    I'm huge fans of GT series "BEFORE". GT7 make me very disappointed!!!

    I played GT series since GT1. GT7 is the worst in the entire series!!! - the least content in GT series! * very less event in campaign mode. Cafe mode is garbage. (I completed in one day) * very less track. Without city track. - Can't play the game without network, even the single player campaign mode. * This    I'm huge fans of GT series "BEFORE". GT7 make me very disappointed!!!

    - Serious imbalance between expenditure and reward
    * PD still decrease the reward

    - Bad roulette system
    * some modification parts / cars can only be get from roulette. That mean I need to buy / modify a car by luck??

    - Bad AI.
    * The AI is not trying the overtake. It just want to hit / crash your car

    - Bad balance for the performance point
    * Even I modified the car to the maximum PP for the race requirement. The performance still have big different with other cars. That mean the have to play by luck. you will never know which car is the fastest one on a specific PP limit.

    Due to maintenance. Some invitations from the car dealership have expired.
    PD no compensation at all. What they replied for that???
    - to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again?????
    * Are you joking to me? The campaign mode's event is the least one in GT series. I have completed all events already. But still not enough money to buy / modify the cars. How can I "avoid keep replaying certain events over and over again"???

    * Why don't you adjust the price as same as the real car? 450,000 USD to buy the Cr.. Then you can buy the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster in GT7. Sounds Good??

    there's still a lot of room for improvement, but there have definitely been a lot of upgrades and favorable things that came from this game.
    i have finished the cafe mode and it was pretty fun, and im excited to play the online and sport mode.
    although the always online is a bummer.

    RTG85 summed this up already. - broke transaction system - balance patch basically made the game useless - internett connection to play solo? What!? I paid good money for this, but obviously my money aint good enough for them. Its obvious they dont care about their Gran Turismo fans no more..     Paying so much money for this game and still forcing us to pay more for cars is totally unacceptable. To be honest, how can you earn let say 3m credits to buy a car with invitation (that means with deadline) by earning them in the game? And the server down for over a day? Sony are better than this, come on!

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! What a joke. What a shame. I was so excited to play what was supposedly 'The greatest driving sim', but what we got instead was a MTX mess. Shame on the board for encouraging microtransactions and whoever decided 'always-online' is a good idea. I hope they fix this game, until then I'll be playing Forza. I'm returning GT7 to best buy tomorrow :(

    Hardcore fan since the very beginning of this pivotal franchise. Forked out 80 € (hooray for european prices!) only to see this once glorious franchise turned into a greedy gatcha game. You can continue with this always online **** Poliphony or choose to rectify it and not lose all your devoted fanbase..

Cant complain if those games are down, they're free. Unless you invested in it. But point is, if you buy a physical copy of a game, you should be able to play the game offline whenever you want. Ultimately, don't buy this game if you want to play it offline or whenever you want. Because you won't be able to. Well done to the devs for making a solid game but you lot need to touch down to planet Earth. This is like purchasing a brand new car only to be able to drive it when the dealership tells you it's okay to do so. Or like buying a new shoe only to be able to wear it when your neighbour says you're allowed to.

I will never buy another Gran Turismo game until It does not require DRM online only crap. I feel like I have been robbed. It is not a good feeling at all. Sony needs to correct this. This new "Games as a service" direction is 1000% anti-consumer. It's anti-gamer. It is totally unacceptable and Sony comes off as super greedy .     A full priced Free to Play game with little to none playable content. Forced permanent online, even for single player, it is a game you cannot own. Forced micro-transactions everywhere, to make it worse the game has seen an update to drastically reduce race payouts, and players are not allowed to sell their cars. The worst pay to win game ever.
    Do not buy this game.

After making it much harder to save up to get the cars you want, without any other way of doing so, this leaves me missing gt5 and older. Kinda just disappointing… Expand

Basically any reasonable way to try to earn credit to buy or tune cars are now being driven towards paying out of your pocket after paying up front.     Super scummy move. Microtransactions were not available when most people reviewed the game prior to release. With the latest update they have decreased payouts to try to push people into buying credits. You can't sell the cars that you earn or buy. Game can only be played online. They have ruined one of the greatest racing series of all time.

    The game was pretty good before the most recent issues, I would have given it a 7/10. But after the recent changes, I hope this game tanks hard and they lose their whole user base asap.     The economy is so broken. There are not enough events to make it work and the payouts are pitiful. Polyphony says they want it to be realistic.     Great story mode that saves this from a 0, but Microtransactions is ruining the game for me. The story is also quite short and even tho this is my first GT game I beat it pretty easily on the hardest difficulty.

    The online stuff is one of the worst matchmaking experiences too.

Since yesterday it all went to crap, 25 years in the making, all gone in an hour because Sony and Polyphony sees this game as a cash cow, with atrocious micro transactions, cars litterally costing up to $140USD real life money (yes, you read that right), the game being unavailable for 33 hours even though it's been out for two weeks. The game is now a big fat joke, it's supposed to be a fun and competitive racing game, but now you have to take it as a job just to get the cars you want. I'll give you an example, one of the fastest ways to make money in the game is playing a single race over and over, it takes 5 minutes to complete and gives you a 60k payout (thanks to latest patch), this is roughly 700k per hour, some  cars are valued at 14M in game cash, so 20 hours of pure farm. For a single car. Doesn't sound fun right? "But what if you play the game without farming, you'll get it someday..." I have played this game for over 60 hours, and earned $6.3M, am I supposed to play for another 100 hours FOR A SINGLE CAR? It also brings out a bigger problem in gaming: Do you really own the games you buy?
    Due to server maintenance (which in a normal world would cause only the multiplayer component of the game) the whole game was unavailable for 33 hours. A day and a half where you just couldn't play the game whatsoever. Who at Polyphony thought this was a good idea to make the game always online, this caused a major game outage in 2 weeks. Seriously, I enjoyed playing this game, it plays and feels nice, but everything around it is plain terrible. From a GT fan: Either don't buy this game, or wait for a complete overhaul of the economy system. Me and lots of other won't play before this happens. It's your call now, Polyphony.

    I bought the game because most reviewers said micro-transactions were not needed to progress and make money in the game to buy cars. It seems that Polyphony Digital waited until all reviews were out, then nerfed the amount of money you get per race. I generally do not like such practices and regret this purchase. This was my first Gran Turismo game and most likely my last.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, you are paying $70 for a F2P game, you will have to buy cars with actual cash. If I wanted a job simulator, I'd just stay in the real world. This game is the worst. I'm not grinding 20 hours to buy 1 car.

It becomes insanely difficult to earn credit to buy and tune cars. Unless you pay real money to buy credits, it is almost impossible to buy some fancy cars.     In addition to this if you want any of the special cars featured in the advertising of this game be prepared to grind monotonously for hundreds of hours because the in game economy is broken. If grinding does not take your fancy be prepared to spend hundreds, even thousands, of real life dollars to acquire the best cars in the game.

    The AI drivers in the game are also useless. Around some tracks you'll overlap them as they are unable to make it around some tricky corners. In the advertising for Gran Turismo 7, Sony heavily promoted the 'Sophy AI' that beat some of the best sim racers in the world. Unfortunately you will not find 'Sophy' in this game and there is no confirmation that it will be included in this instalment in the future.

    The online racing is a step back from GT Sport as the game allows for tuning cars (which conveniently is expensive in the game) meaning those with the best set ups for their cars have a significant advantage. In comparison, the predecessor GT Sport had remarkably balanced online racing.

    Do yourself a favour, avoid this game until it is fixed, and instead buy a second hand PS2 and find a copy of Gran Turismo 4 (2004).    … Expand

    They hid the micro transactions from the reviewers so all the reviews are untrue.
    My advice is stay away from this game because you wil get it cheaper and later on.

They are actually focus on how to earn money like reducing reward to force players buy the car by using their real money. The races don't pay much, but I found a grind that would help me work on my collection. This was my first gran turismo game I bought when it released and at first I was happy with what I had but then the game ended out of nowhere and I was left with what seemed a very minimal and diverse amount of races, a lot of very difficult challenges to complete on controller, & extremely predatory micro transactions. I had absolutely no idea that literally 90% of this game is only playable online so if I don’t have a internet connection, I am only limited to barely 10% of what this game has to offer. This wasn’t stated anywhere in the PlayStation store before I preordered and bought the game. On top of this, after the last update where I found out the majority of the game can only be played online, the people at polyfony digital decided to cut literally EVERY single race that was somewhat efficient in making in game money instead of balancing the lesser paying races. This company did all of this purposefully after every review company had posted a favorable review for them & now they r treating their customers as if they were slaves to earn virtual cars in their game. To polygons digital & Sony: this will be the first and last time I ever buy a game within months of it releasing and it might even be the last time I buy a game from ur store ever because this keeps happening across so many games Sony allows on their store. This is heartbreaking for this to happen in gaming, games were supposed to be a haven and now that’s being manipulated and abused.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
