offerte avec les différentes activités du mode solo), il ne faudra "que" quelques centaines voir milliers d'heures de jeu (pour 1 demi million/heure avec une très bonne optimisation du temps + bonus "course parfaite" ou alors "que" 2 000€ (a 20€ pour 2M Cr) pour se les offrir via micro transaction. A savoir un peut moins de 200M Cr pour s'offrir tous les véhicules. A condition aussi d'avoir l'argent nécessaire lorsqu'elles apparaissent dans le garage occasion ou qu'on obtiennent l'invitation (à durée limitée afin encore une fois de forcer la main).

    Alors oui ce jeu perdurera dans le temps et donc il faut trouver un juste equilibre pour eviter de tout obtenir en 2 minute. Mais il y a une difference plutot notable entre tout obtenir en 2 minutes et 2 ans (ou alors avec un petit coup de pouce avec la CB)... Mais encore faut il que des joueurs soit encore sur ce jeu au vue de l'évolution qui est visiblement souhaité pour ce dernier.

    Gran Turismo 7 est un très bon jeu qui ne demande qua s'étoffer mais malheureusement pourrait sombrer à cause de son modèle économique qui est, en restant polis, fortement discutable.    … Expand

    Driving is ok, or it would be if you could play the game when you want to, wich you can't since even the solo is behind an online DRM and not available when server are down. Also the game, sold full price, has free to play mechanics asking you to grind indefinitely to buy just about any car... DISAPOINTING, a huge step back for playstation exclusives

    Was mich richtig ärgert, habe das Spiel als Download aus dem Store gekauft und kann es somit weder zurück geben noch verkaufen .....

I’ve played Gran Turismo 7 for the past two weeks now and I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly. It looks stunning and the gameplay is great. The racing is feels exciting, realistic, and very well made. However, after Polyphony Digital released the 1.08 patch over this weekend, I feel like most of my interest in this game has faded away.

    Now, the servers being down and the game not really being playable offline is something I can live with. It’s a flaw for sure, but not a big one if you ask me. The changes with the economy and the credit pay-outs are what feels like a real slap in the face to me. For the total 18 race events, only 2 received a credit-buff. The rest have been nerfed so much that the general time it takes to make credits in this game has been doubled, at least…

    It’s painfully obvious that this has been done in an attempt to make it even harder for players to collect cars and push them towards the microtransactions. It’s such a shame that it all developed into this. The 1.08 patch truly cripples the entire game and the experience that it offers, or should I say “offered”. I find it funny that this happens now, two weeks after the launch when all of the official reviews are already out.    … Expand

    Was really looking forward to this game. I didn't expect micro transactions to play such a big role. And the mini roulette game should require an "Adult" ES-RB rating. I am going to put the game aside until those micro-transactions are removed. I paid 80 EUR for this and am not willing to invest one more cent to support micro-transactions. Definitely my last pre-order for Polyphony Digital games.

    I can no longer progress in my game and there is nothing I can do, I spent £70 on a game that a cannot play. Very dissapointed in the online only aspect, results in losing vast amounts of your time.

    They've sold their soul. Micro transaction cancer has ruined this game. Also annoyed by the lack of new tracks over GT Sport. The graphics are amazing, as is the attention to detail, so is the gameplay but the campaign is far too short and it's so daddy. Honestly, just buy GT Sport, it doesn't look as good but is 90% of the game without the annoying micro transactions.

    First the graphics are not next gen. Second the physics are not the best in overall. Third requires permanent connection and if the servers goes down you will not be able to play the game as recently with the update 1.07, also the credits was reduced for all the races to pushing buy credits.

    Don't get me started on the microtransactions. PD reduced the payouts for races and forces you to grind more. Adding salt to the wound, there's a credit limit of 20 Mil for earned credits but no limit for purchased credits. You can't even sell dupicate cars! There's also a dumb lootbox system but it's really scuffed compared to sport. High end parts are locked behind the lootbox system and can't be purchased in tuneshops unlike in previous titles. I'd be fine with the roulette system if it was like in gt sport where you can ACTUALLY get cars unlike gt7 where they give you 5000 credits 90% of the time.

    And then there's the always online DRM. I was locked out of the game for over 30 HOURS. I was not even able to use my own cars in the arcade races! Overall, this GT was a massive dissapointment with the reduction of quality motivated by greed. I'll just set up my ps2 and go back to playing GT3.    … Expand

    The game is giving me very low payout credits, does not respect the amount of time I spend playing it. It was not a satisfying experience after all the money I spent buying the DD pro wheel. This game I pre-ordered was not worth paying premium price for.

In addition to finishing all the previous GT's, I'm done with menu books, most of the missions, and golds in most of the license tests in GT7. I consider myself a veteran and proficient GT'er. Two weeks ago I never envisioned myself creating an account in order to post a review, much lessI've played GT since the beginning, there is no question this game tarnishes the franchise name. Two weeks ago I never envisioned myself creating an account in order to post a review, much less posting this one, but PD screwed this game up so much that I felt it had to be done.

    Simple fact of the matter is they want you to pay real money for game cars in addition to purchasing the game (which isn't even finished). The entire structure from the 3 places to purchase cars to the minuscule payouts for race wins is meant to drive you to so called "micro transactions". What is that anyway? If I spend $20 on beer, I don't consider that a micro transaction. They should call them multi-transactions, as that is what they are truly hoping for... you re-upping your credits anytime a used car that you want finds its way into a dealership.

    Other complaints include a horrible physics engine for the wheel/pedal vs the controller. Compared to Sport, this is a huge step backwards. I'm always faster with a controller, but some things are now simply undoable with a wheel/pedal setup. And along with a complaint about a lack of grip... why is there so much rain? Yeah, it looks great, but it seriously decreases the fun of a lot of races, I mean a lot of races. Far too many races with rain at some point. It isn't fun, just pure frustration (especially if you using a wheel/pedal).

    The game looks great, but I have no doubt that it suffers some from the decision to be PS4 compatible. That said, if you bought a PS5 just to play this game, you'd probably be a little more bitter about it. The only real step forward that I've found is in body kits. Lots of new options here, including the removal of wings (thank you!!!), though it still costs you credits (aka real money in PD/Sony minds).

    I want to love this game, and I hope in time that some issues are resolved to the point where I'd recommend it to the average gamer. BUT right now, I don't see a noobie to the franchise enjoying the title. Finish the game, increase the race payouts (all of them if you really don't want us to grind the same car and track all of the time), and get the handling back to something playable for wheel/pedals, until then I'll still make my daily workout in Sport, and have more fun doing it than anything I have left in GT7.    … Expand

    Better than gt sport but still just as bad. Forza motorsport 7 is still a better racing simulation game, and they shut down the servers for that game too. Reward system is crap! Your're almost guaranteed to get the worst prize from the gift cards. Hopefully they do better with the game in the future and listen to the people.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
