    Disgusting scam of a game. $70 full priced game with absurdly priced microtransactions, and as if that wasn't enough, the recent update lowered payouts of races to furthur push their MTX BS. Sony's greed knows no end. Also online only DRM sucks.

    Grand Turismo is a fantastic game the gameplay is sublime and a lot of fun! Sadly Polyphony Digital has gone down the route of greed with abusive game ruining microtransactions and DRM!

    Today is a sad day for Gran Turismo fans everywhere!

    endless server maintenance, microtransactions and deceive from GT7 and their production team,
    Sony has given up their reputation just want to rob money of players, Just like the Horizon Forbidden West, cheating players ten dollars unscrupulously.

    Why don't you rename yourself microtransaction digital.Grid legends is 200 times better than this and it doesn't have any micro transaction although ea published it.

    O jogo é lindo! E no quesito simulador, não existe melhor jogo, é claro que as microtransações e a conexão com a internet o tempo todo foi um tanto quanto decepcionante, mas se consegue acumular créditos na jogatina e gastar como bem entender.

    Cannot drive on favorite cars without paying real money. Although this software is a full price item, we need to pay money to enjoy the game. I cannot agree the stance for a game. I extremely regret purchasing digital edition. I want to sell it, but cannot. I decide the future, never buy Polyphony product against their policy.

As a casual player, it would take me 10-15 years to earn enough credits to buy most of the good cars.     Loved this game when it came out. Great graphics and the car simulation dynamics are awesome! However after the recent update making everything extremely expensive is a huge slap in the face to someone who's pre-ordered the game. Do not buy it now.

    Game got boring after menu levels were completed. With downtime issues, inability to sell cars and not enough championship races to keep me entertained. Beautiful but now I am bored already.

    Poor graphics, poor controls, pay to win. 650 cars in Gran Turismo 2 back in the 90s and now we have a game 23 years later that you have to PAY REAL MONEY for most of the good ones? Give me a break, gamers deserve better! I love Gran Turismo 1-4 but this new direction the series has taken is appauling.

They dont want users repeating the same race but there are no other races to actually make money from. I wish there was something lower than 0 to give this game.

    Sony and Polyphony Digital ruined the legacy of a 25 years game by trying to dethrone EA with its historical terrible micro transactions practices on Battlefront2 (that even EA had the common sense to remove from the game years ago). A full price game should NEVER have its content locked behind paywalls (40eur for a car that used to cost 2,99 in GT Sport???) while at the same timeSony and Polyphony Digital ruined the legacy of a 25 years game by trying to dethrone EA with its historical terrible micro transactions practices on Battlefront2 (that even EA had the common sense to remove from the game years ago). A full price game should NEVER have its content locked behind paywalls (40eur for a car that used to cost 2,99 in GT Sport???) while at the same time providing ridiculous low rewards for playing it (a typical technique to force players into micro transactions with real money). Not to mention the game can be incredibly boring at some times: for example the music rally is something really ridiculous that they force down any player throat before they can do anything with the game; Some of the challenges are the most boring I ever was faced with such as stupid races with the slowest possible cars like fiat500 on uphills, the fuel saving one where we are supposed to spend minutes driving as slow as possible to make the most number of kms, etc. The GT Sport online multiplayer legacy that attracted so many players due to its competitiveness, fairness and ease of use with its non existing tuning and mostly BOP regulated races has been totally lost in GT7, now races are all tuneable and exploitable both with tuning and meta cars (that are obviously bought usually with micro transactions). I truly regret pre ordering Gran Turismo, if possible I would just request a refund and would not touch it ever again until some serious changes had been done and price went down dramatically (Sorry PD but you lost my good faith where you deserved launch price for pre order game).
    Last but not least, it was really sleazy from PD and Sony to hide the micro transaction from all initial reviewers and only enable them for the public release, this was clear review manipulation that should not be allowed in this industry    … Expand

    This is an online game, you can't play it when the server is in maintenance.

    Please be aware of microtransactions since they're cutting the in-game rewards, or you'll need to farm money to buy new cars.

I was going into this with low expectations and it just blew me away. Certainly a must buy for all fans of racing games and cars in general. UPDATE - online only and servers are down.     After you complete the menu you get to grind and grind on low paying races or play championship races that pay little for the time involved in buying a car, turning a car, then racing for 10+ mins.     Not worth the money by far the worst gran turismo so far can’t even play solo if server is down and race payouts have been lowered and price for cars has gone up as a way for developers to be able to make more money from micro transactions. Also story mode is super short.

It's unfinished, barely improved on GT Sport and they've just added a patch making race rewards so low that it's impossible to get rare cars without either grinding 12+ hours a day or spending hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of pounds to get the rare cars.     I used to love the series. It did some questionable choices for the sake of money as far back as GT5 (selling single use paints as DLC, for instance), but it was never egregious, certainly nothing like today's games can get. GT7, however, already started out as mean with its rewards (chiefly the roulette spins that just happen to give you the lowest reward 90% of the time), and with the latest patch, they turned the game into a total grindfest that also tries to tug on your FOMO strings (e.g. the system of invitations: brief windows to buy expensive cars you most likely can't afford)... unless you'd like to buy some in-game currency *nudge* *nudge*    … Expand

    The microtransactions in it are utterlly foul. Despite the gameplay being fun Polyphony have done everything to show their distain for the players who have bought this game. It could take you weeks to earn enough in-game credits to buy some cars. And they've locked some behind a roulette system where you have to win an "invite" just to earn the right to buy them.     When will the greed and micro transactions end? pathetic amount of single player content, and then when they realized people were making too much money from the races and not spending enough on micro transactions, they pushed an update lowering the prize amount for many races.

    Absolute pathetic bait and switch. PD should be ashamed of themselves.

    I've been playing this series for the last 25 years I love it, I can turn a blind eye to so many little flaws it has but the one thing I can not ignore is the fact that it requires online connectivity to play 99% of the content. This is the last time I preorder anything related to PlayStation ever

    I'm done defending this game, after all that's happened the last few days with the in game prize money being cut to nearly half and the massive server outage for over 24 hours, seeing that Mclaren F1 pop up in the legends dealer for 18.5mil was the straw that broke the camels back. A good game ruined by greed. To the suits at Sony/Polyphony I hope you rot.

    Internet connection required, how do I play it in 20 years when the servers are off? Why during maintenance my symphony records were not saved? €99 for the 25th anniversary version, it's expensive to play with micro transactions. It is unacceptable to have to spend so many hours to buy all the vehicles and force players to pay.

    The game is stuck in the past. Both the series past and in terms of features like needing to be always online or it's atrocious mtx's ect. It also doesn't help that the game looks pretty bad and has a very out of date car list. This game had so much potential, to bad it was wasted

I cannot recommend this game (GT7) due to this heavy push towards MACROtransactions, the always online requirement, the sheer lack of content (it feels as though I spent $90 on a demo), and glaring bugs like pitstops that take over aI've been playing the GT series since the first one came out on PSX in 1997 and it's the main reason I stuck with PlayStation consoles all these years.     It's not a massive jump from Gran Turismo Sport, which is not bad. The gameplay, visuals, and audio are awesome as expected. But the always-online requirement and micro-transaction focus have no place in this game. They just destroyed the whole fun and experience.

This is something you would normally see in a F2P game, not one that cost $70. They recently further nerfed payouts for races just to push things further toward micro transactions.
    I would have been happy with a length campaign like the old days (which is what they sold me on), but that certainly isn't what is in this game. Not to mention you cant play campaign when servers go down.
    To further ruin the experience my game was bugged for 4-5 days where if I opened licenses to complete them the game would just shut down. I reached out to PD and Sony and neither would do anything. Dont waste your money buying this game they certainly don't care about you after they have your money. I'll never buy another PD game again, which is a shame because I thought they were one of the good devs left. apparently microtransactions bring even the top companies down.    … Expand

They literally make it an overly tedious grind in order to incentivise the player to purchase in game currency. What a scum bag move. Sony and PD should be ashamed but you know they're not.

    Tons of microtransactions. Every "Roulette" ticket I've gotten so far has been literally the lowest payout possible. Cars cost an unrealistic amount compared to race rewards. Plus the story of the game is insufferable. Racing mechanics and car customization/selection are the only highlights.

    The only big change GT7 created different than previous Gran Turismo titles is the microtransactions. You can either grind hours a day for a week to afford a single competitive car or you can pull out your credit card and pay for it. A car that cost $3 in a previous GT entry now cost $40 real world money. This is after being charged a hefty amount just to download the game. This sucks.

    It has everything I dreamed of gran turismo to become. Yes, it is grinding and seems unfair but the old games has always been grinding and I really feel that with this one, they nicely balanced things out. Or maybe I’m buyest on this one. I’ve always loved the Gran Turismo series and really been up to that grind on collecting the cars. IDK I like it

    1.08 came out with only new bugs and all the cr farm halved. Said that we don't want people to make microtransactions, won't price the car base on real money, and released an 18 million F1??? But still the game was ok and and overall somewhat enjoyable in the career mode. I have a very busy job so I need to really schedule in gaming time.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
