    There's an essense of a great game here, that's completely ruined by one man's "vision".

    Siempre he sido un gran fan de los juegos de conducción y en especial de la serie Gran Turismo . Sin embargo me siento estafado con este juego ya que no solo es un juego caro $60 en su versión de PS4 sino que para avanzar y poder pasarte el juego necesitas o farmear y pasarte continuamente las diferentes carreras varias veces o pagar las macrotransacciones que Sony exige para poderSiempre he sido un gran fan de los juegos de conducción y en especial de la serie Gran Turismo .     Otros puntos negativos son los gráficos , en donde no se nota evolución gráfica desde Gran Turismo 5 , así como que no hay sensación de velocidad con cualquier coche y que no es un real simulator como nos venden .

    Y por último , otro punto negativo es la conexión permanente al online , lo que hace que si se caen los servidores como hace dos dias o en el futuro pues no puedas disfrutar de tu videojuego en ninguno de sus diferentes modos .

    Puntos positivos : modo foto , en este modo si se aprecia la evolución gráfica . Modo café que es el modo historia del juego es bastante original .

    Licencias : conserva la chispa y originalidad del primer gran turismo .

    Absolute joke of a game. At first the game starts out fine, as I was enjoying the cafe mode they introduce you to. But then you realize that cafe is the only way to unlock stuff in the game such as sport mode and circuits. Cafe mode isn’t even interesting, all you do is start last in a “rolling start” where the leader is 40 seconds ahead meaning you have to race your way 1st. Only reasonAbsolute joke of a game. Cafe mode isn’t even interesting, all you do is start last in a “rolling start” where the leader is 40 seconds ahead meaning you have to race your way 1st. Only reason they do rolling starts and no standing starts is because the game’s AI is complete garbage so instead of fixing the terrible AI they’d rather have you try and gain 40 seconds in 5 laps. Not so hard to do cause as I said, the AI are garbage and your just cruising past them. This is incredibly boring and not what a “racing” is at all. Shame it’s what over 90% of the content in this game is.
    They didn’t even bother to add any new cars. It’s the same old stuff from GT sport and there’s not many new circuits. I don’t know what they spent their time doing during the development of this game cause it honestly seems like they did nothing and remembered they had to actually make GT7 in the last 5 months. Don’t forget buying this game until the devs get their **** together.    … Expand

    How to fix GT7:
    1. Make it not online-only. DRM f*cking sucks. I paid $70 for a physical copy of a game that I can’t play when your servers are offline. 2. Either get rid of the micro transactions, or fix the economy in the game. 3. Add the ability to put bots into online races. Racing against a buddy with ONLY your buddy REALLY sucks.

    While I was enjoying this until a recent update on March 18 that reduced the amount of credits you get for race wins, where the race cars to buy are so expensive it’s nearly impossible to get it without buying credits for real money. They made this change after we paid full price for it.     Polyphony Digital and Sony's decision to deliberately mislead the public by introducing extreme credit reward limitations following a patch released 1 week after the original release reviews is a slap in the face at best and possibly criminally misleading at worst. Not what I would come to expect from a respectable developer and platform as PD and Sony.

    The campaign is limited and just revolves around trying to take your money. For example it costs more money to upgrade your tires than what you can earn in a single race. The latest update just made it even harder to make money, almost as if they waited for the good reviews before implementing.

    To say this is a disappoint would be an understatement. I paid full paid price DRM prevents me from accessing the game for hours on end because of "server maintenance". Game progression has now been handicapped via a patch to sell more DLC.

There's not much "Racing" involved since it starts you so far back, you just blow by all AI cars to try to catch the leader far in front of you. Assist are garbage and you will always be turning them on/off. Online is lame, feels dated.     Unplayable mess with the latest update. The always online single player mode was poorly implemented. I know it’s a driving simulator but cars are exorbitantly priced. Do not buy the SRT Tomahawk X VGT, it can’t be used for any races to recoup the cost.

    Dont bait and switch your fans! Why is a single-player game only online? There are plenty of games that can implement an anti-cheat while remaining offline it makes no sense. There are reports of people losing all their save data as well so there really is no point at all.

    I've waited for a good GT to come out since GT3. GT7 game plays like a beta version. There is no offline mode and there are constant problems with the game. Several classes of cars do not even have races. The cafe quests are short-lived. You can't sell extra cars. Credit payout for races is wildly low. It's as if paying $70 for a game is insufficient and you must pay $200 to buyI've waited for a good GT to come out since GT3. GT7 game plays like a beta version. There is no offline mode and there are constant problems with the game. Several classes of cars do not even have races. The cafe quests are short-lived. You can't sell extra cars. Credit payout for races is wildly low. It's as if paying $70 for a game is insufficient and you must pay $200 to buy enough credits to avoid 70+ hours of grinding. I have a few other quibbles with some dynamics in cars. For example, the new civic type r understeers like a Camry and won't rotate but the GTI/Scirocco are great. On a real road course, the type R handles great with no modifications required. The graphics are excellent for the cars and tracks. The people and other aspects are terrifying afterthoughts.     The menu system is still as clunky as ever but we've all become used to that over the years. All the unnecessary fluff about car culture should of been put in a document on a side menu rather than in the main game and all the useful stuff about car handling should of been taken out of the side menu and put in the main game. It's sad to see so much effort put into Luca's road block content that you furiously try to skip over to get to the next bit of game.

    I've noticed people complaining about it being always online when in 2022 this is pretty much the norm, with cloud saves, etc. Also lots of fluff about micro transactions being in the game also but we had them in GT6 as well along with the really expensive cars.

    So yeah it's entertaining but it makes you wonder if Polyphony Digital have just been wasting time since GT6.

    Update: bombing the rating as it seems to be the only thing that PD / Sony notice. In the context of massively expensive cars out there and the massively high cost of credits, the item mall fails to understand the concept of micro transactions. Also the roulette random payouts are annoying, they take too long and 99% of the time you get junk.

    In light of the 1.07/1.08 update dumpster fire it seems that PD are unwilling to fix the issue with any urgency. While saying they don't want people to have to grind, they reduce the payouts to make people have to grind more, when in fact they should of been adding zeros to the payouts and removing them from the prices.    … Expand

Throughout the stages of the cafe, requirements are getting higher and car upgrades are not cheap. Based on experience, roulette tickets often gives the smallest amount of credits (5k only).     The whole game is based on microtransactions, the game is more like a torture tool, because you earn in-game credits very slowly and there is not enough events to race... You end up repeating the same race over and over...
    But this is not f2p game, this is full $80 game!

This also doesn't include the fact you cannot sell cars you bought or earned throughGame is great fun to play...when you actually can play it. Plagued with an abundance of server and update issues as well as a constant bombardment of microtransactions, Polyphony Digital have almost singlehandedly killed one of the best releases they have put out since the PS2 era of Gran Turismo games. This also doesn't include the fact you cannot sell cars you bought or earned through races or roulette spins, or that they continue to outright discourage players from grinding for credits as they continuously decrease the amount of credits earned from races.
    Currently as it stands, I cannot recommend buying this game unless you enjoy supporting a developer and publisher who are more interested in their profit margins than they are in actually creating a game that is both fun to play and engaging for the player to continue playing over many years to come.

    Final verdict: Do not buy, or buy on a steep sale.    … Expand

    I had never played any game in the Gran Turismo series before. Visually the game is wonderful, very beautiful. But Polyphony's policy forcing us to have a constant internet connection and the way they force us gamers to buy cars is just ridiculous. Servers spend most of their time offline this hinders player progress and takes 95% of the fun out of the game and makes it absolutely useless.

    30 hour outage because of an online server DRM issue for a SINGLE player game. My physical copy wasn't playable because of their server issue. This is a single player experience.

    Stay away from this garbage.

    Good game, too buggy in places, and obviously released too early. But the microtransactions made me suspicious. And the reduction of rewards feels awfully like we’re being shafted.

    Very uncool, and not what I expect from a trusted brand. Needs fixed FAST, or they’ll alienate their fanbase quickly.

    TL;DR: GT7 was close to being good but payout cuts at the time of reviewing have turned the game into part time job where you have to live in your mom’s house or have no life to enjoy it as the process of grinding is more maddening than normal. Also DRM severely limits lifespan of game and if servers go down then you’re “single player experience” is severely crippled.

    Honesty, we haven't had a gran turismo game since the 6th instalment in like 2013, and although this game had its very buggy moments that lasted more than a day. I'm sure we can skip past that and just accept what we have and how great it is, with new cars, community favourite tracks and more. This game is worth the grind with its challenges and missions.

Alot of people in the GT7 Facebook group and in these reviews are so fixated on the microtransactions and always online aspect, but nobody is forcing you to buy credits, the in game economy (pricing and rewards) is much the same as it has always been and we connect most of our devices to "Always online" connections. Man I've never been so disappointed. Cannot sell cars, there are no easy ways to farm credits unless you pay real money. DAMN YOU SONY.     otro de los fallos es en el apartado de microtransacciones, es muy caro los paquetes de créditos y los vehículos también se vieron afectados ya que el costo de estos es mucho mayor que las vistas en GT sport, obligándonos a farmear por mas tiempo los créditos aunado a que las recompensas se vieron muy injustas ya que en carreras simples o campeonatos el premio en créditos es muy baja (aun despues del parche 1.08) y como ultimo clavo en en ataúd el uso obligado de estar online siempre incluso para jugar modo campaña entorpece la experiencia para los usuarios que tal vez no cuenten con un servicio de internet estable y eso haría perder los avances en un campeonato si no concluiste en medio de varias carreras. considero que para la opción multijugador y sport 7 obviamente debería solicitar estar conectado siempre. En esta ocasión este gran jugo y que espere con mucho anhelo se vio manchado por los precios elevados de autos, pocas recompensas, microtransacciones y el online forzoso. Moreover, the single-player experience lacks depth and so what you're left with, actually, is an allbeit very nice: playable demo of what GT 7 should have been.

    GT7 has turned me off the GT series and off the PS platform altogether. It's going to take some genius of a game to keep me interested in the platform now.    … Expand

    So much potential for this game. I had high hopes. A terrible launch, needing single player to be always online, horribly expensive microtransacrions or ridiculous grind to be be able to get some of the cars in game is just shockingly bad, has pushed me back towards playing Forza Horizon 5 until Forza Motorsport 8 is out.

Play is good but I finished the game in a matter of 2 1/2 days. I've been playing since the 1st GT and I was hoping that I would have a better experience than GT Sport but I ki d wish I had waited past pre launch and got some feed back first. One of the mane reasons why I'm with PlayStation because if I buy game on disk on Xbox in most cases I still have to downloaded it from cloud where ps4 /5 used to be most of game data in disk but that is changing... I bought gt7 for Ps5 put it in and was shocked 97gb to be Dowland? It took me 2 days (yeah that's rightI know for most people big download files not a problem, but for me is. GT7, however, already started out as mean with its rewards (chiefly the roulette spins that just happen to give you the lowest reward 90% of the time), and with the latest patch, they turned the game into a total grindfest that also tries to tug on your FOMO strings (e.g. the system of invitations: brief windows to buy expensive cars you most likely can't afford)... unless you'd like to buy some in-game currency *nudge* *nudge*

    I badly regret buying this game. I'd love a refund, but after two weeks of playing daily, I doubt I'd get it (PSN is notorious for being stingy with those at the best of times)    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer.     Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
