    We’ll start by saying this game has wonderful graphics, great physics, and awesome realism overall. Unfortunately, all of that is ruined by the micro-transactions and the currency system implemented. I’m not exaggerating when I say it is awful. There are no races that net you 100k and if they come close to that amount, it’s a 20-30 min race. But most races don’t get earn you more thanWe’ll start by saying this game has wonderful graphics, great physics, and awesome realism overall. Unfortunately, all of that is ruined by the micro-transactions and the currency system implemented. I’m not exaggerating when I say it is awful. There are no races that net you 100k and if they come close to that amount, it’s a 20-30 min race. But most races don’t get earn you more than 30-50k. Now, that being said, some cars (all the good ones) cost over a million. The most expensive I’ve seen so far in the Legends shop being 18.5 million in game credits for the mclaren f1 and there are many others over the 10 million credit mark. Now, are we expected to grind away at the same races over and over again for *literally* 60-100 hours for one car? I guess so. BUT, polyphony and Sony have a way around that: Micro-transactions! That’s right, that $70 you paid wasn’t enough to get even close to driving most of the cars in game, pal. Now let’s do some basic math. If GT7 charges $20.00 USD of your hard earned American dollars for 2 million in-game credits, you’d pay $185 USD to buy that one car. How wonderful is that? I might as well start saving up for a real life mclaren F1 at this point instead of being able to get all the cars in-game. Oh, and let’s not forget the upgrades for the cars that should normally cost you 100-200k in game credits to get up to speed and competitive. Then, there’s the car invitations. I love these things. Let’s say you were rich out of your mind and spent all of your hard earned (or mommy and daddy’s hard earned) cash, and you had the in game credits to buy that 3.6 million dollar Ferrari. Well guess what? Too bad. You have to be “invited” in the game to buy it. Because money wasn’t enough, you to have to grind it out until the game decides you can buy it. Oh and let’s say you get an invitation to buy that 4 million dollar car and you don’t have the money (you never will, you’re almost always floating around with 200-400k at most), we’ll again, too bad. You have 2 weeks to buy that car or the invitation is gone and you won’t have the opportunity to buy it again. Yep. I hate this game. Luckily, I have a gaming PC and will be buying forza Motorsport 8 when that comes out or stick to forza horizon 5 for now, unless polyphony decides to FIX THE FREAKING GAME. greedy people, unreal.… Expand

Now, PolyPHONIES are the drugged, coked out whores that you'd find in a broken-down brothel. Furthering this, the harlot is infested with STIs, mites, and needle lesions. But hey, still cleaner than how PolyPhony's been operating, as of late.

    You can not play offline ( only music mode), so if they decided to kill the server, you lose your game.
    The micro-transaction is awful. you pay almost 100 bucks for the game to grind. However the intentionally nerf the grinding part. so.....

    Pay to win, the amount of grinding that is required to just get one super car is more than most RPGs. Microtransactions to the tune of roughly 200 US dollars just to get enough in game credit to buy the McLaren F1...yeah no thanks.

    I had hoped for more after reading the professional reviews, it seemed that gran turismo was finally back. Unfortunately there is not enough to separate this from GT sport and you might as well save your money until a steep discount not only to save your own wallet but to send a message to polyphony and Sony.     Gran Turismo is a cool saga in general but from the GT6 until now they stat to loose the feeling, now this game looks like a PS3 game, is expensive in price and becomes in a pay to win, Sony is going to the hole with every new game with bugs, poor quality and cheap results for a high proce, this GT7 is a shae.

    I can't say anything that hasn't been said dozens of times, but I'll share my thoughts nonetheless. Twenty years ago I bought a Playstation 2 just specifically to play Gran Turismo 3. I mowed lawns, I washed cars, I shoveled snow, I mulched, I weeded, with one singular purpose. I wanted to play Gran Turismo 3. I wanted to be able to get a feeling of all those cars I spent hundreds of hoursI can't say anything that hasn't been said dozens of times, but I'll share my thoughts nonetheless. I wanted to play Gran Turismo 3. I wanted to be able to get a feeling of all those cars I spent hundreds of hours dreaming about. When I finally got the game, it was everything I wanted it to be. It was everything I thought a game could be. I did all the licenses. I spent hours agonizing over tune decisions and grind strategies. I ran the Clubman Cup so so so so so many times. I had the ludicrously overpowered Pikes Peak Escudo. I ran endurance races fully in A Spec because I got so much genuine joy and satisfaction from finishing a long race. I felt like my heroes on TV at LeMans. I felt *immersed*. I know what doesn't feel immersive. It doesn't feel immersive to drive each car for maybe 12 minutes. Throwing in enough upgrades to blow the doors off the field, because how else are you going to cover a 45 second gap *in two laps of a 2 mile course*. How is passing 11 cars and like they're on lawn mowers The Real Driving Simulator? How on earth could they possibly have come to the conclusion that this is the best concept for Every . Single. Race. Every race. Every single one. It doesn't make sense. It feels willfully ignorant and deliberate to have absolutely no acknowledgement of any series races at all. Nevermind all the mtx. Nevermind the inability to sell cars. Nevermind the credit nerfing. Nevermind the 'real life car pricing' that says a Honda s2000 costs *a hundred thousand dollars*. Nevermind that a roulette 'prize' can be the chance to spend *fourty real dollars on one car*. Let's say the game gets a free pass on absolutely every single one of those things. And let's pretend those are every single one of the shortcomings. Let's set all those examples aside. The fact that a fully fledged, numbered Gran Turismo game. A game that took *nine years of development* to release, and the closest thing to a career mode has you changing cars LITERALLY every 12 minutes. It's just inexcusable.     25 years later and the A.I is still dumb as YOU KNOW WHAT. I strictly enjoy this game as a single player carrer game I hardly touch online yet this game requires a active connection. Such a shame. Still better the. Sports. :-)

    Deceptive marketing tactic by Sony & PD by not showing their monetary policy to reviewers. Suckered for a $90 “racing simulator” that:

    -Has no SP without being connected online
    -MTX as a means of progress
    -Short SP experience -Very low race payout
    -Terrible AI
    -No ability to grid start in any mission

It did some questionable choices for the sake of money as far back as GT5 (selling single use paints as DLC, for instance), but it was never egregious, certainly nothing like today's games can get.     Solid gameplay and customization options, great selection of cars each feels different.

    Enough modes and tracks to keep you racing. Menus can be a bit outdated but have great content. Visuals and lighting are very impressive. License tests are challenging and fun. Simply a must own on PS5 if you like racing games.

    Total rug pull. Not able to access single player game if the server is offline. On top of extremely aggressive MTX and hostility towards its players. Sony denied my refund even I didn't download the game. The crime was I pre-ordered and its "past 14 days". So glad that Sony is so friendly towards their customers. Don't ever pre-order or buy digital from Sony because they will screw you.

    Predatory micro transaction system makes it feel like a mobile game. Lowering race payouts to force micro transactions, and getting the best cars in the game takes literally 20-30 hours of doing nothing but playing. It's a joke.

    In SO many ways, this is a wonderful game. As someone who played GT1-4, but then found himself with an XB rather than a PS for over a decade, it has been a joy to get back to the series. That said, the most recent update has sucked the like out of this game for me. With the most recent update and nerfed payout, the cold reality for me, a somewhat casual player in my old(er) age, is that I’ll never see the nicest cars, unless I’m willing to drop $100+ of my hard-earned money (in addition to the cost of the game!). I simply will not do this. Poly’s craven efforts at limiting in-game currency so they can push microtransactions are pitiful. They deserve anything they get. Once they fix in-game payouts to be reasonable and address some of the other irritations with campaign and roulettes, it will be a game I’ll recommend to friends. Until then, itMs going to cost Poly more in lost sales than it would for me to buy the McLaren. It’s sad, but I guess that’s the state of AAA gaming these days…… Expand

    Buy the game. And it's broken. Weird glitches.... license tests with wrong tires making it impossible to achieve the goal. Then a 2 hour maintenance is still offline over a day layer with no word of whats happening. Utterly disappointed. They have been working on this for long enough to be released without this **** I seriously wouldn't bother. Stick to forza

    Great looking game and great racing mechanics. However the always online for single player is a big issue...especially when it made the game I paid 80e unplayable. There is also unfortunately a grind for credits and an over pricingof cars. Very poor damage mechanics really make this a poor all round package. Particularly disappointing when you know polyphony can do better!

    Requires an always online connection for the majority of single player activities. I didn't pay $90 to load up the game only to see that their servers are down and you can't do anything. On top of that you've got a heavily skewed in game economy that is pushing you to do micro transactions to purchase more cars/content. Irritating to say the least.

    This is a 9/10 game that has been turned into an abysmal grindfest by the incredible greed of Sony and Polyphony Digital with Yamauchi being front and center in trying (and miserably failing) to defend this garbage. Without paying them extra money, the game is a horrid experience. Progression is incredibly slow and repetitive grinding is a requirement... unless you want to slip Sony and PDThis is a 9/10 game that has been turned into an abysmal grindfest by the incredible greed of Sony and Polyphony Digital with Yamauchi being front and center in trying (and miserably failing) to defend this garbage.     Game in current state unplayable. You can complain about a lot of things, microtransactions, online obligation, but for me its oversteering of the cars. Not able to drive a FR or RR cars and take a curve without spin like a gyroscope, absolute ridiculous. Played every GT since PS2 and had never a problem with that. Look on Reddit, its a common problem.

Started playing the game and it was fun at first. I bought a use skyline r34 did a few upgrades and was broke. The grind is unbelievable. Then I found the microtransaction option and my heart literally sank. If I could I wouldI was so excited for this game. Then I got it and was extremely disappointed that i couldn't play story mode offline. I really wanted to play so I paid for psn sub. Started playing the game and it was fun at first. I bought a use skyline r34 did a few upgrades and was broke. The grind is unbelievable. Then I found the microtransaction option and my heart literally sank.     Online play must be unlocked in said "career" mode. (You need to make it to book 9 in the GT Cafe I believe before you can actually race other people)
    Single player cannot be accessed unless you are online.
    A heavily weighted roulette reward system akin to what you'd find in more predatory F2P titles.
    Certain cars and upgrades locked behind said roulette reward system.
    Woefully low payouts for races in a game that prioritizes car collection.
    Used Car lot is very slow to refresh cars.
    Used Car lot has "limited supply" of fan favorite vehicles.
    The inability to sell vehicles, something the current Playstation Store page for the game even seems to suggest you can do.
    Every time you earn credits, reminders that you can buy credits in the PSN store.
    Said credits in the PSN store being rather pricey for those trying to buy the more expensive cars.
    Car prices higher than in previous GT titles.
    High end fan favorite cars that could be bought with in-game credits in previous titles now locked behind a limited time offer "Invitation" system that requires you to buy it now or risk never getting another chance to buy it again.

    ... The list goes on. My recommendation, avoid this game. At the very least, hold off and hope some major changes come to the game that fixes a lot of the issues. Maybe by then, it'll hopefully be cheaper than $70 USD...    … Expand

    Welcome to modern gaming. The customer is a victim. This is the second, and last, game I’ve preordered. I stupidly thought I could trust the GT brand. Lesson learned. I don’t have time to grind so I’m going to walk away from the game until the meta vehicles are established. Then I’ll buy them with the credits I have saved and race them. I’ll enjoy other games until then.

Instead it’s another miserable cash grab that tried to turn you upside down and shake as much money out of you every five minutes even though you already paid $70 for the game.     Downgrade from GT Sport. Was a long wait with high expectations but I'm very disappointed. After 1.08 things got worse. I can't believe I spent so much money in the anniversary edition and now I have to pay to enjoy the game. I guess this is my last Gran Turismo. It's a shame because I have been a big fan for 25 years...

    Allow offline play and adjust the roulettes/credits. There’s no reason I need an internet connection to play a single player racing game. I’ve been playing since GT1 20 years ago.     The game has a great fantastic core but the game pushes micro transactions. The community found a decent way (not even really) to make credits.... They immediately did an update to screw us over. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.... And I LOVED the GT series since PSx GT1. This is sad and pathetic.

Online saves also make impossible for restarting from scratch with Cr 1,000,000 from the anniversary version - lame. Micro transactions are micro scams. Avoid them! In retrospect, GTS is a better game as a whole - it only lacks the updated physics, weather and so. Maybe it is not PD's intention to milk users by making progress ridiculously slow, but every one knows how the saying goes. No Bopped races so far, too boot. Lame, lame, lame.… Expand

    Great example how to ruin a game shortly after release. Every step taken obviously had only one goal; to increase microtransactions and squeeze as much money out of the players as possible. That behavior is absolutely unacceptable and will unfortunately make me and many other players quit. Hope they are satisfied now. Really sad as the game itself did have potential.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
